Feeling a bit meh this week. Been on Wegovny 2 months and lost 7llbs. Hardly earth shattering. Going to have to increase steps I think or do something else!

narcASD · 31/12/2025 11:40

@putthehamsterbackinitscage I am the same, by day 5 I feel back to normal hunger & cravings, last night are loads of biscuits despite me putting them out of site!
I'm going to jab today which is a day earlier as can't seem to get out of the 12.13-13st plateau and psychologically it's getting me down. Good job on your weight loss, don't think I've lost 3lb in a week since the early days!

narcASD · 31/12/2025 11:59

@bleakmidwintering I know what you mean but 7lb is a good dent, it has been difficult with Christmas and extra socialising.

Clumsykitten · 31/12/2025 13:05

I hear you @bleakmidwintering - but half a stone is a great weight loss. When I was feeling that way, I reminded myself that I’ve never lost that much and kept it off. So it’s as important to focus on consolidation as weight loss. Apparently it takes 6 months for the body to get used to a new weight, and once it’s been there (or not there) for 6 months the body stops trying to fight it.

Clumsykitten · 31/12/2025 13:12

Haha… @putthehamsterbackinitscage - the “slim friend status” thing made me laugh. I think that is slightly depressingly accurate. I have only told my DH and one friend who I know won’t judge or tell people. I’m hoping also that gradual weight loss (in big winter jumper season!) is easier to just gently slide past people without comment.

@Shitzngiggles - I definitely think keeping the dose as low as possible is a good strategy for those it works for.

bleakmidwintering · 31/12/2025 14:34

Thank you. I think Christmas has derailed me and I actually can’t wait to get back on track next week.

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 31/12/2025 16:54

@Clumsykitten I too think it is sadly very accurate - I know that as soon as we head out of winter and start shedding layers, I’ll start to get comments from some friends…. Been there before 😬 they’ll be along the lines of don’t lose any more …. You’re too thin etc when actually, like everyone else, my target is a healthy bmi for my height and frame.

and I’m sure the comments about jabs will happen too - my DH knows (he is also on them) but nobody else.

But, I don’t actually care that much - I’m going thus for me to be healthier and to look better in photos too…. Which will make me happier too.

Clumsykitten · 31/12/2025 17:44

Well exactly @putthehamsterbackinitscage - I’m definitely doing this for myself not others

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 01/01/2026 10:08

Sorry about yesterdays poor typing….

started the year with jab 12….
weigh in last night means I’m now 16lbs from target…. 6.25 mg this time - hoping side effects will be ok and suppression stays the same as it’s currently ok - I can eat and occasionally feel hungry but I’m not over eating and only limited drinks too - was the most sober New Year in a long time!

Elliebearblues · 01/01/2026 11:56

Happy new year everyone here’s to a healthier and slimmer 2026. How is everyone doing? I’m feeling so much better in myself p. I haven’t ate half as much as usual and even our annual Tennessee chicken I would have had 2 chicken, chips, bbq beans and coleslaw I literally had a child portion the same as my 10yr old twins last night as I knew I wouldn’t manage it, I’d normally eat the same as my hubby. What a difference!

I’ve had a few more treats than the average normal week such as mince pies and Christmas cake but I know I’ll get back on it and I’m not overeating so feel reasurred xx

Moosey898 · 01/01/2026 12:09

Happy new year all. I'm now 11.7kg down or 25.7lbs which I'm so pleased with. Weighed in this morning at my lowest weight, a nice way to start the year! Especially since I haven't been tracking anything, just making sure I still make good decisions and not over indulge too much. Definitely ate a lot of cake over the last couple of weeks 😂

StrongLikeMamma · 01/01/2026 20:46

Clumsykitten · 31/12/2025 17:44

Well exactly @putthehamsterbackinitscage - I’m definitely doing this for myself not others

Absolutely not doing it for anyone else.
I had one friend say to me recently “oh you’ve got cheekbones!” - yes they’re my cheekbones and they have always been there 🙄
I’m 4lbs off the 2st mark, which fits with what others have said about when people start noticing. I just hate it. Makes me feel judged.
I’m still not at a healthy BMI so intend to lose at least another stone and a half.
I guess it’s partly that no one notices at first, so once they do notice, it seems very quick. Tedious. But I guess they’ll get over it.

Clumsykitten · 02/01/2026 00:09

Well done @StrongLikeMamma! The 2 stone mark is such a big milestone I think.

jaelato1 · 04/01/2026 20:46

Happy New Year Everyone!

I know 2026 will be year alot of us will be in our goal weight and continue to maintain it. Full reset for me starting from today and weekly accountability in full swing. Got 2.5st (0.5 inc as buffer) to lose to be at GW.

Quite inspiring when you put it that way @jaelato1!

StrongLikeMamma · 04/01/2026 22:14

Happy New Year @jaelato1!
Had jab number 12 this pm.
2 more stone to shift here in order to get me bang in the middle of a healthy bmi range. Let’s do this 🙌

narcASD · 05/01/2026 19:22

How's everyone getting on?
I have found the last 2 weeks really hard and have to really watch what I'm putting in my mouth from now on. Too many biscuits and snacking has crept back in, back to work today so hoping the routine will help.

Being so cold all the time is not helping, it's been boring too and despite going to the gym I've stayed the same weight for pretty much all of December.

Goal for end of Jan is to be 12.7 although will settle for 12.9, just to get away from the bloody 13's, keep going from 12.13-13.5 for the last 4 weeks 🤯

Shitzngiggles · 05/01/2026 19:54

@narcASD that's annoying and frustrating for you. What dose are you on, is it worth thinking about increasing it? Good that you're still going to the gym as you will still be building muscle.

narcASD · 05/01/2026 21:03

Thanks @Shitzngiggles
I am on 7.5, one more week of it then I've got a 10mg pen to start. I've just come back from a 40 minute weighted power walk so no way am I reaching for junk tonight, bath, cuppa and bed for me.
how are things going for you?

cheekysausage123 · 05/01/2026 21:53

With you @narcASD, basically at the same weight, up to 13st today but was down to 12st 12 the other day, just fluttering around in that area. I’m still on 5mg so going to see how it is continuing with it now the festivities are out of the way, we’ve got this! And you’re doing a fab job going to the gym, it’ll definitely be helping the muscle.

Clumsykitten · 05/01/2026 22:06

Weigh in tomorrow for me @narcASD - and I feel a bit apprehensive. I’ve been eating too much this last week and just not sticking to my diet. It may be time to go up for me too.

narcASD · 05/01/2026 22:24

@Clumsykitten@cheekysausage123 ah thank you, I feel better knowing I'm not the only one (in a nice way of course).
so frustrating but only myself to blame as the saying goes "little pickers wear bigger knickers"
good luck with you weigh in tomorrow @Clumsykittenkeep us posted.

lets say goodbye to the 13's Cheeky and the 12.13 can sod off too, been good today and plan to keep it that way, no midnight munching for me tonight!

bleakmidwintering · 06/01/2026 04:50

I’ve dropped a 1ish this week after being stationary over Xmas weeks. I’m 11 stone 2 now. Getting under 11 will be a big deal for me.

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 06/01/2026 08:26

Morning all. Jab day again for me… list 1.4 lbs last week. Mid week weigh in was better due to a lot of exercise over the holiday period but some of that went back in instantly with going back to sitting in front of a laptop all day and not being keen to get out to walk or run due to the icy pavement around here. We he ave had huge amounts of snow - just enough to make everything really slippy.

Stuck at 6.25 this time - increasing gradually with this pen to avoid too much fatigue or other side effects creeping in. Generally though no real issues other than good suppression that wears off by day 5.

i have about a stone to target now so I’m hoping to get there late March before I go on holiday.

@Clumsykittenand @narcASDits always hard to get out of Christmas habits in January - don’t beat yourselves up if it takes a few days… January is my least favourite month with the short days and weather usually being too cold, too icy, too wet etc….

Clumsykitten · 06/01/2026 09:43

Well, by some miracle I have lost another 0.8kgs this week. I think I need to remember that actually it’s ok to eat a bit of something yummy, but not to go overboard, and maybe cut back elsewhere.

I have realised that I have nearly lost all the weight from baby 2… I think at 80kgs I will give myself a small round of applause! But it also makes me realise how much weight I’d gained in the last year or two. I’m actually shocked, but it really has crept up and up.
