Slightly disappointed with this week's loss as I've been under my calorie allowance every day and exercising, but hey ho, a loss is a loss! And at the start of the week then scales were showing a slight gain, even yesterday it was only a maintain, so who knows what's going on! Out for dinner tonight though so the smaller loss will help motivate me to make a good choice about my meal so that's good anyway.

Wk40 weigh in this morning (wk8 on 7.5mgs) … another 1lb gone. Better than 1 on but I am getting a bit disheartened by this significant slow down. New pen needed next week so going to have a serious think about moving up another dose or not.

I’ve lost 26% of my starting weight and averaging 1.8lbs loss per week over the 40 weeks.

SW (15 Feb 25): 19st 9lbs / BMI 44.4 (obese class 3)
CW: 14st 8lbs / BMI 32.8 (obese class 1)
GW: healthy BMI (between 18.5 and 24.9 (8.3st-11st) for my height) - 3st 7lbs to go to get to top of healthy range.

Wks 1-4 (2.5mg): -17lbs

Week 37 and a disappointing 2lb, only disappointing due to the fact that it leaves me just 1lb short of a 7st loss! Next week for sure!

Still, 27% of me gone and only 3lb to 100lb loss, onwards and downwards losers 💕

I'm going to do it, I'm going to join a gym!

Now, important question, what on earth do people wear at the gym? I havent owned leggings in my life. Do I need to get some?

Are there special gym leggings?

Sainsbury's..I bought mine for £4 in a 70 % off sale .
The choices of colour would not be m first choice ..but at that price, and considering I didn't wear them long before they were to big ,it was with it

FourSeasonsTotalLandscaping · 29/11/2025 10:02

NSV today - I am in size 20 jeans! They’re a little bit tighter than I would like ideally, but they definitely do fit.

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 29/11/2025 10:27

Morning all! So many new messages in this thread ❤️ and so many going through their personal struggles and challenges. A good reminder that there is so much more going on than just a weight loss and we are not just a username from a weight loss chat.

Last week -3lbs, 48lbs in total. In kgs I’m now 99.9kg, a big milestone (even if it’s just by 100g 😄) as I can’t remember last time when my weight was in double digits!

I did some comparisons between doses/ weight loss and as expected, the average rate is slowing down. This is good because the my overall weight loss so far frightens me a bit, I didn’t expect the weight to come off this fast. I think this is definitely due to portion sizes and food choices. I can’t believe how much I have been overeating, mainly pasta, cheese, bread and “healthy snacks”. Plus wine!

After feeling hungry the week before and not really having much suppression, I decided to increase the dose marginally and went up to 4.25mg last Saturday, I’m feeling really good again, I can eat my “new normal size” 3 meals a day, not hungry/not full and I have no cravings.

i do need to start renewing my wardrobe though. But I can’t remember what I used to wear when I was this size so don’t know where to start. I went to the shops last weekend but there’s still a lack of clothes in size 18/20 that I could try on. I don’t even know my style, I’m so used to wearing tunic tops and jeggings.

Pieceofpurplesky · 29/11/2025 11:05

I remember posting back in April that I was starting my journey and never thought it would work.
SW 23st 3 lbs
CW 17st 9 lbs
Over 5.5 st loss.
I don't think I had a goal weight but now 12 st looks like it may be possible after a lifetime of being morbidly obese (mainly due to mental health and self sabotage)

TragicMuse · 29/11/2025 11:39

Well done losers! Such great progress and NSVs.

I was away overnight on Thursday and had wine. And portions I didn’t control, but managed to keep it mostly together.

Went out last night in a pair of size 16 trousers which were comfortable. It’s all very thrilling! My wardrobe is ridiculous. I have masses to get rid of and really need to get it listed and sold! Am I going to do that? No. I am not. I’m going shopping. Obvs.

Keep on with your good selves!

I know I've said this before, but please don't any of you get despondent, if you "only" lose 1lb a week, or less than that.

It isn't realistic for the big losses we all got at the start to continue. We must all look at the bigger picture.

I'm losing between 2 - 3lb a month now, and I'm happy with that.

I've been losing weight for almost 2 years.
I've lost 8st 6lb.

I've gone from 20st 2lb to 11st 10lb.

I'm now a size 12 in trousers and a size 10 in tops. I was a size 26 to start with.

I'm only carrying on to see if I can lose some more weight from my legs (!)
It's a vanity thing - I used to have gorgeous legs. But actually, I feel healthy now. I didn't and I wasn't before.

Also, I'm not even close to a BMI of 25 yet, which just shows how stupid BMI scales are.

So please stop panicking about your loss slowing down. It's normal. That's what is meant to happen.

Jab 30 today so thought I’d do a check in as i am inspired by all your weigh ins and amazing progress.

SW 140kg 22st 0.4lb BMI 50.2
CW 111.2kg 17st 7.1lb BMI 39.9
loss 28.8kg 4 st 7lb
TW - not sure but starting with a 12 st I think for starters

I have finally admitted to myself that I’m not as tall as I once was and have adjusted my height on my apps, this led to a demoralising brief foray back over 40 BMI but I’m back under again now. It also puts my starting BMI over 50, probably a good thing I didn’t calculate that till now.
I thought it’d do me no favours with my provider in future looking like I have a lower BMI than I actually do! I’ve lost about 3 cm, how does this happen 🤯

Such wise words @TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne
congratulations on fabulous loss and coming so far. This is such a kind and supportive thread.
I have lost 10st 2lbs and down to a size 10/12. The Mounjaro stopped the diet fatigue and have lost the compulsion to think of food 24/7.
Keep going guys it is a marathon but well worth it.

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 29/11/2025 16:44

Well done @Everdecreasingcircle
10st 2lb loss is amazing.

Week 32 lost 38lb, I am ticking along just over a 1lb a week average. I do get frustrated I’m not losing quickly like a lot of people but my health has improved so much. Diabetes in remission, blood pressure normal hope to come off meds soon, no more snoring and sleep apnea, husband has even moved back into bedroom with me (my snoring and C-pap machine used to disturb his sleep) not sure if this is a positive or negative, after 32 years it was nice having bed to myself 😂. I am almost on the chart below 40 bmi 🎉

TheBroonOneAndTheWhiteOne · 29/11/2025 19:51

Thank you all for the leggings advice. I have sourced 2 pairs and a pack of t shirts. I already have some trainers which will do to start with.

Next step will be to actually sign up with the gym which I will do this morning.

I’m doing this this week too! It has been about 20 years since I was last a gym member, think I’m going to go with tracksuit bottoms for now. I’m smaller than I was but still can’t wear leggings apart from as an extra layer

GnomeDePlume · 30/11/2025 13:30

I'm signed up with a gym. Just need my PE kit to arrive then I am good to go (I am not doing PE in my pants). Plan is to go early morning before work on the days DH is working (he starts at 6am) as I'm up anyway.

@mamabeeboo amazing, I am thrilled for you. What a lot of hard work you've put in to see those numbers.

PearlTeapot · 01/12/2025 10:50

I KNOW you all advised me not to mess with the dose but I went rogue spontaneously last night at jab time and did 36 clicks, which I think/hope is 3mg. I figure if I feel unwell at least I'm in a hospital where they can look after me!

Plan is to stick to this for this pen- my maths says I should get 6 out of it- (if they don't notice). And hopefully by then I'll be long at home.

Well, let's hope so, but it's a psychiatric hospital and they're usually crap at dealing with medical problems, IME.
At home you'd have access to e.g. loperamide and senna yourself.
I hope you don't have any problems.
