Let No.13 be lucky for all of us.

Good luck, losers.

All welcome!

Sorry @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne , yes, @SilenceInside has it right. My goal is to lose 50% of my starting weight, give or take.

Losing 10% is my first proper milestone, so I'm pretty happy. But I know it's going to start slowing down at some point, I just hope that's not for a long while!

It's okay, I couldn't figure out where the 20% came in.
🤣

Hello, I've just done my first Wegovy injection of 0.25 today and I have a LOT to lose with a bmi of 45 😱

What is the Mumsnet etiquette regarding discount / referral codes? I have a £50 for medexpress.

Could I please have the referral code for my reorder.

First week on 10mg and it’s knocked me for six. Suppression has felt ok but have been so tired and spaced out but I have lost 5lbs!

I never thought I’d say this, but I’m worried that’s too much at this stage, one year in. Prior to weighing in I was thinking of dropping to 7.5mg but had decided to give the 10mg another week to see how I survived a second week, but am now second guessing things again. Obviously I still have lots of weight to go, weighed in at exactly 17st this morning, but I don’t want to drop the weight too quickly in an unhealthy manner. Anyone else had this problem when moving up a dose?

I'd look at your average over 4-8 weeks rather than one week in isolation. Sudden drops can happen from time to time, is only worry if it's a consistent pattern.

FOR FUCKS SAKE!

I went up 2 clicks last night from 5 to 5.5mg, 2 clicks, and today I've got the sulphur burps. My body makes me so angry!! Why so bloody sensitive?

I've had to stay home and not go to my volunteer job today because of them.

FatsiaJaponicaInTheGarden · 13/04/2026 16:34

@TheZingyFish same thing happened to me when I tried to go up to 10. I even did 8 on the way.. But tried and the sulphur burps and tiredness were too much. I went back down to 8 then 8.33 and have stayed here for most of my MJ journey.

Missingducks · 13/04/2026 18:12

I also did an extra 15 clicks on my 7.5 to see if I was ready to move up but my tummy (and bum) tell me they will never forgive me.

TragicMuse · 13/04/2026 18:29

All sympathies to those of you with sensitivity and burps!

I lost quarter of a pound last week! 😬

Planning some more cycling this week so hoping that will contribute to good results!

52soon · 13/04/2026 18:42

I’ve been taking photo periodically throughout the year in same clothes, 1st is Last April 2nd is today. Still a lot to go but I can see some shape happening.

Meant to say I went from 5 to 5.25.

How can .25 make such a difference? I’ve been miserable all day. I HATE the burps. Pray for me they’re gone tomorrow.

@52soon looking good! What a great idea to take photos in the same clothes. You’ll have a brilliant run of photos to look at when you’re at goal.

52soon · 13/04/2026 19:20

@PearlsTeapot you must be so sensitive to it, I’ve been very lucky not had any side effects at all (apart from occasional bunged up) I do take omeprazole daily though was on this before MJ. I’ve been on 10mg since October.

Doggymummar · 13/04/2026 19:25

Wegovy is like injecting water. Generally I struggle to get 1000 cals down without eating sweets or ice-cream. Today I've had 4 bags of monster munch, 3 penguins , 2 chocolate eclairs three sausages in a sandwich with an apple, three slices of bread butter and ketchup. I've not added it up but that's probably 2000 calories. I will have to look at getting the next level up. This is gonna be a long month.

Putyourleftarmin · 13/04/2026 23:35

Thank you for the lovely warm welcome & encouragement everyone .

I am going to be taking my 15mg dose tomorrow, first one in a while as I've been working my way back up. I find taking them in the morning a bit easier as if I take it late afternoon/ evening it tends to mess with my digestion the rest of the day & overnight can feel really uncomfortable so that's the plan.

@TheZingyFishI had a sudden drops in mine and it ended up timing with my monthly cycle so things did average out but maybe keep a track and see if there is any pattern to it.

2.5mg MJ that little 0.6ml of liquid help saved my life

I never thought a single weekly injection could rewrite my entire story, but on January 20, 2026, I gave myself that first dose of Mounjaro and everything changed.

For years I had been slowly disappearing under the weight of my own body. At my heaviest I felt trapped: short of breath climbing a single flight of stairs, exhausted before the day even began, and terrified of the long list of health problems my doctor kept warning me about. My blood pressure was creeping higher, my joints ached constantly, and I was heading toward a diabetes diagnosis I knew was coming. I was only in my forties, but I felt decades older. Life had become something I watched from the sidelines rather than lived.

That January morning I was nervous. I’d read every study, every success story, and every warning label. Still, I pressed the pen to my stomach and clicked.

Within a day the constant, gnawing hunger that had ruled my life for as long as I can remember simply… quieted. It wasn’t that I stopped enjoying food; I just stopped obsessing over it. For the first time in years, I could eat a normal portion and feel satisfied instead of hunting for the next snack an hour later.

By the end of February (barely five weeks in) I had already dropped 18 pounds. My clothes felt looser. I could cross my legs again. Most importantly, I could walk my dog around the block without stopping to catch my breath. The scale kept moving, but it was the non-scale victories that stunned me. I slept through the night without waking up drenched in sweat. My energy levels rose so dramatically that I started cooking real meals instead of ordering takeout. I even joined a gentle yoga class: something I would have laughed at three months earlier.
Today, April 14, 2026, I stand here almost 51 pounds lighter.
Fifty-one pounds. In less than three months.
I look in the mirror and don’t recognize the person staring back: and that’s the best feeling in the world. My face is slimmer, my neck is visible again, and the constant inflammation that used to make my hands and feet swell is gone. My doctor is thrilled; my latest labs show improvements across the board. Blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure: all trending in the right direction. I no longer feel like I’m racing against my own body to stay alive.
Mounjaro didn’t just help me lose weight. It gave me my life back.
I have energy to play with my kids without getting winded. I can fit into airplane seats without asking for a seatbelt extender. I walk into stores and actually browse the “regular” sizes instead of heading straight to the plus section. Most of all, the quiet, crushing despair that came with every failed diet is gone. For the first time in decades I feel hopeful about my future instead of ashamed of my past.
Of course, it hasn’t been effortless. I still have to make intentional choices: protein first, plenty of water, daily movement, but the medication removed the biological sabotage that made every previous attempt feel impossible. It leveled the playing field so that my own efforts could finally work.
If you’re reading this and you’re where I was in January (scared, exhausted, and running out of hope) please know that change is possible. I’m not special. I’m just someone who finally found the tool that let my body work with me instead of against me.
I still have more weight to lose, and I still have days when old habits try to creep back in. But now I have momentum, confidence, and (most importantly) time. Time I genuinely worried I might not get.
Mounjaro didn’t just save my health. It saved my future. And every single morning when I wake up feeling lighter, stronger, and more alive, I whisper the same two words:

Thank you.

You should have been given the 2.4mg of Wegovy, though.

I really sympathise @PearlsTeapot , I’m exactly the same. My recent experiment of going from 4.25 to 4.5 ended up with several bouts of D&V and my gastritis pain back with a vengeance. It did really increase the weight loss though! I’ve gone back down again for now. Hope you feel better soon.

It's the day before weigh in/jab day for me. Normally my anxiety levels would be starting to rise by now. But this time I'm starting to feel excited. It's the power of the cream eggs. They're waiting on the table. If my weight is below 116 kg I can have one. I sooo want a cream egg.

Some people do use AI to help phrase stuff and make it clearer, going to give the benefit of the doubt here for now.

What dose are you on @Doggymummar?

1.7, oushk said it was the match for 15. Somewhere else said 7.2 or something but then would let me have it. I'm soooooo hungry

EducatingEater · 14/04/2026 15:09

Been a little naughty for Jab 2 and taken it a day early as I'm away until Friday to help family and didn't want to take it with me and face the questions.

Touch wood week 1 went well, no side effects other than a raging thirst ( it diabetic or near it as I had a blood test not long before starting) and I needed to up my drinks anyway so all good.

I'm 9lbs down which I realise will settle and is only because of water weight and my body getting used to the diet etc and having a lot to lose but I'm very happy to be down in the next stone bracket from the one I started in that I hadn't seen for at least 6m

SilenceInside · 14/04/2026 16:02

@EducatingEater it's very common to vary your injection day to avoid having to take the pen with you when you are away. I think many people do it to avoid having to take it abroad on holiday in the summer. The instructions also take into account that you can change your injection day, as long as it's been at least 3 days since the previous injection.

Getting into the next stone bracket down is great going, the first of many scale and non-scale victories!

PearlsTeapot · 14/04/2026 19:54

Losers I’ve had a terrible 24 hours. After the sulphur burps yesterday (still ongoing) I got hit with the worst diahroea all night long. I’ve been asleep all day feeling dreadful. Waaaaahhhhhh.
