I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

My Wegovy arrived, did first dose about half an hour ago 🤞🏼

PatheticDistraction · 05/11/2025 16:43

Please can I join? First pen ordered - I'm 12 st 8lbs, at 5'2 - I'm just too heavy & feel so sluggish and uncomfortable in myself.

My only hesitation is that I'm still pumping a (very!) small amount of breastmilk for my 5month old....and would have liked to continue - but I am so depressed in myself, I just feel I need to bite the bullet. I'm 40 in 3 weeks, and wanted to feel my best, but just feel miserable and ashamed :(

Aw, please don’t feel ashamed… you’ve been growing and feeding another human…that is an achievement to be proud of!

I am pleased to report no adverse side effects. Ate my sandwich in work…started to feel full before I finished it…but I did finish it… think that’s just habit. Hoping it’s the suppression kicking in!

PatheticDistraction · 05/11/2025 20:51

Can I ask for anyone who has already started - did you plan ahead? Set a calorie goal, meal plan & shop? Or should I wait & see how I feel?

And what vitamins do people take?

I've bought a collagen supplement to help support my skin - but keen to hear from
others.

Good luck to everyone!

I’ve been on Mounjaro for 10 months, I’m a slow responder but have lost 2.5 stone. My advice to you is water, water, water. Do not underestimate how much water you need to drink. I drink 2 litres across the day at work and about another litre in the evening. If I don’t drink enough I feel absolutely rubbish.

Nov25 · 05/11/2025 22:04

Can I join at the end of the month on 20th November, currently away so can’t start until then!

I’ve got stones to lose, I feel dreadful.

I’ve recently recovered from breast cancer and the steroids together with the “I deserve it” after my recovery has added more weight.

I’m feeling very low, but I’ve heard so many success stories, I’m hoping to start feeling better.

Anyone ordered from Morrisons? How long did it take for first pen to arrive?

This is what I'll be doing too but mainly because I'm not telling anyone so can't leave it in the fridge 😄

I’m not telling anyone either, but it is hidden inside a box of soda water cans😉

MooFroo · 05/11/2025 23:02

3rd day for me and no negative symptoms so far, touch wood!
Im did wake up around 5.30 a bit earlier than usual and felt really hungry - usually I would’ve had a cup of tea and some biscuits, but went for weetabix and milk.
Second breakfast/lunch was around 12 pm and was too boiled eggs with a protein bagel, and then had a few nuts around 4 pm and high-protein dinner in the evening with a large chicken breast, some cottage cheese, and some mushrooms with salad - honestly, I was struggling to finish it and probably took me over half an hour to eat it in stages.

I need to focus on increasing my fibre and my water for sure - I'm bad with water!

I am seeing a difference in thinking about food definitely - walked away from some MandMs in the kids room and not had any evening snacks which is great!

I am weighing daily to get a weekly average, I don’t really care about the numbers on the scale and definitely more about how I feel, look and most importantly impact on blood sugar, blood pressure and cholesterol.

Ooh good plan! I was thinking about how I will hide the next one as it may end up arriving a day or two earlier than I want to take if I guess.

Nearlyamumoftwo · 06/11/2025 07:16

Morning everyone. 2.5 isn't having too much for an effect on me I don't think - no side effects and cravings came back yesterday. 2nd injection on Sat. I'm hoping once I've done the 2nd injection it will give my body a boost as seems the effects of the 1st one has already worn off!

Morning! Is this to help with the weight loss or should it be making you thirsty?? Now I'm reading that it's a silly question. I really need to remind myself to be drinking it!

I was curious about need for the water too! I struggle to drink any.

I've lost 5lbs in my first week so I'm pleased, I've not been calorie counting or dieting, just haven't wanted to eat as much. Long way to go mind you.

tobee · 06/11/2025 09:36

Hooray! I just got approved!

I uploaded my video and had to do it about 85 times because I'm so rubbish and they only give you 25 seconds or something. About 5 minutes I got a notification from them. I was sure it would be "do your video again" but it was good!

Looking at myself in the video inspired me even further to start doing this!

Talking of water intake, has anyone got suggestions re other good things to drink? I don't mind drinking water but usually drink lots of builders tea and white americano type coffee.

SexyFrenchDepression · 06/11/2025 09:57

I am day 5 today, have lost 5lb so far which is insane. I need to eat more definitely. I am always a bit hungrier in the mornings and think that maybe its wearing off but then seem to be full after lunch for rest of day. I definitely need to up my calories but out for a celebration meal tonight and a bottomless brunch on Saturday so not sure how that will go.

I have felt the need to drink water as I have felt so thirsty, also my stomach has not been great since early hours Weds morning. I am due on this week which always gives me an upset tummy so I think this has just made it worse.

Hopefully I will lose 6lb in total this week which is a great start but I know it'll slow down next week. Starting BMI 28 12stone, would be around BMI 22 if I lose 3 stone I think, 2 stone to get into healthy BMI.

I would love to be under 11 stone by the end of the year but I know that is probably unrealistic but its always such a motivator when you go under that next stone even if its by an ounce!

I am injecting tomorrow, a day early as its probably a better day to get me through the weekend and to feel better on Monday than I did this week.

Next week my goal is to eat at least 100g of protein a day, I haven't been so great this week.

Have protein shakes that you make with water so presumably that helps a bit, about 350ml per shake. I am thinking of getting an air up bottle to make it more interesting.

tobee · 06/11/2025 10:02

Thanks for the tip @SexyFrenchDepression !

Fifiellz · 06/11/2025 13:09

@SexyFrenchDepressionWell done! Your a very similar starting weight to me - I also want to lose about 3st. I have also lost 5lbs so far, my face has def debloated, I really hope I don’t suffer in the face, there’s so many other areas I would prefer to lose it from first.

Yesterday I managed to eat 3 meals, prioritised the protein and ate to about 1100 calories and finally last night I got the best nights sleep. I didn’t have the slight morning nausea this morning either so for me I think it’s best to try and get the food in. I’m finding it very easy so far, the suppression is still there but i’m enjoying the food now instead of dreading it so it feels like a nicer balance than earlier in the week. I wish I hadn’t done the injection on Monday though as I’m worried about having lowest willpower over the weekend but the weight loss so far has spurred me on regardless. If it’s really bad I will bring the jab forward.

SexyFrenchDepression · 06/11/2025 13:20

@Fifiellz 5lb in 3 days is amazing! I think i just need to get into the routine of eating more regularly, that has always been something I'm bad at so often end up eating a load of rubbish late in the evening. Even when I've felt hungry I've had no desire for chocolate or anything like that which is great.

I really cannot believe how easy its been, the main thing I am struggling with is making sure I have eaten enough for weight training. I had creatine in my protein shake today plus took collagen and B12 this morning. I always have a shake for breakfast so will be easy to remember them. I need to remember my magnesium in the evening also now!

FASDE1517 · 06/11/2025 13:39

Can I join? I took my second 2.5 jab yesterday.
I lost 8.5lb on week one which was amazing. I'm not anticipating I'll lose more than a pound or two a week after that though. I felt horrible after the first jab so took the second one just before bedtime so I could sleep through the worst of the headaches and nausea. So far I'm okay this time.

Ooh just thought of a question!

I'm intending to try weight training asap. If I've not done any for a looooong time, does anyone know what dumbbell weight to start with? Or those weights things that you attach to your leg and arms with Velcro?

I know you can just use a tin of beans or something but thought I might be more serious if I got actual weights.

This depends so much. I have a PT and we train to fail. I have a guidance weight (based on what we know I can lift) and will do 3 sets of say 8-12 reps. Each set is till I fail, basically if I am able to do much more than 12 in first set I need to go heavier. 2nd/3rd set I do what I can even if its only 6. I have never trained like this till about 4 months ago and its so efficient and effective. However I went on holiday a couple of times in last few months and kept finding excuses to not exercise so I haven't been consistent. Prior to that I used to do eg 3 sets of 12 or 15 but you never really push yourself in the same way as you always feel like you are leaving something in the tank for the 3rd set. I am also having proper rest times in between sets which helps.

Best ones to get are the dumbells you can add to. They go up to about 12-14 kg usually, the bar is abput 1.5kg so you have loads of options. I use a mixture of machines anf free weights but mostly machines. Tins of beans wont do anything, you'd be doing hundreds of reps to get any visible improvement.

Thank you for such a full answer @SexyFrenchDepression !

BelleEpoque27 · 06/11/2025 15:01

Can I ask which suppliers people have gone with, please? I want to order (after over a year going back and forth on the decision) but am driving myself mad comparing supplier reviews and costs on the monj site. I just want somewhere reliable, and am not sure I can face changing supplier every month. A bit of support would be nice but not essential. Don't necessarily need the cheapest but obviously don't want to pay over the odds. I'm very anxious about it all!

Fifiellz · 06/11/2025 15:07

I used chekup because someone had a £50 referall
so I paid £109 for my first 2.5mg pen. I signed up Wednesday night and received my pen Friday morning which I was quite impressed by. It also includes a free subscription to Weightwatchers. Only downside is I didn’t receive a sharps bin but apart from that all good and online support looks good too.

Thats a great price. I paid £153 with MedExpress including delivery. That was with £30 off also. I had been declined a couple of times before so was just happy to be accepted. I am guessing it will be tricky to move to a cheaper provider if they do the clinical assessment each time as I dont want to be declined again.
