I've just collected my first supply and wondered if anyone wanted to join in with the journey! I'm on 2.5 and I'm 14st1, goal weight is 12 stone as that is my pre baby weight and we'll see how I feel once I've reached it!

any tips on when to take it each week? I'm going to avoid alcohol and even though snacking is my weakness I think purchasing a supply is going to make me stop in a weird way. Any tips gratefully received and if anyone wants to join the journey for support and no judgment here's the place!

Suppression for me kicked in within hours. I have completely lost any interest in food, either eating it or making it. Im pleased it’s working already but it’s also making me feel a bit dulled and flat. I was interested for lunch and ate a bagel but I’ve got dinner cooking and I
really don’t want it.

StealthMama · 03/11/2025 19:54

Hey everyone. I started yesterday, first jab. I’m 46, perimenopausal and have between 2-3 stone to loose. I felt nauseous on and off yesterday, and felt very full after roast dinner, then today I have had no hunger at all. I had small protein yogurt for breakfast, small left over chicken and cauliflower for lunch, and toast this evening!

whilst I think I could eat, I’m being very conscious that I do feel full so I dont need to. I think ‘snacking on demand’ has probably been a bigger problem for me than I’ve realised.

Hope everyone else has a good start and avoids any major side effects.

DontFeedMeSeymour · 03/11/2025 20:55

24 hours in and no effect! Hopefully tomorrow.
Though if Mounjaro makes you feel full, what about the fact that I often eat when I’m not really hungry anyway, and that’s why I’m overweight. Like if you’re offered cake - you might not be actually hungry but you eat it. Or you eat three quarters of a pizza and feel full up but eat the rest because you’ve paid for it or you think you should finish what’s on your plate. Am I just so horribly greedy that Mounjaro can’t help because I’ll push through and eat anyway?

Fifiellz · 03/11/2025 20:57

I don’t feel full but I have lost all desire to eat, cook or think about food at all. I made dinner and enjoyed it but it was eating because I had to rather than because I fancied it. It’s a wierd feeling but great!

PumpkinLJ · 03/11/2025 21:23

Hi! I'd like to join you. I don't work on Fridays so I'm taking my first jab on Thursday evening. I have about 3 & a half stone to lose.

I'm so looking forward to not having the food noise. Spending so much time thinking about food, snacks, how I'll treat myself with chocolate etc.

I feel really shy about telling anyone in my family, or my friends, that I'm doing WLI. Anyone else feel this way?

Mumoftwo1624 · 03/11/2025 21:26

I'm now 24 hours in. I feel different today but can't properly explain how. I've been a bit windy (sorry if TMI) and have thought about food but for the first time in a very long time I've had 3 meals with no snacks whatsoever .. hopefully a good sign 🙏

DontFeedMeSeymour · 03/11/2025 21:46

@PumpkinLJ yeh me. I told DH just because I think he should know in case I got ill or something. But I sure as heck won’t be telling anyone else.

i thought this - it's not so much my diet that's terrible but it's all the snacking! Well I'm 48 hours in, and I worked from home today which is when I snack big time - I've had no desire to go to the cupboard even though I know chocolate is waiting for me, and no desire to nip out and get something naughty. So it has done something to me for sure. No desire to have anything after dinner either, not even fruit or yogurt. See how you get on tomorrow!!! A bush today today - couldn't get any exercise or steps in, but let's see how tomorrow is

First day gone well for me as well I injected at about 11 pm last night.
A few burps in a bit windy but not the horrible soft burps I had when I did it last year.

I have also joined up to an online weight loss group which accounts for you being on MJ. They’ve set my targets at around 1800 and set fibre and protein targets which I just about managed to hit today with some real thought and effort into what I was eating. The biggest issue for me is tracking the calories to have an idea of how much something weighs and therefore help me to make better food choices now and for my future. I’m also massively struggling with drinking any water – I do drink hot drinks like tea and fruit teas, but I don’t think I’ve had more than half a glass of water today otherwise.

Same for me, its so strange. I eat loads when I work from home and it doesnt cross my mind at all. They had cakes at the sports club I was at tonight and I wasnt interested at all.

Its strange as sometimes I feel hungry but I don't fancy anything really. I am forcing myself to eat.

I felt quite sluggish today but I did some exercise yesterday and then more today so I think I maybe haven't eaten enough. Shopping arrived tonight though so I can pick some higher protein stuff to eat throughout the day from tomorrow. Today I had a protein shake, banana, apple, cup a soup then chicken and broccoli for dinner. Calorie wise about 800, so I need to improve on that. I should be aiming for 1200-1300 really though.

My first jab kicked in after about 6 hours!

I thought exactly the same thing as you about it not being effective because the overeating that has caused the weight gain is not because I’m hungry. Couldn’t imagine how an injection could take away my interest in eating treats. It’s so hard to explain but it does.

Yes I am the same, havent told anyone other than a friend who is also on them. Not told any family either.

TFICoffeetime · 04/11/2025 01:01

Hi
I'm hoping to start this month & will place order hopefully over next week.
I'm 5ft 4 & 12 stone. I am peri menopausal and want to feel confident in me again. I feel embarrassed how I carry the weight. My self esteem is v low as I've always been slim & peri hit hard. Would like to loose 3 stone.
I carry all on stomach so not only look pregnant I'm aware that health wise it's biggest risk to have the weight there.
Wanting a happier, healthier 2026. X

Which group have you joined? Would you recommend it?

Fifiellz · 04/11/2025 07:29

Well that was the worst nights sleep I have ever had in my life!! A very entertaining dream thrown in there to keep me occupied but oh, I hope that’s not a permanent side effect! Im taking magnesium glycate as well which I was hoping would improve my sleep.

SexyFrenchDepression · 04/11/2025 07:49

Are there any vitamins that are recommended to take alongside the jabs?

I have magnesium glycate at home which I am terrible at remembering to take, also fibre tablets which I forget also!

Fifiellz · 04/11/2025 07:51

@SexyFrenchDepressionI’ve been told magnesium, fibre, collagen and creatine. I’m chucking a multi vit in as well.

SexyFrenchDepression · 04/11/2025 07:54

@MooFroo I use myfitness pal as it syncs to my gym app so my PT checks. MFP shows you your protein, carb, fat targets but I may need to amend mine slightly to reduce the carbs.

The only way I can drink enough water is by filling up one of the 2 litre bottles otherwise I have hardly any!

SexyFrenchDepression · 04/11/2025 07:56

@Fifiellz thanks, I have collagen that I bought also recently actually so will check out creatine. I need to get into a routine with all those. Hopefully as I will be eating in more of a routine I can take them when I have breakfast, then obviously the magnesium later.

RunSlowTalkFast · 04/11/2025 12:50

Just had a dispatch notification for Wegovy from Bolt, should be here by Friday so I guess I'll start then!

My history
Went from 14.5 stone to 12.5 stone by myself but then got stuck.

Took Mounjaro for almost 6 months but didn't feel much effect until the higher doses so only lost a stone in that period. So 11.5 stone.

I'd obviously spent a lot then so decided to stop as it was a bit expensive.

Since then I've hovered between 11.5 and 12 stone usually am 11st 11lbs.

Still just about obese so when I saw Wegovy is pretty cheap now I thought I'd try it again and see if I can shift another stone or so!

I track calories, eat minimum 120g protein a day, and 25-30g fibre. I strength train at the gym 4-5 times a week plus a couple of 2k runs and 5k walks.

It's just sticking within a calorie deficit I'm seemingly too much of a pig to do. It's the snacking same as others have said. 😳

Cosywintervibes · 04/11/2025 13:15

Hi all

I would like to join this group. I have my 2.5mg pen of Mounjaro in the fridge ready to start. Nervous about taking it and any possibility of side effects.

Starting weight 12.6
Goal weight 10 stone
Height 5ft

tobee · 04/11/2025 14:00

Having ummed and ahhhed about taking MJ for literally months; I'm a chronic over-thinker, and worrier, I'm currently doing my consultation.

If I'm prescribed I guess I'll be starting next few days/next week.

Apart from wondering if it'll actually work for me, one of the main weirdnesses for me is a can't imagine being my target weight!! I'm 12 stone 7 and target weight is around 9 stone 7 but, even though I've lost the odd 1 - 2 stone in the past, that's been such an effort, and it all got put back on again gradually, I haven't been under 10 stone for about 25 years!! I'm 57 now. When I've got down to below 11 stone I put the bunting out and ate cake to celebrate; no not quite that bad.

Anyone else find it hard to envisage?

Fifiellz · 04/11/2025 14:10

@tobeeVery much so! I’ve spend so much time and brain power to the process of losing/dieting/meal planning and never getting further than the odd 10 pounds. I’m not sure what I will do with myself if I hit 9 stone! Hopefully go to the gym and buy new clothes.

tobee · 04/11/2025 14:44

Glad I'm not alone @Fifiellz!

Constantly thinking can I eat this? How much will I pay for it pounds wise next weigh in? I feel desperately hungry but that is good! I felt desperately hungry and the scales didn't budge/I gained a pound - it's so exhausting and time consuming and tedious. I'd love to just feel at peace with eating in a healthy way.

VioletandMauve · 04/11/2025 14:51

@tobee - I felt exactly the same as you, I'm on week 3 of MJ now and I can only say it's the most amazing thing ever!

I've got 3 stones to lose, started at 11st 12lbs 3 weeks ago and have lost half a stone since then. Target weight is just under 9 stone - I've not been that for about 100 years (I'm 63)! After you start, you will hardly think about food. Crazy I know but it's true.
