hi, I thought I would start a new group. I am waiting for my medical review before being issued with my first dose

I’ve just taken my second wegovy injection. Haven’t had any suppression with the first so unsurprisingly I haven’t lost anything.
will see what this one does! Hopefully I will notice something and not get any side effects

I'm due to take my third dose (Mounjaro) tomorrow, I've lost 9.5lbs in just under 2 weeks. My provider Medexpress contacted me about my next order and asked me to do an online questionnaire. On the basis of my responses, they've recommended I stick with 2.5 for now. I am not sure what to do, tempted to stick as I struggled with side effects in week 1, but have been feeling much better in week 2. On the other hand, I know that titration is the usual method and maybe I'll end up plateauing on 2.5. I have about another 3 stone to lose. It feels too soon to be thinking about my next order, I am only 2 weeks in.
Anyone else with a similar dilemma?

Exactly the same with Bolt. I stuck 2.5 for now as it seems to be working - although didn’t like having to decide so soon either!

ShebaQueen · 12/03/2026 17:04

Thanks @Pigriver I am not sure how confident I feel about counting clicks, maybe if I'd jabbed more than twice it would be different.

Thanks @Greycatclub I might stick for now too, as you say, it's working and I am anxious about the side effects possibly returning when I increase

Wegome26 · 12/03/2026 18:02

@ShebaQueen thats a fantastic loss well done. I would stick if you are still having suppression? I know lots of people that actually get to goal on the 2.5 so I wouldn’t go up unnecessarily.

unless it’s a coincidence I think the second jab is doing something feel a bit sick/refluxy and not hungry for dinner yet!

ShebaQueen · 12/03/2026 18:15

Thanks @Wegome26 I'm definitely still getting suppression and it's not even wearing off on day 6 or 7. As I said, I felt terrible in week 1, so I guess it's having a big impact on me, even at 2.5. I'm glad to hear of others who have stuck, everyone I know has increased their dose monthly.

Whilst I'm sorry to hear you're feeling a bit nauseous, I've got everything crossed for you that it's starting to kick in for you now

helloworld88 · 12/03/2026 20:56

I’m on holiday at the moment and feel the suppression has lifted sooner this week than last. Home tomorrow to weigh and see if I’ve put on 😬

Beehivebabe · 12/03/2026 21:19

@ShebaQueen well done on your loss! I’ll be having to order my 2nd pen soon and I think I’ll stick to 2.5 this time, and next time potentially, as week 1 of that pen will be at the start of a holiday and although I’ve been ok on 2.5 who knows about 5. I’m also not confident about the clicks and getting that right if I go up. I’ll see how the next pen goes.

Annex · 13/03/2026 07:34

Hi, got my pen yesterday I can't decide the best time to take it - morning or evening?
I don't work Fridays so thought best to take it today but not sure whether to do it now or tonight?

MoneyJo · 13/03/2026 07:44

I have done mine in the evening because it looks like it takes a few hours so I figure I get a full day's worth the next day. Probably not much in it though.

Pigriver · 13/03/2026 07:50

After waiting 2 weeks since ordering my pen will finally arrive today. I am keen to get on with it but it's my husbands birthday on Thursday and we have fancy meal booked 🙈 I'll start next Friday.

ShebaQueen · 13/03/2026 07:57

Thanks @Beehivebabe I am going to stick with 2.5 for now and will order today.
@Annex I jab late evening on a Friday. My original plan was to do it then because weekends are usually when I massively overeat, so I was aiming for maximum suppression on Saturday and Sunday. The other advantage is that you can sleep through the initial side effects, even though they lasted a week in my case!
Enjoy your fancy meal @Pigriver!

Whenever fits best into your routine will be the best time to take it. I went for the evening because Im always rushing around in the mornings and if I got any immediate side effects I wanted to sleep through them, but I don't think it really matters.

Axa264 · 14/03/2026 08:52

Just taken my second dose, suppression was definitely wearing off before then but pleased with my first week. I haven’t weighed myself yet as don’t want to get obsessed with numbers so planning to weigh myself every 3 weeks.

MoneyJo · 14/03/2026 09:07

I hadn't clicked until I saw it on the shotly app that of course you haven't run out of dose by the time you take your second jab, so you start your second week with a higher amount in your system than the first week.

I was amazed yesterday at the lack of food noise. Had some dhal for lunch, some curry for dinner with a bit of rice and that's all. The amazing thing is that we were at a party last night where there were so many lovely snacks and nice alcohol. I just wasn't interested. Like I glanced at the table a few times and just didn't really feel anything. Previously I'd have filled my plate and gone back for more throughout the evening.

Asgoodas · 14/03/2026 11:36

Morning all. It’s great to see all the lbs dropping away from everyone. 🎉
I’ve just had my third injection this morning- all too welcome as Thursday and Friday were hard work with little appetite repression.
Loss was lower this week but still good. I seriously needed the motivation. I swear the exercise has made the difference. I take my dog on a short, but hilly, walk. I can’t breathe for a fair bit of the walk but also feel quite exhilarated as I usually avoid any gradient increase 😂
I should have lost a stone by the next weigh in - only 2lb to go.
only my husband and son know I’m taking the injection- everybody appears to have an opinion on them and I really don’t care to hear them. Nobody has noticed any difference yet, as expected, but need ideas of how to deflect when they do.
Have a great week everyone - it’s amazing to feel hope again ☺️

ShebaQueen · 14/03/2026 12:59

That's an incredible weight loss @Asgoodas! I did my 3rd jab last night, I didn't notice any reduction in suppression Thursday/Friday so feeling lucky.
I agree with you about exercise, I do think it makes a difference. I have been speed walking every day, and am completely out of breath by the time I get home, I leave my trainers and clothes out the night before, and have to force myself out of the door, but once I'm out and after it's done, I feel great.
Hopefully others will have some ideas of what to say when people start to notice your weight loss. I have been open about the jabs, many of my friends and work colleagues are using them too

Asgoodas · 14/03/2026 16:45

Thank you so much @ShebaQueen😊 I have been so good and regimented. It has been harder to decline alcohol 🤣

Greycatclub · 15/03/2026 06:25

went out for a bottomless brunch yesterday. Was a little anxious but was fine, had two falafel with some hummous then a chicken shish with rice (don’t finish all of either dishes but it wasn’t really noticeable, I didn’t want questions in that environment!). Had a few drinks & keep to my calorie target.

ETPhoneHome19 · 15/03/2026 07:04

First weigh in for me today

SW 98.5kg
CW 95.3kg

Didn’t expect such a big loss but then I have stuck to my calories and not been overeating. Did a lot more steps than usual too.

Are you using an app to count your calories?

Well done on your loss.

Yes I’m using Team RH to track.

Wegome26 · 15/03/2026 11:06

Day 4 of second injection and unfortunately not feeling supression! I wish I had gone for mounjaro now. I will use this pen and then if no improvement I think I will switch. I had massive reduction in food noise and supression on mj and now I wish i had persevered through the initial side effect and carried on.
well done everyone on your losses so far you are doing brilliantly:-)

Asgoodas · 15/03/2026 16:34

@ETPhoneHome, well done! Excellent for your motivation 🎉

fantom · 15/03/2026 17:50

I ended up losing a pound last week after first shot. The suppression seemed to wear off towards the end of the week.
Unfortunately I wasted a shot when setting up my second job but can bring the next order forward.

MoneyJo · 16/03/2026 07:52

What is everyone thinking about the next month?

I have only had two jabs so far but this weekend the lack of food noise has been amazing. I am thinking I might do a second month of 2.5. I don't know if the effects are less if you stay longer on a low jab though. I guess I need to see closer to the time.
