@OneDayIWillLearn Sorry, I might have misunderstood?

To clarify: Was the golden dose from a 2.5mg pen?
So you jabbed on the Friday and then a second jab on the following Monday, 3 days later?

Was it to change your jab day and move it to a Monday and increase your dose to 5mg at the same time?

If this is a quiet week for you then why not stick with 3.75mg and see how it goes over the weekend, and if the suppression is still working?

Some people definitely need to increase their dosage after each month but for me, I think I’ll stick with the lowest dose I can for now to save money and to lose the weight steadily over winter months.

For one thing, I’m happy to live in baggy jumpers and slouchy pants and I really don’t want to think about buying a new wardrobe until Spring. 😂

I have been jabbing Monday since I started in September but had moved my jab back a bit due to weekday events in November (and quiet weekends) - I’d just done 3 jabs with 6 day intervals basically. My plan was to jab 3.75mg last Friday and then have a ten day gap and start again today, after my weekend away.

BUT a) I was working through a 5mg pen using it for 3.75mg and the last dose (which I took last Friday as a golden dose) was less than I estimated and was probably even slightly less than 3mg. Then I was hungry over the weekend after jabbing on the Friday and thought maybe it was more sensible to do a half dose (I.e. 2.5) to top myself and change my jab day back to a Monday with an early jab then, rather than having a very hungry ten days. And it did work out in that I wasn’t hungry at all, and I have moved my jab day….but yeah, it is all a bit off schedule now!!

OneDayIWillLearn · 01/12/2025 11:54

@Chopsy123 I think you might be right anyway, maybe I just stick to 3.75mg for now

Georgelassosthemoon · 01/12/2025 12:24

Things are still going slowly here although I am down 2lb this week so that is 20lbs in total.
Good thing is that my waist is now down to 35 inches from 39. It’s slightly less than half my height which I believe is a good indicator health wise.

Not much shrinkage on my bottom half though.

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 01/12/2025 12:41

@Chopsy123the app is based on MJ’s chemical make up and it’s half life so the time it takes for the dose to be absorbed by the body and then subsequent rate of elimination.

AI describes it better than I can but essentially if you only ever took 1 jab, it would be 30 days before it is completely out of your system.

BMI etc does not change this but the actual levels will depend on what dose you inject each time and length of time between doses.

checking levels and what you have eaten against side effects should help you understand why side effects happen on one day but not another.

btw I have no involvement with the app other than using it but I understand it was created by a MJ user who wanted to track their own doses and levels.

Chopsy123 · 01/12/2025 11:46

@maz99 I wouldn’t rely on that App too much. It’s presumably based on data averages (like BMI) so gives you a rough guide to your changing body shape. If you look at the image on the bottom right, your tummy definitely looks thinner as well as your boobs shrinking. 😁

Do you also have lovely slim calves and ankles as the pic shows?
I have always had big calves and chunky ankles and even when I was a skinny size 8, my calves were still too wide for long winter boots. 🙁

You're right... the app isn't as exact as it could be because I know the measurements are completely wrong. It's just interesting to see my shape changing, because it's not always noticeable when I look in the mirror.

Yes, my legs are the parts of my body that have the least fat and most muscle - plus first place that I lose.

The skinny ankles & calves are inherited from my mum and hers are even skinnier!

bluepaperwaspofbxl · 01/12/2025 16:36

Well, we learned a lesson this weekend. Have been out celebrating some stuff as a family. Opened a bottle of champagne to share and some other stuff. Had 4-5 small glasses over a 6 hour period and woke up with the worst headache and nausea. Had some juiced ginger and 2 doses of ibuprofen to feel remotely ok during the night and this morning. Coupled with being on a boat in this weekend, in lairy weather, I feel like utter shit.
Haven’t had any alcohol at all since mid September and won’t be haven’t any again on this stuff.

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 01/12/2025 17:01

Sorry talking about different apps…. Ignore me!

Chopsy123 · 01/12/2025 19:47

@bluepaperwaspofbxl OMG! Reading that you were on a boat in crap weather is enough to make me feel giddy.

That’s before you even think about eating and drinking.

I hope you enjoyed the weekend before you started to feel unwell?

SoUncertain · 02/12/2025 10:26

@maz99 The model does look bigger but you lost inches so I'd ignore that! I am terrible at measuring and never get the same answer twice. I would just judge it by your clothes and weight.

@OneDayIWillLearn your plan sounds sensible to me! You basically took 5mg (5.5mg, but a few days apart so one dose was starting to decrease while the other rose in your body).

I'm feeling good on 5mg this week. Lost the food noise from last week - what a relief!

Also I was looking at photos of me from earlier in the year, and my goodness, my face looks so different already! I had such a lot of flab around my chin and neck. Still have some of course, but it's going down!

I am at 119.5kg this week. In 12 weeks on MJ I have lost 12.1kg or 26.7lbs.

I was fine until a few hours after drinking. I tend not to get seasick, even if I’m scared like I was on Sunday! Feeling ok today, but still not 100%.

maz99 · 02/12/2025 19:26

Thanks @SoUncertain
A couple of my XL exercise leggings from TU keep sliding down, so I kind of knew before I measured that I had lost some inches

outofofficeagain · 02/12/2025 19:44

I went to buy a new bra today and had a fitting. I’m still the same size, which I’m pleased about, although on the notch down at the back.

I suspect my bras were actually too small before I lost weight however.

bluepaperwaspofbxl · 04/12/2025 10:35

@Atalosswhat2do @SoUncertain Amazing results!

No loss or gain for me this week. Am back home after several days on a boat in Devon, which wasn't comfortable at this time of the year and I have been very constipated. I've not been eating loads, but have snacked on junk and not eaten well, plus my water intake has been far from ideal. The alcohol I had one night kicked my arse for 2 days. Thankfully, I had some ginger in the fridge for anyone feeling sea-sick and this helped a lot. Looking forward to getting back on track.

SW 86.5kg
CW 74.7kg
No loss this week.

chunkybear · 04/12/2025 10:41

I was on week 12 this week and maintained from 8 weeks 😩 but am 8.5kg loss so can’t complain too much!

SoUncertain · 04/12/2025 13:26

Have you gone up in doses lately, @chunkybear ?

Amazing job @Atalosswhat2do !

@bluepaperwaspofbxl A boat at this time of year sounds rough! We went on the Norfolk broads in late September once and that was cold enough! ❄️ Hope you have fun too though! Good luck this week :)

Pinkbox · 04/12/2025 13:55

@chunkybear I more or less mirror your experience, had great, steady loss for first 7 weeks (1 stone off) and the past 4 weeks I have just gone up and down the same 3lb 🙁

Last week I went up to 3.75 and felt no difference so yesterday I decided to go up to 5.

Today I feel slight indigestion and my breakfast made me feel bloated so I think it’s having an effect again 😊 I am going to stay on 5 throughout Christmas and then either get another 5 pen or drop back if I think I can.

SW 19st 3lbs
CW 15st 9lbs
GW1 15st
GW2 13st
Last week - 1lbs, 49lbs in total

week 15 officially starts tomorrow. that’s my jab day as well but I decided to check my weight today because I’m going out for a dinner and drinks tonight with a group of friends. I have a challenging week ahead: 3 different Xmas gatherings with full meals and drinks. I will be happy next Saturday if I haven’t put any weight back on 😄

I have increased my exercise over the last few weeks and trying to do 5km walk every day. So far so good but that will also be a challenge next week as won’t have time to keep this up. But hey ho, that’s life and I want to enjoy seeing friends/ colleagues, the food and have a few drinks. I don’t have any desire to snack at the moment so hopefully my average weekly calories will be ok even though I will go over my daily calorie target a few times.

namechange0998776554799000 · 05/12/2025 08:16

Going to have a tricky few weeks keeping the appetite under control - I need to have a colonoscopy so have to stop MJ for a week, then I was planning to delay my jab rather than have to take it with me when I go to family on the 26-29th. Hoping the colonoscopy date works out so I can fit a jab in at some point, otherwise it might really mess things up!

GhostOrchid · 05/12/2025 09:11

Weigh in and jab day for me too.

Just shy of a kilo down (1.7lbs) this week, my first on 5mg. Over 10kgs lost now and 10% of body weight gone in 10 weeks. Pretty happy with that.

SW: 109kg
CW: 98.6kg

Nutracheck have set me an initial goal of 97.4kg by 15 December which I guess I might just miss. Plus December socialising is about to kick in. I guess if I can get to and hold my weight at about 96-97kg over the Christmas period I’ll be quite happy with that.

Oh my goodness well done! You should be so proud! 3 weeks before Christmas and you have smashed goal 1, what’s your next goal now?

Thank you 🤗 i've only had 2 people comment on my weight loss other than my partner but my clothes tell a different story.

My next goal is my final goal of 8 stone 7. That puts me at 21.8 bmi, right in the middle of the healthy range. I'm only 5ft 2 so pretty short 😅

It feels unachievable but in reality its 16lbs so i'd like to think i will make it!

Kazzaa46 · 05/12/2025 22:26

I took my jab 2 days late on Monday due to forgetting to take it away with me.
I’d had nausea for 3 mornings last week after my 3rd jab of 5mg and deliberated between taking a lower dose or not taking it as I was away with work this week and wanted to avoid feeling sick.

I chose to take 3.75mg, zero side effects but zero suppression so tomorrow I’ll be back to 5mg. I’m ashamed to say I’ve overeaten the last few days.

I definitely need 5mg now to feel the effects. Hopefully last week’s nausea was a one off as I’ve never experienced it before in 3 months.
