@QueenOfHiraeth i take 3.25 on Sunday night and Thursday morning. I have found this very effective, because I don’t have such a dose rollercoaster. I don’t have side effects from injecting 7.5 in one go, and I don’t have a low at the end of the week.

Also I’ve found Huel bars and black powder very useful when too busy and can’t be arsed to think of food. The powder isn’t very nice, but it’s effective.

Im also big on precooked chicken now, and peeled prawns too.

alltablenochairs · 24/11/2025 13:22

While I can cook, planning, preparing and cooking for the family doesnt exactly fill me with joy. Expensive yes, but I actually get gousto boxes fairly frequently. Its all ready, all pre portioned and actually looking at the ingredients isnt overly processed food either.

I also do freezer bags I.e. prepare the meal, freeze it in sandwich bags then when it comes to cooking it all goes in the slowcooker.

WeAllHaveWings · 24/11/2025 13:28

@QueenOfHiraeth mid week when time constrained most of my meals are low prep - things like salmon in the oven or steak/chicken in air fryer (sometimes put in a marinade/spices the night before so ready to go) and packs of pre-prepped or frozen veg either boiled or in microwave.

Or roast a chicken at weekend (and stick some baked potatoes in at same time) then have chicken or left overs like bolognaise on a baked potato with again pre-prepped or frozen veg or bagged salad and some coleslaw, sliced peppers.

I put it on as soon as I am in the door then go and get out of work clothes/wash hands/face to freshen up while its cooking. If I don't plan ahead I find myself just staring blankly into the fridge in despair.

NSV... Went swimming today after a while and my thighs glided against each other when doing front crawl, rather than the usual stay stuck together. Hope it makes sense, but it made me feel so happy

Hi ladies, would you say that dropping 2 sizes within a year is a reasonable expectation?

I guess it depends on where you start and how you plan to do it. In a year on Mounjaro I went from size 18-20 to 10-12.

It depends on a lot, IME.
Yes, I have dropped 4 sizes. However my BMI was 45 at starting and is currently 31 after being on MJ for coming up to 14 months. One thing I have learnt since starting my MJ journey and talking to others is that its a truly individual thing. There's no guarantees with it.

SecondCircuit · 25/11/2025 07:57

@alltablenochairs @gimmemounjaro - thank you.

Four dress sizes is pretty amazing.

I ve never been a size 10 in my adult life, getting from 20 (18 now) to 14 would be great.

It was my size 20 jeans starting to become tight that started me on this journey. I'd been in 22/24 tops for a while but had kidded myself that was just menopausal boobs and I wasn't relentlessly getting bigger everywhere.

In 8 months I'm now pretty much down to a 14, give or take sizing quirks.

Having got very excited about my new fitted underwired pretty bras, all i can say is its not as comfortable as a crop top sigh x

My tiny (32H, but still seem tiny compared to my 42H's!) underwires are firmly reserved for going out as they are more uplifting. They are ok when standing and sitting upright, but any lounging and they are like a vice around my ribs, wonder if its because there is less padding around me - soft bras only indoors!

I bet underwires were the origin of the phrase "no pain no gain"!

Hi ladies, would you say that dropping 2 sizes within a year is a reasonable expectation?

I think so - depending on how it all goes - exactly the length of a piece of string 😄

I'm a bit like @alltablenochairs - have dropped around 4 x dress sizes this year, going from BMI 43 to 30.7 so far. I tend to drop a size every 1.5 stone (roughly) and am 3lbs off losing 6 stone, so that makes sense. But.... my boobs are still blooming huge, so although I've gone from a size 26-ish to size 18-ish for tops, I'm accepting that my top half seems like it's always going to be bigger than the rest of me 🙄 I'd love to be all willowy and flat chested, but even as and when I get to goal weight, I bet my boobs will still be leading the way - just the way my body is designed....!

Meanwhile, all my size 16 jeans can now be put on/taken off without undoing them - so I'm starting to believe that size 14 bottoms are around the corner 😮 am resisting buying anything in a 14 though for at least another few weeks - want to really believe it's real as I haven't bought anything in a size 14 since I was a teenager! My biggest bottom half clothes from last year were size 24, so it's a huge change for me - as I've said lots of times, my mind hasn't caught up yet with my body.

Every single day I hope that my boobs will shrink. Please excuse the pun but fat bloody chance is this happening. The damn things were already a J cup before I started MJ. Now as I am losing weight they dont seem to be shrinking at all and I am becoming increasingly top heavy. Grrrrrrrrr.

Oh... I agree...!

I have worn underwired bras most of my adult life but gave up wearing them a few years ago because they were no longer comfortable.

I now wear these bras (40F) from M&S, whivh I think still provide a good lift and the material is so soft.

ShrankLastWinter · 25/11/2025 13:01

My once magnificent boobs have shrunk to a sad state after a 5 stone loss. But underwired bras are at last comfortable. I went to Rigby and Peller to get some fancy ones and can’t believe the wisps of lace that I can now wear. But the nice lady had to try several kinds on me to find some thing that would suit a woman who had ‘lost volume’ as she tactfully put it.

QueenOfHiraeth · 25/11/2025 13:32

@ShrankLastWinter Me too, my boobs have never been large but have always been perfectly adequate. Alas, no more! They are now little soft, saggy things and, if I try to put them in a lifting bra, they crinkle on the top.

Good job I'm beyond the age of trying to impress!

WeAllHaveWings · 25/11/2025 14:41

This (elephant truck) uncannily resembles the skin on my boobs when leaning forward now 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

I find balconette styles most forgiving now volume lost at top of boob, full cup styles are just empty at top. The girls need a bit of arranging and smoothing of skin to get them in and sitting right, but the results (clothed) are much better than before my weight loss. I am also at an age impressing others is not near the top of any list!

@MooBaggage my upper arms go like that if I lean forward and put my weight on them, particularly when getting into the bath 😳

OMG, that’s me!
Friends always joke that on entering a room it’s first my boobs then the rest of me😁!

I’ve already dropped on MJ 11kg (yippee, finally it has gone below 90kg!) and with it dropped a size (that would agree with your size change every 1.5 stone).
But I’m still top heavy and I guess it’s not going to change. Boobs will always lag behind.

Even when I was slimmer when young and size 12-14 my chest was out of proportions.
I’ve always wanted to be flat chested flat flat full stop..
..dreaming of a flat bosom… 🎶🎶🎵🎹

My question re size expectations was prompted by a new pair of black velvet trousers (Christmas in mind) bought over the weekend but I then thought I should get another pair for the next Christmas season😂 and was wondering if size 14 was realistic.

MooBaggage · 25/11/2025 16:18

Isn't it funny that those of us with BOOBS really really have never wanted them..? I hated the bloody attention when I was younger and then just hated the weight/inconvenience/clothing problems they cause. Oh to be super flat chested..!

I was saying to my Mum the other week, if I can get down to a size 12 bottoms and size 14 top, I'll be very happy - can't imagine it just yet, but I think as I want to lose another 3 stone (to be in 'healthy' BMI), that's where I'll end up, hopefully!

Roll on crinkly top boobs - can't wait 😀

OP posts:
alltablenochairs · 25/11/2025 17:55

There's plenty of boobage here if anyone wants some! No crinkles here which surprises me as I've had 2 kids and have list 42kg to date. What really doesnt help me in the ginormo-boob department is that I have side supports on my wheelchair that are deliberately meant to be a body hugging fit. Essentially squishing me into my chair so I stay upright. It just enhances the big boob look ffs.

I also gave up on wearing wired bras a while ago. No matter how many fitting appointments I had, I could never get anything that was vaguely comfortable. If people are able to I would suggest going for a proper fitting and not to the likes of M&S. I go to an old fashioned lingerie shop where the ladies who fit you have been doing it forever and woukd baulk at the suggestion of using a measuring tape then adding 4 inches. Having the right fitting bra makes a huge difference.

HumBumBum · 26/11/2025 16:19

Hi all, sorry for silence I’ve been stuck on a stall for about 6 weeks BUT had a momentous NSV today that I know you will appreciate…..

I went for a health-check and they didn’t say a single word about my weight!!!

(They also didn’t note the significant 82lb loss since my last check, but 🤷‍♀️)

MooBaggage · 26/11/2025 16:38

@HumBumBum Hurrah! I know that shame of being at a health appointment and it being the elephant in the room...! Hope the stall breaks soon - very frustrating. 💪🙏

I used to get health checks / blood tests every year due to being on blood pressure meds, but don't think I will be eligible for them any more (Scotland).
