Well done @Aimingforearlierbedtimes , amazing progress photos. Also noticed a change in attitude in the recent one! 😜

1lb off this morning, 2lb to goal.

I'm so busy at work, didn't get home until 9pm last night, another big day today, wish me luck.

BlueLimes · 15/01/2026 07:10

@PrepossessingPenelope I’m so excited for you - 2lbs!!
Good luck today

Zempy · 15/01/2026 07:28

Brilliant seeing the photos. Well done everyone!

meatyryvita · 15/01/2026 07:33

@Aimingforearlierbedtimes and @RockyisMYRhino bloody hell, how far you have both come. Major differences and hopefully you’re both feeling amazing too. Well done!

@Polkadotdash same on the dry skin, so I’ll be following @BlueLimes advice too.

Weigh in for me this morning and as expected, I’ve dropped the last bit of Christmas gain (I’d put on 1.6lbs), the 0.9 lb remaining has gone so I’m back to where I was pre-Christmas which is satisfying.

SW 15.10 (30th Jan 2025)
CW 10.9.9
GW 10 stone (TBD)

Still on 2.4mg of Wegovy and definitely had a wobble this week were I contemplated moving back to MJ (like @hunkydory54 ) but thought I’d see what this weigh in brought. Whilst the loss is very slow, I think I’ll stick with it given I’m so close to goal.

I’m still in disbelief that the person I see in the mirror is actually me. I can’t also seem to comprehend how different my life was this time last year. I’d not heard of Mounjaro and beyond sensational stories about celebrities and Ozempic, didn’t really know anything about WLI.

A colleague who I get on very well with looked like he’d lost weight and I complimented him on looking so well. He told me about Mounjaro whilst we were chatting and I remember trying to remember the name and did a Google search to find out more. What a life changing conversation! Every now and again, I say to him that I’m so very glad he told me about them.

And then I found you lot of super supportive non-vipers! Xx

HeidiLite · 15/01/2026 07:34

@Polkadotdash Korean stuff has made a massive difference to my skin.
My current favourite products to be layered all on top of each other:
HaruHaru Black Rice Essence
Anua - Niacinamide 10 TXA 4 Serum
medicube - PDRN Pink Peptide Serum
Dr. Althea - 345 Relief Cream

good luck @PrepossessingPenelope !

@meatyryvita similar, I didn't even consider the option before some friends said they were on MJ. I still remember the discussion with one - you are on it?? But you're slim.
And she goes: well, yes, now I am!

I'm a bit stuck on 59 kilos, but have had a week at home doing online trainings, so snacks are too close. And a work dinner this evening. Will try to add some cardio this weekend. I'm sure at least some is muscle though, glutes looking plumper.

Just quickly popping on to say.....I hit goal this morning!!!! 😁
70kg bang on, 31kg lost! Absolutely delighted 🤩
right, back to work. Will catch up properly later, some fab before/after photos!!

cloudjumper · 15/01/2026 08:37

Morning losers! Just ordered my next pen, going back up to 10 mg (I might regret that)…. So expensive, ugh! I was looking at a new coat, but I think I’ll have to wait now 😖 Wonder when the mj prices will start coming down again, it’s just insane.

cloudjumper · 15/01/2026 08:38

Yay for hitting goal @MJalltheway!!

Zempy · 15/01/2026 08:38

Congratulations @MJalltheway!!!

Jins · 15/01/2026 08:51

Congratulations @MJalltheway. Such a great achievement.

The friend I met yesterday is a sharp cookie. Spotted immediately that I’d lost more weight since our last get together and that I’d done so over Christmas. Totally understood my explanation that I’d aimed to lose a couple of pounds beforehand and then lost a couple more. I need to make more time for her, she’s such a good laugh.

Yesterday morning I tried on some fleece lined leggings I bought in an Aldi middle aisle moment of madness. So cosy they stayed on all day and I actually went to see if they had more. Came away with a dark grey pair and another black pair. I wouldn’t have entertained wearing them 12 months ago.

The skincare talk is timed well. My skin has gone very dry this year as well. Coupled with my increased wrinkles I’m not liking the look of my face much. I’ve dug out my trusty Nivea in the blue pot but thinking a serum may be useful as well. Any tips for a cheap but effective one? The coffers are pretty empty and car insurance is due next month.

HeidiLite · 15/01/2026 09:01

woohoo goal @MJalltheway !

OP posts:
HeidiLite · 15/01/2026 09:10

@Jins is your skin dehydrated, lacking moisture, or dry due to lacking sebum? You would want different serums for those issues. https://www.cerave.com/skin-smarts/skincare-tips-advice/dry-or-dehydrated-skin-tips

OP posts:
Jins · 15/01/2026 09:17

@HeidiLite elements of both I think. Cheeks are probably dehydrated but my nose seems to have become very dry and there’s a bit of flaky skin around it. Improving a bit with the Nivea though.

HeidiLite · 15/01/2026 09:21

you can also try Dr Althea 147 barrier cream. Really good in this kind of weather.
Cheaper if you order it straight from Korean sites, but quite widely available elsewhere too.

@26inprogress you're also half the person you used to be!

OP posts:
Aimingforearlierbedtimes · 15/01/2026 10:51

@MJalltheway congratulations!
@BlueLimes yes I’m 5’2” so similar. It’s easy to look dumpy at this height.
@HeidiLite swimsuit is Batoko, allegedly made from old plastic bottles. Very comfortable and they do regular sample sales too.
@26inprogress looks great. I don’t usually do that emoji on face thing but both of us have summed up our before and after feelings!

Whether we are at our ultimate goals or not, every one of these posts shows a massive difference and as @PrepossessingPenelope said, changes in confidence too (in my case it was because I knew that photo would look awful and really didn’t want to be in it).

meatyryvita · 15/01/2026 10:54

@MJalltheway congratulations!!! 31kg is astounding! You're 2/3 of what you used to be!

@26inprogress woweee!! Amazing results - you look fantastic.

Aimingforearlierbedtimes · 15/01/2026 11:01

For skin care, I’m a complete tart and will usually be using whatever sample I got hold of last, but if I’m buying it for myself, I tend to come back to either Boots number 7 or Clinique products. I find as long as I’m consistent it’s okay, but my skin is relatively trouble free (apart from the wrinkles of course). I have been enjoying using votary products which have hyaluronic acid in them, but I think they are in the higher price range, I might look for some other hyaluronic acid products.

JoanCollinsDiva · 15/01/2026 12:04

MJalltheway
Well done!

26inprogress
Looking fab - love what you did there with the emojis 😂

BlueLimes · 15/01/2026 16:04

@MJalltheway amazing - so pleased for you.
@26inprogress you look fantastic - fabulous result.

Always here for beauty chat -I’ll try not to post too many links 🥱

DGmaintaining · 15/01/2026 19:27

Well done @MJalltheway
Amazing progress pic @Aimingforearlierbedtimes

Reading the beauty chat with interest. I use Medik8 - I do the crystal retinal cream 3 followed by their night cream then Tetra Vit C followed by the Balance Moisturiser. Then a couple of nights a week I do the glycolic drops that come with the balance moisturiser and that’s helped a little with the very shiny shine.
I then add Kiehls spf50, and then if I’m wearing make up I use Erborian bb cream to even out my skin tone, which also has an SPF. Yet despite this I still have sun spots!

Tipped over 59kg this morning and I don’t have @HeidiLite’s excuse of lots of training and growing glutes. Also have a medium sized hormonal spot on the side of my face - squeezable - which I don’t recall having at all while I’ve been on MJ. I also feel a bit more swollen in my legs. I’m wondering if I’m no longer feeling the anti-inflammatory benefits at this dose, or just over-thinking it.
Everyday I’m forensically analysing details to see if the lower dose is producing positive or negative results!
