Thanks for the memories @Stasis26! And fab photos @Coventreeand @wendywoopywoo222❤️

It’s my 1 year anniversary today and what a year it’s been! I’m so glad I jumped on this bus with all of you wonderful people.

SW 12st 7.5
CW 8st 5.7

I’ve been in maintenance for 3 months and 16 days and have stayed in range for the whole time (this is according to Shotsy). I gained about 5 lbs Jan-Mar so had a word with myself and have lost it all in April - just going back to being very strict with eating (and wine) during the week. I am still taking 2.5mg weekly and hope to start reducing the dose from next week (by counting clicks). I am with Swift Dr on their maintenance plan and have my current pen (1st dose used) plus 2 unused.

What a difference a year makes! Love to you all x

dozywelshbird · 24/04/2026 10:12

Thanks for the advice @Stasis26 and @PeachSnail I will do a bit of reading around.

1lb off this week taking me to 54lbs lost in total.

MJ anniversary is Tues but I'll log today's weight as it's my wedding anniversary this weekend so out for a slap up meal and some champagne 🍾 actually looking forward to having a choice of outfits to wear and feel great in on Saturday 😁

SW 204lb
CW 150lb
GW tbd

Well done everyone, I'm not brave enough to post a photo, but they are powerful reminders of how far you've come!

Have a great day all, enjoy this glorious sunshine 😁

StartingApril2025 · 24/04/2026 10:51

Ah Congratulations everyone, so nice to see the updates one year on!! What a year!
im not brave enough to post a photo but my 1 year anniversary today and weighed in.

start weight 15stone 6
current weight 10.13lbs
total loss 4.5 stone

Have sat at around 11stone, pound or two under/ over for last 6 months and I now take 2.5mg every 9 days, soon to reduce that a bit more.

Merlin23 · 24/04/2026 11:15

One year on from my jab!
SW 202lbs
CW 120lbs
Lowest weight 117lbs

I never envisaged losing this much and buying size 8-10 clothes. I was aiming to wear a 12-14.
I love where I am now but realistically I am not ready to ditch the jabs. I am trying to tritate down but on 3mg I've put 3lbs on. I have gone back to 4.5mg and I am going to go down 2 clicks at a time.

My son graduates in just over 2 weeks in the USA. I never dreamed my outfit would be a size 8.
I am so much fitter and healthier.

I love this group! I didn't find it until August. I wish I had found you sooner.

WELL DONE EVERYONE!
💪

AbundanceofKatherines · 25/04/2026 08:47

I thought I’d also update on the 1 year mark with some non scale health related benefits.

Significantly fewer migraines
Ditto cold sores
No piles flare ups (hang over from pregnancy/childbirth)
No heartburn (this was constant a year ago)
Gums don’t bleed when flossing
No aches & pains (used to be awful first thing)
Blood pressure reduced by 15 - very healthy range now
Resting heart rate 59 to 54
VO2 max 25 to 33
Cardio recovery 19 to 28
Body fat % ? (definitely over 40, only started measuring in October at 38%) to 28
Muscle % 24 to 28 (again, October start)
Waist 42” to 27”
Nails much stronger - no flaking
Skin much brighter

Happiness increase - immeasurable!

(we won’t mention the melted candle midriff - a small price to pay 🫣)

eta - I’m 62 in just over a week so the VO2 max is pretty impressive 😊

Zebracat · 25/04/2026 10:28

80.1 today having been under 80 all week hmm.
its my one year anniversary today too. I think my starting weight was 106.9, so I’ve lost around 26 kilos. I have some mixed feelings, it’s been quite slow going for me, compared to others, and I’m still around 9 kilos away from a healthy bmi.
But I look pretty good, wearing clothes from 12-16( big boobies), and I’ve increased muscle and fitness. I started this for my health. I had chronic and severe back pain, walking was agony. Losing weight was all about fixing that. It’s certainly better, but could be better still if I start some strength training and yoga. I don’t need a stick any more and can walk much further, although I’m not pain free. I guess I feel a bit disappointed in myself that I wasn’t stricter and made more of this chance.
I have a monthly in person appointment with a pharmacist, she thinks that my current weight is right for my large frame, and has said I can just stop. I’m not doing that, I want that 24.9 bmi!, but I think I will change provider, to one with a maintenance focus.
i feel better in myself, more energy and stamina, less mood swings more disciplined . I have a good understanding of my nutritional needs now, and I don’t think gluttony will ever be appealing. I’ve always eaten well, just too much and too many “treats”. I still love a bit of good chocolate, or a slice of home made cake, but I find it easy to turn down low quality food.
I’m so grateful to you lot , and to the people on the 5 stone to lose thread. You’ve been so kind, supportive and well informed. I would have been lost without you.

Crunchymum · 26/04/2026 08:40

Hello all,

I'm officially joining the one year crew today!

What a journey.

My Friday weight was 118lbs. So I lost -1lb last week. Although I'm actually not looking to lose anymore. I'm going to finish this pen (I stupidly ordered 12.5mg as opposed to 10mg and as it was the same price I didn't notice. I must have clicked the "move up to the next dose" as opposed to "I'm happy with current dose").

Anyway let's start with my stats.
SW: 187.5lbs on 26th April 2025. Was wearing a size 18/20.
CW: 118lbs on 24th April 2026. Currently wearing a size 10/12 (although still making use of some size 14 tops even though it they are clearly too large but oversized is in right?)
Total lost: 69.5lbs. I am 0.5lbs shy of losing 5 stone

I cannot believe how different my life is in just a short year. My brain is slowly catching up and I'm starting to feel a quiet confidence and peace? When I was large I just wanted to be unseen and fade away and I'd use clothes to "help" me do this. Leggings, large vest covering my bum and baggy tops were my go to hiding clothes and now I'm so happy I can just go to the wardrobe, put something on and feel happy with how I look. I'm hardly turning cartwheels in a bikini but I don't feel the need to hide now. I am slowing building up a new wardrobe and swapping out black, baggy stuff for more colourful and fitted things. I bought a size 10 dress the other day.

Things I wish I'd done differently:

I wish I'd incorporated exercise / strength training to begin with. Although having arthritis means lots of exercise is out for me. I'm still just relying on walking 10k steps so I'm pretty saggy in some areas. I need to invest in some weights?

I wish I'd taken a collagen supplement and invested in a better body skin care routine.

Plan going forwards:

Tritate down to a maintenance dose that works and move to a supplier who specialises in maintenance

Work on strength training and skincare.

Invest in some decent swimwear

Enjoy my new body!!!

Sorry for the essay. This group has been a Godsend for me as I've not had the easiest journey and I appreciate having a safe space to moan and rant but ultimately to celebrate. I've done something I never dreamed possible 365 days ago and I will carry this achievement with me proudly.

Congratulations to us all 🎊

We are bloody epic.

PumpKim · 26/04/2026 08:57

My usual Sunday check in. It's lovely to read how far we've all come in the last year.

No weight change for me this week but a couple of NSVs
I have put my wedding and engagement rings back on for the first time in about three years, after removing them because my fingers had turned into giant sausages and I was in danger of stopping circulation. I didn't think it was as important to me as it's actually turned out to be 🥰

And secondly I bought size 12 River Island jeans yesterday. RI was one of those shops I just stopped looking in altogether, as it felt like it just wasn't for me as an overweight 40+ woman but after a disastrous M&S try on (what is going on with their sizing!?) I popped in for a look and was pleasantly surprised at their choice and range of sizes.

I've ordered 10mg for my next pen. Hoping going up a dose will give me a boost to get back to more consistent losses.

Coventree · 26/04/2026 10:03

Loving all these one year updates 🥰 - what an amazing group to be part of xx

Zebracat · 26/04/2026 11:21

@Crunchymum 118 pounds, please please tell me you are 4 ft 8. ☺️

Crunchymum · 26/04/2026 11:25

Zebracat · 26/04/2026 11:21

@Crunchymum 118 pounds, please please tell me you are 4 ft 8. ☺️

Close.

5ft 1in and BMI is 22.3 now. Wanted a bit of wriggle room for maintenance but won't be losing any more.

Zebracat · 26/04/2026 11:57

Thanks, hope I didn’t sound nasty, I’m 5ft 7, and very jealous of your bmi.

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 26/04/2026 17:54

Huge congrats and well dones to everyone for all the amazing losses and nsvs. I can't believe it's been a whole year (almost, my jabbiversary is next week) We are all so much smaller and healthier than a year ago!
Reading some of those first posts again is fun, we were all MJ babies trying to figure it all out and now we are experts advising others and making up our own dosing schedules and breaking all the rules we were so careful about. And reading everyone's updates and health improvements a year on is making me quite emotional. I still often wonder about the many people we lost along the way, if any of you are lurking it'd be lovely to hear from you!

I know there are others who have also not reached their goal weight yet... we are still a work in progress! The scale number is not the only measure of our success but that is the one we tend to fixate on, even more so when it's not moving in the direction we want or at the speed we want. All the nsvs and the waist measurements and the smaller clothes and the increased mobility and the improved health and the not hating what you see in the mirror and the self confidence and the not feeling like you are taking up too much space in the world and the being able to run with your kids and so many many more things that have been mentioned throughout this past year... these are the truly life changing things that we have all achieved.

I hit one of my big goals yesterday. I got up off the floor with ease. I've been working on that for a while and it's been getting easier but yesterday during my workout I got up off the floor and moved on to the next exercise and I didn't stop to think about it first or brace for pain or have to pause to catch my breath halfway up or stop for a break once I was up. Just the getting off the floor part used to be a whole workout by itself but yesterday I just... did it, and then started the next exercise and then paused in the middle of that for a second to be like... huh?!... wtf?!... did I just do that?!
Not having to worry anymore about getting stuck on the floor feels like a way bigger thing than hitting some arbitrary number I am aiming for on the scales.

Wherever you are in your journey, maintaining or still losing or stuck and frustrated but still trying, we have all come so far and done so well and I hope you are all as proud of yourselves as I am of you 😘

Crunchymum · 26/04/2026 19:00

Zebracat · 26/04/2026 11:57

Thanks, hope I didn’t sound nasty, I’m 5ft 7, and very jealous of your bmi.

Oh goodness, I didn't take any offence. In fact I usually put my height in as I know my CW is quite low.

Merlin23 · 26/04/2026 19:16

@Crunchymum We are the same. Ive always said 5ft 2in but I'm probably 5ft 1in
I am also now 118lbs
Feels so good!

violetmondays · 26/04/2026 22:45

Wow - reading everyone’s updates has got me feeling quite emotional. Everyone has done/is doing amazingly and what a difference it is making to our lives.

Haven’t posted for a while but I’m joining the 1 year club today! I’ve been maintaining on 3.75 since November when I reached my target of 10 stone but have been maintaining at around 9.5 stone (give or take an extra few pounds after Christmas).

SW: 13 stone 9
CW: 9 stone 7
Total lost: just over 4 stone
Currently wearing a size 8-10.
BMI: 22

Non-scale benefits:
Come off blood pressure tablets to see if I don’t need them any more
No more swollen ankles which was something that was really upsetting me
Can run for the bus without feeling like I’m going to die

I’m going to stay on a maintenance dose for the foreseeable future as I don’t feel fully confident that my body won’t try to sabotage itself when I stop!

It’s been great having this group for support 💜

Nearlyhadenough · 28/04/2026 13:08

It’s my mounjaroversie!

Yesterday I got to my goal weight - 5 stones gone!
SW 14s 5
CW 9s 3

I can’t believe that it’s real, I never imagined I would lose anything like I have. It’s definitely not been easy at times, but I am so glad that I started.

I’ve had a maintenance call with Pharmulous and have a vague plan on where I’m heading. Their plan is great and I would recommend them - even if the chap I spoke to tried to get me to go up to 7.5mg to lose my last half a kilo and said I could still lose more as my BMI was 21 at the time! (I did not go up….)

This group has kept me going and your support has been invaluable. Well done to each and every one of you, at target or still losing.

Coffeeandallthebooks · 29/04/2026 08:23

My Monjaversary is today! I'm so glad I started here and didn't join the May board, you are all such lovely, amazing and supportive people!

Yesterday I weighed in at 10 stone 5. This is a BMI of 24.9. This time last year I was 15 stone 3lbs, and I'd lost only a stone in 4 months dieting since January.

I also have been signed off by neurology from the autoimmune condition I suffered from. 12 years of really poor health, but my MRI last June showed no inflammation.

I am so much more healthy, happy and grateful. Comparison pic below to show the difference it makes 😁

Its my Mounjaversary!! 🥳🎊🎉🍾 4st 2lbs gone thanks to MJ 6st 5 in total 😍 I have been lucky on this journey that I haven't suffered many side effects bar a dry mouth and occasional headaches. It really is a life changing medication and hopefully in the future it will be more available on the NHS for people who cant afford it. Well done to you all on your incredible results and Happy Mounjaversary to you all ❤️

Coventree · 30/04/2026 19:32

Well done each and every one of us 👏. Have loved reading all the stories. Here’s to the next year of losing where the journey continues or maintaining where the journey has reached its destination 🌟

Zebracat · 02/05/2026 10:06

80.1 again. Fed up now.

Merlin23 · 03/05/2026 21:04

Going away from Wednesday! We are away for 18 nights.
USA for my son's graduation. Then up to Seattle to go on a cruise to Alaska.
So excited but worried about all the temptations.
I'm hoping I can relax but I know that will be when I'll go back to old habits.
I am going to take 4.5mg before we head to the airport, then take another 4.5mg whilst away. Then I'll see where I am when I get back. If I have maintained I'll start going down 1 click at a time if I put on I'll go up to 5mg for a week and go from there.

It is so good to see where I am now from this time last year but I can't relax around food. Especially American food!

80.1 again. Fed up now.

so sorry to hear this @Zebracat😔 what dose are you on? Xx

AbundanceofKatherines · 04/05/2026 07:37

Have a great time @Merlin23! Try not to stress about the food - you’ll be eating so much less than a year ago and making all the right choices. You’ve got this 💪

BudgieMom · 04/05/2026 11:34

Week 53 update and its 2.5lbs off! Thats 4st 5lb off on MJ and 6st 7.5lbs off in total 😍 Ive reached the target I set but wouldn't complain about another 2/3lbs off so I need to start thinking about a maintenance plan. I'm with pharmulous so will arrange a call with Dr Mel who runs it and see what she thinks is best on the next steps. Hope everyone has a great week 😊
