I know what you mean about white! I wore all-white on Christmas Day this year and my DH nearly fell over in shock. I have been the Woman in Black for as long as he’s known me.

I am looking forward to having a fridge full of veg and lean proteins, too. The cheese board is finally finished, just need to get the kids polishing off the last of the Christmas baking now…

I love a bit of white.. but my SIL (early on when I was with DH )pointed out once when I wore a colour that ‘ooh I wasn’t expecting to see you in a colour..we noticed you wear a lot of white’ which took me aback tbh because it was obvious it has been a point of a discussion - like I was bloody Geri Haliwell or something 😂. I think it’s quite rude to comment on someone’s sense of style. Hers is VERY different to mine (think Camper shoes, clashing patterns and the type of dress which Aunt Flo from Bod would’ve worn) which is also ok. Each to their own.

Oh the fishy collagen is for joints/cartilage? I have bovine collagen now after taking a fishy one for 3 months, and was just moaning to my mum that my nails are pretty crap right now - maybe that will change if I keep on with the bovine type?

I know what you mean about the supplements. I have MJ, Vit D, B complex, cod liver oil and bovine collagen, but have taken a break from the latter 2 because I was a bit worried that I was accidentally “layering” too much B- and D-vitamin because my collagen had some added as well. How have you found the Lion’s Mane? (You’re not the person who posted the thread a couple months ago about being “haunted” by her mushroom supplements are you…? 😂)

I started last year taking no supplements.. ended the year taking The Revive enhanced plus collagen every day, vitamin C every day, daily Vitamin D since October, creatine before and post workout ,the Pvolve sculpt 9 amino acid drink post work out and magnesium gummies before bed. 😂

As @Goldleafcat points out, I might just be having very expensive wees 😂

I ate chicken feet for collagen while away. Don’t know that it helped but I enjoyed them.

And you’ve all reminded me to get back on the vitamin d today.

Ive still not jabbed. Food noise is part time back(loud when hungry but I can also daydream about what’s for tea) but suppression is still fairly good. It’s weird.

Just want another good nights sleep before jabbing.

Geri’s all white fetish is a bit odd. Even her horse riding gear etc is white. How does she stay so clean 😂

I suspect it’s a way to make herself appear more classy / pure after her days as a Spice Girl / time on Turkish tv etc. It does suit her but agree it’s a tad OTT for all of the time.

I’ve not braved white yet but am introducing more and more colour as time goes on. I used to afraid of it, that and anything too patterned or striped, thinking it would make me look bigger than I am. I’ve been wearing a puffy coat the last few days (in a snowy Derbyshire) which is super warm. It makes me look bigger than I am but I don’t care that much, at least I’m warm!

How liberating is it to not have to worry about this anymore?!

jay55 · 06/01/2026 16:38

When I was shopping for my joggers some tiny Asian girls were asking for them in xl, long, so the could get the maximum oversized look. Of course barely being a size 0 they’ll never look big in them, probably even tinier. But it did make me stop and think about sizing and my attitude towards it.

Mounjaropen · 06/01/2026 20:36

Anyone watching ‘What not to eat’ on C4? It’s Dr Tim Spector (the Zoe founder) presenting. Just watching a couple who eat 2 x giant bars of chocolate (each!) every single night..apparently they’d need to eat 31 bars of high content cocoa dark chocolate to consume the sane amount of sugar… makes you think doesn’t it.

Definitely liberating! I’ve got a mahoosive new fur coat (I thought it was very JLo, but DD asked why I was dressed up as the dog 😂)but I’ve enough confidence now to know I’m normal sized so I’ve no fucks to give 😉

My SIL arrived last week in a long white puffer coat with a hood… it took all my strength not to say ‘alright Tony/Brian’ and not hum ‘stay another day’ 🤣 I don’t think she’d have found that funny at all.

I highly doubt she’s dicking about herself with oxy Whiteners in the utility room.. so she can 😂

Just watched the C4 prog. It basically reinforces that UFPs are bad for us in terms of addiction and weight. MJ has helped me block out most UFP horrors in terms of sweets, crisps and chocolate

I thought it was a great show to explain the effects of UPF’s on the body. I think we’ve all been on our own journeys this past year regarding UPF’s but if you genuinely didn’t understand what one was, it was easy to understand and had some great tips.

I will certainly watch the rest of the episodes - only another 3. Need to attack DH’s mayonnaise and sauce addiction so I am hoping that will be covered.

So liberating! I must admit i love an oversized fluffy jumper now that have the confidence of being skinny underneath!

That is exemplary resraint @Mounjaropen ! You deserve a medal!

I’m so sad that I went thru Geri’s instagram to see when it started. She was wearing colours until 2019. So maybe a lockdown issue or even to portray herself as pure against the potential other interests of Mr H..

I watched the UPF programme yesterday. The two massive chocolate bars a night each was a shock. But I couldn’t stop thinking about who had to clean the bath!

White, cream, pink… These are my colours now!

Did you wear black for its slimming effects? I certainly did.

Doing a bit of an experiment right now. Feeling very hungry and embracing it. I’ve just downed a small loaf of bread! Also having big portions of ‘the good stuff’, so 400g of chicken, fish etc as I feel hungry.

Feeling a little full and bloated. Feeling fat if I’m being honest. That’s how I used to feel all the time previously and think it was normal.

I’m on week 3 off MJ so assume that’s how life off the drug feels.

Will try to make it to Sunday and also see how much I gain.

One of the big benefits of MJ for me personally has been being able to fast 12-16h most days, which feels so much better for me than eating at all the prescribed meal times, and made my system feel better

RayonSunrise · 07/01/2026 13:25

@LindtCurves Hmm - I’d say I wore black both because it was slimming, and because it felt like an easy route to sophistication. (Chuck it on in the dark getting ready for work, it still all matches!)

I still like black, but it’s less flattering now than it was (thanks, middle aged complexion-fade), and now moving to white has definitely felt liberating! It’s a shame beige is too warm for me, I’ve really admired the beige & ecru combo on other people - very elegant.

The all-white wardrobe did seem quite extreme, didn’t it? I think she looks good in it, but it did feel a bit relentless.

I’ve not seen the UPF programme but now I’m curious! All this talk of 2 huge chocolate bars a night…

Goldleafcat · 07/01/2026 19:49

I ordered a 10kg weighted vest from Argos in the sale with the intention of starting to wear it on walks at some point soon. It has removable weights so you can choose how heavy to make it. The heaviest is 10kg. Blimey just carrying it from the shop to the car was outrageous. I think perhaps partly because it was an awkward shape / dense in size within the box but bloody hell what an eye opener! I’ve lost 38kg since starting this MJ journey so goodness knows what that would be to lift! 😱

RayonSunrise · 07/01/2026 20:30

That‘s very impressive, @Goldleafcat- also quite sobering! You’ve done amazingly. 💐
