I'm the same at the moment every last calorie gets logged 😂but I don't want to miss out on Christmas Dinner, sherry, the odd mice pie! so I'll give the calorie counting a miss for a few days.

The thing is that 'normal' people will enjoy xmas dinner and the usual treat and all the leftovers boxing day but I basically buy enough Christmas food for 2 weeks and wade through it! This time I am not buying much and I wont want to eat much either hopefully so even if I have cheese & biscuits or a mince pie I'll be eating normally the rest of the time.

I will be on my 4th 3.75mg jab Christmas day so depending on how the next 2 goes I may alter the days so I can enjoy it more. I was really unwell the day after my 1st one last week but I came on also which always makes me extremely ill so I hopefully will be ok after this week's jab!

We're having Christmas day at my eldest DD's so that makes it easier as I won't be tempted by any leftovers 😂

So I skipped because I had what I’m pretty sure was the flu, and didn’t want to make things worse. I caught up last night so about 5 days late, but went back down to 2.5mg because I was a bit scared of the side effects. All been fine and back on track with suppression etc today.

Good to know thanks. And glad you’re feeling better! 🎉

Definitely makes things easier, the kids (older teens) dont know I am on the jabs but we have no one over this year for Christmas so I am going to say its not worth buying loads of stuff, I very much doubt they'll notice anyway!

I've only told my youngest DD that I'm 'on the jabs' the rest will be wondering why I've not sent pics of my mince pie stash to the family whatsapp group 😂

Ooo! Where did you do that?Jo

Calyx72 · 11/12/2025 21:45

Good going everyone! I am increasing calories as I said in a previous post, to reduce again end January, the aim is to let my cortisol reduce, have energy for lifting weights, to build muscle. Staying on 2.5 mg the whole time. I will put some lbs on though until end January when i aim go back down to 1200 calories and weight will hopefully drop again.

I was plateau-ing and really didn’t want to increase dose, drop calories and lose muscle and hair.

So I will keep looking on here but probably won’t post.
Good luck all!

Oh thanks for sharing @jaelato1

Interesting update @Calyx72really hope it works for you, we’re with you in spirit!

How’s everyone doing? I’m still plodding along but hit my first goal today so I’m feeling pleased, down from 14st 10lb to 13st. My ultimate goal is about 11st so still some way to go but it feels good to see real change on the scales. Smile

Calyx72 · 12/12/2025 08:18

Thanks @cheekysausage123interestingly after almost 2 weeks of increased calories to 1650, this morning my weight is the lowest its been yet! Not expecting that to last but it was nice this morning!

i’m away for the weekend now so taking last night as my weigh in ahead of jab 9 tomorrow night, I’m down 17.2 lbs in 7 weeks (I have had a few jabs a day or 2 early).

I’m really happy with that, and as I approach my 4th 5 mg jab the fatigue seems to be easing even with a heavy cold this week.

i don’t seem to notice suppression as such but get about half way through dinner and run out of steam, and I have little urge to snack at all. I haven’t eaten chocolate since I started, and I haven’t missed it either…. That’s an absolute miracle!

RachSt12 · 13/12/2025 08:42

Morning,
I started on the 1st October.
Ive slowly been chipping away with a 1lb loss each week; slow going but I’m now 1st 1lb loss.
I generally eat well, just too much and lots of snacking which I’ve curbed.
This week is the first week, I lost a couple of lbs in the week but stepped on for my weekly weigh and actually doesn’t show a weekly loss. Weirdly though my husband said I’ve lost lots of weight and my trousers feel so much looser this week. I guess I just need to keep going and hopefully the scales will budge soon.
Is anyone else a slow looser? I don’t mind so much as without MJ I wasn’t able to loose anything, it’s more the expense. I’d still like to lose another 2stone.

StrongLikeMamma · 13/12/2025 15:25

It’s the end of week 8
I’ve lost 2.6lbs on average a week
20lbs down
I’m 5ft8
SW 14.4 St/lbs
CW 12.12 st/lbs
TW 10.7 st/lbs

So another 2.5 st to go!
I’ll be happy at 11st but thinking a buffer before stoping WLIs would probably be helpful.

Hoping to feel a lot better in the summer next year when the nice weather is upon us!

Is anyone else building in a buffer?

Elliebearblues · 13/12/2025 18:21

Well done everyone you’re all doing amazing. I lost 2.8lbs this week taking me into another stone bracket of the 11’s I’m so chuffed 😊 even had Christmas dinner and Christmas pudding out Wednesday as well.
Apart from last Saturday where I had diarrhoea and sickness out of nowhere I’ve had a great week, the nausea has settled down in the last few weeks thank goodness so feeling more myself.

I went to a kids Christmas party this afternoon and my son brought me over a Kit Kat, penguin biscuit, Biscoff biccie, crisps and I didn’t even feel tempted to eat any of it. Normally I would have enjoyed a good scoff but it was like nah I don’t want it. Big realisation that’s the food noise has gone. I’m quite amazed xx

cheekysausage123 · 13/12/2025 18:29

This is fabulous @StrongLikeMamma 🫶🏻

Brilliant work @Elliebearblues! And amazing on the NSV of not wanting the party food either!

DakotaFanny · 14/12/2025 07:51

Hi everyone,

I’m 9 weeks in and 16lbs down. I’m about to turn 50 and was really struggling to lose any weight at all before the shots, so although it’s been pretty slow compared to loads of people here, I’m really happy with these results. I’ve been doing 3.75 for the last month and was going to move up to 5 but I’m not sure whether to. I felt totally exhausted for the first couple of weeks on 3.75 so not sure whether to just stick at this dosage for now, especially with Christmas coming up…

hope everyone else is doing well!

Moosey898 · 14/12/2025 09:52

I've lost track of how long I've been on the jabs, I think 10 weeks. 22lbs or 10kg down as of this morning. Hoping to lose another 2kg before the end of the year now that I'm on the jabs another couple of weeks (IVF to start in Feb hopefully).

Definitely have some body dsymorphia feelings happening - I look in the mirror and can't tell that I've lost anything but my clothes are getting loose so clearly I have!

Shitzngiggles · 14/12/2025 10:52

I've not lost anything for 2 weeks. Feeling a bit disheartened as I was doing so well. I'm staying well within my calories so it's not because I'm eating more than I have been. This always happens to me, I once had a 6 week plateau, if I remember rightly I think I gave up at that point. That's not an option this time, just hope it starts shifting again soon.

jaelato1 · 14/12/2025 14:17

@Shitzngiggles Dont be discouraged, I also dont see immediate loss on scale hence why I do the 360 body map which helps see how much my body is changing. This is why the non scale victories are just as important, do you feel better, does your clothes fit better or face look a bit slimmer? Then you are on the right direction, the scale just has not caught up yet because sometimes our fat loss are mask by water retention.

@Moosey898 I have lost same amount as you as sometimes, when i look in the mirror I see the difference and some days I don't see it but see the old me. The 360 body map has been game changer for me as well as taking before and after pics every month to remind myself that my body is changing and I am not the old body anymore.

@jaelato1 thank you, yes I know you're right and that's exactly what I would be saying to anyone else. I have dropped a dress size and clothes definitely look better so I need to give my head a wobble don't I 🤦‍♀️

It's so strange how we can't see the changes ourselves isn't it! I look at my legs in particular and think they look as big, if not bigger than before! Which I know can't be true.

narcASD · 14/12/2025 20:47

hi all, good to see loses are still happening and well done @Elliebearbluesto be in the 11’s whoop whopp, amazing.

@Shitzngigglesyou have done fantastic it is annoying to not lose though, still, keep at it.
I am now 13.2 but found the last few weeks really hard, picking and not eating properly. All started when I got really unwell but I’m back in the zone now.
I too feel bigger than when I started when I catch myself in the mirror sometimes, I think it’s denial of how big I was, I’ve lost over 2st so definitely slimmer, just not slim……. Yet!

Joined The gym today so hopefully by eating better and exercising I’ll be in the 12’s soon.

Currently on 7.5 and going up to 10 in a week, sadly the lower doses don’t work much for me.

Clumsykitten · 15/12/2025 09:02

Ok, so after a bit of a wobble, I’m back on track. Week 9 and I’ve lost 9kg exactly according to this morning’s weigh in.

Feeling a bit better, new pen has arrived. Feeling like I can do this. Looking forward to seeing my BMI go under 30, hopefully soon.

I’ve really been trying to eat more mindfully, and push more protein and veg into my diet. I’ve succumbed to chocolate more than once though recently so I need to work a bit on the willpower if I want to still at 3.75.
