Wk43
HW pre MJ 19st 7
SW MJ 18st 1
CW 14st 8
GW 9st 6 for 24.9 BMI ( can’t see me getting anywhere near that and think I’d be happy at anything under 13 stone)
I’m very consistently losing 1lb per week and enjoying going down the sizes, I started off in 24-26 and yesterday wore a size 16 gillet and felt amazing.
I love reading everyone’s journey on here and get amazed at seeing the ranges of weight lost, this really is life changing. I’m off diabetic meds and have a review next week with sleep clinic and hopefully I can come off C-pap machine too.
Thanks everyone for keeping me motivated

PearlTeapot · 15/02/2026 18:15

Somehow gained 3lb in the last two weeks! I haven’t been eating that badly I don’t think but there has been snacks and treats not on a Sunday. So I’m going back to being strict with myself from today. I’ve done my usual eat what I want Sunday and will then eat carefully the rest of the week.

I feel jealous of people who say they can’t eat enough calories. I’m always over my daily and feel like I could eat way more. Breakfast fruit and fibres with oat milk, lunch protein bagel with cottage cheese and chicken, snack of prunes and apricots (can think of much better things I’d rather have but my bowels need these), normal dinner of a Gousto meal under 600 calories, some fruit and that’s me at 1400. And not losing. So do I ditch the dried fruit?

PearlTeapot · 15/02/2026 18:15

@52soon well done at coming off the diabetes meds! Must feel great. Hope you can stop the cpap too, that will be life changing.

MummyInTheNecropolis · 15/02/2026 18:23

Well done everyone for keeping going! Glad you managed to find a solution @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne I hope all goes well with your appointment.

@PearlTeapot it was inevitable that you’d have a few extra treats after finally making it home, they were very well deserved and I hope you enjoyed them! 3lbs isn’t much really, I’m sure once you’ve settled into your new routine you will naturally cut back on the extra snacks and drop those 3lbs.

Couple of NSVs for me this weekend - I did a 12 mile hike by the coast yesterday, I loved every minute, didn’t get out of breath, didn’t struggle at all, and feel fine today! No sore feet or tight muscles. All of my exercise is paying off, at almost 42 I am the fittest I’ve ever been in my life!

Second one, I picked up a hoodie in Sainsbury’s today, meant to get a small but accidentally got an XS - was all set to return it but thought I might as well try it - it fits perfectly! 😲

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 15/02/2026 18:53

Well done @MummyInTheNecropolis . I've had a few NSVs in the last few days too - gone down another notch on my belt, tried on a size 18 jacket in the charity shop and it fit perfectly, and my fitness age on Garmin is almost down to my actual age!

PearlTeapot · 15/02/2026 18:53

Brilliant NSVs! 12 miles, wow I can still only dream of it. You must be feeling wonderful with lots of endorphins! And looking good in your XS.

Sorry to derail the conversation but I wondered if anyone feels physically sick anytime they take the jag? I've been taking it since april last year, lost nearly 6 stone and been fine until the last month. Whenever I think about taking the jag or take it I feel so sick. I'm still obviously taking it but it's driving me mad feeling like this.

I also get this. The smell of alcowipes now also triggers it. I find if I have a small snack immediately after the jab it helps. I assume it's the drop in my blood sugar.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 15/02/2026 19:49

@52soon Amazing progress. Good luck with the CPAP review, I have sleep apnoea too and am on CPAP, can’t imagine not needing it. Will they need to do another sleep study to see if you can come off? I’ve noticed my average pressure slowly decreasing as I lose weight but no idea if going without is ever possible for me.

52soon · 15/02/2026 21:48

@ConfusedMiddleAger83 I think this review will be data from my cpap machine, I didn’t really have a sleep study just had to wear a monitor on my wrist attached to a sensor on my thumb overnight, I was diagnosed and put on cpap machine from that, I’ve only had machine since last March and was the push I needed to start MJ just before the end of April, my goal is to get off cpap completely. Fingers crossed 🤞 my husband says I don’t snore anymore and I haven’t had a nanna nap in the afternoon or early evening for months, without fail I would drop off to sleep for 15-30 mins most days whilst sat on sofa either after work before tea or after tea.

ConfusedMiddleAger83 · 15/02/2026 22:20

@52soon sounds good, let me know how you get on. I’ve been on my machine for 4 years after pandemic weight gain and was told to get a gastric band but I really didn’t fancy that, thank heavens Mounjaro came along.

eibbed999 · 16/02/2026 07:32

Weigh in day, 1lb down. Sounds okay apart from the fact that I'd gained 2 last week, and this week I've been all over the place. Still less than a stone off since end of July. Guys, not gonna lie, I'm so sick of being me right now. The food noise is horrendous - I'm back at the stage where as soon as the thought of binging/getting a takeaway crosses my mind, it takes root. I fight it for a bit but I know I'll give in eventually. I'm so fed up - this isn't even about weight loss any more. It's about this constant battle with myself to make the right choices, to not effectively self-harm, to have some peace with it all. Then of course once you hit that frame of mind, all your anxieties about everything else - money, kids, health, relationships - kind of pile on and make everything worse. It's absolutely exhausting. Going to start taking 12.5 and then 2.5 a few days later, see if that helps to even things out. Sorry to bleat. All of you are amazing and inspiring and I'm so glad I have this safe space.

SW: 307lb
CW: 238lb

MCR24 · 16/02/2026 08:21

So far this week I've put weight on, not Ideal.

Doggymummar · 16/02/2026 08:32

1.4 down last week to 157 which is my pref Christmas weight so that's good. 13 lb to go the
healthy BMI I'm gonna be a size six at this rate. It's so bonkers I'm gonna.measure my height again I feel so tiny I don't know if I will look good with another stone off. Last time I was size 6 I was 3 stone lighter than now at 8.5 stone how does that even work? And a teenager, not almost 60

Edited

Definitely double check your height, we do shrink as we get older so if you are using the height you've always been it may not be accurate. But clothes sizes have also changed over time - a size 6 when you were a teenager is probably more like a 4 or even a 2 now.

PearlTeapot · 16/02/2026 11:29

@eibbed999 the food noise sounds awful, it's the one thing that is impossible to ignore for me. Hope going up a dose helps, otherwise maybe try wegovy? I know they say mj just doesn't work for some people although I know it did for you previously.

Today is me feeling back 'on it' but I just weighed my breakfast and a bowl of fruit and fibre with a coffee is 374. No wonder I'm not losing, it's all the hidden calories, I'd been guessing my bowl was 40g but it was 55g for example. I'm going to try and stick to my 3 meals only and see how I get on, and cut out the prunes and apricots which I know are good for me but very calorific.

Thanks @PearlTeapot - it is tough right now. I've been on 15 a while, but after a few days it's like I'm not on anything at all, so I'm hoping that spreading it through the week might help. Mine are definitely not hidden calories like yours - mine are great big fat take aways and trips to the shop for a bag full of chocolate bars! I hate it, but feel completely helpless. I've always been like this, my whole life, apart from when I started MJ - I'd say from last March through until about August, it was amazing, I felt like a completely different person. Like a normal one. Since then it's been a slog - up, down, all around, losing, gaining, fighting through it every day. I'm not convinced Wegovy will work either, but if this carries on I'll switch, nothing to lose. I genuinely think my body/mind have reached their limit - 5 stone off. And of course I'm happy with 5 stone off, but I have another 6 to go!

Good luck with your new regime, and be kind to yourself - you did amazingly well under your circumstances, and now you're paying attention and not letting yourself slide. You're brilliant.

TragicMuse · 16/02/2026 12:23

LOSERS!

I got my diabetes bloods done on Thursday. The results are now on my GP’s app.

Last year Hba1c was 43, today it’s 31!

GLP-1s are incredible. Truly amazing.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/02/2026 13:18

@eibbed999
I'm so sorry you're really struggling.

Here's a thought. I know that some doctors use MJ off-label and give some patients 20mg doses.

Think about injecting 20mg. I know it isn't on the schedule but it has been done in the past. I've done it myself recently and the difference was astounding.

OP posts:
TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/02/2026 13:19

Also, it wouldn't surprise me if a 20mg pen was issued at some point.

After all, a 7.2mg Wegovy pen recently came out.

I will give it some thought @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne, thank you. Others have suggested also coming off for a couple of weeks and starting again, but I'm a bit scared of that!

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 16/02/2026 13:23

Well I'm on the way back down.

10st 10lb today. I'm feeling a lot more positive now that I've sorted out my hospital visit.

DS2 still hasn't got a diagnosis or an out-patient appointment.

Glad it's sorted for you. Is your son waiting for a brain scan?

Well, that might work.
I've considered it myself, but decided to give myself 20mg instead.

I was amazed at the suppression. It reminded me of the beginning of MJ all those months (years) ago.

No, he's waiting to be sent a neurology appt.

And then they'll probably say he needs a scan. And the wait starts all over again. Very frustrating for you both.
