Good morning all! Hope everyone is still on track as we move through May. My whinge last week about not hitting the arbitrary bottom of my healthy buffer seems to have worked and I have been 9st 7lbs for the past two days 😂. Lightest I’ve ever been in memory. Moving down to 2.5mg today as part of the plan to come off it over the next few weeks.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 20/05/2026 09:15

Well done on your loss @Coventree !

I am down a lb this week. I have gone up a dose to 12.5 but split dosing 6.25 twice a week to avoid my levels going too high.

I've got just over half a stone to lose and I'll go back down to 10, and then my plan is to reverse diet and then titrate down doses. I'd like to stop altogether but I understand not everyone can without significant regain, so I'll see how it goes.

I'd be interested to know how everyone in maintenance is getting along? How is your titration, food noise, and weight fluctuations. Did being on maintenance affect your chosen target weight?

Hi @Coffeeandallthebooks- I have been maintaining since 9th Jan on 2.5mg per week. I never went higher than 6.5mg. I reduced to 2mg last week and didn’t notice a difference. This week was “golden dose” week and I did the whole 2.5mg without thinking 🙄 Will try 2 again next week.

I lowered my target from 8st 10 to 8st 7 in April (21.5 BMI to 21.0), this gives me a little more confidence that regain won't sneak up on me. I also think I look better 😉

Food noise & hunger not a problem at the moment. I still have to keep a careful eye on what I eat, and will do for life as I don’t want to get fat again! Tend to eat very frugally during the week (similar levels to during the weight loss phase) and then allow myself a little more leeway at weekends. I still weigh myself every day.

I run 2/3 times a week, do yoga/pilates 4x and body pump (heavy & normal) 3x. My car knows the way to the gym!

My total loss was 4st and I’m 62 years young.

Well done on your loss and well done @Coventree too! x

eta - weight fluctuations so far are mild. Maybe 1lb - 1.5lbs per week.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 20/05/2026 20:23

Thank you @AbundanceofKatherines for your post!
I honestly never thought I'd get close to my goal, so I have found myself a bit unprepared. Hearing other people's experience really helps x

Zebracat · 23/05/2026 08:04

Good morning. 78.5 this morning. I was 79.4 2 weeks ago, and although I did dip down to 78, I’ve been away and then come home with a really nasty bout of sinusitis, and my body craved sugar. I’m so pleased that I am losing weight again. I just picked up my last 15 pen. If I get a good loss with it, I’ll go down to 12.5 and so on. I’m thinking that not being quite at goal may stop me getting too sloppy with healthy eating. But if I stall, I will have the option to go back up.. This threads not very busy any more, but I like to use it to record my weight. I feel like I’ll be the last woman standing, but never mind.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 23/05/2026 09:48

I'm still with you needing to lose more and not quite at maintenance yet @Zebracat !
Well done for getting over your plateau, especially when you've been ill. I hope you keep going onwards and downwards!

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 23/05/2026 21:03

I'm still here, there's just never enough hours in the day to read all the internets. As of this morning I am less than 5lbs away from my goal and looking forward to being done with the losing part and hoping I can maintain it and not immediately gain it all back

Hawkmoth · 24/05/2026 09:43

Hello everyone, just checking in. This morning hit the 50kg lost. Really happy with that!

Still about 14kg to go... Ish. Loss has slowed down, but that's ok - my brain still needs to catch up.

Coventree · 24/05/2026 11:07

Great progress everyone 👏. Hope you’re all having happy, healthy Bank Holiday weekends

Stasis26 · 24/05/2026 17:35

Happy bank holiday weekend everyone! Well done @Hawkmoth@slightlysmallerPoisonIvy@Coffeeandallthebooks@Zebracat@AbundanceofKatherines@Coventree@dozywelshbird@StartingApril2025@Merlin23 and also anyone who hasn’t posted in a while but still checks in from time to time.

@Zebracat your post gave me pause, we’ve all had amazing support, albeit anonymous, on these threads and it’s hard now the chat has died down, many at goal and generally less conversation, but i do think there are quite a few of us still around and still on a new learning curve around the final stage of losing or how to maintain and I for one will keep on checking in as I still can’t quite believe at times the absolute life changing year and a bit I’ve had since starting this thread. Please drop me a private message if you need a chat. You are not the last woman standing I promise xx

Back from a fantastic holiday! A couple of days ago I did 34000 steps around Victoria in Canada. Scales in the morning, then I will decide my dose for this week.

Stasis26 · 24/05/2026 18:15

Wow well done @Merlin23and how fantastic that you’ve been able to enjoy this holiday of a lifetime and family celebration to its full, not feeling uncomfortable. Whether or not you’ve gained a few pounds on your trip is not important, you know you can be back on track in no time.

So true!
First holiday i haven't run from the camera!
It was so nice to feel some confidence and not feel like I was the unhealthy, unfit person.
One of the days on the ship I walked up the stairs along the deck then up the stairs along the deck etc. From deck 5 to deck 15.

wendywoopywoo222 · 24/05/2026 20:05

You definatly aren’t the last woman standing. I still have over a stone to get to target. I did have 11 pounds to go but then had a week all inclusive in Kos. Ooops. Didn’t really overeat quantity wisebut ate much more calorie laden food than I generally do. No regrets as I loved every mouthful. I also visited the gym, did some early morning runs, went in the swimming pool, danced all evening, was comfortable in the plane, didn’t order en extra seat due to the worry of seat sizes and wasn’t embarrassed to have a second visit to the buffet. All things I haven’t done in he last twenty years.

i bloody love montjaro. Nine ish stone down and it really has changed my life. Take care and keep chatting. 🥰

Coventree · 24/05/2026 20:10

Sounds fab hols @wendywoopywoo222 and @Merlin23!

I think there’s a few of us left around either still on the journey or maintaining, but when there’s less questions to ask or new experiences to compare now we’re all schooled in the ‘Mounjaro way of life’, there’s naturally less chatter!

Merlin23 · 25/05/2026 08:24

Scales were kind!
Only 2lbs on which is still under my buffer.
I was worried about 18 days away in the USA and half of that on a cruise. I avoided the buffet as much as possible and we went for sit down meals which really helped to stop the binging. When we did stop by the buffet I was sensible and ate veg and protein while my family gorged on pizza, pasta and ice-cream.

Happy with how I feel so I took 4mg this morning and will now start to wean off one click at a time

dozywelshbird · 25/05/2026 10:57

Yes, definitely not on your own @Zebracat I am looking at maybe another half stone as a buffer although I am now technically in Healthy BMI (23.9) but I'll be hanging around for a while as I am a slooowwwwww loser 🤣

Well done on the losses and the very small holiday gains.

Has anyone had one of the new pens yet and tried to extract the golden dose? Can it be done? I think the pen that's on it's way to me is a new one, so any tips gratefully received 😁

Have a wonderful bank holiday all 😎

Zebracat · 25/05/2026 12:52

Thanks for the companionship, people.
Technical question - I was going to use the golden dose today, but the pen gave me about 13 clicks so I used that, there’s still an obvious golden dose in there. I want to try splitting , so make do with whatever 13 clicks is and then golden dose on Friday. Does that sound ok ? . I’m going to a wedding tomorrow and don’t want to maybe overdose and be nauseous..

Scousebloke · 25/05/2026 13:19

Hi all, i see a few people checking in that have not for a while so thought i would follow suit.
Im very lucky that i am still getting a 5mg pen once a month via the NHS. Been maintaining on that since around christmas with a loss of just over 4 stone and a bmi of around 26. Ive been on holiday abroad 3 times so far in 2026 and managed not to sabotage my hard work.
I did lots of walking and sightseeing in India, managed to stay sensible food and drink wise in Benidorm and best of all i had 8 days in Marakesh and used the hotel gym 4 times to keep up my strength/resistance training ive been doing for the last 3 months, before which my exercise was mainly cardio via a treadmill. Everyone on this thread seems to have done well, so of you have done amazingly well. The 13 months or so we have been on the jabs has flown by and changed our lives for the better.

dozywelshbird · 25/05/2026 15:56

Well done on the maintenance @Scousebloke

@Zebracat I have a chart that shows dose per click per pen and it looks like 13clicks of a 15mg pen is about 3.25mg... hope that helps with your decision 😁

dozywelshbird · 25/05/2026 15:58

Here is the chart...

Late April ‘25 starters - thread 6
Scousebloke · 25/05/2026 16:44

Ive been told that anything woth an expiry date of March 27 or earlier will be old style pens with a golden dose. Any with an expiry date of May 27 or later will be the new style pen. April 27 might be hit or miss which makes sense as that will be about 12 months on from the official introduction of the new pens i.e. April 26.

Zebracat · 25/05/2026 20:34

Thanks so much @dozywelshbird . That’s really helpful. I think I’ll use the rest on Wednsday then, as that’s not much.

StartingApril2025 · 26/05/2026 14:12

Hello everyone!! @Merlin23 @Zebracat @Scousebloke @dozywelshbird @Coventree @Stasis26 @AbundanceofKatherines @slightlysmallerPoisonIvy
i still check this every few days and follow along on everyone’s progress. I’m super impressed with those of you who have managed holidays without sabotage, I am home from 9days all inclusive hotel and stepped on the scales this morning and I am 7lbs heavier , can’t believe that! Well actually I can, I ate and drank everything in sight, 3 course dinners every night, big breakfasts etc and more alcohol than I’ve drank in the last year in those 9days . Enjoyed myself however definitely feeling the sluggish and blaotedness. Back to basics now and hopefully I can lose this again in next month or so. I am on 2.5mg and hoped this was my last pen but not so sure now.
on the plus like many of you I felt much more confident in my clothes, wasn’t scared on photos or hiding from the camera and overall a great time. What a year it’s been, so glad I made this decision a year ago. Hope everyone enjoying the warm weather and sunshine !

BudgieMom · 26/05/2026 18:00

Hi everyone week 56 and it was 1 off so still bouncing around my target for the last 3 weeks which I'm happy with. Maintaining is a whole new game trying to get the balance of calories right its strange not being in the losing mindset! Good to see lots of us are still around its nice to have support from people on the same journey. Hope everyone is enjoying this fabulous weather even up here in Scotland its jackets off 🤣☀️🥵
