Definitely agree on the evolving style! I've always worn slim fit jeans, my legs were always quite slim in comparison to my belly but now I'm really into slim waist, wide legged or pleated trousers. I just went shopping this morning and bought another two pairs. AND!!! Bought my first ever size 10 clothes!! I mean, it's two jumpers so I know it doesn't quite count because they are oversized anyway, but size 10s! Unthinkable!
I also got a linen summer dress with a fitted waist and DH even spotted that it made my waist look tiny, he's usually oblivious to that sort of thing. All in all, a good morning 😊 except my back is now suffering so resting with a heat pack. 😭

Jins · 29/03/2026 08:52

Buying the next size down is always a great feeling @MJalltheway

In terms of style I tend to stick to the same safe shapes whether I’m big or small but a few weeks ago I uploaded my latest photo for prescription purposes up to ChatGPT to ask what would suit me. It was bang on! It identified my wide shoulders and lack of waist very politely. Reassuringly I’m already dressing as it suggests and generally in the right colours. So I’m sticking with v or scoop necks, wrap tops and straight legged trousers for the foreseeable future.

I wasted my quiet day by having a 3 hour nap in the afternoon. Couldn’t be bothered to cook for just me so slung a gf pizza in the oven. Felt like a right slob but sometimes you need days like that. I’m setting some time aside to alter some clothes today so hopefully I’ll have something other than leggings to wear. I checked back to see what I weighed when I was happy with the way they fit and it was 8st 12. That 4lbs has made an enormous difference to my shape and size.

26inprogress · 29/03/2026 10:53

Well done @myladyjaneon exercise and maintaining. I know what you mean on the reverse dieting, I tried increasing my calories slowly and base it on my TDEE loosely although I tend to eat less in the week and more at weekends, but that’s ok! Hope your knee is better. Dreams sound stressful, I very rarely remember mine.

@Jinsyour steak dinner sounds delish! So interesting how just a few pounds make such a difference, good luck with the clothes alterations today. Your afternoon yesterday sounds needed and I agree, sometimes you need those days. Hope the polystyrene squeaking has gone!

Well done @tinyemmysounds like you’re in control, don’t beat yourself up, you’ve had lots going on.

@DGmaintaining that’s great news on the check up and good they’re looking after you.

@Thelittlestranger sounds like a lovely few days, sauna and dips are my fave!

@Zempy, the more I hear about Oushk the more I’m determined not to use them. Such a shame as they were so forward thinking ( or seemed to be) initially. I think I may try Pharmulous as lots of you have had good experiences.

@PrepossessingPenelopesounds like a lovely few days and thanks, may look at Curely. How are you feeling since coming off, do you feel better in yourself? Well done on maintaining.

Another one who agrees with the evolving style. I realised that my workplace is slightly more formal than I first thought and the office is hot so I need short sleeves! Went shopping g yesterday and first of all like @MJallthewaywas shocked when firstly I’m definitely a 10 bottom ( and an 8 in Reiss jeans) but I was looking at jackets and talking to my husband about whether I’d need a 10 or a 12 and a lady who overheard me said definitely a 10, she was right! I’m still not seeing it to be honest and really struggle to know both size and what suits me! I think the Pilates is also changing my shape ( according to chat I’m right!) . I need to get my summer clothes from last year out, I suspect that some may be too big which will be annoying.
Busy week at work this week but only 4 days yippee! And off to Stockholm for Easter, thanks for all the recs you gave me a while ago, we’re really looking forward to it!
enjoy your Sundays, we’re going to see the Magic Faraway Tree later, one of my favourite books as a child and I loved reading it to DS so hopefully it’s a good interpretation of the books!

Zempy · 29/03/2026 11:08

Yeah buying clothes is such a different process as everything looks good but it’s still difficult to get things that fit.

My non existent arse looks rubbish in most trousers. I bought some size 8 white cotton trousers off Vinted but they are HUGE. Not just comfortably big, like clown pants. You can guarantee if I tried a size six I wouldn’t be able to do them up!

Shoes continue to be problematic because I must have had fat feet before…

Polkadotdash · 29/03/2026 11:34

Ah enjoy all your sizing down on clothes. I’m very envious. I’m back up to a 16 in certain brands and regretting having sold some of the stuff that was baggy on me last year. 😭. I think I must be the only person in the world to have been taking weight loss drugs for 15 months and gaining weight. It’s quite an achievement 😆. Higher dose of MJ started this weekend. Please pray for me and my flab!!

@26inprogress interested to hear how the Magic Faraway tree is. I loved the books as a kid too so I’m tempted to see the film.

PrepossessingPenelope · 29/03/2026 11:39

@26inprogress enjoy Stockholm, I hope you have a fab time.

I'm feeling ok thanks, I think I feel a bit brighter but have got a health thing going on that we are struggling to a) pin down exactly and b) medicate, so it isn't a straightforward trajectory.

I did see my consultant recently, we talked about how my appetite hasn't really changed off MJ. I hoped that I'd be ok off it because I always thought my diet was mostly ok, I just couldn't manage to eat below 9000 cals a week to lose the weight I'd gained on medication, but I stopped gaining when I stopped taking it and then remained at the same weight whatever I did pre MJ. I am keeping everything firmly crossed, consultant seemed to agree - shame the NHS doesn't treat the whole person really. I get the objective to get rid of cancer was the absolute focus at the time, but 5st in weight would have potentially shortened my lifespan too.

I'm wearing my new size 12 girlfriend jeans today and I already think they look like they are too big. When I tried them on for the first time last weekend I thought they were ok.

I've decided to give up on Vinted. Honestly, I listed a few things, one, a £200 linen jacket for £15. I decided that I really cba with the stupid offers and the requests for measurements of every dimension when I am listing really good quality, not far off new clothes for a really fair/low price. To charity with the lot of it.

Sorry to hear that @Polkadotdash , it is flipping frustrating at times.

RockyisMYRhino · 29/03/2026 11:54

Hi all! Just checking in with you all. I’ve been lurking quite a lot just not posting as life has been very busy here with DC catching various bugs which they decided to share with me (although that did get me down to my lowest weight for 10 years!). DH is at risk of redundancy at his job at the moment so we’ve decided that we’re going to do another two months of Wegovy then knock it on the head. Hopefully I’ll be able to get to my goal or just above it and take the last few pounds off by myself. I can tell my eating habits have changed and so has my mindset. I’ve always thought my goal would be to get to either 10 stone or a size ten but I’ve actually realised that would be waaaay too small for me. So I’ve changed it to between 11 and 11.5 stone and a solid size 12. I’ve got a sturdy frame and have always been curvy so I think I’ll be happier there. I’ll be keeping an eye on you all though and silently cheering you on and supporting.

Polkadotdash · 29/03/2026 12:05

@PrepossessingPenelope thank you. And sorry to hear that you’ve got some medical issues going on. I hear you on the ‘treat the whole person’ thing too. Solving one issue but creating another isn’t really a solution.
And I’ve had some Vinted aggro this week too. I sold a top that I listed as running small and the buyer has created a holy row about it not fitting her. And then I bought a jumper that arrived in a paper gift bag, covered in cat hairs. I complained and was told that I was making issues out of nothing just so that I could get a discount. If I didn’t need the money, I really wouldn’t bother. It’s really time and energy sapping sometimes.

HeidiLite · 29/03/2026 12:16

yes I have Vinted tiredness as well, and what's with all the buyers sending utterly ridiculous offers recently? my prices are very reasonable already. I will upload some nicer things but anything in zara category will go to charity.

tinyemmy · 29/03/2026 12:24

@26inprogressenjoy Stockholm! I also have plans to see The Faraway Tree, also a favourite of mine as a child! I'm thinking of taking the kids when my hubby is away the weekend after Easter as a nice activity.

Sorry to hear about the potential redundancy @RockyisMYRhino

I've also been mostly reading recently. My work continues with my accountability coach and I'm losing weight, I don't feel deprived and I'm not eating tiny calories per day. It's a miracle! Word of warning to those coming off I thought I had it nailed and I was on just 2.5mh so thought it wasn't doing anything but I went crazy once ilmj was no longer in my system and my way of eating completely changed again. If course we are all different so you may not have issues but be prepared to need to monitor it closely. I also started putting on weight and despite blowing through the roof of my target range I could not get back on track. I'm now daily weighing and logging all calories regardless of how bad they are and that's helping. During losing and maintaining last year I didn't log, I didn't need to.

HeidiLite · 29/03/2026 13:24

sorry to hear @tinyemmy it's been a struggle. Do you remember how long it took after you stopped jabbing before you went crazy, as you say?

Because I'm thinking the same - am on a such a small dose, could I manage without? But I'm too scared to try.

We’re in Madeira. It’s so beautiful and our villa is incredible. I immediately got sun burnt because every time I leave the UK for somewhere sunny I forget that my skin reacts to sun.
I swam 6 laps in our little pool, and that’s enough for me today. The wind has a chill to it.

DM won’t stop cooking, like a woman possessed. I can’t imagine my tiny 1.5mg dose of MJ. will stand up again this constant flow of food which somehow I’m able to eat all of. I feel weird eating so much and keep thinking I should increase my dose because this much food can’t be good for me - but then I look in the mirror and think I still look thin, my weight is the same and my clothes all still fit, so I should trust all those things even if my appetite has grown.

I last jabbed 22 Dec, to be fair I put on 2lbs over that week and then another 2lbs the first couple of weeks in January, by the time I went skiing it was another 4lbs and then I put 8lbs on skiing. The rise had started whilst I was still on mj and it was because of binge eating. I should have nipped it in the bud and jabbed again and I would have if I wasn't trialling ADHD medication, which could have also exacerbated things. In the long run I think I'm better off but it's a kicker to have put so much weight back on. I think if you have clear guidelines and boundaries (and you stick to them, unlike me) you'll be fine. I've still got a pen in the fridge that I will probably never use. No idea what to do with it! It's a 5mg!

PrepossessingPenelope · 29/03/2026 17:53

Have a wonderful break @DGmaintaining . Life includes holidays and I am sure you will be fine, enjoy someone cooking for you.

That will come off in no time @tinyemmy , life happens but I don't think you'll have too much to worry about.

HeidiLite · 30/03/2026 08:26

ugh I ate too much yesterday, the weather decided that enough of spring and let's return to winter, totally miserable. Plus I did more cardio and am really noticing how it affects my appetite, challenging to find a good balance there. I am really not enjoying feeling like a stuffed sausage.
@tinyemmy I don't think my boundaries are great, that's what got me where I was in the first place. Pretty sure also ADHD but it doesn't bother me enough to seek a diagnosis and MJ keeps the eating under control.

Thelittlestranger · 30/03/2026 08:55

I'm above my buffer by a lb this morning, so this week I'm going to have to knuckle down. Came home from skiing at the normal top end of buffer, and then carried on eating chocolate 😞

So, yesterday decided to just put non UPF foods in my mouth again for the week - nothing banned apart from that. It's how I ate on MJ, and how I've kept it off for six months. And I'm going to track. Here in support with you @tinyemmy !Oh, and back on the exercise. Posting for accountability.

We have Faraway Tree down for this week, and we're picking up our campervan, so heading off in that for a few nights on the weekend. Very excited about that!! Any tips @Jins for necessaries we need to buy?

@PrepossessingPenelope I hope the health scare is simply that, and nothing more.

And for Vinted, I simply stick to brands I like and sizes I know fit me. Although I bought a TopShop size 8 dress the other day which was too small. All of their tops and trousers fit me in that size, but turns out their dresses don't. That isn't the fault of the seller though!!

Right off to Pilates this morning, then have Spin booked for this evening. And my daughter is back from uni. Enjoy your days!!

Happy Monday! Also making resolutions for this week (which may be slightly compromised if I get my hands on a hot cross bun)

Jins · 30/03/2026 10:32

My favourite question @Thelittlestranger. Remind me again about the campervan. Is it a vw type? We’re caravanners but friends have campervans, motorhomes and caravans and I think between us we’ve seen what’s worth having and what isn’t.

DH has actually noticed I’ve gone smaller in the last few weeks and showed me photos to demonstrate. It’s coming from a good place but he’s worried I’m still in active weightloss mode. I fired up Shotsy and was able to find my weight for the date of each photo. Useful proof of what a difference 3-4lbs makes.
