Roll up, roll up (if you can, you skinny Minnie’s!) to all the brave WL warriors still battling on and hanging on in there.

8 months in … welcome to thread 8! 🥰

This thread I pledge:
to do two exercise sessions per week.
(There I’ve said it. Better do it now, hadn’t I).

Goal:
Find an amazing dress to wear for an awards ceremony I am going to in November.

Anyone else got any particular targets?

Big love to you all x

@PurpleCoo
I thought I too had bottomed out …. but scales this morning say 58kg - nine stone two. NINE STONE TWO!! I haven’t been that weight since I was 18.

I used to dread getting dressed in the morning and now I look forward to it. Does anyone else feel like that?

I also saw myself on an Insta post from a school dance and didn’t cringe - I looked like a “normal” person, not fat.

I am resigned now to taking MJ for as long as I can afford it, and doctors let me.

PurpleCoo · 24/01/2026 16:10

@laundryhamper Wow, that's amazing, well done you! I am about 10kg heavier than you and can't imagine being that tiny! To be fair, if I didn't have the lower belly roll and upper arm flab I would be happy with my weight, even though I am overweight.

I think I have always enjoyed getting dressed and loved clothes. Indeed I am gutted I am having to get rid of my size 16 dresses because they are so lovely and I genuinely adore wearing them. Wearing a belt doesn't work so much now though as the neckline is just enormous. I don't feel the same way about the long discarded walking trousers and leggings though 🤣🤣 It's bonkers to think I am 2-3 dress sizes smaller

I was looking at photos from a couple of years ago when I did the Fyrish Monument as it was on traitors. I couldn't believe how big I looked, I looked terrible (but grinning like an idiot, I am always happy 🤣🤣). It's so nice just to be 'normal' now and the same size or smaller as everyone else in group pictures.

@laundryhamper woweeeeee!!

Was most chuffed to see 69.3kg this morning. Last weekend I had crept up to 71kg, so happy to have been able to get that down again.

Bought a beautiful dress in Oliver Bonas today. Size 10!!
… then tried on a skirt in John Lewis. Needed a 14.

Makes no bloody sense!!

@PurpleCoo How tall are you though? I am only 5”4

laundryhamper · 25/01/2026 00:11

@Mounjaroday The only size ten I have bought is a coat - coats seems to be very oversized this year.

PurpleCoo · 25/01/2026 06:36

@laundryhamper I'm the same height and a size 10 or 12 depending on the shop. I have quite high muscle mass though and I am all boobs and bum with a small waist, so generally carry weight quite well

It's the clothes, not your body!

These shops just make up sizing. No rhyme or reason to the measurements honestly!

Probablyawake · 25/01/2026 12:18

I haven't been on here for some time, great to see everyone's progress. Currently down by 7.5 stone. Now at 15.6 stone and down to size 14, so I'm very happy.
Size 14 and 14 stone is my goal - which is still overweight but BMI is ridiculous so I pay zero attention to it. I want to taper down when I get there and see how it goes. Fingers crossed! So much more active now, really enjoying the gym and running.

MynameisJune · 25/01/2026 16:52

It’s been a while since I caught up. I’ve had two jabs since the start of Dec, I’m trying to last as long as I can between jabs. My new meds have stopped suppressing my appetite now that I’m used to them. So I’m monitoring my loss. Currently wearing an XS size sweater that fits perfectly. I need size 8 jeans as my 10’s are too loose.

SW 94.6kg
GW 66.6kg
CW 64.8kg

I’m currently the lowest weight I can ever remember being as an adult. It’s crazy to me how different things are from when I started. I’m happy to be on some form of weight loss meds for the rest of my life as I never want to go back to how I was.

Totally relate to @usedtobeaylis on people commenting on your body, weight loss etc. I’m sick of being told I’m now too skinny, especially by my mother.

sweetpickle2 · 26/01/2026 10:47

Catching up on posts, haven't been on here for a while.

Came off the jabs at the end of November and had my 40th birthday, two week trip away and Christmas. Put on 5kg that I am still unable to shift!

I am watching what I eat but hunger is definitely back, it is a struggle. I know I need to calorie count properly but it feels like such an uphill climb! I need to lost that 5kg though, and I can't keep gaining more.

usedtobeaylis · 26/01/2026 12:20

Hello, I'm about to run out of needles for my pen, does anyone know where I can get more? I assume an online pharmacy but I'm not sure if it's obvious it's the right ones for these pens!

@usedtobeaylis I think these might be spares for the KwikPen: https://www.theindependentpharmacy.co.uk/general-health/4mm-pen-needles
I’ve not ordered them myself x

Thank you, I went with these. Its probably really obvious but I do remember at the start reading about people talking about where they got needles from, I think it was more the needles for the golden dose but wanted to be sure!

You've got this!

It's early days off the jabs but I think the hunger will lessen, or at least get easier to deal with. Mine has. Well, most of the time!

It will be 20 clicks 60 clicks is a full dose a third of a dose '2.5' would be a 1/3 number of clicks

HangryGreenGoose · 30/01/2026 11:22

Thanks @narkyspirit, I couldn’t work it out. Will give it ago and see if this keeps the suppression at bay. 🥰

Happy Jabiversary!

We should add up how much we’ve lost combined?!

I’ve lost 24.4kg (53lb or 3 stone 11)

here’s my annual review:

SW 89.2kg BMI 28.5 size 16
CW 64.8kg BMI 20.7 size 10/12

In the last year I’ve virtually given up all my asthma meds, been walking loads every day and haven’t been ill since we started. (And that’s from someone who used to get 4 head colds a year most years, which invariably turned into weeks of wheezy asthma or chest infections that dragged on and on)

Huge congrats to us all!
