I hope it’s okay to start a new thread as we are getting dangerously close to the end of thread 1

My current stats are

MJ 2.5mg just taken dose three
planning on staying on 2.5mg for my next pen
SW: 13 stone 9.4lbs
Week 1: lost 11 lbs
Week 2: lost 3 lbs
Total weightloss: 1 stone (a small jack russel terrier)
GW: 9 stone 7

We have some newbies joining mid month so let’s cheer them on - we’ve got this ladies!

I appear to have lost weight on my feet as all my shoes are now loose. How weird is that?

I've also lost weight from my right breast but not my left. I have edema on that side due to breast cancer treatment but they were pretty much the same size. The edema seemed to compensate, size wise, for the surgery. I don't think it's noticable to others. Yet!

I've been looking at photos from about 10 years ago, when I was probably the lightest I've been since I was a (young!) teen, and realising how different I looked. I've been telling myself I hide the weight well, but the photos tell a different story. I have clothes from back then that I would love to get back into, hopefully by the time I switch to my summer wardrobe I'll finally be able to wear some things that haven't made it out of storage for a good while.

I'm the same as you. I think I don't look too bad... and then I see myself in photos. I have 'thin clothes' too but they're about 20 years old and definitely not in fashion anymore (and certainly not now at my age!) but it would be nice to be able to get them on again just to say I've done it.

I’m expecting it to take until I’ve hit about 3st off before people notice a change - we have a family wedding in August so am aiming for a big entrance 😆

I’m hoping to hit a stone off in my first 6 weeks - that feels sustainable and would mean by our holiday I could be 2.5-3st lighter which will make for a much more pleasant experience on the flight and in the heat.

I think it's good to break weight loss down into smaller goals. I find it makes it more achievable for me.
I want to lose another stone in time for an event in mid March, then another stone by the end of May if I can (not putting any pressure on myself though, just that it would be great to hit it if I can and it should keep me motivated).

Shit evening for me
My dog has been hit by a car and its not looking good
I was training at work and just turned to jelly so had to get someone to take over
Please keep your fingers and toes crossed for Teddy 😭😭

I’m so sorry, keeping everything crossed for Teddy 😥

Perianth · 06/02/2026 20:10

Poor Teddy! I hope he pulls through.

FrothyCothy · 06/02/2026 20:30

Oh poor Teddy - best of luck to him

Hotfirewood · 06/02/2026 20:34

Poor pup!! Hope he’s ok!

FrothyCothy · 06/02/2026 20:35

Signs that something is weird in our house:

  • there’s Ben and Jerry’s left in the freezer
  • a fresh loaf of tiger bread from the weekend remains unfinished in the kitchen
  • The kids’ leftovers are boxed up in the fridge
  • DH and I spent Friday evening in the gym
  • planned on Maccies for tea (long week), instead came home and made an omelette.

If I didn’t know better I’d say we’d been possessed.

I still can’t believe I haven’t had a slice of bread since last year! 😱 We have it in the house for the DC, along with a variety of tempting food but neither of us have been even slightly tempted!

Sorry to hear about Teddy - fingers crossed for him.

I've been eating less this week, though I'm having to use more willpower than appetite suppression. Think I'm feeling a bit impatient with the stalling of weight loss. Yesterday I did a Pilates sculpt session which was more challenging than my home workouts! I'm probably being a bit too gentle on myself at home.

My jeans are feeling much looser, I am going to just hand-sew the waist smaller rather than buy smaller sizes, until I drop a couple of sizes. I still have loads of clothes in 1, 2 3 sizes smaller as I'm bad at clearing them out - but now I probably won't wear them as I wore skinnies back then and I don't think I'd ever wear that style again. Even if they came back into fashion I'd find them too tight and uncomfy now!

glutenisthedevil · 07/02/2026 09:51

Weigh day for me today and 2lbs off, so 16lb in total across 5 weeks. Just off to take jab #6 and kind of regret being stuck on 2.5mg for another month. I'll definitely be moving up a dose for my next pen.

Ralphiesaurus · 07/02/2026 10:24

So sorry to hear about Teddy @notcomfortable - keeping everything crossed he pulls through

blackandwhitefluffycat · 07/02/2026 10:53

That’s a good idea re the sewing @Rubytoes My trousers are much looser but I have large hips so no chance of my trousers falling down, unlike my DH whose trousers are literally falling down and he’s had to make new notches in a belt to keep them up for work! He’s refusing to buy new clothes as he drops sizes, although thankfully he’s said he will treat himself to some for our upcoming holiday!

notcomfortable · 07/02/2026 11:54

Thank you all for the wishes,
Teddy was sadly put to sleep last night 💔 as a family we are utterly broken
I've never had a dog pts before so it feels very consuming right now. My children are devastated but deep down it was the kindest thing for him and they will understand that as they get older (4 kids aged 10 and under)
Thank you all ❣️
