80.8 today. I have an intercostal muscle strain so can’t do much, and that has affected my bowel habits( sorry, but …). I’m not concerned, my eating is fine. I’m on 15 mg, and want to stay on it until at a normal bmi, think I need to lose another 8 or 9 kilos. Then I will address maintenance.

slightlysmallerPoisonIvy · 11/04/2026 23:42

@AbundanceofKatherines wow congrats on the half marathon! and yay for hair growing!

@Crunchymum Fab loss and congrats on hitting your goal weight!

@Seahawk80 maintaining through stress and holidays is difficult, well done! congrats on the PB!

@BudgieMom Excellent loss well done!!

@Coventree 3lbs is a big loss at your tiny size! well done!

@StartingApril2025 maintaining for 5 months is impressive and gives me some much needed hope, well done!

well done everyone on all the great losses and nsvs and maintaining, we've all come so far in the past year and I am so very proud of us all!!

Stasis26 · 12/04/2026 11:05

Well done on being so active @wendywoopywoo222 and @Seahawk80I’ve moved a lot more over the school holidays than normal but nothing like you! I’m so impressed at the half marathon @AbundanceofKatherines 👏

well done on the recent losses @Coventreeand @dozywelshbirdcongrats on the healthy bmi!!

@Crunchymumthe one big change I’ve made in what I wear is that I buy much shorter tops or tuck them in instead of always looking for something long to attempt to hide my belly and bum. Exactly as @Merlin23has said too! That’s something I never did even when younger and slim. Realised what a difference it makes to my shape - other than that I just wear the same basics 90% of the time, jeans, T-shirts and jumpers, just in 10/12 instead of an 18!

@StartingApril2025focusing on how far we’ve come in a year is really important. I’ve also stayed the same since December now, but we are in such a better place to be able to know the main focus is now health and strength as we’ve conquered the obesity!

@Zebracathope you're not too sore and @slightlysmallerPoisonIvywell said! We are all days or weeks away from our mounjaro anniversaries and need to focus on being proud of all the achievements of the past year.

Hi everyone - check-in from me... As duly expected my weight has crept up to ~68kg again! But I'm fine with that... I think this must be where my body is comfortable being and my aim is to maintain at around this point.

NSV - I did Parkrun at the weekend and got a massive PB! Never thought I'd ever be able to run this fast... It feels good as it's enjoyable too. I really do love feeling fitter - it feels like having a super power after spending so long struggling to run up hills (I live in a hilly area!)

I'm with you @Stasis26 and @Merlin23with the tucked in t-shirts and high waisted jeans. I was never able to wear that look before and now it's what I live in! So nice to have some kind of waist.

My mounjaro-versary will be next week on 22nd. I can remember feeling so anxious and hopeful... I really was at the end of my tether with my weight... And so worried about this leading to poor health (primarily early onset Alzheimer's, that my mum died of). I can definitely say it's all been worth it.
I'm tapering down now (2.33mg every 10 days) so I'm feeling the hunger and temptation creep back in, but I'm able to keep it in check at the moment. I think I'm going to need to keep up the Monday morning weigh-ins for good now... No more hiding from numbers I don't want to see. Just keeping things steady and on-track 💪🏻😊

BudgieMom · 13/04/2026 11:40

Week 50 update and its 0.5lb off 😊 cant believe we are all coming up to our Mounjaversaries! 2 more pounds to target hopefully I can do it in the next 2 weeks if not I'm not too bothered. Well done everyone on the great losses and nsvs and hope you all have an awesome week 😊

wendywoopywoo222 · 13/04/2026 13:08

well done on your pb @PeachSnail. I missed parkrun this week but still did a run on holiday in Cornwall. Just finished week 2 of couch 25k.

Eleven days until my yearaversary and I have 1 pound to go to get into the overweight BMI
Having been obese for over 40 years this is very exciting for me.

well done to everyone else 🥂

Coventree · 15/04/2026 22:31

Ohhhhhh @wendywoopywoo222 fingers crossed that 1lb is gone any day now and ‘obese’ will soon just be a distant memory 🤞

It’s still another week on Saturday until my year anniversary, but well done to all of us for changing our lives so unbelievably since this time last year - every lb lost really matters in improving our health and we’ve lost shed loads between us 👏👏👏

Scousebloke · 17/04/2026 11:15

Its my 1 year anniversary of taking mounjaro in 3 days time so i thought i would check in here.
I started out at 18 stone 6lb as a 6ft 1" male that was a bmi of around 35.
I managed to get a prescription via the nhs with month 1 of 2.5mg and then 5mg ever since.
I set myself a weight loss target of losing 4 stone which i reached a couple of weeks before christmas.
My diabetic bloods have been in the normal range on the 2 occasions its been checked since i started mj where as before i had been in the pre diabetic range for well over a decade and then about a year in the diabetic range.
I realise i am very fortunte to still be getting a prescription on the nhs.
I intentionally upped my calorie intake when i hit my goal weight of 14 stone 6lb and have since lost a further 4lb giving me a current weight of 14 stone 2lb and a bmi of around 26.
I am truly delighted with the way its gone, been life changing for me.
Having read the last few pages im certainly not alone in that, well done and congratulations to everyone who has reached goal or still losing. Thanks to all who accepted having a man on this page, it was a great help and much appreciated.

Crunchymum · 18/04/2026 08:06

Congratulations @Scousebloke 🎊

What a lovely read!! I'm glad to hear that the NHS have actually been able to give you what you needed and continue to do so.

I dread to think what I've paid over the past year but realistically it's been worth every single penny!! I'm at goal weight now myself and my anniversary is next week.

I'll be looking to titrate back down to a lower dose in the coming months and am hoping to also undertake some therapy as I'm unfortunately MJ hasn't worked so well on the reasons and motivations for my messed up relationship with food. I've fixed the symptom (being obese!) but not the cause.

After gaining 1.5lbs last week, I'm -2lbs this week (so it was period related) and I'm 119lbs.

Life is unbelievably different to this time last year. I never, ever thought I'd be slim and healthy again.

Zebracat · 18/04/2026 09:37

Good Morning, lovely to hear from @Scousebloke . This has been a very supportive group.
I’m not the most organised person, but I have recorded my weight here just about every Saturday, and it has been so helpful to look back, check my weight and thoughts about that weight. I’ve been feeling quite frustrated about my current plateau- I’m 80.4 today, the 6th week of not getting under 80 kilos. But last week I was 80.8 and unable to exercise much. I’ve lost 0.4 kilo, or a whole pound, my muscle strain is healing and I’m back in the pool and the garden. If I carry on like this, next week could be the week, so no more carping from me about spending £315.00 in order to lose a pound. I think it’s my anniversary next Saturday, you can all come round mine for some water and healthy snacks!

Scousebloke · 18/04/2026 10:28

Thankyou @Zebracat and @Crunchymum. We will all be hitting our 1 year anniversary in the next week or 2 so i am gonna stick around and see how everyone has done.

PumpKim · 19/04/2026 10:18

Can't believe it's our 1 year anniversary. My first jab was 30 April so only just squeezed in with you lot but I'm glad I did, you're all so supportive 🥰

I'll be honest I thought I would have ended my journey by now and been at healthy weight, it's been harder than I thought, but almost 3.5 stones lighter than this time last year is not to be sniffed at.

Still plodding along, stayed the same last week, but 2lb off this week . Another 12.5 to go to get into healthy, but I'm aiming for at another 1 to 1.5 stones to give me some wiggle room within the healthy range.

Well done everyone on the most amazing 12 months 👏

Stasis26 · 19/04/2026 11:16

Happy Mounjaroversary week for many of us! I haven’t eaten as healthily this week due to some stressful stuff going on, but even so I still seem to be maintaining with relative ease on 2.5 (and had skipped almost a week for a holiday the previous week so levels have been much lower). I just don’t snack and even when I eat pizza for several meals in a week it’s never actually all that many slices at a time.

looking at my graphs now is so satisfying - I no longer have any desire to see it go down, that’s passed thankfully as I realise this is a good place for me to be, any lighter might start to really age me.

i generated a graph for my whole MJ year from my scales app which I will post and hope to just keep it at the level it’s been at for all of 2026 so far. I’ve aLeo added my 360 scans from when I hit goal. Wish me of a year ago could have known just how life changing this was going to be.

i am about to finish the dregs of the last 10mg pen I got in the pendemic. I did not plan to use it for so long but only been needing 2.5mg. I opened it just after Christmas Confused. That’s beyond pushing the limits of what I ever thought I would do, but it’s still clear and not noticed any issues or lack of efficacy. I now have only 2 x 5mg pens left in my stash so thinking of dropping to 24 click doses (2mg) to see if I can still maintain on less MJ.

great to see lots of the original posters popping back up, you’ve all achieved so much this year ❤️ and thank you for all the support, it’s been so good to have our team comparing notes and cheering each other along.

My MJ anniversary is 28th, some absolutely amazing losses on this thread, well done everyone. Those images are awesome @Stasis26

1lb down this week,
SW 204lbs
CW 151lbs
GW?

I am in Healthy BMI but just chipping away another half a stone or so, I'll know when I get there. Then I'll seriously need to think about maintenance, yikes!

Anyway, happy MJ anniversary week everyone 🥂🎊

AdotHam · 20/04/2026 09:03

Hi everybody, the week of my MJ anniversary too!

I don't often post but am a longtime lurker following along with some amazing successes.
I started this journey at 221lb, very nervous and tearful about how I was feeling about myself and am now at 132lb looking to move into maintenance with a BMI of 22 which feels unreal.

Definitely feeling a bit overwhelmed by the next stage but so grateful to have this community to dip in and out of.

Congrats to all and here's to many more successes both scale and NSV for everyone 💛

Happy MJ anniversary everyone!

I hit rock bottom on Easter Monday 21 April 2025 of wanting, needing to change but not knowing how. My husband hesitantly asked if I’d heard about those weight loss injections. Of course I had. I’d researched them inside out and backwards. But I couldn’t justify that amount of money each month from the family pot just for me! We talked it through and he persuaded me to give it a go. Took my first jab on Friday 25 April and here I am, one year on and 5st 10lb off, and happily living in my healthy buffer of between 9st 7lb and 10st. Next challenge is to maintain and come off the medication.

Thanks for being such a supportive group. Our combined loss of those still here and those who have moved on would be staggering! 🎉🎉🎉

wow @Coventree you literally look like another person in the photos! amazing results.

Well done @AdotHam too, what an amazing loss.

What is the advice re: tapering off? I know I could read back through threads but if someone more knowledgeable can advise, that would be great. Do we taper down like we did going up? I only made it to 7.5mg and 5mg never really worked for me for some reason, so I hesitant to drop to 5mg in case it stalls.... or do people increase the length of days between each jab? or both things 🤔

As I said, any advice and tips as to what seems to work for others would be gratefully received 😁

Love this post!
Wonderful transformation 👏🏻 and thanks for being so open on here - it really does help to hear others' stories. We feel like a strong, supportive group and it's really lovely 💖

PeachSnail · Yesterday 14:24

It's my Mounjaro-versary today! I took my first dose exactly one year ago.

I was so fed up of feeling sad and unhealthy. I was anxious about what taking the medication would be like, but hopeful that this might finally mean the end of struggling with my weight.

And thank goodness it was.

I started with a BMI of 29 and am now happily maintaining with a BMI of 22.7. I've lost 22.4% of my body weight!

In some ways it's been an easy journey... Not having to deal with food noise and temptation... But in other ways it's been tricky managing the right dosage to balance good suppression with the nausea. I seem to react to MJ pretty strongly as I had a 4 day episode of D&V when I went up to 3.75mg. God knows what would have happened to me if I'd gone from 2.5mg to 5mg, as prescribed. Probably would have ended up in hospital!

@dozywelshbirdI'm now maintaining on 2.16mg every 10 days. I think people work out what works best for them and either lower the dose or stretch out the days or a bit of both. I'm noticing the desire for wine and chocolate has returned, so I'm having to try to curb that a bit more intentionally, but other than that my routines are pretty well established so it's not too difficult. Since starting MJ, I've ditched having breakfast and just have a protein smoothie instead. I have a salad, omelette or soup for lunch and then a normal dinner with a small portion of carbs. I'm also regularly running and weight training.

One unexpected pleasure is how fast I've become at running. I feel so light on my feet now, I actually enjoy running up hills. It's amazing!

But the biggest change is how confident I feel in myself. I'm no longer ashamed of how I look. I'm actually enjoying wearing clothes and putting together different looks. I feel like I'm back to my old self again 😊❤️

wendywoopywoo222 · Yesterday 17:49

Not sure if the photo will show but what a difference a year makes.
started at 21 stone 9
today am 14 stone 6.

a loss of 7 stone 3.

thats 33% of my body weight and with a bmi of 29.8 has taken me out of the obese category for the first time in 37/38 years.

well done everyone 🥂. You’re all fabulous and I appreciate the support.

Great updates all!

Although I’m not sure what this ‘enjoying running up hills’ thing is @PeachSnail 😁

Wow @wendywoopywoo222, you look amazing! Great transformation x
