Had my third jab Sunday, Tuesday and yesterday evening had some stomach cramps like in week 1. Suppression isn’t want strong as week 1 though. Also my period turned up late when it’s normally clockwork! Lost 9lb over 2.5 weeks so far though so pleased! Will also be reordering another 2.5 for the next month and then decide if I want to go up or not

Behealthy2026 · 19/03/2026 06:09

3lbs down this week. So over 2 weeks 13lbs so happy with result.

I am bouts of being super tired but I'm not sure if it's general life as I'm balancing a lot.

also doing mainly keto way of eating. Also considering IF which is easy at work as I'm not hungry in the mornings. Much more difficult when im WFH

Some great early results. Well done! ⭐️ I haven’t taken my first dose yet. It’s been in the fridge for over a week. I’m struggling to get my head in the right place to go for it. Mostly I think because I know that once I start I have to stop eating all the things I enjoy! But I got on the scales this morning and I don’t like the numbers I am seeing. I also had a big clear out and bought new stuff last Autumn when I had lost some weight but things don’t look/fit as well anymore. So I’m posting to help me get myself back on it.
Have a good day everyone. ☀️

MoneyJo · 19/03/2026 07:36

@Thejukeboxgal don't be put off by thinking you have to stop eating all the things you enjoy. You just won't want to eat so much of it. I still have things I enjoy but a little taste, which actually I'm enjoying more than when I would gobble things up without always tasting them!

LoudBiscuit · 19/03/2026 07:40

Feeling very fed up - week two weigh in and I’ve GAINED weight. 2 pounds!! I don’t understand it. I’ve been eating smaller meals, healthier, no snacking, increasing exercise (recovering from hip surgery but walking g more now). I also had horrendous diarrhoea on Sunday, a good old clear out. Only treat has been a couple of glasses of wine with friends. Not sure where I’ve gone wrong.

I haven’t been calorie counting or anything but think I’ll need to start now. 2lb loss in two weeks at this price is not worth it!

Pigriver · 19/03/2026 07:56

For those worrying about the extra dose. Don't!

If you are worried about twisting and forcing the pen the easiest way to do it is using a syringe. Buy 1ml sygringes, , swap the rubber end of the pen, poke the syringe in the rubber end and extract 0.6ml, jab it in and you are done. This is also a super easy way if taking a half dose if you buy the 5mg pen. Instead of extracting 0.6ml you do 0.3ml.

As long as you remember never to jab yourself with the same needle twice. This is very dangerous even with the pen needles. If it doesn't go in properly for whatever reason you must use a new needle.

In other news, I'm doing my first jab tonight after my husband's fancy birthday lunch today.

So, I finally after having my pen sitting in the fridge for 2 weeks, I just did the 1st jab. I've been so nervous about doing it. My main worries are side effects. I'm currently sitting here waiting for something to happen lol. @ShebaQueen you mentioned bad side effects in week one. What were they exactly? And how soon did you start feeling better?

Hi @ThatMerryFox that first jab is so stressful isn't it?!
I jabbed on a Friday night and the side effects started the next morning. I had a splitting headache for the first 3 days that no painkiller seemed to shift, plus I felt really nauseous, although I was never actually sick, I also had chronic heartburn, but Gaviscon saved me on that front. I felt so awful that I was seriously considering not continuing, but I had a good weight loss in that week so it spurred me on, plus if I'm being really honest, I didn't want to waste the money I'd spent.
The headaches were gone by day 4, the nausea and heartburn lasted a week, then magically disappeared on day 1 of jab 2 and I have felt fine since.
I do seem to be in the minority though, most people seem fine and hopefully you'll be the same, but even if you have some side effects they might not last long, and losing weight has made me feel it's worth it.

Eat as "clean" as you can and keep glugging water. I have everything crossed for you!

I felt ok this morning thankfully. I did think for a minute that my stomach felt weird, but I'm not sure whether or not that was just my mind playing tricks on me. The feeling disappeared after I ate something.

One thing though that I'm not sure is a symptom or not, is that my upper back and shoulder is really aching. I had planned on going out today, but I'm sat with a hot water bottle on it while googling ' Does Mounjaro cause back pain?' 😂😂 I'm hoping that maybe I just slept on it funny. I'm glad the side effects for you went away quickly. Anyway, so far so good 🤞

rockstarshoes · 19/03/2026 11:57

So I did my first MJ jab yesterday am, made myself some overnight oats yesterday with strawberries, chai seeds and almond milk! Added some Greek yogurt some nuts and a few blueberries this morning.
I held off until 11.00 and it took me half an hour to eat it!

I feel abit bloated but that’s my only side effect so far - apart from feeling slightly nauseous after I finished Pilates last night! And obviously not feeling hungry.
I would ideally like to lose 3 stone but could live with 2, 2.5!
Good luck to those just ordering or looking at the pen in the fridge! It’s very early days but so far so good!

It's always possible that the headache was a coincidence, especially if it didn't happen with the second jab.

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 19/03/2026 17:19

Jab 3 last night. Lost 1.2kg last week. I lost 3 kg in the week or so waiting for approval/delivery, so that was probably the easy water weight. Total loss of 3.5kg since my first dose. Would love more, but I suppose I should be glad it’s slow and steady - it’s a long haul project. Apart from a headache the day after first dose, no negative side effects so far. But BP sys has gone from 142 (high) to 118 (normal) and I’m also feeling really happy which is unlike me! I’m enjoying exercising and I’m turning down snacks -it’s like a muppet Christmas miracle.

MethodToMyMadness123 · 19/03/2026 21:36

I seem to be losing my taste senses as food is incredibly bland. Anybody else finding this or is it just me and my weird body? No other real side effects thank goodness but I am struggling to eat anything much as it all tastes like water.

Reepicheepp · 19/03/2026 22:15

Week 1 done and it's been going well, I've been calorie counting though which has worked as DH has been away this week. I've spent a lot of time over the last year break our rhythm of me being the default cook in the house and now he cooks 2-3 nights a week but he does not know how to calorie count and has never been on a diet in his life. How can I stick with my diet but also not be the only one to cook?

MoneyJo · 19/03/2026 23:28

Third jab done tonight. According to the shotsy app I now have about 4 mgs in my body because of the half life. I'll be interested to see how I feel in the morning.

Still unsure as to whether I should do a second month on 2.5 or jump to 5.

Beehivebabe · 20/03/2026 07:24

@MethodToMyMadness123 me too. I sat down to my Mother’s Day roast and thought I’ve lost my enthusiasm for food, it all tastes a bit bland as you say. Also it’s very weird feeling full up quickly, I normally have a big appetite and a dessert belly which frankly has got me to the position I’m in haha.

ShebaQueen · 20/03/2026 07:39

Weigh day for me and due to take my 4th jab tonight. I've bought some new scales and am working in kilos now, have lost 5kg in 3 weeks which I am really happy with. @SmallTreeDeepRoots Muppet Christmas Miracle made me laugh and you are right! I am going to check my blood pressure today, hadn't thought of checking that.
Still have to force myself to exercise, but am doing it 5 days a week and having weekends off.
I have another 2.5 pen in the fridge waiting, I'm still getting good suppression, so will see how it goes.

MoneyJo · 20/03/2026 07:50

Just weighed. Half a stone down in the two weeks I've been on the jabs. I think I will stick to 2.5 for another month.

fantom · 20/03/2026 08:30

Morning all. Can anyone recommend a good food tracker app? I’ve been using My Fitness Pal but wondering if there’s anything better.
I’ve lost 4lbs in under 2 weeks but it’s not exactly effortless. On 0.25.

CatLady93 · 20/03/2026 08:39

Hi everyone, I started beginning of this week! Anyone that’s already completed their first week, did you lose any weight that first week? I weighed myself this morning (day 5) and there’s been no movement at all. But I’ve felt the impact of the MJ for sure and have stuck to a calorie deficit with lots of protein/water. I’ve been feeling a bit bloated generally so I wonder if it’s water retention? Just so weird not seeing any movement!

MoneyJo · 20/03/2026 08:46

@fantom someone on one of these threads recommended MyNetDiary so I'm using that. There's a paid for version but so far I'm finding the free version does all I need.
I'm also using Shotsy as recommended on here. It even tells me where to jab!

taratill · 20/03/2026 11:23

I've just had my email to reorder. I seem to have lost about 1/2 stone in 2 weeks. I felt more suppression in the first week definitely. This week I haven't really noticed it but I haven't been feeling especially hungry either. Just haven't had the feeling that I couldn't eat if I wanted to that I had at times in the first week, if you see what I mean.

I don't know whether to go up to 5 or not. The scales are showing 1/2 stone loss and I'm measuring an inch less around the waste so I guess it is working. Also I have a girls holiday in 4 weeks so I think it will be better to stay the same until after that so that I know I'm not getting side effects.

I also wonder about getting the 5 and then doing half the clicks because the price difference isn't much and then I can raise if I'm not feeling any affect?

Decisions decisions.

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 20/03/2026 13:48

I lost 2.7kg between ordering and first jab (probably water). Then 3.5kg in the first two weeks on the jab. So pretty much a stone since 27/2. While I am so greedy for more, I’m in a long haul journey so decided to stick with 2.5 for my second pen. If I have to work a bit harder that’s fine. If all I do is maintain, it’s still a stone loss which is a stone more than I’ve lost for some considerable time! But non-sensible me is spitting nails over the decision.

Wegome26 · 20/03/2026 21:24

Hey guys well done on your losses. I took my third dose yesterday. I have been managing to eat less but I’ve decided to try mounjaro next month. I have ordered today with IQ dr (cheapest on monj) just waiting for approval which I imagine will be Monday.
i have managed to lose some weight finally about 2kg. So I’m happy about that.

Usernameismyname01 · 20/03/2026 21:39

If changing suppliers of MJ do you say that this is the first time of taking or not.
also looking for the best discount codes to try and get it cheaper

Wegome26 · 20/03/2026 21:55

@Usernameismyname01 use https://monj.co.uk/discount-mounjaro-price-list/ a dedicated website showing all the current offers on mounjaro. You don’t have to say it’s the first time using to get the discount it’s a new customer offer usually so you can use different providers
