I have been unwell a few times, as long as it’s less than two weeks it’s fine to take the same dose I think.

Reginaphalangeeeee · 01/11/2025 23:22

Thank you @Evenstar.
i have only delayed by a day or two (travel reasons) before.
I am feeling better today (not 100%) but hunger and snack desire back so thought I could jab tonight. Bit apprehensive though as a lot of post viral fatigue and this may make it worse. Usual jab day Sunday so maybe I will wait until tomorrow.

InfoSecInTheCity · 01/11/2025 23:29

@Reginaphalangeeeee double check the instruction leaflet but I’m pretty sure I’m remembering correctly that you can go back to same dose you were on as long as you only have a 2 week break, any more than 2 weeks and you’re advised to drop to a lower dose and titrate back up.

Evenstar · 01/11/2025 23:30

I think sometimes it does affect you more if you have had a virus, I have had two colds back to back and did delay the week I got the first one. I feel it has made me more tired than usual.

Hope you feel better soon

GiveMeWordGames · 02/11/2025 08:16

That sounds rough, @Reginaphalangeeeee . Glad you're starting to feel better. You could always do a split dose if you're wary. I've done that a few times, usually when I've gone up a dose at the same time as trying to shuffle my jab day around.

That’s a thought @GiveMeWordGames so 5mg and then again 3-4 days later?

Maybe 7.5mg and 2.5 mg too up better?

I've always done the latter, or equivalent back when it was a total dose of 7.5.
So: bigger dose, then 4-5 days, smaller dose then 3 days. Then back to normal.

Goingincirclesstill · 02/11/2025 16:21

@Reginaphalangeeeee
Hope you're feeling better now....was going to say the same re splitting the dose

So today something happened, and I am officially in the normal BMI range.....feels so weird as well as good!

Starting weight was 18st 7lb on 27th September last year.
Weight now is 9st 12lbs which is a mad loss of 8st 9lb.....which is more than the weight of my 16 year old!

Was a size 24, probably honestly needing a 26 in trousers in particular. Now have somehow got a few things in size 12 including a coat I can still do up over a jumper and jeans... don't recognise myself in shop windows!

Have lost 79" from over my thighs, tummy button, waist, bra level and over breast level.. .. that is 200.66cm... 2 full metres!!

Want to loose a little more so nearer the middle of the healthy range and ti think about how I do that. On 7.5 so think will drop it a bit and see how it goes. My head is still adjusting to size and changes!

WeAllHaveWings · 02/11/2025 16:39

@Reginaphalangeeeee hope you feeling better soon!

I would probably try 7.5mg for the week then back to 10mg instead of messing about with split doses. Your levels will have dropped due to the missed week so taking even 10mg will not take you as high as before as it will need to build up again over a few weeks (first picture).

Taking 7.5mg for a week, or even two, will edge you back in more gently (second picture) - eat a bit more this week, drink lots of water to fuel your body to recover fully from the virus and get you back on your A game. Then go back up to 10mg when ready.

GiveMeWordGames · 02/11/2025 16:41

@Goingincirclesstill Well done!! That's a wonderful loss and how lovely to be in the normal BMI range now and size 12.

ILiveInAPineappleCoveredInSnow · 02/11/2025 16:44

I started at 15st11, and currently 11st0.8.
My goal weight I think is about 10 stone which puts my bmi at 25.6.
I have gone from a size 24 to somewhere between a 14 and 18 depending on brand 😂

alltablenochairs · 02/11/2025 16:56

This might sound really awful (and pleeeeeeeeease don't take offence anyone!) but there are some lovely losers on this thread. Some absolutely incredible losses. You're all amazing.

WeAllHaveWings · 02/11/2025 17:03

If you are going to be calling us names @alltablenochairs can I just say you are a great not so big anymore loser too 🤪

I can assure you that today I feel like the first cousin to a heifer. Having a 1 person pity party and trying to debate whether I can get away with going to bed at 6pm after I've stuck the tea on the table. With my heated blanket. Maybe a cat if I can find either of them.

(new people to this thread- I have an ever increasing list of medical ishoooooooos. A lot of it is autoimmune. Fatigue is a big problem which predates the MJ).

Reginaphalangeeeee · 02/11/2025 20:27

Thanks @WeAllHaveWings that’s a good shout.
I think I will do 7.5mg today, hope fatigue doesn’t hit hard, if it does, do the same next week. If food noise doesn’t settle may add mid-week split dose.

This virus hit me so hard! I have a stressful week ahead and feeling more panicked as not been able to work and do the things to prepare I needed while ill.
With my sore throat I have discovered icecream again. Husband was really kind to get it but now it is calling to me even though my throat is better.
I have definitely given in to things to make me feel momentarily better this week and really need to rebuild health. Not sure I’ll have energy for the gym but want a positive week.

@alltablenochairs I hope you feel better. I struggle with another health condition and this virus made me really worried about it.

@Goingincirclesstill you have amazing losses!! Well done, it always amazes me what people can achieve and I keep hoping I have another 3 stone to go and absolutely hope I can do it.

Slowrunning · 02/11/2025 20:32

I'm already in my bed @alltablenochairs . I made a lovely (high fat) butter chicken curry for the family. Popped it on the table and hopped off to my bed and my lovely heated blanket.

QueenOfHiraeth · 02/11/2025 23:07

Bit of a shit week here and my need to stress-eat is overriding the MJ. I won't bore you all with the details but I am in my 60s and truly in the middle of the sandwich of generations so I'm dealing with elderly parent and grandbabies at the same time.
Annoyingly I have only about 1/2stone to go to reach a healthy BMI but life seems to thwart me getting there

NotsosunnyShropshire · 03/11/2025 05:14

Finally had another whoosh and now down 47.7lbs in total. My stall was shorter this time. Only a couple of weeks instead of a whole month like the last time.

Does anyone have that funny weight-loss equivalent to chart?

Darn it, not quite the elephants penis 🤣

MooBaggage · 03/11/2025 07:32

@alltablenochairs and @QueenOfHiraeth Hope you're both OK - this time of year doesn't help either, I think, when things are already feeling rubbish. We did have some lovely sunshine over the weekend here, which was good to see, but it's so dark so quickly now - doesn't help my mood at all.

Onwards and downwards for a decent week ahead... 💪😘

Ok grateful for the reduced dose of 7.5mg rather than 10mg.
Gosh I am completely wiped again. Think MJ not post viral but who knows. Also the return of the cold battle in bed.
Generally not feeling bright nor sparkly today, feel blahhhh and more huffing. Just need to get through.

Thanks for the advice ladies

alltablenochairs · 03/11/2025 07:51

I've lost a newborn calf. As I was comparing myself to a heifer last night this couldnt be more apt!

AnneinEdinburgh · 03/11/2025 10:33

I've lost an Irish setter - which doesn't seem that impressive. Wonder how much of that is hair? Wouldn't it be fab to lose and Arnold Schwarzenegger and how does Arnie weigh less than a pony?!

WeAllHaveWings · 03/11/2025 12:16

Just back from A&E. I went over on my ankle 🦶 a week or so ago to a loud crack. It wasn't really sore, and I haven't had to be out much (working from home) so have just been taking it easy on it. But had to go into work on Friday and it was much harder to walk a longer distance than I thought and it seems to have triggered it being a bit numb/pins and needles. After being pushed back and forth between 111 and GP for a couple of days went to A&E this morning.

I have a chip out a bone 🦴 in my ankle which is why I have problem walking and they've said no walking far or driving for 6-8 weeks 😮 (brilliant for the run up to Christmas!)

They asked about medications and I told them Mounjaro and they said they have seen an increase in bone fractures with patients on Mounjaro as being on it can indirectly cause reduced bone density and said need to be really careful with nutrition.

Anyone got any recommendations for a decent calcium supplement? To add to the stack 🙈 (already taking Vit D3 and K2)
