I’ve lost 2.5lb this week. Having a cough/cold type bug has destroyed my appetite which is why it’s a bit higher this week I think.

W1: 5.5 lb
W2: 1.5lb.
W3: 3lb.
W4: 2lb.
W5: 1.5lb
W6: 1.5lb
W7: 2lb
W8: 2.5lb
Total loss: 1 stone 5.5lb

It’s been 3 full days since I increased to 5mg on Saturday evening. I’ve continued to be lucky with no side effects. I think if anything I actually feel better on this dose. I’m sleeping better and just feel better in myself (respiratory bug aside).
That’s not to rub it in for anyone suffering on 5mg but more to reassure anyone worried about moving to this dose which gets a bad rep, that it doesn’t end up bad for everyone 🥰

Oh no you’ve been through it haven’t you, that’s awful. This cough bug is nasty isn’t it, I’m similar as my chest is too bad to exercise currently and I’d been doing so well with regular workouts.

It’s gutting as I’ve was doing so well with my workouts and steps. Hopefully we’ll both be better soon x

@JustPickleRick you will get 5 x doses of 3.75mg. I did 4 doses of 3.75 and then took my 5th dose as 5mg as there are enough clicks left for this but that’s only as I felt I needed to increase. Some people then take a 6th GD but I didn’t as I don’t like syringes 🤣

Is anyone finding any supplements useful or any not so good?
I found the wellguard fibre gummies to be useless for constipation and reading the label they don’t even have that much fibre.
I’ve been taking nutrition geeks collagen glow up in my morning coffee. I never really bought into collagen as I’d heard mixed reviews but actually I’ve noticed my dry skin is better and my nails are growing really quickly.
I’m also taking wellgard my journey but have no idea if they’re helping or not 😆

My weight loss has definitely slowed down when I stayed on 5mg for two months so I took my first 7.5 tonight. I’m not looking forward to the nausea but I’m hoping it will help me hit that 2 stone loss - I’m 1st 12lbs done so far but a bit stuck now!

@Kazzaa46 I’m taking collagen (started this way before mj to help with skin and hair), biotin and pumpkin seed oil for hair. I think biotin and pumpkin oil are working well on nails as my nails have got very strong. Collagen is quite expensive so I might drop that or change the brand. I’m also taking magnesium and iron tablets. Iron because I suffer from very heavy periods and my iron levels have dropped few times over the last few years.

I’m paranoid with potential hair loss so I’ve also started using serum on my scalp. My hair is very fine and I don’t have lots of it so I’m trying everything 😄

Question about keeping unopened pen out of fridge.

We are going away for a few weeks and even if I try to change my jab days a bit, I will end up taking a pen with me which will be out of fridge for 3-4 days before I take my first jab. So my question is, do you guys think if there is any difference if the pen is opened or unopened when out of fridge? If I start counting the days from when we leave until I take the last jab from that pen, that all will be within 30days. Otherwise I will have to bin the golden dose from the previous pen and I don’t want to waste my money 💰

3.75 done today. Weight loss has really slowed this week but I’m sticking with this dose. I think I’ve got a little complacent and need to up my exercise rather than the dose. If no weight loss next week then I’ll go up to 5 a week early.

My doctor friend says collagen has minimal benefit but maximum marketing opportunity.

I’m not buying more after this one.

i am taking creatine too which (I think) makes a difference and is much cheaper

Great results, a good boost at the start and then steady progress since. That’s what I was aiming for but I’ve not been quite so successful! I think I need to drop my daily calories even though I have used a TDEE calculator. Weigh in day for me in Friday and with various hospital visits these past two weeks, I missed last week so I’m being hopeful for this week!

I’ll be coming off Mounjaro in December ahead of surgery but I’ll continue to be careful what I eat as best I can, I won’t be mobile for a few weeks so dependent on people cooking for me or ready meals. As I’m hoping to have more surgery in February, I don’t think I’ll be back on Mounjaro until after then. It seems silly to go back on 2.5mg after a 3 week gap ( been told to stop taking it 2 weeks before and no start again until after another week) only to have to stop again.

I did lose about 2 stone before using Mounjaro by intermittent fasting and counting calories so I’ll go back to that.

@UnimaginableWindBird @outofofficeagain Thanks so much for helping with the scales, I got all the information I needed to show up on the app last night :-) I do usually weigh in the morning but it was just before my jab so I hopped on.
Weirdly it shows a lack of water and I carry a bottle around the house and drink more than anyone I know...!

Apparently water can also be related to the carbs you're eating and storing. So when we store carbs in the body we store water too (hence why we can lose so much water at the beginning)

If you eat less carbs you'll store more water but it's not connected to hydration.

A scientist may come along and tell me I'm talking out of my ass!

I have a family member who's a personal trainer and he's said the numbers on the Renpho scales are not particularly accurate. My numbers are going down which is good but he says its not as accurate as it could be so don't pay too much attention to it.

How are the 3.75mg crew getting on? I know there was a few of us who went up at the same time. I think I’m on my 5th dose of 3.75mg and up until this week I would have said it was working brilliantly but yesterday and today (5 and 6 days post jab) I’ve been getting lots of food noise and lower suppression - which is reminding me how tough it is to stay on track when you’ve got that going on! And how little I want it back!!

I think I’ve got another 2 x 3.75mg in my current pen plus I’ve got a 2.5mg pen which I was planning to get 3 weeks of 3.75mg from but now I’m wondering if it’s not actually coming time to go up.

@OneDayIWillLearn I just increased to 5mg on Saturday after 4 weeks of 3.75mg. It felt like I needed a bit more. I’m on day 6 of 5mg and I feel way better on this dose than 3.75 in that my constipation and sleep are better.

I actually did the last two after 6 days rather than 7 but that was because I wanted to change my jabbing day and I didn’t especially feel like I needed it early those weeks (ironically!). I could jab early again tomorrow I guess. Going to see how I feel tomorrow I think….

I hope everyone is ok today. I’m on week 8 and the first week of 5mg, I did 3.75 last week as I was worried about side effects but the suppression didn’t last so I bit the bullet and went up.

I’ve definitely had more nausea, it seems to be at the times I should technically be hungry so I eat something small and it subsides. I’m alo
nauseous during exercise which isn’t great because I’m trying to up my exercise this week. Im
going to persevere though, hopefully I won’t feel so sick next week.
SW 18 stone 4 (19 stone 11 the year before)

I feel like my loss isn’t on the scales at all this week, I weighed the same 6 days ago but I’ll see if it all catches up over the weekend. I’m finding it quite hard to stay patient, especially when I’ve upped the exercise and felt so sick.

No loss for me again, that’s two weeks in a row! No idea why as I track calories daily and am within my calorie deficit but I’m going to drop a couple of hundred next week to see if I can nudge the scales. Bearing in mind the nasty side effects I get after every injection, I’m a bit annoyed!
