Well, some of us are new, some of us are nearly at our goal weight and the rest are still in the trenches.

Everyone is welcome here. This is a safe and supportive space for people with a lot of weight to lose.

I’m starting horse riding as soon as I feel assured that I won’t flatten the poor horse, reckon that’s only about 6st away…….

That's something else I want to do, I'm just not sure where I can go as a new rider as an adult which is close by.

I have no idea where I’ll go either but I live fairly rural so I know there will be a lot of options when the time comes!

Checking in after my gastroscopy, apparently I have gastritis but nothing more serious. Also they did a biopsy to check for H. Pylori. They have doubled the dose of the PPI I’m on so fingers crossed that helps, and further follow up in Jan.

I was really expecting some comment on the Mounjaro causing all this but they barely mentioned it other than to confirm the medications I’m on.

Relieved the procedure is over and to have a way forward that for now at least means I can continue with the MJ and keep losing.

Congrats @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne on the extra pounds loss this week and @Lds1 that really is inspirational. I also must plan some things for 2026 that I couldn’t contemplate doing in years.

PearlTeapot · 18/12/2025 21:56

Very glad you’re ok and nothing major found 💖

i was awake crying in pain at 4am and realised it had been a week of no 💩 but I was finally able to go. My poor 121 staff member was being very discreet and sweet. I feel for them!

They are giving me lactulose Eve and Mornings so let’s see what happens, never had it before.

For any of you that love Spotify Wrapped, Shotsy have done their own version!

You need to get medication as soon as it has been one day without a BM.
Stools get very hard, very quickly, and then you'll be in pain, as you've found out.
Take the lactulose for several days until you're sure it's all out.
Sorry to be so graphic @PearlTeapot

Well done @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne and @PearlTeapot I hope you are feeling better today.

I have major news - I have reached my goal weight! 2lbs off this week brings my total loss to 13 stone 2, and my BMI is now healthy, which was always my goal! I am so so pleased I really wanted to do it before Christmas! Now I just need to figure out how to maintain, but I will keep jabbing for now and worry about that after Christmas.

I should’ve added some stats to that, so here we go:

SW: 24 stone 13 pounds
BMI: 53.1
Height: 5’9”
Clothes size: 24/26

CW: 11 stone 11 pounds
BMI: 24.7
Clothes size: 10

I just can’t quite believe it’s all real!

Iwouldratherbesinging · 19/12/2025 06:16

Oh my goodness @MummyInTheNecropolis, what an epic Christmas present for you!! That’s so impressive and all down to your hard work. ♥️

Thank you! I think I’m going to celebrate by treating myself to a mince pie today - my first of the season! 🎄😊

GnomeDePlume · 19/12/2025 06:47

Doggymummar · 19/12/2025 06:52

Fffreeeeezing · 19/12/2025 07:36

@MummyInTheNecropolisamazing, so envious 😁

RenegadeKeeblerElf · 19/12/2025 08:20

NSV for me this morning, I had to tighten the chest strap on my running light 🥳 I'm up to week 6 of couch to 5k now and have also been swimming on my non-running days this week. Hopefully it will show on the scales tomorrow but early indications aren't promising 🤞🤞

Missingducks · 19/12/2025 08:24

@MummyInTheNecropolis adding my congratulations - you should be very proud of yourself and I hope you have factored in a proper treat (in addition to the mince pie) whether that be a weekend in Paris or a new mattress or a leather trench coat ....

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 19/12/2025 08:44

Oh my heavens @MummyInTheNecropolis
How wonderful!
Well done. It's things like this that spur the rest of us on.

I saw this on another thread and thought it was very interesting:

"I know plenty of people on this drug and I’d say at least half of them are now smaller than a 12 (which is what I am)
It does make me feel uncomfortable (my issue I know) that before long I’ll be bigger than average (in my social circle)"

And there we have it.

Even size 12 people feel threatened by anyone who is smaller than they are.
We were quite right in our assumption that nobody wants those of us who are fat, to become thin.

This is the reason why we're all constantly hearing:

"you've lost enough weight now - you don't need to lose any more".

Love this my jab twin @Fffreeeeezing. I’m a stats geek though! Doesn’t seem that long since a few of us were at 3st 3 lost- look at us now. Could keep a zoo going with all those bananas

Thank you for posting this. I hadn’t spotted this update on the app.

This morning I am officially 212 bananas down which is also the equivalent of a leopard. That was my Christmas target of 5 stone down since Christmas Eve last year when I had words with myself about how I either accept the weight I was or I do something about it. Thankfully I chose the latter. I’ve had a risk of cancer during this year too (one more test in March and I should come off the pathway) so I’ve had a lot of motivation and many, many words with myself since.

i reckon another 4 stone and I’ll be happy, sitting midway in my BMI range. The rest of this year I’m off the Mounjaro and I’m going to throw in some treats and booze which I’ve barely touched this year.

wishing all of us losers success in 2026 xx

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 19/12/2025 09:40

Oh you'll never guess what's happened to me.

Nobody has so far bought The Masturbator (which I listed on Ebay) but a random bloke had offered me a discount on buying another one from him.

Yeah, right. Like I really want another one. I don't think so, mate.

🤣🤣🤣

Awww I want some shotsy stats, assume you have to pay for it though 😔

@TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne that's so stupid, as if you'd want another when you're already selling one, idiot man!
