@BudgieMom I hope you get better responses from Pharmulous than I did….firstly the chap welcomed me to ‘Oushk’ maintenance- he explained he recently changed jobs, no problem really. On saying I had 0.5kg to lose to get to goal, he suggested I go up a dose to speed my loss up! He worked out my BMI and said as it was at 21, I could lose more if I wanted to.

It really was a waste of time and money. But I have stayed with them as they are one of the best for maintenance.

BudgieMom · 04/05/2026 21:11

Thanks I might hold out on a call the now @Nearlyhadenough and try wing it myself dont want to waste 20quid for nothing

dozywelshbird · 04/05/2026 21:32

@Zebracat that's very frustrating... How far away from goal are you? What dose are you on and would you consider moving up? Is that weight a previous set point for you?

Hope you get some movement soon 🤞

Merlin23 · 04/05/2026 22:04

@Zebracat
Can you up your dose by 1mg? It might make the difference.

Zebracat · 05/05/2026 15:09

Thank you people. I’m on 15, so can’t go above it. I think it’s partly that I have got a bit sloppy, I will have an ice cream if other people are etc, and partly that I need less for my smaller body, but haven’t adjusted my calories.
I’ve got a bit stricter with myself, and did hit 79.6 this morning, just got to carry on really. I don’t know if this is a set point for me, because I dont know when I was last hovering around 80. Kilos, probably in the 1990s. I think I need to lose 9 kilos to get to a healthy bmi, so I’m not aiming too low. I am a bit crap though, just been out for lunch and the cakes looked nice, so I had one instead of a savoury, which is not really sensible behaviour for someone spending £315.00 per month on mounjaro. Salad for tea .

You've got this.
At least your being honest. I tend to share desserts when out. Or take half home for the next day.
It is definitely getting harder to say no, I don't want to miss out. I have to compromise with myself. My husband doesn't help he just tells me it's fine but he's never been overweight, and can eat anything.

Merlin23 · 06/05/2026 14:26

Got on the scales this morning and I am back down to my lowest. 117lbs. So happy as we head to the airport tonight.
I now have some wriggle room!

Stasis26 · 06/05/2026 22:13

Well done @Merlin23wishing you a fabulous time celebrating your son’s graduation! Have you shared your outfit here? My memory is rubbish as too much going on right now but would love to hear about it (or see!) enjoy being your goal weight for this event and feeling confident for all the photos ❤️

@Nearlyhadenough lol at the Pharmulous person saying hello Oushk! I guess it’s a growing market and they poach staff from one another 😂 however the advice is less forgivable. I do think many of us on here genuinely have more understanding than a lot of the (non medical) staff at these companies. And also they are bound by both the prescribing rules and also at some companies undoubtedly an upsell pressure.

I will put some photos up after his graduation. I had a jacket but at 26°C, I've left it at home. Hot in the middle of the USA
Lots of fleece for Alaska.

Zebracat · 09/05/2026 08:25

Good morning. 79.4 today so finally the scales have moved. I’ve got a busy day planned, painting my back door and gardening. Just got to try to keep that downward momentum.

AbundanceofKatherines · 10/05/2026 08:59

Great news @Zebracat! Enjoy your day 😁

PumpKim · 10/05/2026 10:02

Morning all 👋
Weekly check in and it's 1lb off. Actual weight yesterday and today is 2lb off but I take my weekly average and the beginning of the week has pushed me up 🤣

Second week of my increased dose to 10mg and it's definitely improved things. Onwards and downwards 🎉

wendywoopywoo222 · 10/05/2026 11:39

7 stone 7 off 😁 and within a stone of target. Huge well done to all of us. Have added loads of exercise which is really helping. Off to Kos next week and have packed gym kit. (Might even use it). 🤭

@wendywoopywoo222 that is absolutely amazing, well done!!

Have a fabulous time in Kos, we went there in 2024 and it is beautiful. There are amazing historical sites and lovely beaches, you will have a wonderful holiday!

Merlin23 · 10/05/2026 15:08

@wendywoopywoo222 Well done! Enjoy Kos and the gym. I have packed gym gear ready for the cruise .

We had a lovely day yesterday at my son's graduation. Here is a photo of me in my unrecognisable body.

Went to Walmart yesterday and was looking at size 4-6 clothes as USA are 2 sizes smaller than us! I used to look for a 16-18 and feel good never thought it would be a 4-6.

Well done everyone!

We are smashing our goals!

StartingApril2025 · 13/05/2026 08:59

@Merlin23 you look incredible! Well done, enjoy your cruise.
i too am off on holidays next week to all inclusive hotel in Spain, finding it harder and harder to resist the treats these days so this will be interesting holiday, will wait a few days after I am home before I weigh.
my calories are definitely higher now most days and I always want a wee bar of chocolate in the day and evening!! Once I get back from holidays I will need to have a word with myself and exercise some more willpower!

Coffeeandallthebooks · 13/05/2026 17:06

Looking good @Merlin23 and congratulations to your son, you must be so proud of him!

@StartingApril2025 good luck on holiday, all inclusive is really tricky but you've done this for over a year and even if you put on a wee bit of weight it will be off in no time!

I lost 2 this week to take me to 10 3, and then had sandwich, cake, and coffee with my mum and sister, which probably does not bode well for next week.
But I had a great NSV- I tried on some size 12 trousers in Peacocks and they fitted, even after cake! I am so chuffed

Coventree · 14/05/2026 06:55

Well done everyone for keeping on track 👏. Sounds like you had/are having a great time @Merlin23. Amazing losses/NSVs @wendywoopywoo222, @PumpKim, and @Coffeeandallthebooks. Glad you shifted down @Zebracat, and have a great time for those of you off on your hols.

I’m still happily in my healthy buffer, although I’ve never reached the arbitrary bottom of it (9st 7lbs) which is annoying me very slightly 🤣. In the middle of a tough few weeks work-wise with travelling, hotel stays, event lunches, presenting stresses, etc which makes healthy choices more challenging…but even when I’ve thought “F it, I’m shattered so I’ll allow myself to eat whatever I want tonight”, I’m still drawn to the Greek salads/soul bowl type of options on menus. Have been on 7.5mg for the last few months, but took a 5mg dose yesterday with the aim of coming down and off.

dozywelshbird · 15/05/2026 13:53

Wow, well done everyone and good luck to those off on holiday soon, hope you manage the extra food, drinks and treats successfully 😁

Some of the photos posted recently are awesome 🥂

I can't remember when I last updated but 149lbs (10st 9 in old money) today, same as last week, so 55lbs in total. Bmi is 24, I think I want to get to 10st but I feel it's getting so much harder, I'm on 7.5 and don't really want to increase due to cost.

Anyway, it's my birthday today and will be indulging in cake and fizz and slap up pub meal today and tomorrow, so very much doubt the scales will move next week. Hey ho, life is for living 😁

Happy Friday everyone

Coventree · 15/05/2026 20:53

Happy birthday @dozywelshbird 🎉🎉🎉. How different is this year to last 😁

dozywelshbird · 15/05/2026 20:56

Thanks @Coventree omg, yes, so different to a year ago 😲

Zebracat · 16/05/2026 10:35

Happy Birthday @dozywelshbird . Hope you get through the tough times @Coventree . I can’t weigh today as I am away with no scales. But I was 78 kilos on Thursday, so that was a loss of 1.4 kilos. The mounjaro seems to have suddenly started working after months of very little loss. Think it may be because I’ve stopped taking cocodamol. However I seem to be mainly eating ice cream and cake down here at the seaside. Home tomorrow and back to normality.

dozywelshbird · 16/05/2026 13:34

Fab loss @Zebracat especially considering it's been cake and ice cream 😁

Official weigh in today, I nearly didn't bother as lots of food and 4 glasses of wine yesterday, but glad I did as 1lb off, so that was an extra birthday gift. Bmi is now 23.9 😁

Stasis26 · 17/05/2026 09:14
