hi, I thought I would start a new group. I am waiting for my medical review before being issued with my first dose

It’s good that there is plenty of successful news on here 😁
I’ve had my 3 weeks weigh in this morning, and lost 1:5 lb. That’s now half a pond off a full stone! I know I should be pleased but feel rather flat. The suppression has been minimal this week and I’ve had to work very hard to be ‘good.’ It has nearly killed me 😊 It is making me wonder how sustainable this will be when the injections stop.
I am pleased with the loss however, and will keep moving forward. I’m waiting for the clinicians to decide if my dose will increase for my next pen. I recognise I will have to make more of an effort to exercise, but it is difficult with my job and I’m usually exhausted when I get home. I’m also very hungry after I have exercised 😂
now to take my fourth jab and hope the suppression issue was just a last week blip and will be better.
maybe it’s simply psychological after the highs of starting the programme and losing so much, so quickly, that I am now (unjustifiably) disappointed with only 1.5 lbs. I’m off to give my head a wobble and walk the dog 😊
good luck to everyone in the next week 🎉

Usernameismyname01 · 21/03/2026 12:10

I’ve lost 3lb this wk and 4 last week and was expecting before starting that that I was going to loose loads of weight each week but my thinking now is - great, I’ve lost half a stone in just 2 weeks what more do I want!!!! - for the last couple of years I’ve not managed to shift anywhere near that in 2wks.

so I’ve got think of the positive and it’s doing its job and I’m not starving myself and I’m still losing weight

fantom · 21/03/2026 20:58

Thats a great loss @Usernameismyname01 !
I’ve lost about 3-4 in two weeks.
Appetite was strong this evening. Will be pulling the dose next week.

Greycatclub · 22/03/2026 06:28

Urgh! Yesterday was the hungriest day I’ve had, definitely ate more than all of the other days to date (jab 4 was last weds). Going to try a new injection site this week, not sure scientifically why this would help but have heard many people say it does!

5.6kg loss to date.

ShebaQueen · 22/03/2026 07:55

That's a great loss @Greycatclub! I have been wondering about injection sites too, more due to side effects - after feeling terrible in week one (first jab in arm), I felt fine in weeks 2 and 3 (jabs in each side of stomach), am now into week 4 and feel rotten again (jab in thigh). I am pretty sure it's a coincidence and more to do with the build up in my body, but I've heard that lots of people think that injection site makes a difference. Where have you been injecting?

Greycatclub · 22/03/2026 08:02

@ShebaQueen thank you!

Ive been doing stomach - but alternating sides. Injecting still makes me feel a little squeamish and the thought of doing it somewhere else somehow is worse! But I’ll suck it up and try I think

I haven’t had too much by way of side effects, heartburn is pretty regular though. I was absolutely wiped out after jab day last week but also didn’t have a great.

Greycatclub · 22/03/2026 08:04

Interestingly my Oura ring is tracking up to 7 hours of stress a day atm. Assume that’s due to the jab too.

Axa264 · 22/03/2026 08:14

3rd jab today, feeling ok but was definitely more hungry yesterday not sure if to go up a dose or not, going to see how I’m doing on the scales but definitely want to lose slowly but I’m not really feeling full just not very hungry…

fantom · 22/03/2026 09:05

my Oura ring is also showing massively increased stress, plus RHR and HRV @Greycatclub

Injection sites: fist ever jab in stomach I had terrible fatigue. Second and third in thigh and it disappeared.

That’s interesting because my stress levels have dropped and my resting heart rate has dropped too.
I am prediabetic though and thinking the MJ was helping my body deal with that!

illsendansostotheworld · 22/03/2026 10:19

Can l join please? 1st jab yesterday and mot sure if l feel any different or not!

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 22/03/2026 11:23

I’ve only jabbed in my tummy, alternating sides. Arms imposssible alone and thighs, while full of lard, aren’t “pinch able”.

I don’t have any fancy gadgets to measure stress, but BP is normal for the first time in over 20 years. Am tempted by an Apple Watch, but interested in hearing about the ring thingy!

Welcome @illsendansostotheworld !

Beehivebabe · 22/03/2026 12:36

Ive jabbed alternatively in my arms, got my husband to do it. Not sure about my stomach - I was thinking there’s so much fat there the jab wouldn’t work lol

Oh I love my Oura ring! They are fairly pricey but I look at the stats every day (for 2 years now) and have learnt loads about my body

MoneyJo · 22/03/2026 14:16

Has anyone had the runs on MJ? I haven't had any issues but we just had Moroccan lamb stew for lunch and I've been sitting on the loo with the runs since. I'm wondering if somehow what I ate has caused a bad reaction with the MJ?

I did my first jab last Wednesday in my thigh because I read somewhere that this site had less incidences of nausea. Well, that was a lie lol. I've felt rotten all week. I also thought I was going to have a panic attack on Thursday night in bed. My anxiety was through the roof. I had the shakes and couldn't relax. I've had no appetite and have been forcing myself to eat. I felt really sh**ty last night. We had people over for dinner and I over ate to be sociable, if you can call two small pieces of chicken and a small bit of rice and veg overeating. I was sick to my stomach by bedtime.

I feel so nauseous this afternoon. I'm contemplating whether or not to do the 2nd jab. I'm going to weigh on Wednesday morning and I'll see how I feel then. It's not fun at all and I'm really thinking is this worth it?

ShebaQueen · 22/03/2026 16:20

Ah you poor thing @ThatMerryFox! I remember you saying that you were worried about side effects. My first week was similar to yours, although I didn't experience any anxiety. I was also having second thoughts about jab 2, but went ahead because of the weight loss I'd had in week 1. Luckily I felt much better in week 2.
It's so difficult isn't it, because it's not possible to "flush it out" or undo having jabbed - that's what I really wanted to do at the start. Hope you start to feel better soon

Thank you! I hope so too. I found that eating something earlier made me feel a little better, but it returned later in the evening. I have my water by the bed and have just had a couple of antacids. I'm hoping for a better day tomorrow 🙏

Pinkroom · 22/03/2026 23:05

Can I join 😃 just took my first jab about 30 mins ago as I had read it was good to take at bedtime for some people and now I'm super anxious and worried about side effects and can't sleep so have come to read positive stories!

SmallTreeDeepRoots · 23/03/2026 07:22

Hello @Pinkroom ! How are you feeling this morning? There’s a real variety of effects - hopefully you will sail through it!

Hope you feeling better @ThatMerryFox .

HolyMoly24 · 23/03/2026 08:40

Jab number 4 today and exactly 1 stone lost.

Obviousy a stone in 3 weeks is fab but does anyone else feel so impatient whenever you are losing weight? It’s like I just cannot wait until I’m 4 stone down. That’s why I’ve always fallen off the wagon with weight loss previously, I get disheartened by the amount of time it’s going to take.

hope everyone is feeling good today and that any bad side effects are subsiding x

Mumintraining85 · 23/03/2026 08:58

Morning. I started on mounjaro 4 weeks ago and tolerated the 2.5ml really well. Lost about 6lbs. Moved up to 5ml but was nervous to increase the full dose so administered about 3.5ml. I have been so so so unwell since- and as somebody with health anxiety I am really struggling with it.

I have have had severe diarrhoea for over a week and it seems to be getting worse. I last injected a week ago (last Monday) and the diarrhoea seems to be getting worse not better. I cannot go to work the way it is today.

I did message my prescriber who said I need to go back down to 2.5. I should be injecting again today as it’s been a week but with my stomach like this I’m wondering if I should wait until the diarrhoea has subsided and then restart on 2.5. Although I’ve read it stays in your system for 5 weeks.

I have messaged the prescriber again for advice, but was interested in others experience.

But that's a huge loss! I'm only down 3-4lbs.
Are you restricting much?

HolyMoly24 · 23/03/2026 14:46

@fantom it is a huge loss, I’m just ridiculously impatient and want 7 years of weight gain gone in a month.

I lost 7lbs in the first week though because I lost loads of water weight. And it was definitely water because my face was really puffy at the start of that week and looked way better by the end.

I have had a lot of suppression particularly in the first half of the week. I aim to eat 1300 cals but some days I get to about 700 and I just can’t face eating anything else, as long as I’ve had enough protein that day I don’t force it. The second half of the week then I definitely meet the 1300 sometimes up to 1500 on the odd day.

As long as you are losing it’s working and that’s a healthy loss. Are you on 2.5mg or 5mg?

Hi! Actually feeling great thankfully, tired but I am putting that down to not being able to sleep initially because I was reading up on side effects haha. Honestly I can only describe this feeling as like witchcraft.. It was about 1pm and id completely forgotten to eat because there is no hungry feeling. This is insane to me, I constantly and I mean constantly binge on snacks all day long. This is so strange!!
Nice to read everyone's positive stories:)
