Ooh I’ve just realised I won’t be far off joining you guys at the 12.something /13st mark. So exciting.

Shitzngiggles · 06/01/2026 10:16

@narcASD I'm doing ok thank you. Lost 3lbs over christmas and new year. So only a stone left to go and I'm so close to getting into the 9 stone something bracket.Still getting good suppression on 5mg so I'm going to stick with that dose as long as I can.
Only downside is I'm getting some loose skin which considering I'm in my 60s I can't really complain. Better loose skin than rolls of fat 😁.
Had to order 2 pairs of trousers today in the next size down. I can't believe how well this is working. Like a lot of us this really is a miracle drug for me.
Looking forward to seeing everyone's progress over the next few months.

Shitzngiggles · 06/01/2026 10:19

@Clumsykitten well done, that must be a great feeling to lose the baby weight. On a slightly different note, I've now lost the same amount of weight that my 3 year old grandson weighs 😊. And I can't carry him for long. Mind boggling really.

Eatinpeachesonthebeaches · 06/01/2026 11:18

Ate pretty well over Xmas but had some wine , cake and a few sweets. Normally afterwards I want to tuck into my Xmas present chocolate but have felt surprisingly meh about it this year. Delighted to drop to 60.6 from last week's 61.3. That's plenty for me as I'm aiming for a slow loss so will be staying on 5mg for the foreseeable.

SexyFrenchDepression · 06/01/2026 12:04

I am down 2 stone now, 2lb I lost just before starting then 26lb since. Can't believe how well its gone. I was looking at some photos of the summer of me during a sports match and really cant believe how much weight I had put on. It wasnt just the weight, I looked so bloated, I know photos highlight the bad bits worse than real life but they are horrible photos. I am actually shocked at how bad they are looking back! Hopefully any candid ones taken this summer will be considerably better than those.

Meandmypooch · 06/01/2026 18:15

Hi all, hoping everyone's ok after the Christmas and New year's festivities!
I didn't do my usual strict calorie counting over the holiday period as I thought it would stress me out after seeing how many calories were in mince pies etc 😱

I fully expected to put some weight back on over the 2 week period but I managed to actually lose 0.6kg so pleased with that and now back to calorie counting!.

SW 129.1 kg
CW 106.7 kg
Next TW 100 kg

🎉🎉🎉 that’s a fabulous feeling!

well Done @Meandmypooch @Clumsykitten need to hear more positives like this as keeps me motivated!
went to gym this evening and feel I'm almost back on track, not weighing daily as I think it just gets me down, also today is the first day in years that I've not had a full sugar Coke! I'm addicted to it and used to drink 3 cans a day, I've been still drinking it since starting MJ but limited to a can a day, I know it's devils poison but I don't drink alcohol, trying to limited it to weekends now.

Funny what you say about coke as I love Pepsi Max but at least it's sugar free 😂Tesco were selling it at £7 for 24 cans before Christmas so I've a garage full to go through!
I do drink alcohol though so you've got me there! 😂

jaelato1 · 07/01/2026 13:37

Well done to everyone who have had a loss (in weight) this week or during the xmas/NY break.

@narcASD Glad you are back on track, pretty sure you'll be seeing the end of that 13 soon and well done for cutting back on the coke

@Clumsykitten Well done and 12st something in sight pretty soon for you too. Lets Go!

@putthehamsterbackinitscage I havent been able to run either in over a week, I am suppose to be staring week 7 but the weather has been shite but I do 45mins -1hr walk most days.

I am doing my weigh in on Friday, hoping to be in a new stone bracket too so fingers crossed!

Shitzngiggles · 07/01/2026 14:33

@jaelato1 good luck with your weigh in.

So I've joined the gym! Haven't been able to do anything exercise wise for a couple of years due to knee pain after a knee replacement 3 years ago. Since being on the jabs the pain has all but gone, so I'm sure it was down to inflammation. Dd joined a gym last week and has encouraged me to join up too and we'll go together. Haven't been to the gym in years, but it feels so good to be able to exercise again with no pain. These jabs really are life changing.

PfizerFan · 07/01/2026 23:15

Happy new year! Hows everyone doing? Despite a blip over xmas i am now 2 stone down. Hurrah! One stone to go. Still on 5mg.. has anybody gone up to 7.5mg yet?

Elliebearblues · 08/01/2026 16:27

Hi all, trying my best to get back on track this week , bit of an odd week with 2 of the kids school being closed at the start of the week due to snow and ice. Then it was my twins 10th birthday yesterday and hubby has the week off this week so it’s one of those I don’t have a clue what I’m doing weeks lol.

i have had a few more takeaways and meals out Christmas / new year than I normally would have due to having family birthdays and obvs Christmas events but am definitely eating not as much as the naughty stuff and realised I haven't gone overboard as much as I have previous years but have had a few more alcoholic drinks than I usually would. Think I put on about 2-3lbs which normally it would be 7+lbs.

Im going to try starting to get my steps in again next week and get back to the gym xx

narcASD · 08/01/2026 19:26

@Elliebearblues happy new year! Wow expensive time of year for you, what with twin birthdays so soon after Christmas. I think the first few weeks of January everyone feels a bit out of sorts, I definitely do!
Ive a 10yo too, as well as a 13yo, it's hard as they constantly want to eat but both are very slim, I'm constantly preparing or cooking food. I'm almost back on track, had a wobble yesterday but jabbed a day early and the suppression has kicked in today.

well done @PfizerFanon your 2st loss, I am on 7.5, feel a bit nauseous on it for the first day or two, not lost much only 1lb in December but it's still something, I'm back to 12.13 again 🤯 lost and gained the same 2lb over the last month. Going up to 10mg next week and will stay at that if I tolerate it.

@jaelato1keep us posted on your weigh in, I find reading others losses helps keep me motivated, and if you've stayed the same or gained, we will be right behind you getting you back on track.

@MeandmypoochI wish I could like Pepsi max, I just can't it's the aspartame in the diet drinks that make me feel sick, I really do want to kick the Coke habit but it's really bloody hard!

narcASD · 08/01/2026 19:30

@Shitzngigglesyay! Fellow gym bunny! It's great you've joined and I find it really helps me, also I'm almost 50 and really need to do strength training, I also go with my teenager but she's autistic and only likes certain machines, it can be a bit boring but I wanted us to do something together as she's socially very shy. We keep each other company.

I've got really bad indigestion from yesterdays jab, also feel quite sick, headache and tired today, early night tonight for me.

Clumsykitten · 08/01/2026 19:47

Getting back into the swing of things and very happy today to measure 82.2kg which is 12st13lb in old money. So happy about this. Thank you all for the encouragement. Now I’m seeing these numbers I’m realising just how much weight I’d put on… it’s a bit shocking actually.

Clumsykitten · 08/01/2026 19:48

I also got indigestion, minor stomach pain and diarrhoea from my jab @narcASD - annoying as it had been getting better

jaelato1 · 08/01/2026 21:40

@narcASD @Shitzngiggles I had a sneak peak on the scale today (could not wait any longer lol) and I have lost 3.5lb since xmas till date so I am very happy with that. I have 1lb more to lose and I'll be in the 10. @narcASD Well done for being back in the 12, I am sure it will continue to go down esp with all the measure you have back in place.

@Clumsykitten Well done to you as well! Yes to new stone bracket. I absolutely agree with being oblivion to the weight gain until it really creeps up on you, I am on the short side so my weight gain was obvious but then I have always being overweight most of my adult life but the older I get, the more uncomfortable I became, thanks to MJ.

@Elliebearblues Happy New Year! 2-3lbs is a win when compared to 7 so well done! Walking is so underrated, I lose more weight the weeks I do longer walks at level 2 heart rate zone.

@PfizerFan Amazing, well done! Looking forward to the day I only have 1st left to lose

Re: fizzy drinks… I don’t normally drink them very often at all, but I’ve been finding Sambucol Immuno Forte 15 Effervescent Tablets are really tasty and thirst quenching. they are elderberry flavoured. They also have the added bonus of giving me vitamins and energy when the MJ makes me drained. If you put them with a pint of fizzy cold water they are just like a nice fizzy drink. No aspartame either. I hate that too.

Clumsykitten · 08/01/2026 22:35

I know what you mean @jaelato1 - it was noticeable and uncomfortable on me too. I realise that I was having “fat person” problems… like feeling sweaty or finding it harder to do things and bend. I do actually feel a bit lighter now, and I am definitely enjoying no longer feeling quite so overweight. It’s weird though, because I am still overweight despite losing that weight… I don’t quite know what I am trying to say, but I am grateful for the encouragement here.

ps - my diet today was a bit rubbish. Thanks to MJ I didn’t eat that much overall but it certainly wasn’t lean and healthy.

narcASD · 09/01/2026 07:01

Morning all, weighed this morning and 12.11 I'm so excited as finally going downwards!

my eldest now is married and lives with her husband but the rest are at home . My 19yr olds son was a week before Christmas Eve too so yes we’ve been extra busy lol.

My eldest DD was born on the 28th December (she was due boxing day!) I've always tried to separate Christmas and her Birthday so they don't blend together and she didn't feel as if she was missing out! Her sister was born in the middle of summer which is a damned sight easier! 😂

StrongLikeMamma · 09/01/2026 17:43

Arrgh I am about to get ready to go out tonight and have a massively bloated stomach and bad indigestion pain 🙈
I had a banana for breakfast, went to the gym then had a massive omelette for lunch - it’s soo painful 😰
Have taken a Rennie but it’s not shifting. Any ideas?

Clumsykitten · 09/01/2026 19:07

@StrongLikeMamma - it’s horrible isn’t it? I can only suggest enough water, and more rennie. I take an omeprazole sometimes too.
