@StrongLikeMamma yeah, I dont mind too much talking about it with close friends but I don't really want people discussing it behind my back. I feel like its quite private information. My friend was really apologetic this morning but I would have been upset if it had been a bigger group of people there.

Ahhhhh weighed in and still 13.2 😩 which is week 3 of not moving in the scales, I know it’s not just about the scales but I’m fed up of seeing it not move downward 😡
rant over

It can be so frustrating but you’re honestly doing amazingly. Hopefully those scales will start moving soon xx

I was listening to Dr Berg on why we don't see weight loss reflect on scale sometimes and one thing he said that I didn't consider before was that the weeks we don't see the loss on scale, it might be because we are losing fat that are around our organs, those losses don't show in scale. So if there is any consolation, remember we can't choose where our body decides to burn fat but be rest assured you are losing fat.

@putthehamsterbackinitscage I have to move my scale about 3 times to get correct reading, first reading is always wrong, 2nd and 3rd reading are always the same so I go with that.

I am also on the small side so we need to have even lower calories to lose weight and maintain after weight loss🙄, which can be a pain sometimes as I always get hungry on days I go for run too.

@jaelato1I don’t fully trust my scales either as they can fluctuate in around 0.5 lb in 10 mins with no reason 1st thing in the morning but I do weigh often as they show patterns - I look at the trend graph and it generally shows around 2lb every 7 days even if an individual reading is not what I wanted to see.

This week I’ve also lapsed from recording food intake but I know I am roughly eating at the same level most days, and I find if I record then I get focussed on staying under target every day so it’s better not to know. My app says no more than about 860 calls to lose 2lbs which is way too low to eat properly as well, so I am trying to just make sure I eat something for lunch and dinner and then have protein shakes etc to top up protein where I can. Being short and small framed s and mid 50s means that the closer I get to target, the less calories there are to play with so it’s a case of making them count where possible.

i also find I’m hungrier on days when I exercise and allow some extra fuel for that - eg a banana before going for a run or similar.

My scales did something weird to me today. Randomly gave me two readings in the space of 20 mins that were neatly 2kgs apart. I didn’t drink 4 pints of water or anything 😆

Scales have added 5lbs to me in a day following a gym visit before! I think we fluctuate all the time. That’s why it’s good to weigh weekly.

I’m in 2 minds here as to whether to stick with 2.5mgs… struggling to eat more than 1000cals a day, but am definitely seeing a bit of a plateau this week. I was going to just ride it out. Because the first couple of weeks on 2.5 were a bit horrible with lack of energy and I couldn’t exercise.

I like the idea of staying low… makes me feel that coming off will be easier somehow

Arrrg need to decide and cant seem to chose…

Thank you for this. It’s very reassuring!

@putthehamsterbackinitscage @Moosey898 I have only gone and bloody done it!! Week 5 run 3 smashed today. I cannot believe some weeks ago I was dreading week 2 run🤭

@StrongLikeMammaI actually upped my dose to 3mg this week for the first time on Thursday and the suppression was stronger even by the tiny jump. I have lost 1.5lb on thurs before jab but I'm guessing it was due to my metabolic reset via IF as i havent lost that much in a while but I have lost another 1lb this morning.

Thinking a half way dose might be the best plan.

Moosey898 · 21/12/2025 19:36

@jaelato1 you spurred me on today - did my first non stop 5k all running in at least 3 years! So pleased 😁

Haven't lost any weight this week, but honestly I don't care. I'm getting into a better life rhythm and my focus right now is overall health ahead of February.

Clumsykitten · 21/12/2025 21:54

Well done @Moosey898and @jaelato1😍

Lovesabadboy · 21/12/2025 23:01

You are all doing fabulously! Well done!

Jab 11 for me today - still on 2.5mg as it is still effective.

I am now 23lbs down in 10 weeks (one of those weeks had no loss) and am now starting to see a bit of a difference in my body shape and feel a difference in my mobility.
I think I am going to have to get some new clothes soon, but I don't want to spend a lot of money on the interim sizes, so I am planning on taking a trip around the charity shops in the New Year when people may have had a pre-Christmas turn out...quite looking forward to it!

I am a little concerned about lots of goodies being around over Christmas - cheese is my nemesis - so I am hoping that the 2.5mg can continue to support me through the next week!

StrongLikeMamma · 22/12/2025 06:24

@LovesabadboyI’ve caved and ordered a 5mg for my 4th pen. I actually gained a couple of lbs this week, despite still eating less than 1000 cals every day.
I’m thinking I’ll start with 3mgs and see him that goes.

narcASD · 22/12/2025 10:32

Morning all
took my first full dose of 7.5 Friday and have felt awful since. So tired and lethargic plus quite a bit of reflux, nausea and headache . I was micro dosing for a while so will go back to that as it’s floored me.
I think I’m coming down with something too.

well done @jaelato1

That seems like a good move @StrongLikeMamma . I think once it starts not working then it must be time to go up.
I will be interested to hear how the 3mg goes.

@narcASD - I hope the rough feeling is only temporary...you really don't want to be feeling under the weather so close to Christmas. Fingers crossed it passes soon.

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 22/12/2025 11:04

@jaelato1- well done! Once you get that one done, it all seems much more possible.

i need to get out more - still on week 6 as not run much fir the last 2 weeks….

@Moosey898- that’s great that you got out for the full 5k…. Sounds like things are going really well for you just now so fingers crossed for a great Christmas and a good start to 2026.

@StrongLikeMamma stepping up gradually is probably a good idea. When I went up to 5mg the fatigue was something else. I stuck with it and by week 4 it improved a lot. @narcASD Hope you start to feel better soon. I did 6mg as golden dose on Saturday and have stomach cramps etc that I haven’t had before - I think I’m tempted to stick with 6 mg out of my 7.5 pen next time to see how that goes before stepping up further.

Hope everyone is ok this week… it’s hard to know what dose etc to take and how to manage food to avoid issues and cope with socialising and family….

Meandmypooch · 22/12/2025 11:33

Hi, everyone seems to be doing well!
11th weigh in for me and another 1.9kg lost (4lb in old money) making 21.8 kg lost in total (48lb)
Staying on 5mg for next pen as it's going so well and I don't want to upset things.

Meandmypooch · 22/12/2025 11:41

I stocked up on veg with the cheap veg offers on at the moment and had a bag with 10kg of veg in it and it was heavy!! it then struck me that it was half of what I've lost in weight!! shocking!!

jaelato1 · 22/12/2025 13:17

Thank you all!

@Moosey898Well done you! I still wonder if I can do 5k non stop when the programme ends but will shall see.

@putthehamsterbackinitscageI hear week 6 is actually harder due to those intervals in run 1&2. I am going to start it this evening or tomorrow morning.

In other good news, I have lost another 1lb this morning making. I only have 0.8lb to hit 2st of fat loss.

Moosey898 · 22/12/2025 13:54

Thanks @jaelato1 !

I think you will - I've done another couple of weeks of runs, it took me 34:30 to complete the 5k so I just kept going at 30min, then did 33min then the 5k 😊

StrongLikeMamma · 17/12/2025 11:02

I’m hitting a bit of a plateau I think.
Did jab number 9 on Monday and feel as though I have been bobbing up and down between 13st and 12st12lbs all week.
I’m sticking with 2.5mg as am still failing to eat more than 1000 cals a day. So I presume I’ll have to wait this out 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m exactly the same as you! Same weight too and staying on 2.5mg. Hoping to jump on the scales for a surprise loss soon! 🙏

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 22/12/2025 15:28

@jaelato1i have heard that as well - I found it ok for runs 1 & 2 and have just come back from run 3 - 25 mins non-stop. All good except for the up hill bits 😂 I did manage them but it felt tough, and now I’m back I am so tempted by an afternoon nap. 6mg seems to have brought back some fatigue along with stomach issues so I might drop back to 5mg next jab.

good luck with w6!

@Moosey898 well done on 5k under 35 mins … that’s fab and sets you a nice target to gradually creep down towards 30 mins…
