Weighing today but decided not to as its time of the month and I feel very bloated.

@narcASD - I hope the rough feeling is only temporary...you really don't want to be feeling under the weather so close to Christmas. Fingers crossed it passes soon.

I just find it a bit frustrating that I’m not really eating more. Ah well will wait until after the festivities then gradually increase.

@putthehamsterbackinitscage You have given me hope that. I wasn't able to rubbish e ending do tomorrow morning it is. You are on 6mg? I just upped to 3mg this week and I plan to stay there for as long as I can. Hope you get your energy back soon.

@Moosey898 Wow....I do 3.5km in same amount of time as your 5k. I hoping my pace will increase with time.

@StrongLikeMamma can I suggest you dont eat carb for 1-2 week or reduce it to like 30grams a day and completely cut off any form of sugar?

This has been helped me alot! I didnt know until recently that our body will not burn fat as long as we eat carb or sugar as it will rather burn those for our source of energy, now imagine some of us eat some sort of carb or sugar various times in a day so our body might never need to burn fat for energy. However, if there is no carb or sugar to burn only then does our body goes into the fat storage and start burning the fat for energy, fat loss equals movement on scale.

I do eat low carb usually… I think the couple of glasses of wine & food I’ve had at work xmas party may have stalled me.
It’s going to be hard abstaining over the festivities. I have a LOT of people coming here. Will keep my protein up!

Well, that’s week 10 for me, and 8.6kgs lost. I’ve definitely slowed down a bit but coping with holiday eating and the odd drink ok. I’m sticking with 3.75 for now, but may go up to 5 if I’m struggling after Christmas.

You guys are very inspiring. I must admit, I’m trying to keep my protein up and carbs down but otherwise I’m just going for a bit lighter and less. I’m sure I could lose faster but this feels ok as a balance? Definitely needing more willpower than week 1!!

I’m feeling exhausted after my jab on Sunday. Not sure if it’s the jab or if i’m coming down with something… Have dropped another 2lbs today so maybe the blip it’s ok. I’m prepared with the next dose up for after Xmas and new year, should I need it… I’m so excited to lose more, but will eek it out as others have said, if I need to.
Can’t be doing the golden dose. I’m too needle phobic. Even the pens slightly disturb me 🙄

so, after 3 days of eating very little I have eaten quite a lot today, can’t say all of it has been healthy either! I ate 2 bounty bars as well, must’ve needed the junk to compensate for the last few days.

weighed in this morning at 12.13, weighed twice as I couldn’t believe it, won’t weigh again until Friday now as tomorrow morning will likely say 13 again and it’ll annoy me 🤣

going to the gym tomorrow as it’s only open half day, then closing until the 28th, I need to work out more regularly as I’ve no routine, guess it’s that time of year though.

hope everyone has a lovely Christmas, I’ll be trying to avoid overeating!

Hi all, I wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas. I hope those of you that are poorly feel better soon. All good here things are steady and lost another 1.4lbs last week. I’m not expecting a loss this week as I’ve been out for meals and obviously it’s Christmas. I did go down to 2.5mg this week as I had 12.5mg left in my pen so figured Christmas week was the best week to go lower then I will go back to my normal 5mg over the weekend. Touch wood the 5mg is still giving me good suppression and thank god I’m over the worst of the side effects as at one point I was considering giving up. I can slowly see my body changing and feel so much better for it xx

hope you got out for your run yesterday and all was good.
Yes - I’m up to 6mg as golden dose from my 5mg pen - I am thinking I’ll do a couple of weeks at 6mg from my 7.5 pen next and slowly ease up as the fatigue when I first moved to 5mg was strong and this week I has some cramps etc though I think that’s partly due to not drinking enough- since i consciously increased my intake of electrolytes and other guilds I have felt a lot better.

@Clumsykittenwell done! You will be absolutely fine and once Christmas is over the jabs will be the support to get through January and lose even more!

@StrongLikeMammayour graph is clearly showing it was just a delay and you’re on track…. Hope you’re not feeling too ill!

@narcASDit could easily be coming down with something. Don’t beat yourself up if the scales do go back up - it’ll be temporary!

@Elliebearbluesand everyone - gave a happy Christmas… I’m looking forward to starting the New Year without having gained loads and eaten too much chocolate…. Should be easy as I still don’t fancy it !

good start to the day with small loss on scales, then parkrun which should have been couch to 5k week 7 run 1 but I ran the whole 5k with DH and finished under 37 minutes…

now trying not to eat too much and to limit the wine….

3.75 is 45 clicks rather than the full 60 - so I go up to “1” and then click 15 backwards and keep reminding myself it doesn’t matter 1 or 2 clicks either way.

The reason I like this also is that it means you can do 5 doses from the pen with no messing about. So no “golden dose” faff but also 5 doses is 28 days so you don’t need to worry about the fridge after you opened it, and it’s just that 5mg didn’t agree with me but 3.75 was a lot better. (Although I have small kids so I’m never sure whether it’s a side effect or yet another virus!)

@jaelato1 - that’s awesome, you’ve already gone more than w5r3! Well done!

Christmas has really not done much damage at all so far- got a few days away now - lots of eating out, wine etc but aiming not to gain, then refocus in the New Year.

Running wise, I’ve got a 5k event coming up, and will then continue post couch 2 5k building stamina by repeating 5k runs before trying to step up distance or speed.

Jab 11 today - did 6mg from my 7.5 pen this time, so Sam’s as last week’s golden dose. I’ll see what side effects I have this week before deciding on next week’s dose.

My aim before week 9 is to do a parkrun so I can start getting into the rhythm early. I also ate more than normal on Christmas eve and Christmas, I took my jab as usual on Christmas evening so I have only been able to eat small bits and pieces today which I don't mind because I ate quite a bit chocolate yesterday and enjoyed every bit🤭
