February 2026 starters

Crossfitgirl · 30/01/2026 12:00

Hi all, I have my first pen on the way and as far as I can see there is no starter thread for Feb, so I hope it's ok to make one.
All welcome whether recently started or looking to start this month - I think by the time mine arrives it will probably be February!
Hoping for support, experiences, recommendations, more support and the rest!

I am nearly 40, 2 young kids and full time job, starting on wegovy, with the goal of lowering my cholesterol (and reducing my huge belly).

Week 5 and first 0.5 WG jab done. Scales at 14.8. So another 2lbs off. Here hoping there are no negative side effects.

Had reason to celebrate last night so took the kids out for pizza. I’d normally have a whole pizza but went for the starter charcuterie board and a small slice from the kids - and that’s what I wanted to do! Also managing to do a wee treat once a week, so had a scoop of vegan dark chocolate ice cream and it was delicious. Tried a wee scoop of one of the kids and it was way too sweet. Also managing to say no to chocolate at work, where normally I’d be all over it. Wore a top to work I’d not worn since last summer and it was loose. Feeling so much better just getting that stone and a half off. Almost overweight now!

Week 6. Scales at 14.4 this morning. Which is a small miracle as I had two nights out this week. I am now officially overweight, hallelujah. Still feeling good but have gone from feeling boiling hot all the time to having cold hands and feet! I can live with that.

Rosetime · 19/03/2026 10:09

@Wambamaloomaawambamboo , sorry to hear that it's gallstones. How are you today? Have the medical team told you next steps?

Congratulations @soupmaker , on your loss.

Good to know I am not the only one with a odd bits and pieces space in the fridge. Mine is the shelf at the top of the fridge door, that's where my pen lives...under all the stuff. Luckily, I am the only one in this house who is interested in the fridge.

@Crossfitgirl , i also find i take longer thinking about a craving or having a snack. And then I am able to decide, i actually don't need it. I hope your side effects are getting better.

RedApplePie · 19/03/2026 10:43

crossfitgirl, that sounds awful. I keep thinking I need to go up and then rapidly change my mind. I’m out and about a lot also and the toilet stress at any time is bad without adding that to the mix. I am tending to have a bout of diarrhoea first thing, but that’s it over with. I suppose click counting the pen for a lower dose is your best option.

Rosetime · 19/03/2026 11:05

https://monj.co.uk/monj-mounjaro-click-chart/

This would help with click counting. It gives you the number of clicks for eah pen to deliver the dose you want.

Cookiedough123 · 19/03/2026 14:26

Sorry to hear people are having some side effects! Gallstones sound terrible!
My 5mg pen is meant to be arriving today. It was posted yesterday and on tracked 24 with Royal Mail but the tracking isn’t updating. But it might still come today according to the providers as it can take 24h for the tracking to update! My partner has just got home and obviously doesn’t know I’ve ordered it so now I’m window watching for the postie. Last time I collected from Asda and it was much less stressful 🤣 but I’m saving £45 by buying it with med express… argh please come soon 🤣

Rosetime · 19/03/2026 17:45

Has the postie been? Our postman finishes around 6pm here some days. Other days, it 4pm. Hope your are able to intercept the delivery without any problems.

Medexpress has some really good 1st buy discount codes. It's great isn't it? I ordered from medexpress today, i ordered around half twelve, sent pic, ID and previous prescription immediately. By half 3, it was approved! I must say i was impressed.

It's a shame they don't have discount codes for returning customers.

Does anyone else find it hard just to trust the process sometimes? I KNOW my weight loss is ok for where I am, but that doesn’t seem to stop a bit of negative self-talk around ‘other people are doing much better/it could stop working and then where will you be/why can’t you just screw your head on and do it without medication’ etc etc. Plus I seem to see a ton of people doing very low cal and if that’s really what it’s going to take, I don’t think I have it in me. I haven’t really lost anything this week - I’ve lost and gained the same pound several times! I’m eating my protein, lifting heavy, walking a lot, counting every bite that goes into my mouth. Just got the blahs today, I think.

This can be me. I spent years putting on this weight and it’s going to take time to get it off sustainably. I resist the temptation to jump on the scales every other day (haven’t had scales for 35 years until recently) and go by how I feel, how clothes are fitting. I bloat and retain water if I eat a slice of pizza or a sandwich. Hormones are also at play and causing havoc. I fully expect my losses to slow down over the coming weeks.

soupmaker · 19/03/2026 18:16

Also @RedApplePie remember comparison is the thief of joy. We will get there in our own way. This needs to sustainable not a quick fix.

Cookiedough123 · 19/03/2026 20:13

@Rosetime my tracking finally updated and it said it was coming tomorrow! So it must not have been dispatched till today even though they said it had! It said between 1030-130 and I will be home alone that time so should be good! I went on the price comparison website and it was the cheapest for a 5mg pen. I think you can keep getting £50 off with them. I know I got a code I can share which gives someone £50 off and me £50 credit. If you scroll to the bottom of the page where it says information with a drop down box and click referral scheme it should show you your code

Yeah to be fair it's been mostly an hour or so after breakfast, then seems to settle later on. It's not helped with sticking to a good protein heavy diet though, as I've then been trying to eat foods that are easy on the stomach and won't make me nauseous, so basically carbs! I've been absolutely exhausted the past couple of days too which I think is related. I'm going to rest up and hope tomorrow is better, and get back to the gym! Haven't managed to go since last Friday 😓 and I don't think I'll lose this week as I've not eaten the right foods this past few days. Come on, need a good week now!

I think I will still go up to 0.5, but click count for slightly lower dose when my next pen comes.

Does anyone have a click count resource for Wegovy?

OP posts:
Rosetime · 20/03/2026 04:15

https://glp1clickscounter.com/calculator.php
This may help.

It seems to tie in with other wegovy click counters from countries like Australia & other European countries that the 0.5mg Wegovy pen has 37 clicks for a full dose

https://www.reddit.com/r/GLP1Australia/comments/1l6tblb/ozempic_and_wegovy_click_charts_are_up/
Scroll through the pics for the 0.5mg pen

Or

If your 0.5mg pen has 74 clicks, then maybe this link below may help. It is for a 1mg pen. So you divide every dose in half.

How much is everyone roughly loosing weekly on MJ? Not sure if I should up my dose

TwoNicePuppies · 20/03/2026 07:28

@RIRO25 my hubby has lost an average of 0.9lb per week, he’s definitely going up for his next dose as at his last weekly weigh in he put on 1lb, it’s obvious that the suppression is gone too, he’s still making healthy choices (mostly!) but is eating a lot more!

I’m just about to take my 8th dose today, so I’ve had 7 full weeks. I’ve lost either 14 lbs (yesterday and Tuesday) or 15 lbs (today and Wednesday) 🙄. I’m probably secretly slightly disappointed but I probably won’t go up as I’m tracking really carefully and I don’t want to be eating less than I am as I do heavy weight training and I want to hold onto my muscle as far as possible throughout this. I’m on 2.5 of MJ by the way.

princesspeppax · 20/03/2026 07:41

Week 4 weight in. Lost exactly 1 stone - start the 5mg tonight. Had no side effects with 2.5mg hoping this is the same

How come you are disappointed? I am on week 6 (I had 1 week break with no jab as side affects were not great) and I’ve lost 13lbs so quite similar to you

Wambamaloomaawambamboo · 20/03/2026 08:49

@RedApplePie You dont want to lose weight to quickly or you may be in the postion I'm in and its not fun at all

RedApplePie · 20/03/2026 09:26

Exactly. I do know all this. It’s just the mind playing tricks, isn’t it. I’ve been very clear from day one that I wanted low and slow to minimise risk of more serious side effects and to fuel my training. So I have absolutely no right to be disappointed. But then I see people with much higher losses determined to go up a dose and I start to second guess myself. I think I’m just having a sad week really and this is something to latch it on to. I’m also being very hard on myself about ‘how did I let this happen’ rather than focusing on ‘it’s great that you’ve got medication to help you turn it around’.

How are you feel now, Bamboo. Such a shit thing to happen to you.

InstantRegret · 20/03/2026 09:27

@RIRO25 I’m losing 0.5-1lb a week so one of the slower users on here but tbf, I’m not counting calories or exercising so I possibly could be losing more if I was trying harder. I’m quite happy to let it do its work in the background at the moment while I figure out what I’m doing. I’m eating smaller portions and just generally less but still having sweet treats as and when I fancy them so not depriving myself. Just kind of going with the flow at the moment.

Yup. I’ve had a couple of days of toast and breakfast cereals. Not ideal but the thought of protein was making me gag.

Slow and steady wins the race! And its better in the long run but I totally get what you mean, you want the weight off now.
I'm actually feeling a bit better, no pain for a few days but I'm watching what I'm eating and making sure it's all low fat. I have my ultrasound next week so will hopefully get some answers

Sounds like the perfect method. Eat when and what you want, but be mindful of keeping protein up and think about overnight stomach contents!

DanaScullysLegoHair · 20/03/2026 17:55

Oh no @Crossfitgirl! I feel your pain. I went up to 0.5 3 weeks ago and I didn't get any stomach upsets until the day after dose 3. I had terrible stomach pains and had to run to the loo once. Sounds as if you've been a bit unlucky.

I do generally try to stick to tried and tested foods. On the day I ran to the loo, I'd had a small gut health salad which is what I think set me off.

Hopefully it's a one off. Good luck!

DanaScullysLegoHair · 20/03/2026 17:58

P.S. I'm staying in Whitby at the moment and just had a small fish and chips out. Currently sitting back at the Airbnb with stomach cramps. I won't be doing that again in a hurry...

Trial and error! 😆
