Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!

Congrats on stone barrier smashing. Plateau bursting and generally staying skinny all.

Ive dropped a just over half a kilo this week. Both happy and annoyed. I’d reached a new low last Sunday, but then went out for a roast(which always takes a few days to shift) and had to charge up my scales which between them put me back up 2 kilo, that’s off plus a bit but feel a little short changed.

Also had a bit of an epiphany, more of a doh than a-ha, I’ve been struggling with temperature regulation and had put it down to peri but this morning realised of course it’s a weight loss thing, I’ve so much less body to regulate than my internal heat/cooling system needs a reset. Not sure there’s a button for that.

Well done on that loss! Amazing!

Oh what annoying timing - I went on Tuesday! We could have arranged to meet in front of one of the frocks and discussed that MA was a far skinnier bitch than we could ever hope to be! I didn't have time for it as well but Divine Jewels is on for free there at the mo, if you need an extra boost of sparkle.

Ooh thanks!

indeed what a shame, we could’ve gone for spicy margaritas (my new thing lately 😂)

Oooh. I will try the list of fruit and veg, and I’m going to try sticking to my new normal of lunch and dinner with very rare small snacks (ie, once or twice a week, not 4-5 daily). Wine has definitely been sneaking back in though!

I’m definitely not perfect but it does focus the mind into considering what you are eating.

This is positive to hear. I’m halfway through a 15mg and have one more after this - then I’m on 12.5 pens! Hoping I get on ok with those then I’m going to start ordering 10mg (still running behind order schedule due to mini stockpile). Planning to titrate down too (depending on how successful I am…)

Not sure what my weight has been doing this week - was up to 10 stone 5 on Tuesday (argh) and was back down this morning to a new low of 10 1.8lbs. The magical 10 stone is coming into sight! I’ve been avoiding the booze this week which may have helped. Wish MJ turned off my wine noise, unfortunately I need all of my willpower to control that side of things!

My Hobbs blazer arrived today, and it’s perfect! Glad I ordered the 12, the 10 would have been too small. It’s quite exciting exploring different styles.

Enjoy the blazer!

Wine is a habit. I have it. And I know it is a first line carcinogen but I just love it 😭

AMAZING @TheSlimmingPumpkin, I can only echo everyone in saying you need a new vegetable avatar! What fantastic news.

I am enjoying everyone’s updates tonight - swim suits, skims, lace dresses, spicy margaritas! You all sound like you’re having an excellent time.

I am off to see friends tonight and - as this is the group who’ve interrogated me on my weight loss previously - I’ve opted for a fairly loose & layered outfit. It was only as I left the house that I realised I’m probably as close to DD’s preferred style as I’ve ever been. It made me think of this fashion column:

https://www.theguardian.com/fashion/2026/jan/28/jess-cartner-morley-on-fashion-your-wardrobe-is-cringe

… and I feel mixed as I like what I’m wearing, but have no desire to look like I’m trying to keep up with youth trends! Maybe I should quickly try to French tuck something. 😂

Congrats on all the milestones!

My weight has stabilised I think.
8 12 now.

im going for my first every consultation with a dentist who does aesthetics.

anyone care to share any treatments I should consider?

I have significant loss of fullness in my face and neck and the tops of my thighs and stomach and arms are pretty grim.

I apologise for bursting your ear drums by my rather loud shriek just then but I have finally broken the 10 stone barrier 😇🍾🥂. 10 stone has been my nemesis since November and I seemed to have been stuck on a never-ending plateau, granted there has been Christmas and 5 family birthdays to celebrate.

I have been into our dusty klaxon cupboard 😂 📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔📣🔔

SW 15 stone 12 lbs / 222lbs / 100.4kg
CW 9 stone 13lbs / 63.3kg / 139lbs
BMI started at 41.4😱
Loss to date 5stone 12lbs / 37.4kg / 82 Guinea pigs

Revised Goal to reach a BMI of 25.0 is 9 stone 7lbs / 60.8kg / 134lbs (might even be lower as I put a new swimsuit on this morning)

So 5lbs /2.5kg to go and hears hoping that the plateau is cracked.

Flipping amazing work, @TheSlimmingPumpkin, that’s brilliant news! Well done you!

I’ve drunk a whole bottle of English sparkling wine tonight. In my defence DH said to save some and he’d have it when he got back from driving DS around. So I dutifully did, and then when DH came in he said he’d rather have a smoothie. I was therefore forced to finish the bottle so it wasn’t wasted…

TooExtraImmatureCheddar · 30/01/2026 22:31

Forgot to say that I did my first weights workout since Sep today. I stuck to 5kg weights (it was a Caroline Girvan video and she was using 15kg, natch) but my legs are already sore. Hoping my sore shoulder blade is ok tomorrow - I reasoned that holding weights while I did leg day shouldn’t bother it that badly but I can feel it already so might be wrong.

I’d only say…Do your research. Dentists that offer aesthetics where I live is massive business… BUT… just because they are dentists does not mean that everyone in the practice is medically qualified….

Fantastic news @TheSlimmingPumpkin . It is such a satisfying barrier to break.

Went to the gym yesterday and did my first treadmill run for a few years. Was surprised how well it was going before I got a bit hot and tried to take my jumper off and went flying off the back of the treadmill. Fortunately not hurt but was so much less embarrassed then I would have been at my starting BMI. Not sure if it is a NSV or a sad reflection on my thinking. I did finish the run though which was good 🏃💪.

Oh no! Hope you’re not too bruised. I get annoyed with DH for not wearing the kill switch on our treadmill as there is a wall not too far away from the back of it and I’m haunted by the fact that Sheryl Sandberg’s husband died by being slammed into a wall off a treadmill in a luxury hotel. Also not wearing the kill switch…!

My day has started well… I didn’t bother getting a code to try and buy Harry Styles tickets yesterday for DD’s birthday in March as I thought I’d be driving DH back from the midlands.. in the end he drove si I probably could’ve done. Was annoyed with myself. I then considered buying a pair of crap seats for 3x face value. But didn’t. On a whim yesterday I bought one entry into one of those paid-for competitions (roughly a tenner I think) for 2 fabulous seats..and woke up this morning to find I’d only bloody won them! 💪💪💪

My skims have arrived. Eek! They look like they may be too small for my 3 year old.

I shall have to brave trying them on at some point this weekend 🫣🤣

Yep. My advice is be much firmer with them than you think you can be. Pull them right up 😉

Brilliant win, hope they’re great seats.

Ive not invested in skims yet, want to wait until im a settled size. Did get some M&S shapewear for my holiday and didn’t end up wearing it. Next hols in 7 weeks, might see some use then.

Good luck getting in to it @Goldleafcat

I can never get on with shapewear. It always rolls down. Haven’t tried skims yet. Let us know how it goes.

Best thing about Skims is that they don’t roll down. It is witchcraft 😂

Morning! Dropped off the thread again for a couple of weeks so catching up. Well done everyone on your progress.

I've been hovering around the same lowest weight since about October BUT the daily fluctuations aren't going up as high as they were, and I'm really noticing I fit into smaller clothes even though there's been little change on the scales.

My back injury is finally better and I went to a local boxing gym to give that a go, super fun and managed to get back into a 32H sports bra (max was a 36JJ). Great workout and felt good mentally too.

Started selling my bigger stuff on eBay and Vinted, which is satisfying. I'm keeping a few of the 'hero' items just in case, but most is going. Expensive brands I'm selling and everything else to the charity shop. I don't feel it's worth it unless I'm getting about £12+.

I’m jumping on here as I restarted in November. I’d been prescribed MJ for diabetes and never went above 5mg. As a byproduct I lost 20kg. After one year my gp withdrew the medication on grounds of cost. I saw the weight creeping back on and as I was till technically obese with bmi of just over 30 I decided to self fund to try and shift the last stone I wanted to shift (I’d still be overweight but I’d be happy with that). So I restarted end of November, was warned I’d see minimal loss on lower doses as my body was used to 5mg but had to start back at the beginning. Only lost about 2kg over the first 8 weeks. 2 weeks ago went up to 7.5mg. Week one was ok, this last week I’ve been running to the loo far more than I’d like. Up in the night, having to leave meetings to go etc. I vaguely recall my second week on 5mg was a milder version of that but it was 15 months ago! So is it likely to get better? I thought it had settled Friday but yesterday it was back. Pharmacist had advised of side effects were too much I could do 40 clicks and inject 5mg. I’m due to inject tomorrow. What would you do? I’m down 2kg this week but that’s because I’ve been scared to eat half the time.
