And now I’m 9 stone 11.8. 🤯

Thinking there must be some sort of anti inflammatory whatnot at play.

Happy Friday all
I look to have stayed the same this week.
Im happy with that. Work has been full on and so decent meals haven’t really happened.
Hope everyone has a lovely weekend.

Happy Friday skinny bitches!

i’m definitely in my frustrating phase… This week I have done 5 x Pvolve (each each lasting around 40mins each), 5X inclined treadmill walks (of at least 45 minutes) each at 4.2mph pace , long dog walks every day , played tennis for two hours, 1 x Argentine tango lesson of 1hr and have done 2X Lagree classes…eaten clean, low carb, no booze since Sunday, achieved 30 different plants in my diet easily, according to MFP I’m in a deficit…but..net result… haven’t lost a pound since last week 😭

Anyway, have a lovely boozy day planned tomorrow with friends..short notice wedding dress shopping with my bestie who’s getting married in April followed by dinner with my lovely neighbours as our husbands are all buggering off to the Rugby at Twickers. I’m also going to a fancy Chinese lunar new year dinner hosted by Jeremy Pang at Fortnum’s on Monday evening (it has a drinks pairing too 🥳).

Fashion-wise, aside from buying too many pairs of Tango shoes 😂 I’ve been very good of late..only buying my wedding outfit (which I need Lagree to fit into properly) workout gear (in the peloton sale) which I needed as my old stuff had become too big, one pair of skinny jeans which were a tenner in a local boutique, a lovely Chanel-style jacket in cream and denim from my friend’s shop (wholesale price of £20) plus a hat for £8 on eBay. I was looking at a lovely cream satin midi skirt (£20) which looked more expensive than it was in Tesco on Tuesday, didn’t buy it only to find last night it was £10 in the sale so I got one on my club card points plus a £5 camisole top in cream..I’ve also gone into my beauty drawer and started using up everything in there rather than buying new stuff. I think the Rebel finance course got to me 😆

Hope everyone has got over their health issues this week and has something lovely planned for their weekend 🥰

Ooh I’m loving the bargains! I’ve gone a bit mad lately with the Hobbs bits the other week, and after finding a new raft of things which are suddenly too big have splurged on Vinted (bargainous purchases at least) but also ordered new sportswear (TU and Next), jeans (Next), and erm a big coat from Scamp & Dude after the zip died on my black Trespass winter coat (got trapped in a door and for the life of me cannot get it to zip up) (it is also a bit big but frustrating nonetheless). That last one is a bit naughty but I’ve been coveting it for yonks. It seemed like a sign 🫣🤣

In other news my pile of stuff to sell on Vinted is absolutely HUGE so need to get onto that next week.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

LindtCurves · 06/02/2026 09:46

Out of curiosity, how are everyone’s immune systems? Do you find that there’s any difference in how often you pick up things like cold/flu since achieving a below-25 BMI?

Weighing in.

SW: 19st 9lbs
CW:13st 1lbs
1st GW: 17st 13lbs
2nd GW 15st 4lbs
3rd GW: 13st 9lbs
4th GW: 11st 4lbs
TL: 6st 08lb

The plateau passed and with a 4 pound woosh this week - woo hoo!
Despite my boobs deflating slower than the rest of me, they're noticably looking a bit lost in my bras now so I measured and I'm a 34DD, which is delightfully back into the land of Normal Bras.
I also noticed my legs looking long this week. They always have been but when they're also rather wide it's not so obvious. I'm finding rediscovering this body as fascinating as it is exciting. I didn't think my shape had changed that much as I'd got bigger, and it hadn't hugely, but I'd forgotten what seeing long legs and an hourglass waist felt like.

🔔📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔📣

I weighed twice to make sure I wasn't seeing things.I thought I might hit two pounds off this week but not four. An honoourable mention to the chocolate cake at Caffe Nero for it's help - the last of the birthday freebies and it clearly works in the same way as the Asda muffins!

TheSlimmingPumpkin · 06/02/2026 10:24

I know how you feel @Mounjaropen I have upped my exercise in hope of a whoosh especially given that I was so happy that I broke through into 9 stone 13lb last week. I seemed to have spent this week bouncing around 9 stone 13.5 and 9 stone 12.5 which is bloody annoying as back 9 stone 13 this morning.

Out this evening for yet another friend’s birthday celebration so food and booze. I like the Jeremy Pang dinner at Fortums - bet that will be delicious

I sold some unworn swimsuits on Vinted this week @Goldleafcat - new with tags and the hygiene strip still on. At size 16 they would be too loose when wet. £10 each as I just wanted them gone, each cost £36 last year from M&S magic slimming range, I should have thought a bit more carefully when purchasing them but I was so excited to have lost 4 stone.

RayonSunrise · 06/02/2026 13:53

Lovely to hear all the weekend plans! After feeling dreadful all week I started perking up yesterday, and not a moment too soon - I’m out with friends tonight so had been happily outfit planning before the lurgy got me. I’ve settled on black high waisted flares, a black sleeveless roll neck, pointed toe kitten heel boots (there shall be walking in the rain from place to place) and DRAMATIC EARRINGS.

Can’t quite believe I’m getting my upper arms out ON PURPOSE and it’s not even 30 degrees, but that’s the new skinny bitch way!

Fab to hear everyone’s fashion updates, too. @Mounjaropenthe cream skirt sounds great - and what a bargain! @Goldleafcat, it’s so good to hear how much you’re enjoying clothes again. I think looking forward to getting dressed is probably the single biggest NSV I’ve had from this whole journey. (Clothes are fun! Who knew?)

@PinkArt, congrats on the woosh but even more congrats on getting reacquainted with your “old” shape, you teeny-waisted thing, you!

@TheSlimmingPumpkin- the up & down is frustrating, I agree. It’s often as little as a cup of water making the difference though. I’m still holding pretty firm “around 63kg”, which today is 62.9 and at the start of the week nearer 64 due to salt and not enough non-wine fluids. It feels like a rollercoaster, but you’re doing amazingly. And I think we all know what you mean about that midway weight loss shopping - I suspect most of us didn’t really think we’d get this far.

@LindtCurvesI don’t think my health has been worse since I hit my 20 BMI. I’ve been ill this week, but it’s the first time all winter so I think I’ve got off lightly so far. Generally I’d say I’ve been healthier - better food, more regular & considered eating, better sleep - since this all started.

PinkArt · 06/02/2026 14:09

@RayonSunrise you inspired me to see quite how skinny waisted I am. In reality, not remotely! But I checked my height to waist ratio and it's almost in the OK range now - 0.54 and 0.5 is the start of the lower risk range. And I had a look at where I started and it was 0.7 which was in the shouty red higher risk range.
I wish I'd kept up with measuring myself. Some of them were hardly moving and it didn't seem worth it but they're so much improved now - that's 11 inches off my waist!

11 inches is fantastic! That is a great accomplishment. You can keep on with this. 💪

It’s so lovely being able to enjoy clothes again. For so long they were just a function, and a sad one at that (I’d see nice things but know it wouldn’t work for me even if they had it in my size) ( I tried wide leg jeans and they looked absolutely dreadful on me) (I’m still not 100% convinced now but am braving them from time to time!).

Immune system @LindtCurves - I’m not sure if it’s any better or worse. Potentially slightly better - I’ve just succumbed to a throat / chest thing which my DH and DS have had for quite some time now. I managed to hold it off for weeks but finally it’s gotten me. But I’m hoping not as bad, I’m still taking DS swimming in a bit and then we have a panto this afternoon. Will be relying on coffee and cold / flu tablets to get me through. May spend tomorrow on the sofa though!

Thanks for the recipe, I'll give it a go. I have tins of black beans and my son has declared he hates them, so although I've had some success with a bean version of hummus this could be a good alternative.

Got around to making the black bean brownies recipe and it's great, thanks @Mounjaropen.

Made various substitutions based on what I had in the cupboard and (normal milk and sunflower oil instead of plant milk and coconut oil, carob molasses instead of agave syrup, frozen berries not fresh).

I was craving some kind of dessert and they really hit the spot.

Goldleafcat · 08/02/2026 08:07

Asking my little friendly corner of Mumsnet - my nice new black coat has arrived but I find it massive (seems to be a Scamp and Dude coat sizing issue in general in my opinion) - it’s meant to be oversized but I’m finding it too much. Gutted though as I do really like it and all the smaller sizes are sold out (I got the last 10). Am I being OTT and should I just embrace the oversized look? It’s not cheap though and if I’m not happy in it this would ultimately be a poor purchase I suppose.

I actually bought a new pair of skinnies, wore them this weekend and the ‘omg you’re really tiny now’ comments followed - a bit like I was suddenly in Katie Price territory 😂
