Feel free to lurk or post, absolutely no judgement here, just support and encouragement as we hurtle towards Christmas proudly wearing Crimbo jumpers without fear of looking enormous, look for slinky party dresses on vinted and for the first time, willingly take part in ALL of the festive photos🥰

Join us here to celebrate NSV’s, weight loss milestones, maintenance and new stone brackets!
I’m on W55 D2 and on w6 (and final dose) of 3.75mg before moving onto 2.5mg.
F in my early 50’s
H 5’ 5.5”
SW 13st 11lb
CW 9st 6.8lbs
GW 9st 0lb
Total loss so far 61.0 lbs (at 9st 6.0)
We recommend the Shotsy app to monitor the amount of MJ in the system and pleasing graphs to look at…plus the MeThreeSixty body scan app to monitor inch loss for the weeks where weight loss is slow but you might have lost body fat etc. Both are free.
Feel free to swap recipes that might inspire anyone in a food rut, tips for managing side effects, exercise tips, tips for maintenance, titrating up or down and we love a wellness/supplements/beauty/ style chat too 🤗

Happy new year all! We've had a slow start to the new year which has been most welcome. In-laws were meant to come for dinner on the 1st but we have weather warnings in place here, so they decided to stay home and stay cosy and not risk icy roads.

Lovely snowy walk this morning then braved the roads for Body Pump at the gym. So feeling quite virtuous.

Been thinking about my goals for 2026. I turn 50 this year, so it's a special year:

  1. Wake up in New York on my birthday
  2. Refurbish the kitchen
  3. Get down to 10 stone exactly...or a smidge under
  4. Network my ass off at work and take the next step career wise
  5. Keep my fitness mojo going - 1 spin class, 1 body pump class and 1 reformer pilates class per week

What great goals! I bloody love NYC. 🥰

Hello And Happy New Year to everyone

monthly weigh in on 5mg dose
week 59
SW 18st 4.3lbs
CW 13 stone 10.2
Loss this month is 1lb
Total loss so far, 4 stone 8lbs
I have lost 25% of my starting weight
SBMI 43
CBMI 32

Since my last weigh in a month ago, it has been a pound on and a pound off scenario.
I have taken 5 mg today and hoping to refocus and try to get back on it and be a bit more disciplined.

01/01/25 - 01/01/26
yearly check in on measurements…
bust 16cm smaller
waist 16cm smaller
hips 24cm smaller

Those measurement losses are amazing!

Keep going 💪🏻

Happy birthday @PinkArt! 🎉🎉🥂🎂

…and klaxons for reaching a healthy BMI 📣📣📣

It’s lovely catching up with everyone’s news. @SerenePeer I also need to refresh my kitchen - just how far into it I go has been a hot topic of conversation here, but I think we’ve landed on keeping the current configuration (reluctantly, as I long for doors direct from the kitchen to the bbq outside…) and “just” sorting units and lighting. The whole room feels tired and we can’t put it off much longer. @Mounjaropen there may be two of us messaging for tips!

Interewting to hear your experience of HeySlim, @Oceangrey. I will need to order my next pen in a week or so and haven’t seriously looked beyond Oushk yet, despite all their missteps lately. Part of me is thinking that being in pure maintenence now, it will be hard to switch.

@Goldleafcat I am so glad you’re feeding my fashion addition! Love the colour on that. SS26 is supposed to be all about a return to brights, so you’re ahead of the curve! I bloody love a statement coat.

Speaking of which - @Mounjaropen, thank you for supporting my coat hunt! My shortlist of fur features has ended up being:
-set in shoulder (not dropped or raglan)
-straight cut (not too swing)
-low hip to mid-thigh length
-animal print, browns/ambers rather than yellow/orange

I had found a Hush mid-length leopard coat that seemed to fit the bill, looking at it photographed on the seller, and it also reminded me of a long, relaxed Hush blazer I have. But no - she’s decided to keep it on NYE, so she must have remembered she liked how it looks too. 😂

I have a little shortlist on Vinted now and am a bit frozen in indecision. One of the candidates has a nice shape but it tiger rather than leopard - not sure how I feel about that. Too aging Motley Crüe groupie? (At my age that’s a genuine concern…)

Dressing a new or regained shape is a whole learning curve! I’ve learned a lot from the Kibbe stuff, but it’s made me quite selective about what clothes I choose/keep.

Thanks all. I've had a super chilled day on the sofa, because frankly outside is too cold for anything more exciting to appeal!

Happy new year everyone! This is the first year in forever that my new year resolution doesn’t include to lose weight!

my resolutions are focusing on strength - I want to build my physical strength, but also my emotional and mental strength and the strength of my relationships. I had a real mental health blip at the end of the year and it’s made me see that I need to take care of myself.

weight wise I’m bouncing up and down a couple of pounds but staying within my range. I’m going to start RED and dry(ish) January on 5th when life goes back to normal. I got a garmin for Christmas and the impact drinking has on my body battery is illuminating. I sleep so poorly when I drink, even if I sleep for a long time it’s non-restorative.

My main intention is to cut down on the booze even more than last year (which was significantly reduced on 2024).

I’ve ‘joined’ a MN group on this. Will see how it goes. I’m not a raging alcoholic just yet but wine has crept in more than is healthy so I want to be more sensible and stop any creep. Message me if you want a ‘buddy’ to chat with etc. xx

Happy New Year everyone! @PinkArt Happy birthday!

Will weigh myself tomorrow but I don't expect a big gain, having gained 4lb over Xmas, would be nice to see them gone.

As for health/weight loss related goals for the year:

  • Retain my weight at 9st 7 in a sustainable manner
  • Reduce MJ consumption, try going off it completely gradually and see what happens
  • Dedication to looking after my skin
  • Continue eating the good stuff inc diverse fruit, veg and protein - that has actually gone very well so far with a massive shop full of said things. I notice stocking my fridge fully with tasty wholefoods is the best way to keep on going, whereas when I am low on options or hungry, I make bad choices
  • MAKE A PROFIT ON VINTED - even if it's a pound 😂

I have also just donated all of my 'fat' clothes - eek! Figured if I haven't worn them and they're not super amazing (i.e. worth taking in), why keep the gathering dust?

Now with Vinted, even if my shape does change, I can sell what I have and buy new things in whatever size/style/shape I turn into in the future, at no/low cost.

Am also wearing white. A lot. I never dared wear white before!

Right?! Just as I thought I was getting a handle on this stuff…

Haha it’s insane isn’t it. Type 1 and 3 are alleged to help with bones, skin, and the gut (type 3 for the gut). This is normally in the powdered variety (Willpowders, Nutrition Geeks etc). Type 2 collagen is generally the fishy sort, and is alleged to help with joints and cartilage etc. Hence why I’m trying to cover all bases, albeit intermittently because this shit can get out of hand 🤣

I’ve gone from being the general multivitamin woman in 2024 to now having MJ, Perfectil, collagen, creatine, extra omega fishy oil, vit D spray, occasional calcium and iron, and bloody minoxidil for the hair! I’ve also got Lion’s Mane, magnesium etc in the Nutrition Geeks bundle but have only taken the lion’s mane sporadically and have left Ashwagandha for now because I’ve read it can cause anhedonia which I worry MJ has already caused to some extent (could just be menopause though). Also, it’s a lot to take! I don’t always manage to have everything every day which is probably no bad thing, don’t want to overload my kidneys.

Of course I do question whether it’s just all expensive wee 🤣

Oh the fishy collagen is for joints/cartilage? I have bovine collagen now after taking a fishy one for 3 months, and was just moaning to my mum that my nails are pretty crap right now - maybe that will change if I keep on with the bovine type?

I know what you mean about the supplements. I have MJ, Vit D, B complex, cod liver oil and bovine collagen, but have taken a break from the latter 2 because I was a bit worried that I was accidentally “layering” too much B- and D-vitamin because my collagen had some added as well. How have you found the Lion’s Mane? (You’re not the person who posted the thread a couple months ago about being “haunted” by her mushroom supplements are you…? 😂)

I know what you mean about white! I wore all-white on Christmas Day this year and my DH nearly fell over in shock. I have been the Woman in Black for as long as he’s known me.

I am looking forward to having a fridge full of veg and lean proteins, too. The cheese board is finally finished, just need to get the kids polishing off the last of the Christmas baking now…

Hmm. I suspect I’m in a similar boat - I really like wine and find it easy to slip from one glass to 3 over the course of an evening. I would like to be able to have ONE with dinner and just stop, and as standard have that be a couple times a week max.

I find it a shortcut to relaxation, and it feels lovely, so then naturally I want another glass! I was reading the best buys of 2025 thread and someone mentioned Trip CPD drinks which helped them stay mostly alcohol free, so I might get some to see jf they help at all.

Sorry forgot to reply about the lion’s mane. I’ve not really taken it consistently enough to be able to fairly rate it. I might introduce it once I’m back to work tomorrow though.

I have potentially noticed an improvement through taking creatine though - both for my muscles when I exercise and it’s also possibly helping my fatigued brain. Time will tell! Anything to help!

Happy New Year fellow death jabbers!

well, on the other side of my second Christmas on jabs, and managed to lose 1/2 lb, which is a bit of a miracle as I didn’t feel like I was holding back, but the jab is still doing it’s thing and making me feel full in a fraction of the time, and I snacked way less, but still! I have drunk like a fish for two weeks!

I have about a stone to go to get comfortably into a healthy BMi, and about 1 1/2 stone would be an ideal goal, getting me into a size 14 hopefully and not too thin and gaunt as I’m 5ft 10. So I need to lock in and get it done as it is so costly now, and weight loss is so slow now!

Still can’t get over the fact that I have lost over 5 1/2 stone!!!

Ha, it was a VERY odd thread - tbf the OP I think was being lighthearted, but a couple of people started chipping in quite seriously talking about demonic possession and it all took a bit of a turn…

Has made me consider supplements a bit carefully. 😂🍄‍🟫

Urgh. Back to work and back to reality today. Had a major case of the Sunday Scaries last night, so my sleep was rubbish. Mood has not been helped by stepping on the scales and seeing I'd put on 6lbs!!!!! Now logically i know that a lot of that is just bloating and water retention - I'm due on so can blame a lot of it on that. But it is a stark reminder to stop adding cream to everything, stop the nightly Baillies, stop the cheese nibbling, stop the chocolate every time I'm in the kitchen! Now to be fair, it's only ever 1 Lindt ball at a time. Back pre-MJ it would have been 3 at a time, bare minimum! But a lot of mindless eating of salty food has happened in the last week without much water and that needs to stop. Most of the year I barely touch alcohol but the past 2 weeks has seen a steady stream of nightly cocktails, mimosas, Baillies, mulled wine and boozy hot chocolate - then of course the cheese and crackers come out along with salty nuts and crisps. No wonder i feel like a sack of potatoes.

So it's back to chugging water before anything else and reminding myself that festive feasting is over!

Seeing 10 st 10 on the scales was quite a shock this morning! 😱

Hope everyone else has a gentle start back to work!

Happy New Year all.
i wore one of my party dresses on holiday, but alas it bloody rained so stuck to sparkly trousers for the other nights out.
Not weighed yet. But feel okay.
Bought loads of new joggers and sweaters in outlet sales while away, happily seeking out the Mediums.

Well done to all surviving and thriving through the period of national gluttony.

RayonSunrise · 05/01/2026 10:33

Ha, nicely put @jay55! Glad you got to wear some of your party clothes despite the rain.

Today has been The Post-Christmas Reckoning: weigh in, jab day, back on the wagon.

SW: 93kg
CW: 64.5kg
GW: 63kg

So I have gained 1.5kg (3.3 pounds) over Christmas and New Year, which isn’t too bad but needs to stop RIGHT now.

I’ve taken my 5mg jab (back to weekly for this new lower dose pen, then will start extending out with the next one) and am resolved to being back to morning fasting for a few days while I increase my water intake and get back to avoiding all the UPFs. We’ll see how things are looking by next Monday, but in the meantime I have a run scheduled for lunchtime and PVolve for early evening. (Couldn’t get up early enough for morning PVolve - watched Traitors on catch up til too late!)

Happy January, all 💐
