Let No.13 be lucky for all of us.

Good luck, losers.

All welcome!

Some statistics for all of you who are concerned about slow loss:

I've been looking at my diary for 2025.
I lost exactly two and a half stone in that year.

I worked it out as 0.67lb a week.

That's 2.8lb a month.

But look, it all adds up.

Also, since January this year, I've lost 12lb. That's about the same rate of loss.

Yes, it all adds up. Keep going, everyone.

That seems to be how I'm doing,I got to 10 and a half stone off and it just massively slowed down..
But I am a lazy article..I swim loads ,but pretty much nothing else .
I'm currently a size 16/18 in ASOS ,but I do want to get lower ,unless the loose skin gets bad / much worse

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/03/2026 12:13

Hi @Springflowers2
I found that the loose skin started to improve gradually.

Just as the hair loss stopped and then reversed itself, and the fat bulgy tummy became (nearly) flat, the loose skin (particularly around my neck) has got tighter. That's not what I expected at the age of 69 but my whole body is not bad for an Old Lady.

I don't feel my age anymore anyway.
Before MJ I struggled with everything. Walking was hard, having a shower exhausted me, yes, changing the bed was a marathon.

Not now though.

I do still feel guilty though ... WLI have made a big difference to my weight and energy (and I am only part way through the experience) but am feeling guilty about needing so much money £2500 in year one, and about needing so much support to regain control.

For the record DH has never complained about either aspect.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/03/2026 13:15

Urgh Vinted have caused a dilemma in my life this afternoon.

I sold a load of stuff yesterday so I ought to schlepp to the post office, but we keep getting intermittent hailstones and I feel cold anyway.

Should I brave the elements?
🤣

NSV

I was looking at some tops on Amazon and it informed me that I'd bought a particular item before, two years ago.
I had a look at the order and I'd bought size XXL.

However, Amazon were now telling me that I should get a size S.

Even Amazon has decided that I've lost nearly 10st! It took them long enough.
🤣

I love this. Mine said are you sure when I ordered my last lot of wirapa knickers. Small from XXL

TheZingyFish · 28/03/2026 15:49

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne
That is so encouraging that you say the loose skin is improving. That has been a big concern of mine and perhaps why I’m thinking of stopping at about a size 14/16 as can already see baggy skin. I guess we will all have to go with the flow and see what happens. It’s very interesting that you say that the hair loss has stopped and started to grow back as well as this has been a bit of a concern as well.

Love the support and advice that this group shares.

Fffreeeeezing · 28/03/2026 16:25

Week 54 and another 1lb off week which means only 3lb to a 9 stone loss. Also means I’m exactly 4st away from my initial target weight (subject to change obvs)

Saw my GP this week and she was really really positive, about the weight loss and the fact I am now off my blood pressure medication. As she pointed out, even if I did have the co-morbidities for her to prescribe my MJ (I don’t), I wouldn’t now qualify because of the 20 point drop in my BMI 😁

Ordered a few things from New Look this week in a size 18, all of them are going back because they were all too big, My M&S jeans I bought in the sale in January have gone from being a snug ish 18 to a baggy falling off my hips 18. God I need some new clothes but I just don’t know what to wear/buy!

Hope everyone has the best week!

I am HAMMERING the skincare to combat droopy skin! I love that bit of the day when I’m looking after my skin and having fun with serum and creams!

52soon · 28/03/2026 17:11

NSV today I just bought a pair of joggers in Asda size 16 and matching top in 16-18 and that’s a bit big! I still don’t believe they’re going to fit when I pick them up and still automatically pickup 22-24. I shall be parading around the airport in them Tuesday itching to see if that seat belt does up without the dreaded extender. Dropped under 90kg earlier in the week but this morning back to 90 exactly but did weigh after breakfast so will see what tomorrow says and record whatever it is.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 28/03/2026 17:25

@52soon I didn't need an extender last month at 100-odd kg so you definitely shouldn't at 90kg 🥰

My NSV today is that I ran the whole way round parkrun (I'd been running for 10-15 mins then walking for 1-2 for the last few weeks) - I didn't plan to but felt good so just kept going! I also took a little bit more off my time so although I am a long way from my overall 5k PB, I'm only about 5 mins from my PB for this course. The way I'm going I should get to that time in 2-3 months which would be amazing!

The Dr. said Mounjaro could be the missing piece of the jigsaw for me

Yes, indeed.
For all of us who have struggled with our weight for so many years, MJ has been the missing link.

It's endlessly fascinating to me.
I'm paying precisely no attention to the people who are sniping in the background, because I look and feel amazing.

Exactly, couldn’t agree more. If this was any other condition people would just be happy about the obvious health improvements offered especially given how people hammer on about the health risks of being fat. The important thing for me is that Ive finally found something that has the potential to avoid me dropping dead in 5 years like my father (and his father, and 2 of my uncles), and unlike him being around for my youngest child to reach double figures.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 28/03/2026 18:05

If a medication which reversed the effects of dementia had been found, the world would be cheering.

But because it's lazy, greedy, out-of-control fat people getting thinner, there are swathes of society who are jeering, and hoping that it'll come to an end because some horrific side-effect will become evident.

Society seems to need fat people, for the thin people to mock and deride.
Hmm

Theringcycle · 28/03/2026 18:35

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne i already know that some family members (and probably some of my friends, but mainly family members) will struggle with me not being the fat one.

Placemarking.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 28/03/2026 20:34

I'm going to have a real test of the suppression/lack of food noise tonight - I'm on a 12 hour night shift with currently nothing to do! That would normally be a trigger for boredom eating but I have had dinner and am very full so no need to eat. I still keep getting an urge/instinct to snack but so far I am resisting. The tin of fancy biscuits on the table is not helping though!!

There does seem to be a large number who come out with versions of 'injecting god knows what' as though drug companies are filling the injections from a ditch.

These drugs work, not for everyone but for an awful lot of people.

Plus they are now showing other benefits. Other conditions are showing marked improvements.

It doesnt mean 'take WLI and you will live forever' but what it could mean is people going into middle age fit and active. This could have huge benefits for society and economy.

PearlsTeapot · 29/03/2026 13:08

Urgh gained 2lb this week, don’t know how as I’ve eaten the same as previous weeks. Oh well. Trust the process!! I was hoping to lose 1lb to hit 7 stone and now I’ve got 3lb to go to get there.

Yes there are
I had been quite open about using WLI ,then I decided I didn't want people knowing and I told everyone ( when they brought it up ) that I hadn't bought any since last August when the price went up ....
Well then people really showed their true colours..
The amount of people who said ,,"it was much better to do it naturally"
Thank goodness I'm not injecting rubbish in to myself any more ,
Well done for loosing weight without cheating!!!!
Seriously,OMG at the comments I got ..
A lot of people who had seemed supportive of WLI to my face ,when I said I had stopped taking them , had obviously not been supportive to start with

52soon · 29/03/2026 14:03

Start of wk49 on MJ
HW 19st7lbs 124kg
MJ SW 18st1lb 115kg
CW 14st1lb 89.4kg
4st loss on MJ
Going on cruise this week, jabbed last night and not taking it with me but will jab day I’m back. Most of my clothes are last summer so a bit big but look ok, didn’t want to buy new as would like new summer clothes when weather better here and doing another cruise in October and I hope to have lost another 2 stone by then.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 29/03/2026 16:59

So I managed to ignore the biscuits last night, weirdly not long after I posted I just completely forgot about food, all I ate was a slice of toast around 4am after my break, then didn't need anything until around 2pm when I woke up from my post-night shift sleep.

@PearlsTeapot you're absolutely right, trust the process, bodies are a law unto themselves and it will come back off soon enough

@52soon enjoy the cruise! I am very jealous, I'd love to do a cruise but don't have anyone to go with (husband and kids would never set foot on one), and also no money!

52soon · 29/03/2026 19:17

@RenegadeKeeblerElf don’t know how this cruise will go as taking my mother and 3 adult sons 20,23 and 28 my eldest is getting deployed overseas when we get back, usually just me and husband go and just us in October but it’s my mum’s 75th birthday in summer but celebrating now while we’re all together. I’ve no idea what they will think of it, I’m sure the all inclusive alcohol will keep them busy🍺🍸

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 30/03/2026 08:09

It's almost 6 months now since I shared some photos on this group (not before photos as I'd been on MJ for 3 months by that point) and I'm wearing the same top today so I thought I'd share some updates. There is about 24kg difference between the photos (3.5-4stone) NB - I am wearing a swimsuit under the clothes which is why my bust is a weird shape!

Wowee @RenegadeKeeblerElf you can really see the difference, massive well done. I love comparison photos, it really helps us to see our progress when our brains are refusing to catch up x

PearlsTeapot · 30/03/2026 08:52

Wow @RenegadeKeeblerElf amazing difference! You must be so happy!!

@Doggymummar it’s your weekly reminder to jab 💉
