Hurray the website is finally fixed so I can post properly again!

glad you are finally on the mend @CurlsandCurves - what a way to lose 11lb!

no plans to change dosage or skip anything here. I'm definitely eating more chocolate at the moment though, I have 2 chocolate calendars and the more I have the more I want something sweet. Might skip a few days!
Nothing much else going on chez MJ, same weight for a couple of weeks, still no Christmas decs up...

BlueLimes · 02/12/2025 16:48

no change for me - I can still eat everything but less. I’d like to lose 4lbs to reach my ultimate goal and I’d also like to get my dose down at some point (I’m on 15mg). I think I’ll try 12.5 in Jan and if all ok go to 10mg in Feb.

Sorry I know I’ve missed a lot, when I’ve not been working I’ve been shopping - lots of new things for meeeee ! Must crack on with sorting Christmas now.

BlueLimes · 02/12/2025 16:53

Glad you are on the mend @CurlsandCurves
@2025istheyeari almost 6 stone is gobsmacking. I have to drop DS in Oxford on Saturday, I might have a mooch around the Westgate (is it still called that??) while waiting for him, might drag DH to John Lewis and then lunch.
@PenelopesProteinPackedParty you’ve reminded me of Port, didn’t really like it but can remember drinking it for a while when I was a student no idea why 🤔

Did you go to Cambridge? Many of the colleges have their own ports…

Polkadotdash · 02/12/2025 17:52

I’m still feeling like shite, so I have booked a blood test with GP to see if I’m anaemic again. I’m also wondering if it’s Wegovy related? The malaise seems to have only come on in the last few weeks since I switched.

Anyway, Bonne Maman advent calendar off to a good start - apricot jam (love) and chocolate spread so far. How’s everyone elses’s posh grown ups calendars going?

myladyjane · 02/12/2025 18:29

@Polkadotdash oh so I have the M&S beauty one. Day one some floral street perfume (not a scent I would have picked myself but I really like it). Bath oil today which smells lovely so ace so far.

i was just planning on jabbing same as normal over Christmas. I jab on a Friday so in theory my lowest suppression on Xmas day although it doesn’t work like that for me quite often.

BlueLimes · 02/12/2025 18:36

@zempy London. So I can’t explain the port ..
@Polkadotdash hope you feel better soon

so far I’ve had a 2x mascaras, a serum, a cleanser, a bath oil and a perfume because I’ve inexplicably got 3.

M&S has had a good start @myladyjane

Polkadotdash · 02/12/2025 19:08

@BlueLimes can’t imagine how you ended up with three calendars 🤣

2025istheyeari · 02/12/2025 19:40

Well done on the shopping @BlueLimes!! Enjoy Oxford, yes still the Westgate albeit much bigger than it used to be!!
Thanks re weight loss, I’m still in disbelief to be honest!

Hope you feel better @Polkadotdash, good idea to see a GP.

ooh I’m going to get Bonne Maman for DH next year! I’ve got Liberty this year, it was a treat to me after leaving work, got a nice perfume yesterday and a cleanser today.
still job hunting here, it’s tough out there!!

cloudjumper · 02/12/2025 19:49

I’m going to continue with jabbing as usual over Christmas. While I’m not bothered with the food and drink, the sweets are always my downfall - and at Christmas, they are everywhere. Just ordered my next pen, that’s my Christmas present from me for me 🎁

Just did my jab, weigh day tomorrow. Not sure if I’ve managed to lose more this week.

HeidiLite · 02/12/2025 21:31

It's Baileys for me. I don't even have a sweet tooth, but I will make an exception there. That thing is 300 kcal per 100ml!

Thelittlestranger · 02/12/2025 22:44

I didn't need to know that @HeidiLite !! I love a Christmas coffee...had one on Sunday!!

6 stone is impressive @2025istheyeari

I feel stuffed tonight - probably hit just under 1500 cals at a guess, but it's not a nice feeling. Will put me off for a few days which is good.

This morning I hit my lowest weight since I had a random low weight week in August. It could be many reasons - I didn't exercise for two days, so no muscle inflammation potentially. Either way, I'll take it and not weigh until Friday.

I've got a pukka tea calendar - today's was honey and ginger.

BreezyPeer · 03/12/2025 08:04

Morning 🌄 losers! Xxx

meatyryvita · 03/12/2025 09:37

@Polkadotdash so happy you're enjoying the Bonne Maman calendar! DS and I are loving it. I was in London for work yesterday and so he had permission to open door 2 and enjoy the hazelnut and chocolate spread.

@HeidiLite 300 cals?!?! Bloody hell, one to avoid!

Like @cloudjumper , I'll be continuing to jab over Christmas, I've had quite a hungry week and so doubt I'll have lost anything this week and feel that I clearly need the medication to keep me on the straight and narrow.

@2025istheyeari 6 whole stone? Wowser, that's seriously impressive - well done! Best of luck with the job hunting - it is indeed really tough.

@Thelittlestranger the tea calendar sounds fab.

@CurlsandCurves glad you're starting to feel better.

Have a lovely day losers!

Morning losers!

I’m farting round doing stupid little jobs that don’t need doing which is probably a reaction to the dismantling of the utility room and the fridge freezer STILL being in the middle of the kitchen. So I’ve just dubbined my leather Ugg biker boots ready for the winter. I discovered good old fashioned dubbin last year - beats all those fancy leather creams as long as you don’t mind a possible darker colour resulting.

I’m also bouncing round in annoyance with myself for agreeing to take up a friends trousers. Part way through she decided to ask if I could let the waist out! Moving the buttons an inch isn’t enough! They are fucking Primark satin wide leg trousers. Buying the size up clearly didn’t occur to her. Anyway there’s nothing I can do except replace the back of the waistband with Lycra so guess what! I’m doing that as well now. I have a golden rule that I never take on alterations but she’s having a rough time so I said yes. Never again!

Brother had his CT scan yesterday so the wait has started. Comments about what on earth he expected having smoked most of his life are proving to be unhelpful and I might have snapped. I’m also finding the comments about how we didn’t understand how dangerous smoking was in the 70s infuriating. Yes we bloody did but we were young, invincible and thought we’d live forever.

Anyway - rant over. I’m digging deep to find some strength. I’ll find it but it gets tougher each time

HeidiLite · 03/12/2025 10:43

Morning losers,

Bonne Maman sounds lovely, maybe will get it next year. Got a muesli calendar for DH this year, he loves his cereal. Got some nice products from my own Korean beauty calendar.

I'm on a business trip and can see there are several deliveries with kids' Xmas gifts arriving. Told DH to put them somewhere kids will never find them, I'm thinking dishwasher, laundry basket, on the stars? Those places seem to be totally invisible to any other family member 😁

Polkadotdash · 03/12/2025 17:02

@HeidiLite on the stairs, 💯. Nothing ever gets moved from there unless I move it.

Little trip to Oxford today to see the Radiohead exhibition at the Ashmolean and to buy the Christmas cheese. The exhibition is fantastic. And I restricted myself to buying a small amount of cheese to try to be good. The cheese board is my favourite part of Christmas. Oxford was all Christmassed up. Lovely to see.
And my friend’s heart surgery was successful on Monday so I’m feeling less worried about that, although there is a long road of recovery ahead.

BreezyPeer · 04/12/2025 08:38

Morning 🌄 losers!
I slept in today - nearly a disaster.
Quick weigh in, I am now below my maintenance weight range. I will post an update when I get a break later.
Have a great day everyone xxx

2025istheyeari · 04/12/2025 08:40

@jins,sending love, really unnecessary comments from the medical team, compassion and understanding required at times like this. Hope you don’t have to wait too long for results and that there is a treatment plan asap.

@Polkadotdashooh, the cheese stall in the covered market? Love it there! Such a shame that most of the
market is now cafes and loads of the traditional shops I remember from being a teen have gone ( although Bens cookies still there 😋).
Radiohead exhibition sounds great, will have to have a look at that. Glad your friend doing ok too.

Thanks for all the congrats, 3 1/2 pounds off 6 stone but almost there!!

Great to be at lowest weight just before Christmas @Thelittlestrangerand tea sounds good. I swear by Pukka Nighttime tea!

🤞🏻for weigh in today @cloudjumper. I’m having a hungry week but not going above 1500 calories and going for high protein and fibre! Just making some ham stock, lentil and root veg soup.

Not much going on here today, dreary and wet so a quick dog walk later, and holiday planning, my favourite pastime!

Happy Thursday losers!

Jins · 04/12/2025 09:09

Morning all. Jab and weigh in today but it’ll have to wait until I’ve finished a few emails. Feeling better today but that could change. It’s our village Xmas fair on Saturday and nobody has made or bought any mince pies or found any volunteers to make tea and coffee. So it’s been handed to me as I’m ’good at getting things sorted’. I’ve already written and deleted 3 emails, hopefully version 4 will be suitable to send.

I think I’ve run out of farting about tasks, I cleaned and serviced two vacuum cleaners yesterday and cleaned and oiled my sewing machines (4 😚). We’d normally be thinking about putting the tree up but that’s going to have to wait until the kitchen and utility room is back together. Probably Xmas Eve at this rate.

The last of my Black Friday fabric purchases should arrive today so I’m setting time aside to make some 3/4 sleeve T-shirts. It’s a bold move for someone that has lived in sleeveless tops year round for the last decade but I think my hot flushes have finally stopped and coupled with the reduction in body fat I’m starting to feel the cold. They will also hide my wrinkly upper arms which is a win.

Have a great day everyone.

Jins · 04/12/2025 09:45

Email sent. Clearly hasn’t worked as I’ve got a voicemail asking me to pick up teabags, coffee and sugar. I’m on such a short fuse at the moment that I think it’s probably best just to buy the stuff before I cause irreparable damage by flying off the handle in true Scorpio fashion!

On the plus side I’ve gained a bit from the all time low but I’m still 0.2 lbs down from last WI so that’s good. Just need to remember to do 30 clicks not 35 when I do my jab around lunchtime.

HeidiLite · 04/12/2025 11:30

@Jins has been handed to you? Hand it back!

Jins · 04/12/2025 11:35

That was my first reaction @HeidiLite but in all honesty it does need doing and I do have use of staff discount in Tesco. I’ve also traded buying the stuff for non-attendance on the day. I absolutely hate Xmas fairs with all the stalls of homemade tat and kids racing round like lunatics. So I’m gaining an afternoon to myself as DH and DS2 are out and I’m counting it as a win.

Polkadotdash · 04/12/2025 12:32

@2025istheyeari yes that’s the one! I love the Oxford Blue that they do. We make an annual trip there to buy it for Christmas. We also had a sneaky vegetarian fry up in the old cafe that’s in the market too. Although, I struggled to eat most of mine, but the fried bread was heavenly. I can heartily recommend the Radiohead exhibition. Adam Buxton narrates the audio guide as well. I left feeling inspired by it and it’s both nostalgic and futuristic too.

Bloods back from GP and I’m both anaemic and Vit D deficient. I thought having the hysterectomy would stop all of this. I’m obviously not eating a properly balanced diet 🙁

HeidiLite · 04/12/2025 12:51

@Polkadotdash I had both those plus B12 deficiency a couple of years ago, my diet has always been super healthy and balanced. And at that time, I was getting plenty of calories as well. I guess just like with GLP, some bodies just need supplementation.
