If you feel good and have energy then I’d not add extra calories for the sake of it. Maybe just a protein drink or similar. The my protein clear drinks are 20g of protein for 100 calories.

Edited

I do feel good, great even, and am exercising daily so have plenty of energy. Are those protein drinks vegetarian? I know that collagen supplements aren't.

Iwouldratherbesinging · 14/02/2026 22:21

Glad you’re sorted @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne!

@RenegadeKeeblerElf if I'm struggling to eat enough calories I’ll usually have a handful of nuts

Thank you for all your suggestions and support over the hospital debacle.

You're all such lovely people.

@RenegadeKeeblerElf
I'd keep eating the way you're eating.

In a few months' time you'll be joining the "Only losing 2lb a month" Club.

I would just say keep an eye on your protein and nutrients if you're eating so few calories. Ask me how I know all about hair loss due to not fuelling myself properly ☹️!

I second the My Protein clear whey. Its really tasty, and doesn't leave that awful aftertaste other protein drinks do. Ive just had a look at two I have, and they both say suitable for vegetarians

Billybingbong · 14/02/2026 22:47

Actually, scrap that. Forget the protein drinks, I much prefer Broon's jaffa cake suggestion instead 🤣

MCR24 · 14/02/2026 23:24

So weird you're all discussing rings, I've been to a few jewellers today looking at new rings. I think I fancy a change rather than a resize!

EnterSandfan · 14/02/2026 23:55

Weigh in and jab day for me today

Highest weight: 293lbs (Nov 2020, pre-MJ)
SW on MJ 253lbs (13 Nov 2025)
CW 222.5bs/15 stone 12.5lbs
GW: 10 stone/140lbs ish

Into the 15s, just! Haven't been in the 15s since 2013.
Latter half of this week I've eaten pizza, pasta, cake etc but lost 3lbs because the week began with a horrific bout of food poisoning! I do not recommend it 😆 never been so ill before.

Even though I'm losing I've been feeling 'meh' because although I'm feeling a bit better physically, I'm not seeing much improvement in the mirror; all I've noticed this week is my wobbly neck and jowels 😔 please tell me I'm just in an awkward middle stage (lost 5 stone, about 5/6 more to go). I know I'm losing for the health benefits/quality of life really, but I was hoping to look a bit nicer too - I'm only 42 but feel like I look like I'm melting!

Springflowers2 · 15/02/2026 06:30

I can finally wear my wedding and engagement rings now I'm smaller ,but I left it to long before trying and they just fall off if my hand is down.
So I bought these snake things of Amazon ,like plastic coils ,there was different sizes in the packet and enough for plenty of rings .I bought the gold colour and it works like a dream ,can't see it ,can't feel it and it's saved me paying out to get them resized .
I also need to focus on protein,.have bought from my protein before, they do boxes of different flavours, like drinking a cordial..that's reminded me to order some

Iwouldratherbesinging · 15/02/2026 07:13

@Springflowers2 i tried those gold coloured plastic coil things to wind round my rings and they just twist/slip round on my fingers so the plastic coils are on view 😏, glad they work for you though!

@EnterSandfan you’re definitely going through that awkward middle stage, hang on in there!

I have it round most of the ring up the sides to grip ,you can't see it tho.and I spent a while picking which thickness of coil was best ,which took a while to wind on and of .but I have it quite tight so there's no movement.mine came with lots of choices of thickness..I'm using them on all my rings .

Springflowers2 · 15/02/2026 07:47

Finally a loss this morning
16 stone 8 pounds
I bought lactose and more senna and obviously drinking lots ..so that all helped .
Going to try to swim every day this week

Springflowers2 · 15/02/2026 07:50

I've been doing omad as well ,but switching it up to lunchtime..
I also .. stupidly..bought meal replacement shakes ..thinking I would move to that ..but then couldn't face it when it arrived..it's high protein,so going to mix it in to some oats and feed it the DC 😂

Billybingbong · 15/02/2026 08:17

@EnterSandfan yes, definitely the awkward stage. I'm calling it my ugly duckling era. Once the body catches up, the saggy skin will settle down, and a beautiful swan will emerge 🥰

Motnight · 15/02/2026 08:36

Billybingbong · 14/02/2026 19:03

I got my rings resized last year, but made bigger because I hadn't been able to get them on for at least 10 years. It cost me £270 for 3 rings. 2 months later, I started MJ, and now they are all to bloody big 🙄

I've bought the cheap plastic ring resizers from Amazon.

My DH has lit a couple of stone and lst his wedding ring - he was really upset. Don't be my DH.

AmberLime · 15/02/2026 08:55

I'm the other way with my rings. I had them resized last time I lost weight (2017) and have not worn then since 2021 when they got too small.

I was able to start wearing them again in January- which felt like a huge NSV.

MrTiddlesTheCat · 15/02/2026 09:43

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 14/02/2026 18:36

Right, I'm sorted for the hospital.

A friend has made a definite commitment to take me and is willing to leave at 04.30.

Just need to make a plan for the cats but it'll be fine.

I think we may have twins.

Week 50, 10mg

SW 19st 4lbs (Jan 2025, pre-MJ)
SW on MJ 18st 11.5lbs (1 Mar 2025)
CW 12st 13.5lbs
Change this week -1lbs
Total loss 86.5lbs/6st 4.5lb

I’M IN THE 12s!

It’s been a tough week, weight all over the place and everywhere except further down.

Next week is my birthday, we’re going out for food around 4pm so I’m planning my day to accommodate it in a way that doesn’t feel like I’ve deprived myself!

EverybodysALebowski · 15/02/2026 10:53

Granted, I am completely paranoid about getting enough fibre. But @RenegadeKeeblerElf if you wanted to add a little more calories but not hamper things maybe you could add some more fibre and a bit of fruit or more healthy fats in there? I find it helpful to have a slice of Ryvita with some chicken, ham, cheese, or avocado on it plus an apple or some raspberries or such. As a snack it's pretty low in calories but adds protein, fibre, good fat, vitamins, as well as some variation to my diet (I'd probably live on greek yogurt otherwise).

But hey gin and/or chocolate sounds marvelous too.
