I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

I've used Pharmacy2U because I get my blood pressure and thyroid meds delivered by them so knew they were reliable. But I might shop around for future orders.

tobee · 06/11/2025 16:55

My approval was done at around 9.30 this morning and is predicted to be delivered tomorrow. We shall see.

Can I ask which suppliers people have gone with, please? I want to order (after over a year going back and forth on the decision) but am driving myself mad comparing supplier reviews and costs on the monj site. I just want somewhere reliable, and am not sure I can face changing supplier every month. A bit of support would be nice but not essential. Don't necessarily need the cheapest but obviously don't want to pay over the odds. I'm very anxious about it all!

I'm using Voy, as I had a referral code & was recommended them since the app offers lots of support. I can share referral codes - but I'm sure there are cheaper out there!

Allnewtonyg · 06/11/2025 17:36

I've just started using a Culligan water jug filter which does enable me to keep track of my water intake. The water does taste so much better.

Thats a great price. I paid £153 with MedExpress including delivery. That was with £30 off also. I had been declined a couple of times before so was just happy to be accepted. I am guessing it will be tricky to move to a cheaper provider if they do the clinical assessment each time as I dont want to be declined again.

I got declined by a couple of places but I think that was due to other meds and conditions I declared. Fair enough - they all have their own rules and processes, and I didn’t fit.

PatheticDistraction · 06/11/2025 21:31

I forgot to post how much I'm paying - this is a screenshot of the Voy pricing structure for 6 months, I also got £50 off via a referral code.

Yes same, I have something on my medical history they were questioning but MedExpress asked some specific questions about it so I could explain what they needed and it was accepted.

Just done my first injection – very easy to do. Now I’m going to spend the next 48 hours worrying about side-effects!! Can’t quite believe I’m doing it but very interested to see the effect it has on my appetite over the next few days!

MooFroo · 07/11/2025 21:23

5 days in and appetite is definitely suppressed - I’m working to 1800 calories a day to try and learn harm his to eat better for life, and figure out food nutrition

been pooping more and need to drink more water so next week will be more ‘water and walking’ week!

Hello

Just did mine at 6 pm We were meant to go away this weekend, changed plans and I'm really surprised the order arrived so quickly, but it did I ordered it yesterday! Impressive

So I'm hoping any horrible side-effects will be gone before work on Monday! Really nervous can't believe I'm doing it really but my weight is making me exhausted

PumpkinLJ · 07/11/2025 23:24

Weird question - do you push the needle all the way in? I think I was too tentative with my first jab and only inserted a little bit.

I did the jab night & today I've had queasiness similar to first trimester. No vomiting though thank goodness!

How's everyone else getting on?

tobee · 08/11/2025 00:17

Just been looking at tomorrow's newspaper front pages and The Times (Saturday) seems to have an article on What to Eat if You Are on Fat Jabs - experts' guide.

I was only wondering if people would start trying to make money out of what to eat on WLI yesterday.

SexyFrenchDepression · 08/11/2025 09:37

A week since I started, 6lbs off
SW 12st
CW 11st8
TW not sure 9 - 9st7

I am on my period this week so will be interested to see what side effects are like, i get awful nausea and diarrhea when I am on so I suspect it'll be even worse.

Definitely not feeling the appetite suppression I did last week after 2nd dose but hopefully that will come, or at least be enough to stay on the wagon.

Hopefully you will be fine, I got awful diarrhea early hours in the morning of day 4, wasnt too bad after that 1st bout though. I am wondering if it is dependant on what you eat. Other side effects weren't much at all.

DontFeedMeSeymour · 08/11/2025 10:05

6 days after first jab and zero difference. No suppression or side effects. Is there any hope my second dose of 2.5 will trigger anything or is my only hope to feel something when I go up to 5?

RoundandSad · 08/11/2025 10:21

@SexyFrenchDepression yes we have to eat very clean don't we

When you say terrible, was it fixed with Imodium because I know sometimes people exaggerate. Or do you mean terrible as in do you need the day off work?

I woke up at 3 am and thought I had flu it passed quickly, but I am very cold

SexyFrenchDepression · 08/11/2025 11:00

@RoundandSad well I guess I say terrible because it woke me up at 3am and I had to rush to loo, then again about 10 mins later. Then next day it was a few times but I could have managed if in office (but our toilets are in corridor so a bit exposed lol)

I didnt mean to exaggerate but I usually go to the loo maybe 3 or 4 times a week so it was a lot for me but probably after that first bout in the early hours it was more like less notice than normal and watery rather than solid (sorry).

Yes I have been cold too!

Fifiellz · 08/11/2025 11:08

This is Day 6 for me and I’m down 8 pounds and into the 11’s which is amazing - haven’t been 11 something since 2022. I was 12.12 but naturally lost a few pounds when I started HRT so in total Im down a stone. I have only had positive experiences this week - no side effects at all apart from a bad nights sleep the day of the injection. I have been eating a healthy lunch and dinner, skipping breakfast because I realised my suppression was lowest at lunch so I wanted to fill up then. I have been making healthy choices though and this has been the most positive thing for me - it has totally taken away the want for fatty, sweet foods and alcohol. Im
hoping I continue in the same way after the next injection but if I do have side effects so be it - this is a game changer for me and I wish I had gone for it earlier! I

SexyFrenchDepression · 08/11/2025 11:13

@Fifiellz wow 8lb is amazing!

I am having protein shake mid morning and taking creatine in it, plus taking other vitamins at the same time so I dont forget. I struggle to eat later in the day still so am planning well so I have something I fancy.

Fifiellz · 08/11/2025 11:17

@SexyFrenchDepression Protein shake a great idea for the morning, I haven’t started creatine yet because so many people say it makes you gain water weight and makes you look puffy at first. I’ve always been completely derailed by weight gain in the beginning of a diet so I didn’t t want to chance it yet but I might introduce next week. I have had to start taking the magnesium glycate earlier in the day because taking it before bed was making me restless and giving me wierd dreams!

I will see how I get on with it, a few people mentioned it as I am weight training also, my PT said it was good also. If I look puffy I'll definitely stop!

My sleep is awful, I started the MG middle of this week so hoping it helps.

BlueMum16 · 08/11/2025 11:39

Can I join too?

Starting weight 15 stone 10 (size 18)
Target weight maybe 11 stone (size 12)

I'm early 50s, 5 ft 7 and have been dieting since my youngest was born 16 years ago doing Slimming World. Think age is against me and making it harder. GP signed me up to Second Nature this time last year. Initially lost 11lb but put most back on now . I loved their high protein, low carb, low sugar plan though.

I drink wine in the evening and then snack through boredom. I'm completely inactive as mostly work from home in a busy stressful job.

Blood pressure is high and was reading about the benefits of Wegovy are wider than weight loss so here I am.

Jab ordered last weekend and it arrived quickly from Bolt for £63. It sat in fridge for 2 days as I was too scared of the side effects to take it.

DH has been on jabs since January and has probably lost about 6+ stone so in the end he stabbed me in the arm on Thursday night! Actual needle was fine for anyone nervous.

Friday WFH and would usually snack, had my usual yogurt and fruit for breakfast and then didn't feel hungry all day. Piece of ham about 2pm as everyone says to eat protein and then chicken breast and veg for tea. One small glass of wine last night that I didn't particularly enjoy.

I feel 'off' not sure what specifically, a bit windy yesterday and a slight headache today. I do drink a lot of water already but will keep an eye on that.

Good luck everyone. Looking forward to us all being lighter for Christmas.

SexyFrenchDepression · 08/11/2025 12:50

@BlueMum16 Hi, I felt same ladt week which was my first week. I felt like I had that nervous/excited feeling the whole time which made me feel like I couldnt eat, it just felt strange. I also had a migraine for 1st day or so, I was so thirsty so I just carried on with the water intake and it went and I've been ok since.

I haven't had a drink yet at all, I am a binge drinker (awful I know) so I mostly going to avoid I think. I will have the odd drink over Christmas I imagine though. We rarely drink indoors but in December we watch a christmas film and have a gin every day so will see if I fancy that!

biz456 · 08/11/2025 15:23

Hi everyone,
I started on my first dose on Friday. Yesterday I was fine but today, I’m at the gym and I feel nauseous.
SW 12st 4
TW 9st 4

Breakfast at 8am I had 250g Fage yogurt 5% fat to keep me fuller for longer along with frozen berries.
Lunch 2pm I have had 2 poached eggs, half an avocado, grilled tomato 1 slice of multigrain toast. I’ve had some multivitamins and electrolytes.
Dinner will be a caesar salad with chicken. And some fruit mid afternoon with a protein shake.
any tips on how to beat the nausea? i was thinking of having some Twinings Lemon and Ginger tea
x

JinglingGin · 08/11/2025 16:45

Hi everyone,
I started on Friday - feeling motivated but not sure that my appetite is any different yet though…
i have 20kg to loose, im on .25 Wegovy.
I’m going to combine the jab with fasting as it worked well for me in the past and I’m hoping the Wegovy will help me stick to the fasting and form some better habits.

good luck everyone!
