My shape has changed loads recently. I seem to have cheekbones and collarbones all of a sudden, and my waist has appeared from nowhere in the last few weeks, it's mad.

@Springflowers2 Talking of BMI, I've realised I must be a total short arse, because my BMI seems so much higher than everyone else for my weight. I'm 5' 3", 15st 7, and my BMI is 38.5. A BMI of 25 for me would be 10st 1. I can't ever imagine I will be there, but who knows...

Springflowers2 · 20/03/2026 13:46

I'm 5 foot 10 so very tall ...been buying size large 16/18 from ASOS ..which I'm quite proud of .
But yeah BMI is a bit odd
I've not actually worked out what BMI 25 is for me ..
I can't see me getting below 14 stone ..so maybe it's not realistic, and I'm certainly dreaming if I think I will ever get to 9 stone .

I think at 5ft 10 you'd be underweight at 9 stone!

I picked 60kg which is 9 stone, 6 lb (approx) as a target and that would make me 21.3 BMI at 5ft 6

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 20/03/2026 15:18

@Billybingbong we're the same height.
I'm 10st 8lb now and that STILL makes me allegedly overweight, but it's nonsense.
According to the BMI chart I would still be healthy if I lost another 3st.

But I'm already a size 10 in jeans and my tops are all size 8 or XS.

So probably I should just about stop now. It's been 2 years and 3 months.

I think I'd like a bit of a buffer zone, in case of gaining weight again.

I'm going to be very careful, and continue to eat well and weigh myself frequently.

It's time I started titrating down.

BTW everyone, I've just received a 15mg pen from MMP which was the old style, with the bonus dose.

It was £266 which was the cheapest I could find.

OP posts:
flipent · 20/03/2026 15:20

The message I had from Asda Pharmacy was that they were starting with the low doses and then working through the higher doses.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 20/03/2026 15:23

I got three 5mg pens from Swift Doctor last week that all have the fifth dose

Doggymummar · 20/03/2026 15:42

Springflowers2 · 20/03/2026 11:07

Are you staying on it , despite not loosing
I still am
I'm upping the exercise to see if that makes a difference

Yeah three years next week

Doggymummar · 20/03/2026 15:51

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 20/03/2026 12:06

I haven't lost much for eight weeks, but my shape is still changing.
It's weird.

I'm 10st 8lb now and very happy with how I look. But I have this notion in my head that I want to get down to 9st 12lb.

I just want the scales to start with a 9! Am I mad

It is weird my waist has got smaller and my thighs too but still not lost weight. I'm size 8 top and easy 10 sometimes 8 bottom. I just checked my weight in stones and it's 11-5 I started at 254lb on 23 march 2023. My goal is 144 tobe24 BMI and then assess I think I'm 5 foot 4

TheZingyFish · 20/03/2026 17:24

@Billybingbong I am so proud of you and am in awe as we started at about the same time. I’m a few pounds behind you and started a couple of stone heavier but always look to you for inspiration! Well done again, this journey is amazing, and you’re rocking it to end nth degree!

PearlsTeapot · 20/03/2026 17:45

I’m only 5 foot 1, so my BMI is 40.5 at 15 and a half stone.

52soon · 20/03/2026 17:56

I’m a shorty too 5’1 and BMI at start was 47.8 4 stone loss now at 14st1lb and still bmi 37.2! My healthy bmi range is 7st1lb -9st1lb which I can never see me getting to in a million years!

PearlsTeapot · 20/03/2026 18:20

Me neither, @52soon there would be nothing left of me!

Impossible for me anyway with my lipoedema so no point aiming for bmi.

Billybingbong · 20/03/2026 18:52

My BMI started at 56, it's now 38, and my provisional goal will see me at 28, so still overweight, it's bonkers. But actually, as we know, my practice nurse told me the BMI chart is a load of rubbish, so.... 🙄

@TheZingyFish aw thats so lovely, thank you so much. Right back at you, you gorgeous lady. You are doing fab too, it truly is life changing isn't it. There are so many inspiring people on here, it a wonderful place to be ❤️

52soon · 20/03/2026 18:55

@PearlsTeapot when my diabetes nurse first put me on Mounjaro in April I said I’d be quite happy being a size 14-16 I’m currently a 16 in tops and 18 in bottoms so I’m on my way and am liking how clothes are now looking on me even though I have to lose another 5 stone to get to 25 BMI. The lowest weight I can remember being as an adult is 13st 5lbs when I got married 33 years ago and my wedding dress was still a size 20.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 20/03/2026 18:55

I started the scary ‘maintenance’ this week, it’s quite daunting not chasing a loss on the scales, (I lost 0.4 of a lb though) and eating a little more. I’ve stopped jabbing every 8mg every 5 days and have gone back to 10mg every 7, going to do this for a month then either reduce by 1mg or extend by a day and then reassess. I started titrating down before hitting my goal weight of 9 st 8lbs.
I took measurements today, haven’t done that for a while.
My bust has gone from 56 inches to 37 inches
My waist has gone from 49 inches to 28 inches
My hips have gone from 58 inches to 38 inches
Ive also lost 2 inches off of each calf and 10 inches off of each thigh!

@Billybingbong I thought exactly the same as you re hitting the elusive 25 on the bmi chart but it happened! I’m 5.3 and a half (that half is very important 😂)

Kinda wish I had done measurements a year ago now but that was deep in the shame phase and would have been even more 'real' than the kgs (which I used because the stones were too noisy). I think I will take measurements on my Jabiversary (16 April).

By the way do those of us with larger legs all know about Jileon wellies? I have been using them for about 6 years now and love them. Wellies to fit 57cm calves and shorter wellies which are for everyone. Expensive but pretty and comfortable.

Weigh day and I'm finally "officially" under 100kg 🥳 I'd been fluctuating around 99/100 all week but had a well timed whoosh yesterday and today (seems to be a pattern for me to gain during the week then lose it by the weekend) which has put me firmly under that barrier.

Morning everyone.

sw: 315lb
cw 214 lb

15 mg dose and start date jan 25.

put half a pound on this week so a bit miffed with myself, but still on the journey… I have probably only had 4 weeks where I have gained weight so I shouldn’t moan but ………

may target is 199 by the summer holidays. Just shy of 1lb a week. Let’s do this !

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 21/03/2026 08:31

Congrats @RenegadeKeeblerElf , under 100kg is such a milestone!

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 21/03/2026 09:30

Official weigh in day again! I do weigh myself daily as I want to see the fluctuations during the week but Saturday is the official day.

SW 19st 3lbs BMI 44.3
CW 13st BMI 30.4
GW1 15st (03/01/26)
GW2 13st (21/03/26)
GW3 12st 8lbs
GW4 11st 11lbs

6st down! The greatest NSV this week was the results from my blood tests. HbA1c has gone down from 42 to 35 and all liver results are now on green. I was diagnosed with a fatty liver last year but unfortunately NHS doesn’t provide a new scan as I don’t have any symptoms (I didn’t have any symptoms to start with) and the bloods were good so diagnosis is still “fatty liver”.

But feeling really good now. I’m running 3 times a week as part of C25k course and walking in between. I have decided to try Pilates after I have mastered the 5km challenge but one thing at the time.

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 21/03/2026 10:10

After my scale victory this morning, a NSV - I took over a minute off my parkrun time 🥳 Last time was 3 weeks ago as I had other commitments, that one was 45:00, today I was aiming for 44 mins, actually did it in 43:36! I actually let out a yell as I crossed the line as I was so pleased! I was struggling a bit at around 3k and thought I'd gone out too fast, was tempted to stop at the end of that lap (it's a 4 lap course) but pushed through and I'm so glad I did 🥰

MCR24 · 21/03/2026 10:18

I wish I'd taken measurements, that's a bit of a regret but I couldn't face it. I'm mostly curious about my legs but nevermind!

Ive taken measurements and photos every month since the start, and its the one thing I would recommend to anybody just starting out. It really has been my biggest motivation when I'm having a bad day, I can't argue with myself when I see the progress. I've lost 84" overall, 16" of those from my waist and 15" from my hips.
