Good luck @eibbed999 I really hope it goes well for you. I think putting the brakes on now is a good choice. Good luck, not sure about the calculation

PositiveAttitude · 25/04/2026 07:41

@eibbed999yes, your maths is correct. 10 clicks will be 2.5mg
I really hope this reset works for you. It sounds as if it has been a really tough few months. And, yes, I totally understand your mixed emotions!!
Good luck!! Keep us posted on how it is going.

Fantastic loss @RenegadeKeeblerElf. I think we started about the same time as you at about the same weight. But you have zoomed ahead of me!! Well done. I am looking forward to this summer being able to wear nice summer clothes and not feeling like a sweaty mess wearing a tent (with shorts on underneath to stop the chaffing) 😏

I have found that the first thing I eat in the morning sets the scene for my day. On a Friday morning I often have a little treat at work... And then am not mindful of what I eat for the rest of the day. At least now it is only for a few hours at the most and not going into weeks of bad eating.

My weight loss has really slowed down, but I have noticed (and so have others) that my shape is changing far quicker than my losses now. Clothes sizing is driving me mad. I am wearing sizes 18-20, some of which are baggy, but I am desperate to get into a lovely dress I bought in a size 22 and it is still refusing to sit right on me and looks ridiculous!! Grrrrr!!

The sun is shining here. Have a good weekend you lovely bunch of ladies. I am so grateful for this thread. I may not post too often, but I always read your posts and cheer you on from the background.

eibbed999 · 25/04/2026 07:43

I find the same @PositiveAttitude - if the first thing I eat is a pastry or something sweet, I'm in trouble for the rest of the day! I've found over the years that I work best if I don't have any kind of breakfast at all, and just eat from lunch time onwards, when I'm also far more likely to be sensible! Though as previously mentioned, me and sensible are barely on nodding terms right now...

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 25/04/2026 10:03

@RenegadeKeeblerElf our stats are so similar! I started at 140kg and am 94.6kg today. It’s taken me a little longer, today is jab 50, you are doing brilliantly!

@eibbed999 good luck with the reset, I really hope you get that early suppression back again.

Clotheswise I really need my bottom half to do some catching up, I’ve always held weight there. I have started wearing some size 14 tops which seems impossible. However I’m still hovering around size 18-20 on the bottom depending on the fit. Not quite able to shop in real shops for trousers with confidence something will fit alas, looking forward to that.

Interesting about what you eat first. On MJ I was Omad and that was easy. This wegovy is so weak I am eating several times a day. Just had a bagel with butter and honey. I hope it keeps me going. I had my dinner at 4pm yesterday as I was so hungry.

Doesn't seem like the Wegovy is working out for you @Doggymummar - very frustrating. I wonder if it will get easier as you work your way through doses?

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 25/04/2026 11:19

I’ve always eaten three meals a day during my MJ journey (with 1-2 snacks). What I’ve noticed is that the amount and type of food during the first half of the day are more important for me. If I have a good breakfast and lunch, I find my evenings are less calorie heavy, and I don’t have any desire to snack. However, if I skip breakfast or have a less filling lunch, I can eat, eat, and eat during the evening regardless of my dinner size. I find it weird, but I’ve adjusted and now make sure that I have a good, protein heavy breakfast and lunch, dinner is just to top up.

also, if my breakfast is bagel/toast instead of yogurt, I do feel hungry quite soon afterwards. Hence trying to stay away from bread. (Just finished a lovely toasted bagel with smoked salmon and cream cheese 😂)

@eibbed999 good luck my darling. Yes, your maths is correct.

@Doggymummar I'd just inject 7.2mg of the Wegovy and be dammed.

That dose is the new equivalent of a 15mg dose of MJ, which is what you were on. The trouble is (annoyingly) that this is 3 x doses from a 2.4mg pen.

Others may disagree with this, so please chime in and comment.

If I was doing this, I'd just use one needle, do one jab, then dial up the next dose and jab somewhere else (with the same needle) and finally, dial up the third dose, move the injection site yet again, and bung it in.

Ignore the above if you've actually got a 7.2mg pen.

Thank you kindly 😍

TragicMuse · 25/04/2026 12:21

Lots of love and force to you @PearlsTeapot I hope you are better and home again very soon.

And to you @eibbed999 and @Doggymummar feeling like the promised land is barred to you is horrible. I’m crossing my fingers for both of you.

I got back from my few days away, WI this morning, it’s a small gain of 1.25lbs. I was braced for more so I’ll take that.

My next goal is to lose that plus a couple more to get to 100lbs lost. That’s my target for the next 2 weeks. And to enjoy my new trousers getting a bit looser!

Im unemployed so I can't afford £300 a month for 7.2 or I would. I'm selling everything I own on eBay just to live at the minute. I've got 2.4 on the way for next month which hopefully will be better.

@PearlsTeapot sending you love and strength and I hope that the 28 days fly by and you’re back at home with nearest and dearest sooner than you know

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 25/04/2026 15:22

@eibbed999 your post really resonated with me. I have been there so many times in the past, and I can't rule out that I won't be there again in the future. I do think that for some people, eating like that is actually a form of self harm - in the same way that other people get a release/adrenaline rush from hurting themselves in some way, which can temporarily take away emotional pain, I think the same can be true of using food in an unhealthy way. I don't want to assume this is the case for you, but I do think it's worth considering. That said, it's great to hear that you want to break the cycle and have started again with the jabs after your break, and I really really hope it helps for you and you get back on track.

@Doggymummar I agree with the others, protein is key. I find that when I eat carby/sugary meals I get hungry again much quicker than if I eat something high protein. Maybe try some eggs/cheese/meat with your bagel and see if that helps.

eibbed999 · 25/04/2026 15:38

I don't think there's any doubt that it is a form of self harm @RenegadeKeeblerElf - and an addiction. The added complexity for most of us is also that unlike other addictions or self destructive behaviour, we can't stop eating completely!

Absolutely! We can't go cold turkey so face a constant balancing act between eating enough to fuel our bodies but not so much we are fuelling our desire to eat more. For me that's where the MJ is most impactful and I am so sad for you that you stopped getting that benefit, I am so conscious that I could fall back into that cycle at any point and so grateful that I have something that can protect me from it.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 25/04/2026 17:56

Clothing dilema, what would you do?

Today I saw a beautiful summer dress in the shop window. I absolutely love it. But ... I'm still too fat for it. I'm so tempted to buy it in a much smaller size (12/14) inpreparation for me getting there eventually. Is this nuts? Will I eventually need a different size? Should I just leave it until I'm at my target as they'll be other dresses?

MrTiddlesTheCat · 25/04/2026 17:59

This is the dress:

Midi klänning i bäckebölja | Lindex https://share.google/940kRtPaJIg4vTQIl

Ketra · 25/04/2026 18:22

@MrTiddlesTheCat Is getting to that smaller realistic for you? If so, I would go for it even if you aren't going to be able to wear it for a while.

Doggymummar · 25/04/2026 18:31

Cute dress @MrTiddlesTheCat are you likely to get there this summer or is it a further away goal? I bought things to slim into and whizzed past them real quick, needed to sell them unworn

MrTiddlesTheCat · 25/04/2026 18:34

@eibbed999 I don't know if this helpful with your reset or not, but I had similar issues with binge eating. So much so that I attended an eating disorders clinic for a year. Both them and my current dietician were in agreement on how you handle binge eating. You have to train your body to trust that it's going to get fed when it needs it.

You do this by eating regularly and consistently, regardless of whether you feel hungry or not. 3 meals a day plus 2 snacks, 3-4 hours apart. Never go more than 4 hours without eating something. If you over eat at a meal you still have something else 3-4 hours later, even if you feel like you're bursting. If you do it consistently you'll find you start to eat less in expectation of eating again.

As you get into the habit of eating to this schedule you can start to make changes to what you eat to reduce your calorie intake further.

My weekday schedule is:
Breakfast (250 ish cals) 7.30 am
Snack: (100 ish cals) 10.00 am
Lunch: (500 ish cals) 1.00 pm
Snack: (100 ish cals) 4.00 pm
Dinner: (500 ish cals) 7.00 pm

On weekends my breakfast is 10.00 am as I don't like getting up and I have my second snack in the evening.

Since starting mounjaro I am struggling a bit with the snacks. I'm only on 2.5 mg so have no trouble being hungry and eating the main meals, but I have to work at eating the snacks too.

eibbed999 · 25/04/2026 18:36

Very interesting, thank you @MrTiddlesTheCat for that information.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 25/04/2026 18:38

@Ketra Dunno. To be honest, I'm not entirely sure it's realistic for me to have got down to the weight I am now. I keep expecting to step on the scales and find it's all been some big cosmic joke and I'm still at my start weight.

@Doggymummar There's no chance I'll be in it this summer. I'm currently a 22/24. But I was a 26/28. So it's a more long-term goal.

MisfitMagpie · 26/04/2026 09:24

I've had 2 NSVs this weekend;

For years I have been using an oversized camping chair with a 28st / 180 kg weight limit that is bulky, used a much smaller & lower limit chair and it survived! Will be so much easier to carry round in the summer at festivals.

I bought a new mummy sleeping bag years ago and couldn't do it up so bought a double sleeping bag instead, on Friday I decided to try it and it not only did up but I could also fit my arms by my sides and move around in it!
