Oooh, I’ve just realised I might get into the 12s stone-wise by Christmas. This is definitely the best Christmas present for me!!!

Clumsykitten · 15/12/2025 09:09

@narcASD- sounds like we’ve had a bit of a similar time? I got sick, missed a jab, felt too ill to eat sensibly and then started to feel rubbish. Glad you are feeling back on track too!

Thanks @jaelato1for your really helpful post to @Shitzngiggles- that helped me too. Some days I can see it, some days I feel like nothing has changed. But I know my clothes are looser, I’m finding it easier to do stuff I think (illness and side-effects aside) and generally it must be doing my health some good too.

The other thing I need we all need to think… if we have a plateau week or two… when was the last time you managed to lose this much and keep it off? That’s what plateau weeks are - they are consolidating our gains!!!

@RachSt12- that doesn’t sound slow, you’ve done really well.

Well done @Calyx72! That’s incredible

That’s amazing! x

narcASD · 15/12/2025 17:11

@Clumsykitten you having a wobble has made me feel more human! I was so sick I couldn’t eat for 2 days, nothing but water passed my lips, soon as I felt better I started craving junk & chocolate 😩 glad to say I’m over that hurdle as I put on 5lbs, lost 6lb now so down 1lb, but it’s taken weeks!

to be in the 12’s will be fantastic as it’s been almost 10 years since I was that low!

Meandmypooch · 15/12/2025 17:40

Hi all, 11th jab today, staying on 5mg as it's going so well. 😁
10th weigh in;
SW 129.1 kg
CW 109.2 kg
Xmas TW 110 kg
So 2.4kg or 5lb down this week and I've hit my Christmas target over a week early and I'm past 3 stone lost I can't believe how well it's going!

jaelato1 · 15/12/2025 17:43

Finally doing thorough catch ups today on all posts.....

@cheekysausage123 You are doing amazing! I have 2.5st to go before target weight, the 0.5st is a buffer for me.

@Calyx72 Please keep us posted as I also need a strategy for when the plateau hits.

@DakotaFanny I'll stick to 3.75 for now especially if you are feeling tired. Maybe up it when your body as fully adjusted to 5mg.

@putthehamsterbackinitscage How was your weekend away, hope you had a great time!

@Elliebearblues So glad you've finally found your sweet spot on MJ and great loss too x

@RachSt12 1lb a week is not slow at all, sometimes I lose 0.5lbs a week and I take it has win because my losses dont reflected on scales on time.

@Clumsykitten Amazing!!! Plateau is scary but I have started IF to shock my metabolism so my body doesnt adapt to my routine which how how plateau begins.

@narcASD You've got this! We have all had a wobble, the most important thing is that you are back on the right path.

@Meandmypooch You keep smashing this! I have 3kg to shift before end of the year to be at GW for the yr

OP posts:
narcASD · 15/12/2025 19:42

@jaelato1 ah thank you, what type of IF are you doing? 16:8, 5:2, or something different? I think it will be good for me as I am a picker when it comes to food.

might try it as got a few meals out planned over Christmas, I’ve been plodding and need to boost my metabolism.

narcASD · 15/12/2025 19:47

@Meandmypoochfantastic weight loss, I had to work it out in stones and pounds as can’t get my head around kg’s. 5lb is a great weight loss considering your 11 weeks in. I’ve 2lb to lose to hit my Christmas target, hoping I can do it as the last few weeks have been a hard, losing and gaining the same few pounds, my diet had been haywire though!

can you share your meals that you have / what you eat in a day kind of thing? need some motivation!

jaelato1 · 15/12/2025 20:04

@narcASD I have been advised by seasoned IFers to mix it up to keep my body guessing so my metabolism doesn't slow itself down. So I mix it up doing 16:8, 18:6, 19:5, 20:4 and I just completed my first 24hrs today. Chatgbt advices me to do 24hrs fast once every 7 days.

I am incorporating in my routine now because it will be part of my maintenance when I eventually come off MJ.

You have to remember that I'm starting from a high starting point and have a lot to lose so percentage wise others are probably losing more (I don't want to discourage people who aren't losing as much as me!)

Breakfast is 2 black coffees
Lunch is salad with chicken, Tuna or 2 boiled eggs or sometimes marmite on 4 Ryvitas and a banana
Dinner is 2 fillets of white fish with plenty of veg
or Chicken with veg or a low calorie ready meal with veg.
Odd snack of bananas or pistachios or mixed dried fruit with nuts.
Oh and plenty of water!

Sorry if I'm being a bit dim here but what's IF ?

Ah, thank you!

narcASD · 16/12/2025 19:40

@Meandmypoochwow that’s hardcore, I wouldn’t survive more than a day 🤣
what was your starting weight?
I was 15st 6lb on 1st October now hovering between 13.2 & 13.4, keep losing & gaiing the same 2lb 😡 it’s like a battle of the wills to get into the 12’s, I know scales aren’t everything but psychologically I need to see 12 something!

Starting weight was 20st 4lb current weight 17st 3lb
I need to get down to 12st 6lb for a healthy weight for my height 5ft 10 so a long way to go but it's a good start!

narcASD · 16/12/2025 20:16

wow to lose 3st is fantastic what an achievement! You’ve lost a third of your goal already!

I am a shortie at 5ft 3 so ideally would like to be 9st 7lb (half a stone buffer), although the smallest I’ve been as an adult is 10st 4. Been feeling stronger today, last night I ate 2 bags of chocolate coins 🤯

What is amazing being on these jabs is the fact that I have a house full of all different chocolates for peoples presents (including chocolate coins 😂) and haven't even being tempted to scoff the lot! normally I'd be having to replace half of them! 😢😂

We run a small business. We've got our client and staff Christmas party tomorrow. We will be inundated with boxes of chocolates and biscuits and bottles of wine. I won't be touching any of it simply because I'm just not interested anymore. It's a great feeling.

Same!! I usually have replaced the celebrations or heroes at least once by now 😂

StrongLikeMamma · 17/12/2025 11:02

I’m hitting a bit of a plateau I think.
Did jab number 9 on Monday and feel as though I have been bobbing up and down between 13st and 12st12lbs all week.
I’m sticking with 2.5mg as am still failing to eat more than 1000 cals a day. So I presume I’ll have to wait this out 🤷🏻‍♀️

jaelato1 · 17/12/2025 11:49

@StrongLikeMamma Have you re-calulated your tdee since losing weight? apparently our calorie intake is suppose to reduce as we lose weight. My new calorie intake is now 973 from 1200 based on current weight. If you are still within your deficit then it might be time to give your metabolism a reset.

I have not eaten any chocolate since i started MJ but I have every intentions of indulging on christmas and boxing day if my stomach allows it😅

SexyFrenchDepression · 17/12/2025 16:26

I am hoping to enjoy some cheese and chocolate but not too much of it! I havent bought loads of stuff this year, I have been eating cleanly completely since 1st November so it will be hard to relax it all a bit but moderation will be fine hopefully, I have lost more than I was expecting so far so I won't stress too much 🤞
