Roll up, roll up (if you can, you skinny Minnie’s!) to all the brave WL warriors still battling on and hanging on in there.

8 months in … welcome to thread 8! 🥰

This thread I pledge:
to do two exercise sessions per week.
(There I’ve said it. Better do it now, hadn’t I).

Goal:
Find an amazing dress to wear for an awards ceremony I am going to in November.

Anyone else got any particular targets?

Big love to you all x

CoolLimeSheep · 08/12/2025 16:05

Zibb · 08/12/2025 19:04

usedtobeaylis · 08/12/2025 13:17

Has anyone taken their jag after eating? I'm so out of whack and had taken it on a couple of Mondays but I forgot this morning and I've just eaten my lunch. I don't know whether to take it now, tonight or in the morning! I normally take it first thing in the morning a few hours before I eat.

I almost always did it at night, after dinner. Never really made any difference for me I don't think.

CoolLimeSheep · 08/12/2025 20:17

@MrsHero @WoolerOwl sorry didn't get back to you earlier that must of been so hard for you grief is really hard to deal with isn't it I myself struggle. I did grief that I wasn't going have a baby after nhs fertility tests i was a mess for a while so can understand then got pregnant with my eptopic which gave me hope again and more grief. Will see how things turn out and your all so bloody supportive so thank you 😊

CoolLimeSheep · 08/12/2025 21:33

CoolLimeSheep · 08/12/2025 21:35

Mounjaro Feb 2025 starters (thread 8!)
WoolerOwl · 08/12/2025 22:16

@usedtobeaylis yes, always after eating, breakfast. Preferably something sensible. I found that I got wobbly low blood sugar symptoms if I had eaten nothing.

@CoolLimeSheep yes! But since I started at 100kg, my calculations are easy. 36kg = 36%!

CoolLimeSheep · 08/12/2025 23:01

@WoolerOwl its awesome considering mj has 20% weightloss percentage id say were all smashing it out park 😄just shows what all hard work we've all done

PurpleCoo · 08/12/2025 23:19

There are so many things I am pleased about with this picture! Total loss, percentage of body weight, I am losing weight again after a plateau. I haven't done anything to bring myself out of it, it's just happened... So odd that it looks as though I reduced the dose and things start shifting. A coincidence I am sure.

usedtobeaylis · 08/12/2025 23:28

32% of body weight lost - a whole third of my body weight!

CoolLimeSheep · 09/12/2025 07:49

@PurpleCoo @usedtobeaylis absolutely smashing it. What victory's we all have 😄

SpiralSister · 09/12/2025 08:06

Also 32.5% lost! Mind boggling.

Zibb · 09/12/2025 10:03

I've lost 43.8%

I want to lose more but it's really hard now. Seriously considering starting MJ again if I can budget for it. I see lots of offers on Monj. Even if just for a few months to give me a boost.

Mounjaro Feb 2025 starters (thread 8!)
sweetpickle2 · 09/12/2025 10:05

Some incredible percentages! 27.8% for me.

@Zibb I am having the same dilemma, although pretty annoying that I'd have to start at 2.5mg. Didn't know anywhere was still doing offers so going to look on monj now, thank you!

WoolerOwl · 10/12/2025 07:30

63.3kg this morning, which is 9 stone 13! It’s been a very long time indeed since I saw the nine stone somethings. I think this is a good place to be, as Christmas approaches: I can enjoy myself a little as well as do more exercise/weights during time off and start to build some more muscle.

Mounjaroday · 10/12/2025 12:04

Wow @WoolerOwl!

I’ve been buzzing around 69kg for so long now. My motivation to reach 65kg (slap bang middle healthy bmi for my height) has disappeared into thin air. Maybe after Christmas I’ll go again.

If I adjust my GW slightly - to 66kg (which would be a 6 stone total loss and a very healthy bmi
still) - maybe that’s a better final goal.

3kg is not a lot to lose but the very last pounds seem so hard! Although perhaps if I really focus I CAN do this before Christmas. She says with loads of parties coming up, including one tonight, another tomorrow and Monday, and a big one next Wednesday too.

@WoolerOwl

Wow, that's amazing, and a really good attitude to have too.

I'm currently bouncing around 10st 3, but thanks to everyone in the family taking it in turns to be ill for the last few weeks, I've not been to the gym for aages, so it's probably fair enough!

CoolLimeSheep · 10/12/2025 13:20

@WoolerOwl woohoo fantastic news very positive attitude
@Zibb @sweetpickle2 good weight loss percentages
@Mounjaroday 6 stone is a fantastic amount of weight loss im bouncing around top end of healthy bmi think 24.2 and I can honestly say im happy at that. You can always go to top end then reassess if want lose more after 😊

laundryhamper · 11/12/2025 21:50

31.7% here.
Below my TW now (which was a bit arbitrary anyway) because I know Xmas will pile it on.

PurpleCoo · 12/12/2025 15:49

Weigh in/jab day here.

Injection 44: 6.25mg (on the way down, dropped from 6.75mg last week)
CW: 67.1
SW: 96.55
Week loss: 0.6kg
BMI 25.1

It's been a funny week with numbers. I dipped to 66.85 on Tuesday, but then it bounced up again. I don't mind, this week's loss is still reasonable for this stage I think.

I have also been thinking about my BMI now I am so close to the healthy range, and suddenly questioned the reliability of the height I claim to be. I had 163cm, then though but I am short, what if I am 162cm because people.shrink when they get older, and I'm more overweight than I thought, I need accuracy... I went to the pharmacy for my flu jab and they had a proper digital height measure. I'm 163.5 so now my BMI is 25.1 🤦‍♀️🤣 I am strangely quite pleased to be half a cm taller than I thought I was and also to be closer to a healthy weight than I thought I was.

It's also made me reflect about how I feel about being a healthy weight. Even though I have spent many years being 'slightly overweight' in between the periods of being 'obese', I can't recall being a healthy BMI for decades, despite being very fit and active. I love how I look, and I am delighted with my strength and fitness, but it's also been part of an internalised identity of being 'fat but fit' for so long, it seems a seismic mental shift to identify as a 'person of healthy weight'.

I mean, I'm not there yet, I can still group myself with the overweight people, but next week, maybe the week after, that group of people who are 'overweight' won't include me and that's so weird!! Has anyone had this?

lol @PurpleCoo
yep happened to me. I thought I was 5’5. Nope. Much shorter than that!!!!! Had to lose more weight to get a healthy bmi as a result 🤣

usedtobeaylis · 13/12/2025 09:23

Stepped on the scales this morning and looks there's a potential for 11.13 to be the new 12.3, I haven't moved off it all week 😅

To be fair I am definitely winding down for Christmas and expect a few gains up until January which I'm ok with. I have been quite lax in my calorie counting which I'm also ok with as I feel I'm ok at judging where the calories come from in the kinds of things I eat - until the quality street gets involved. The calories in them 😱No wonder I was 16 stone.

Plan for January is to start tapering off and out. I aim to be off Mounjaro for around May. I am terrified!

ThatJoyousHazelDuck · 13/12/2025 13:44

Happy Saturday peeps! I'm officially off medication for the forseeable, December has screwed me financially so got no choice. Not where i wanted to be, still not budged on the scale, nearly 2 months at 69kg which is a joke, when i can afford to, i will try WG if they let me, that might give me a new year boost.
Currently procrastinating before going out on my long run, need to do 90 minutes but i just want to get back into bed (yes, i know it is nearly 2pm and i should already have done loads). December is decembering.... bring on 2026 is all i can say!

Great to read all your successes though, it does give me a little hope!

Mounjaroday · 13/12/2025 21:54

Ahh, me too @ThatJoyousHazelDuck:
I’m done as well. Run out of funds entirely.

Height 5’7”
SW 103.9 / BMI 35.9 obese
CW 67.4kg / BMI 23.3 upper end healthy
Total loss 36.5kg

My brain is now playing tricks on me, and suggesting that my ultimate target should be 62.5kg. Will slowly go to 65kg and see how I feel then.

In the meantime, need to buy new clothes again. My bras are utterly ridiculous. The size 12 jeans I was so thrilled to squeeze into are literally falling down. Beautiful jacket I bought over the summer is hanging off me.

… but clearly in Zara I’m still a LARGE! 😂

OP posts:
PurpleCoo · 14/12/2025 06:31

Haha, yes clothes sizes are so inconsistent! I have a lovely Vans hoody. It's a very slim fit, even the arms are slim fitting, but it's ok, my arms are looking a lot better these days. Size on the label says XL 🤷 A top that size anywhere else would be a small! Meanwhile, size 10 hiking trousers from Mountain Warehouse are super baggy!
