I'm thinking ahead to Christmas. I normally jab on a Thursday, but that's Christmas Day and I'll then be away for a few days. I'm thinking I'll just leave it until I get home on the Monday, which would be a 4 day gap. Everything I've read seems to indicate this would be fine? I'm not too worried about overeating/gaining weight over the holidays, I've lost too much too quickly so I think a bit of a break will do me good. Does anyone else have similar plans?

SerafinasGoose · 28/11/2025 18:28

Today's weigh-in

SW - 15 st BMI 30
2nd GW - 13 st
CW - 13 st 6 lbs BMI 27.8
Loss - 1 lb
Total Loss - 21 lbs

GhostOrchid · 28/11/2025 22:53

End of week 9 and another kg down so I’m now under 100kgs. Nice to be back in double figures. I’ve felt pretty hungry this week though so I’ve gone up to 5mg so we’ll see how I feel on that.

SW - 109kg
CW - 99.4 kg

So that’s just over a stone and a half gone in 9 weeks and I’m only 5 pounds away from the mini Christmas goal Nutracheck set for me, which I think is 10% of starting weight. Hopefully I’ll make that fairly comfortably.

SoUncertain · 29/11/2025 00:04

Well done everyone! I'm noticing my big coat is feeling a lot baggier now too :)

I'm doing really weirdly this week. Swinging between healthy small meals and sugary cravings. I'm going to go up to 5mg this weekend.

JustPickleRick · 29/11/2025 07:43

Weigh day for me!

End of week 13 and i've lost 1lb.

SW: 12 st 9
CW: 9 st 11

I've changed my food up this week so maybe thats caused only a 1lb loss. Calories have still been within their range though. Never mind, I guess it's still a loss :)

I stuck with 3.75 for my jab last night, seems to be doing the job still.

Bigbus · 29/11/2025 08:58

I’m excited to have made it to overweight! I am no longer obese! So far I have lost 2 stone and 5 pounds. I’m on 7.5mg now and this seems to be a reasonable dose for me.

@namechange0998776554799000 i am
so wondering about Christmas. Wednesday is my injection day so I often feel the worst on Thursday and Friday. I might skip it and take it on Friday night instead.

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 29/11/2025 09:10

Morning all, checking in with my Saturday morning weigh in.

W14 D1 4.25mg
SW 19st 3lbs
CW 15st 10lbs
GW1 15st
GW2 13st

Last week -3lbs, 48lbs in total. In kgs I’m now 99.9kg, a big milestone (even if it’s just by 100g 😄) as I can’t remember last time I was under 100kg!

I did some comparisons between doses/ weight loss and as expected, the average weekly rate is slowing down. This is good because my overall weight loss so far frightens me a bit, I didn’t expect the weight to come off this fast. I think this is definitely due to portion sizes and food choices. I can’t believe how much I have been overeating, mainly pasta, cheese, bread and “healthy snacks”. Plus wine!

After feeling hungry the week before and not really having much suppression, I decided to increase the dose marginally and went up to 4.25mg last Saturday, I’m feeling really good again, I can eat my “new normal size” 3 meals a day plus few snacks, not hungry/not full and I have no cravings.

I hope you’re all well and have a good weekend! I can see that Christmas has been mentioned.. Has anyone started thinking about their strategy leading up to/during Christmas? I have one week coming up when I need to go through 3 Christmas dinners 🫣

outofofficeagain · 29/11/2025 09:32

Also realised I went past the 10% mark last week and didn’t notice! So that’s progress.

I’m not having a strategy for Christmas. I feel like it will be easier as I won’t be so tempted. Mince pies, stollen, Christmas cake are usually my downfall. I also jab on a Thursday so might put it off until Boxing Day.

Weigh in day and I’m finally into the next bracket… just! 💃
Third jab of 3mg (36 clicks) from my 5mg pen.

SW 14st 12lbs.
CW. 12st 13.75lbs.

Lost 1.25lbs this week.

Weight loss has been much slower this month with only 5.5lbs for the whole month. At least it’s still going downwards.

Chopsy123 · 29/11/2025 09:53

TBH, I’m not worried about gaining weight over Christmas as I never do.

We don’t socialise much at Christmas so no works parties etc. I rarely eat out as fussy DH is a bit phobic and won’t eat food in public so I only eat out if I’m joining friends and at this time of year, everyone is with their families.

Also, our Christmas dinner is very low key as it’s just the 3 of us and as the other 2 (DH & teen DS) are fussy eaters, it tends to be a roast chicken with a bit of veg. They’re just not interested in food and both of them are extremely skinny buggers. They don’t like Christmas cake or mince pies. None of us drink alcohol either.

My downfall was evening snacking on crisps and chocolate and I’ve not really touched either since starting WLI’s.

At least the Christmas food budget is cheap. 😬

JustPickleRick · 29/11/2025 14:57

😅 i'm not sure what my plan of action will be with all the things coming up over xmas but I'd like to think i will let me myself enjoy it. I've got 2 nights out on the 12th and 15th which revolve around dinner so i'm going to let myself enjoy them 🤩 i'm more worried about the alcohol side of things as thats where some people seem to have been the most poorly! I've not drank anything at all yet since starting 😅 on xmas day, we're round at my inlaws and I don't want to make things even more suspicious by not eating much! I look a lot slimmer which will already raise eyebrows lol

maz99 · 29/11/2025 19:46

I've drunk whilst on MJ - 2nd or 3rd week... after work drinks had 3 double flavoured Gin & Tonic (can't stomach unflavoured gin), and I have rtjnk 3 or 4 more times since. I try to stick to gin because I remember from my keto days that clear alcohol is lower carbs, less impact on blood sugar than other spirits or wine

The lack of chocolate is my biggest win I think!! Honestly could easily eat a 180g bar in 24h in the past, and that was pretty regular. Now if DH buys a bar it stays in the cupboard for AGES! Unheard of for me.

I am starting to look at things in the supermarket like "oh, we should have a tub of chocolates for Christmas", but no, we really shouldn't!! DD has plenty of treats with her birthday being next week and several other friends around the same time, DH is trying to lose weight, and I certainly don't need them lying around! You're right - I'll be saving a fortune! (Might even cover the cost of the meds 🤣)

SoUncertain · 29/11/2025 21:04

@JustPickleRick I had two drinks at a meal out. I don't tend to drink very often anyway, so no tolerance really, but I wasn't ill or anything. Don't go mad but I think a couple should be ok.

SoUncertain · 29/11/2025 22:34

I've just moved up to 5mg after a little over a week of food noise. God, I really didn't remember how much it sucked until it started returning! Hoping 5mg will quieten my brain again.

I had this when I stayed on 5mg for two months - at the end of the second month the food noise was back and I ended up taking the last dose 2 days early. I’m sticking to 7.5mg for now as this seems to have worked and I get quite bad nausea. Going up a dose definitely worked for me so hopefully it will for you too. I think everyone has different levels at which they get the best balance of suppression and side effects

Pinkbox · 30/11/2025 12:47

I took my first 3.75 dose on Wednesday and other than feeling like I need to burp the whole time, I haven’t had the suppression at mealtimes that I had in the first month or so of 2.5.

I am being really strict with myself because I don’t feel much is happening via the MJ at the moment, I’m not sure why.

GhostOrchid · 30/11/2025 14:03

Took my first dose of 5mg on Friday evening. Took a little while to kick in, as usual for me, but appetite is pretty much killed now. Just has very late brunch of scrambled eggs, avocado and pitta bread and wasn’t feeling at all hungry and perfectly satisfied with a small portion. I’m a little gassy but otherwise no noticeable side effects.

A couple of NSVs. A pair of jeans that I used to avoid wearing as they only just did up and were uncomfortably tight and restrictive now fit fine, and even gape at the back of the waist. After a day’s wear they’re actually a bit loose and I can pull them down without undoing them.

A pair of moleskin(esque) trousers I bought from Tu years ago and couldn’t even pull over my hips and arse, let alone do up, now fit. Well, they’re a bit snug and there’s a hungry bum but they fit. They’re high waisted, which is a style I should really avoid, as they never look good. I have a fat tummy and bottom but relatively small waist.

Both garments are a size 18 so a reminder that I’ve still a way to go, but this sort of tangible progress is a great way to stay motivated.

maz99 · 30/11/2025 22:34

Friday was my 3 month anniversary on MJ, so I took my measurements.

Change from last month / total inches lost since August

Biceps 0.25 / 1.0
Chest 0.5 / 3.5
Bust 0.75 / 4.5
Waist 0.75 / 5.75
Hip 1.0 / 3.0
Thigh 0 / 2.0

Even though the measurements show I've lost inches around my stomach, too me my stomach looks bigger than last month in the image from the MeThreeSixty app.

What do you think?

Oh... has anyone come across any good black Friday deals? I just opened a 7.5mg pen last week to take 5mg doses and I have a 10mg pen in the fridge. I'm thinking of buying a 12.5mg... new customer @ Bolt for £219 - does anyone know a better price?

I’m having a bit of a dilemma about 3.75mg vs 5mg! I thought I’d decided I was definitely going up. In preparation last week I jabbed 3mg (golden dose) on Friday and then 2.5mg on the Monday I.e. 7 days ago. I am going to jab again today but my suppression since last Monday has been really high, even right up to yesterday/ today. I was away for the weekend with friends in Amsterdam, so it was quite foodie/ boozy and I did partake but it was really quite noticeable how much less I could manage than anyone else.

This week is fairly quiet but the two weeks after are quite busy and sociable and I’m just not sure I want to be at such a high level of suppression!!

On the plus side, the topic of WLI came up within about half an hour of meeting up with my friends, not because I said anything but because someone else mentioned she wanted to go on them, so people starting talking about it and I just thought, this is my chance to say without it being forced/ awkward so I went ahead said I was on them. My friends were really curious and supportive, and my friend is probably going to start them. I was glad I’d told them because it made it much easier when I couldn’t finish meals etc and they are very close friends so it was actually nice to feel it was out in the open.

Anyway, back to my 3.75mg vs 5mg dilemma! I’ll probably go for 5 today and then do less next week if I find the suppression too high I think, but putting off the decision until this afternoon….

Chopsy123 · 01/12/2025 11:35

@OneDayIWillLearn Sorry, I might have misunderstood?

To clarify: Was the golden dose from a 2.5mg pen?
So you jabbed on the Friday and then a second jab on the following Monday, 3 days later?

Was it to change your jab day and move it to a Monday and increase your dose to 5mg at the same time?

If this is a quiet week for you then why not stick with 3.75mg and see how it goes over the weekend, and if the suppression is still working?

Some people definitely need to increase their dosage after each month but for me, I think I’ll stick with the lowest dose I can for now to save money and to lose the weight steadily over winter months.

For one thing, I’m happy to live in baggy jumpers and slouchy pants and I really don’t want to think about buying a new wardrobe until Spring. 😂

putthehamsterbackinitscage · 01/12/2025 11:36

@OneDayIWillLearn do you track levels in your system? There are apps you can use that show estimated levels if you record your jabs…. MJ has a half life of 5 days so when you jabbed 3 days later, that topped you up, so was the equivalent of the 2 jabs added together plus any residual from the previous week.

i track using Shotsy app (free version) so can see effects of each jab and levels rising and falling…

Chopsy123 · 01/12/2025 11:46

@maz99 I wouldn’t rely on that App too much. It’s presumably based on data averages (like BMI) so gives you a rough guide to your changing body shape. If you look at the image on the bottom right, your tummy definitely looks thinner as well as your boobs shrinking. 😁

Do you also have lovely slim calves and ankles as the pic shows?
I have always had big calves and chunky ankles and even when I was a skinny size 8, my calves were still too wide for long winter boots. 🙁
