My pens always come with extra needles, usually 6-7. I assume it’s in case one bends or something.

I have sadly only ever had 4 with each of my pens!

healthjourney · 21/12/2025 19:34

2 wins to celebrate today, I saw 10.13 on the scales today which is the first time in my entire life ive ever seen a 10 on the scales! By the time I remember owning scales I was always at least 11 stone something or a lot more.

Also for the first time ever I don't have any clothes in the wardrobe that are too small waiting for me to lose weight. The final couple of items I'd previously bought to slim into now fit me. It's such a novelty that I can actually wear all of my clothes (although I have given away so much to charity that it's a pretty small capsule wardrobe at the moment)

One if my early orders, I can't remember which now, came with a box of 100 pen needles ends. I have loads spare! They can't be expensive because these came free with the pen.

Are any of you delaying your jab this week?

My day is Thursday. But I don't want to on Cmas Day. I want to eat!

How are you all handling it?

AmberLime · 23/12/2025 09:28

My jab day is Thursday too.

I'm jabbing early, not late, to boost my willpower and resolve to not over eat.

I'm going to jab every 5 days over the next two weeks - today (Tues), Sunday, and Friday - then back to weekly every Thursday in January.

I don't have your resolve. I love Christmas food, so want to enjoy all the lovely things.

I usually jab on Friday, but last week I delayed until Saturday evening as we had a big family gathering for lunch on Saturday.

This week I’ll be delaying until Sunday evening as we’ve got another big gathering with DH’s family for Sunday lunch.

I get really high appetite suppression for a few days after my jab so I wanted to delay in order to eat “normally” in front of all the extended family members.

MissMogs · 23/12/2025 13:01

I jabbed early as my suppression is also highest a couple of days after jabbing so I wanted to leave a longer gap. Well it hasn’t worked out well - I hadn’t factored in that I only recently went up to 12.5mg and jabbing earlier would mean levels hadn’t had a chance to drop down before shooting up again, to the point that I struggled to eat at all yesterday which has never happened before!! Keeping everything crossed that I’m at least back to normal MJ appetite by Thursday even if I don’t feel as hungry as I’d like. I don’t want to go mad or anything but equally Christmas food is important to me and I want to enjoy it with my family.

FoxRedPuppy · 23/12/2025 13:18

I jabbed as normal on Sunday, although I am titrating down, so currently on 5mg (7.5 was highest I went).

But also I want to learn to navigate things like holidays and Christmas without going mad. I’m having bits of chocolate, I’ll eat Christmas dinner, but just a smaller amount.

Pre-Christmas check in for me, and a Christmas miracle of seeing the 10s! Have been jumping between 11.2 and 11.1 for the last few weeks but finally dropped down to 10.12 this morning! Comfortably fitting into size 12s and so happy that we were all brave enough to start this process back in June and how much change we’ve all had. This has been such a good place to read and share experiences as a secret jabber.
I normally jab Thursdays and will probably jab Saturday morning, so a bit later than normal. I don’t have many/any side effects and can eat pretty normally on 5mg but also don’t see any harm in delaying slightly just in case. It’s more I don’t like doing the injection when I’ve got a full stomach knowing it’s going to slow digestion down if that makes sense.

Great news @Mynewusersame

Well done on the loss.

LadyClumber · 23/12/2025 15:45

I jabbed (and will jab) on my usual day - Friday.

ihavetocookagain · 24/12/2025 18:16

Merry Christmas everyone, have a great one.
Although a fair way to go, my NSV has been fitting into dresses I haven’t for probably 15-20 years (with the aide of shapewear)! Also realising that the trousers I planned to wear tomorrow will be too big!
Have a great day and see you all on the other side.

MissMogs · 24/12/2025 18:29

Merry Christmas June Jabbers! I’m delighted to be wearing a Christmas jumper bought about a decade ago and some jeans which are feeling kinda loose! Even debating ordering some 16s in the January sales.
Congrats everyone on sticking it out for 6 months and entering a new year a lot healthier and hopefully happier! Whether you’re sticking to the plan or splurging tomorrow I hope you had a wonderful day!

ChiaraMontague · 24/12/2025 20:02

My old faithful Christmas jumper bought about 8 years ago is now a jumper dress!

flameprincess · 24/12/2025 21:07

Jab day was Monday for me and I decided to skip it for this week (well I'm going to jab on Friday instead) but still feeling the effects. Did a full buffet for the family this evening and couldnt eat much at all. Have managed a few drinks though! If I can maintain over the holiday period I will be happy.

I have stalled somewhat since the initial 3 stone loss and still much MUCH more to lose but also I havent been as good on my exercise and protein intake recently so I know I need to buckle down after Xmas. I just take stalls as my body resetting its set point 😆

Anyway good luck to everyone navigating the holiday period on a GLP1, its certainly nice being able to wear an Xmas jumper without sweating to death isnt it.

RussianDoll76 · 25/12/2025 12:36

So I’m now having my 3rd cuppa coffee. Was supposed to go to the pub with everyone but seem to have a new found aversion to alcohol 😂.
I have received rather a lot of boxes of chocolates and biscuits and also a food hamper for Christmas . Not the usual gifts . Mainly from very anti jab in laws 🤔. It made me wander if any of you have had the same ?
Will definitely need to lose a lot of it as I have no urge for anything like that . Did a cooked breakfast for everyone else and I munched my yogurt while it cooked . Feels weird but a good weird . 🤩

Bloozie · 25/12/2025 23:17

Haven’t eaten well today. Not slightly bothered. Tomorrow will be as bad if not worse. All good. Normal service will then resume.

NSV today - I think I looked nice in the dress I wore to lunch. Also, I can feel my hip bones very prominently in my waist. There really isn’t much more waist to go.

Sooooooo much thigh, hip and arse still to go. But. My waist is making it all look a bit better.

Crinklecat · 26/12/2025 10:18

Happy Christmas all. Hope you’re all having a great couple of days. Didn’t eat as much as usual yesterday but still had the usual plate of Christmas dinner and a few drinks. Felt very sick when I got home but that might be because I had a couple of coffees which I don’t usually. Weighed myself and I’m up 2.4lbs from a week ago but I’m not bothered as I know my calories haven’t been excessive and will go back down in the new year. Still under 13stone which is my goal this week. Off to do it all again today!

MissMogs · 26/12/2025 10:53

I ate a smaller dinner than usual…but then had 3 puddings!! A similar day will probably follow today. I need this stuff out of my house so I can return to normal!
how long does it take for extra calories to turn into weight?!

flameprincess · 26/12/2025 11:12

Best thing about Xmas day was being gifted clothes/pjs and them actually fitting me (I normally have to smile politely knowing they are nowhere near my size)

SecretIrnBruDrinker · 26/12/2025 21:11

I have approximated my calories for the last two days and I've gone massively over. That said, I've not eaten as much as I would have last Christmas. I'll jab, weigh and go to the gym tomorrow and then change into my size 14s anyway Grin

MissMogs · 27/12/2025 18:45

Turns out getting back into things is harder than staying on them. Huge effort in willpower required tonight not to join the family in eating leftover puddings from Christmas. I allowed myself to have some on Xmas day & Boxing Day but then drew a line. Doesn’t help that I’m on day 6 (and last 2 weeks have jabbed on day 6). Keep trying to focus on the bigger picture and where I want to be by Spring/Summer. But it’s hard when there’s so much nice stuff in the house and my usual routines have gone out the window!

Crinklecat · 27/12/2025 20:05

@MissMogs I’ve been worse today than the other days, and I’ve been home alone so no excuse! Also day 6. Was 12 stone 13.8 this morning so will definitely be back into the 13s tomorrow 😭 back on it Monday for sure

ChiaraMontague · 27/12/2025 21:01

I jabbed on day 8 last week and will do the same this week due to big family meal tomorrow, definitely noticing a difference in hunger levels tonight!

I haven’t weighed for a couple of days due to being at in-laws, will do it tomorrow morning and report back!
