It's so up and down isn't it @taratill ? After a few days with much less suppression I've really been back on track since Sunday morning - so I'll hold off going up. Will probably order 7.5 anyway though just in case, and try to stick to 5 on it.

I have become so aware of how much food is constantly around us. We had a staff meeting all morning yesterday and I was amazed at how much other people snacked all the way through. That would have been me a few months ago but now I naturally do 16:8 because I really don't want to eat anything until lunchtime.

taratill · 17/06/2026 14:41

It's strange. I think there must be times when it spikes in the system. I think if you are unsure @MoneyJo order the 7.5 that way you can be flexible.

I dread to think how many calories I used to consume. No wonder I gained so much.

I've found a nice low calorie high protein food -

2 chipolatas 68 calories and 11g protein. I've just had 2 with salad for lunch!

HECK Chicken Italia Sausages | Tasty Chicken Chipolatas From The UK's Favourite Sausage Maker

HECK Chicken Italia Chipolatas are juicy chicken sausages with basil, tomatoes & mozzarella. These sausages are a godsend as they are packed with flavour, low in fat, high in protein and also gluten free!

MoneyJo · 17/06/2026 14:52

Do you use the shotsy app @taratill ? I find it really interesting because it shows when the spikes are and it definitely fits in with when I had more suppression.

I love those heck sausages!

taratill · 17/06/2026 14:58

No i've never heard of Shotsy. How does it work?

On the sausages pack it tells me 'recommended by Mumsnet' , lol, I only bought them as they were on a flash sale at my online supermarket.

Beehivebabe · 17/06/2026 14:59

@taratill hope your FIL is stable after his op and thanks for the suggestion, I’ve seen those chicken sausages and wondered if they were nice.

@MoneyJo. I think that about my husband haha. I always snacked too to be fair! I also try not to eat till lunchtime most days.

The 5 seems to be suiting me atm, even the constipation has relieved a bit so I’m sticking with it if I can. Start my next pen on Sunday.

Hope everyone else is doing ok 🥰

taratill · 17/06/2026 15:51

@Beehivebabe , thanks for asking FIL is not doing too well, he has had to have another operation today. DH is just going to see him now.

He is in his late 80s so recovery will be slow i think.

Beehivebabe · 17/06/2026 16:57

@taratill. Ah that’s tough especially given his age. Hope he is comfortable after today’s op x

I really like it. I record when and where I jab and my weight and it shows me how much MJ is active in my system. Also how long til my next jab.

Same @Beehivebabe I was a constant snacker! It's such a change.

I had a lovely NSV today. I was at a meeting where my boss was present this morning. This afternoon we had a teams call to discuss something. At the start of the call she said I hope you don't mind me saying this but you looked gorgeous today, really healthy and you've clearly lost weight!

Funnily enough I didn't mind at all that she said it 😀

thanks, I've just spoken to DH, he's still sedated. Has been since the first op on Sunday. I think they are going to try to bring him round tomorrow. DH is actually more worried about his mother currently as she's not eating and is still exhausted from the all- nighter she did with him in A&E and the weekend.

Such a shame as they were both so fiercely independent. Don't know when I'll get DH back as they live a long way away.

DS and girlfriend coming home for the night tomorrow though so I'll have some company , DD who is 17 might as well live in a parallel universe. I only seem to see her when she needs feeding or a lift.

taratill · 17/06/2026 19:49

Oh wow, do you have to use that from the start or can you start part way through? Is it a free app?

taratill · 17/06/2026 19:57

@MoneyJo Brilliant. I bet that made you feel amazing!

I saw a lady today who I literally didn't recognise because she'd lost so much weight and her face looked completely different. It was a bit embarrassing because I must have seemed really ignorant. She must have lost at least 10 stone since I last saw her. I would imagine she's used WLI but I didn't want to ask.

Sorry this is @MoneyJo

Beehivebabe · 17/06/2026 21:33

@taratill glad you will have some company tomorrow. I hope FIL comes round ok, must be a worrying time.

@MoneyJo how very lovely. Am waiting for my moment haha.

MoneyJo · 17/06/2026 22:04

@taratill there's a free version but in the end I paid for extras. Can't remember why 🤣
@Beehivebabe your moment will come!

I’m still plodding along, losing very slowly here. 0.5lb off this week. I will be in the next stone bracket if I lose any more weight and I will be a healthy BMI if I lose 2lb more. I have 2 doses left. I’m so torn about buying another pen or not. I can’t really afford another pen but then I’m scared of putting the weight back on and feeling like I’ve wasted the money I’ve spent so far.

Dontlletmedownbruce · 18/06/2026 17:25

I'm so confused right now. I missed a week's weigh in so last week i was hoping for a 2 weeks loss. Around 1 or 1.5lbs. I was down 4! Absolutely delighted with myself. Back for a weigh in today, I was hoping for a little more loss but would have been happy the same given how dramatic the previous week was. I'm up all 4lbs again! Wtf is going on. Worst part is that now means I've lost zero in 3 weeks. Yet I feel I've lost it. I can really see it now and have gone down a trousers size.

How much have you lost? Did you just start in March? I plan on taking as long as I can on maintenance once I hit goal because I really don't want to gain. I'm quite a few months off that yet though!

taratill · 18/06/2026 18:29

So NSV, son noticed and said I look amazing!

It's made my day!

Beehivebabe · 18/06/2026 18:45

@taratill that’s lovely!

@Dontlletmedownbruce I sometimes go up and down for no reason it seems but trust the process and remember how much you have lost overall. Perhaps keep a record of what you are eating/doing so you might see a pattern? I don’t know if you do that already.

If I ever get to that point, I expect I will reduce down to the lowest dose and start to increase time between jabs. I can’t imagine not needing them at all but that’s just me.

Beehivebabe · 18/06/2026 18:51

Another 2lbs off so that’s 44 lbs off. I’m beyond chuffed. Really need to start serious exercising now tho as my arms are feeling a bit bingo-y lol

Dontlletmedownbruce · 18/06/2026 22:01

@Beehivebabe44 lbs! That's unreal. How much is your total goal?

Thank you! I started at 19st 13lb and today 16st 11lb. I have a long road ahead but this time I feel positive I can get down. Where that will be I don’t know yet, but I’m taking it one stone at a time.

Am I right in thinking you started the same date as me - 5 March? You've done brilliantly. I started just over a stone lower than you and am now at the same weight.
