At this rate I will end up going cold turkey and having to just come of monjroro.
I'm expecting my doctor to not commit to a decision either , because the ADHD medication is going through her ,I'm still with the company who diagnosed me

Springflowers2 · 08/05/2026 14:12

Not going through her

SilenceInside · 08/05/2026 14:16

I don't think the ADHD provider have an issue though, they're just being awkward about the request for information, and don't want to communicate with you as the patient. I don't think you need them to do anything for you, and they will keep prescribing to you.

If you want to continue with Mounjaro, just apply to a new provider.

Springflowers2 · 08/05/2026 14:18

But won't I have the same problem, with a new provider..

Springflowers2 · 08/05/2026 14:19

Any suggestions of where to go , provider wise

SilenceInside · 08/05/2026 14:22

No you won’t have the same problem. I mean, a new provider might be a weird as your current one is being, but unlikely. I’m with SwiftDoctor, I’ve heard good things about Pharmulous, Medicine Market Place usually is one of the cheapest and seem to get good reviews too.

Springflowers2 · 08/05/2026 14:24

Actually..aren't the company I buy monjroro from doctors..so why can't they make the decision..
I've been with them 6 months and added a new medication 3 weeks a go .
They should be able to make decision themselves, not insist they want someone else to do it ..also they have my doctors details, yet have said they will be happy if i speak to my doctor and get back to them ..so clearly it's to much trouble for them to contact my doctor themselves.
My frustration tolerance is very thin today

SilenceInside · 08/05/2026 14:29

@Springflowers2 providers can be doctor-led or they can be pharmacists with additional training. Either way, they are responsible for the prescribing decision and they should be deciding based on the info given to them.

Honestly I would not consider your current Mounjaro provider for a moment longer and just move on from them to another company.

Springflowers2 · 08/05/2026 14:30

I hear you ..
I just find it so stressful swapping 😕

Springflowers2 · 08/05/2026 14:36

I got myself in a right state after I decided I was going to stop monjroro.
I think I've got quite reliant on it
The more I think about it ,if I had to choose between my ADHD meds or monjroro.well it would be a very close call.
But I can't stay on it forever ( pennies )
Ive seen so many articles saying how someone put lots of weight back on ,just by stopping the medication.. logically I know that can't happen, especially if the person stays in calorie deficit.
But it all just adds to the worry of when I eventually will have to manage my weight alone

Yes. But once you've done the swap, it's easy for next time.

And you've got a few doses left in your pen, so you've got time. Plenty of time.

Please don't panic @Springflowers2

You'll manage to do this.
You're perfectly capable but it seems like a mountain to climb at the moment.

I would strongly advise you not to even mention the methylphenidate to your new provider. We know that it's not an issue to take them together.
Every place we've all googled it says you can take them together.

So just don't tell the new provider that you're on ADHD meds.

Thanks for the support guys
Much appreciated xx

Ketra · 08/05/2026 17:26

Just to note, if you go for Medicine Marketplace they have just changed their website and are advising orders will take longer to process. Mine usually gets approved within 24 hours but currently it's been 48 and they haven't looked at it yet. Not an issue for me as I have stock, but something to bear in mind if you order a week out.

I placed mine on Monday and it was posted yesterday.

It'll arrive tomorrow.

MMP are the only pharmacy I've used where my pens arrive with a still-frozen ice pack. I've used ten different places and this is the only one that can do this.

It’s interesting the different experiences everyone has. Every pharmacy of the 6 or so that I’ve used the delivery has arrived with frozen ice packs. SwiftDoctor are particularly good at getting the delivery to me next day without fail.

I wonder if mine end up defrosted most of the time because I live so far away from civilisation. Almost everything I buy online takes an additional day (often two) to get here.

I'm 100 miles from Glasgow. Three hours away, on the Kintyre Peninsula.

However, MMP manage to get my pens to me with the ice pack still frozen.

MMP are based in Preston, so maybe it’s because they are that bit closer to you than the other pharmacies? I am in the South East of England so if a company can’t deliver to me then there’s no hope for anywhere else!

Ah, I didn't realise. Yes, it's not too far to get things to Glasgow from there.
Once any parcels get to Glasgow, they arrive at my door the next morning.

Time for a new thread?

PearlsTeapot · 08/05/2026 20:45

@Springflowers2 tomorrow when you’re calmer just order a pen from medicine marketplace, I wouldn’t even mention the adhd meds. But if you do I’m sure they’ll be fine anyway.

Bearing in mind I managed to forget to start the one before this one, and notwithstanding we tend to fill up our threads very quickly, I've started the next one.

Let's finish this one first, though.
I hate waste.
I expect that's how I got so fat in the first place
