@familyornot well done on your loss so far! I’m few weeks ahead of you (wk12 d1 weigh in tomorrow) and currently weighing 16st 3lbs. My first target weight is 15st, second one 13st. 10st feels like a dream 😄

wodantimbercoaster · 14/11/2025 12:22

Weigh in day for me and it's my first time of not losing since I started my Mounjaro adventure on Sept 4th 😟. I'm trying hard to not get downhearted, as I haven't put anything on, I stayed the same. And I also know it will be because I started my period today! It still feels a bit disappointing though! Just need to get over myself and carry on! In good news, I had my second injection of 3.75mg last night and I could hardly finish my lunchtime bottle of huel just now, so the suppression has clearly kicked in really well today.

UnimaginableWindBird · 14/11/2025 12:42

Oh. I'm a 4th September starter, @wodantimbercoaster, so we are practically thread twins. If I have a disappointing weigh-in, I like to read old weigh-ins from people who have lost loads and are now maintaining, because they have weeks of staying the same and gaining, and they are always followed by a loss soon afterwards, although some people plateau more once they are at a healthy BMI and are just trying to lose a bit more.

That's a good idea, thank you. I'm hoping a good loss will follow in the next or two. I'm far from a healthy BMI (35.9) so still plenty of journey left! I've lost 24lbs so far which is very good for me as peri menopause has made losing weight so much slower than when I was in my 20s/30s.....losing weight was so much easier then! Hope you're getting on well too.

GhostOrchid · 14/11/2025 15:30

Dropped another 2.5lbs this week, which I’m delighted with given I’ve been quite busy socially. Two meals out plus a trip away to stay with friends who fed us lasagne, tiramisu, cheese, banana bread and booze. I’ve been careful to eat sensibly the rest of the time though, and am trying to track calories as best I can, even when out and about to keep myself accountable. Not really feeling much hunger although can still eat easily in social situations - something interesting psychologically here I think. When at home or work I find it very easy to stay low cal and low carb.

So kind of amazed. I seem to be dropping a kilogram(ish) a week reliably and am only 5kg from my Christmas goal.

No side effects at all other than a little fatigue after jabbing, sluggish bowels when I’ve not drunk enough water and a couple of mild sulphur burps after spicy or rich meals.

SerafinasGoose · 14/11/2025 16:17

SW - 15 st BMI 30
1st GW - 13 st 7 (9% bodyweight)
CW - 13 st 8 lbs BMI 28.1
Loss this week - 1 lb
Total Loss - 20 lbs

I've lost a car tyre. That seems incredible!

lulu1921 · 14/11/2025 19:25

So sorry I haven’t kept in touch, I’m not allowed to use the internet for personal use in work time and I’m so busy that when I’m not working I’m doing the rest, pick up kids, feed kids, feed husband and I, rest and repeat. Same for most of us no doubt.

I've had my first week of it seriously wearing off, I took one dose of 5mg last week and went back to 2.5mg but seriously I feel like I’ve had nothing. Like I’m full on working solely by myself and I’ve messed up more than once this week.

food noise is back with a vengeance and I’m drinking wine and enjoying the taste. Totally rewarding myself when I shouldn’t be.

makes me think of life after mj and how I might be one of those people who pile it all back on. Oh I’m feeling very sorry for myself indeed.

Absolutelycluelesss · 14/11/2025 20:54

Hey all. Quick question, this will be my 9th jab and for the first time I think I may have done it wrong 🙈. Needle definitely went in but when I pushed the plunger down some of the liquid ran down my leg?! So now I have no idea if it’s actually gone in or not but when I took the needle out it definitely came out of my skin and I had the pin prick mark…I’m hoping I’ve not just wasted a dose 🙈🙈

JustPickleRick · 14/11/2025 21:03

I've just messed my jab up too 😅🫠 it was my first time doing a golden dose and it was hard work! Ended up frothing it all up so waited for it to settle and I injected it anyway. It looked clear and settled by the time I did but bloody hell 😬 might be because I was trying to pull 0.9 from the pen. Bent the first needle 😅 Its not into a vein so i'm not worried about the bubbles.

Did it feel like much liquid that went down your leg? Hopefully most of it went in!

Absolutelycluelesss · 14/11/2025 21:08

@JustPickleRick a fair bit yeah….cant believe it im so annoyed with myself. I was doing it stood up where normally I’m sat down…I’m just going to wait and see (and hope) I get much suppression over the next few days and if not jab again …x

Chopsy123 · 14/11/2025 09:29

@familyornot Wow, 26lb loss in 8 weeks is brilliant! Well done you. 👏

Thank you, that’s really kind!
My husband and mum know I’m on Mounjaro but no one else does, not one person has commented 😆 which means they all know but daren’t say anything!

We’re on the same track! It seems like such a long way but it definitely sees more manageable than it ever has before. But 10 stone still does seem like a dream, I can’t even imagine getting there. We’ll do it though!

JustPickleRick · 15/11/2025 08:38

Weigh in day for me today. Took my second 3.75 dose last night, 12 jab in total.

SW: 12 st 9 lb
CW: 10 st 1 lb
Another 2lb down! 36lb lost in total.

I can't believe how close I am to being back in the 9 stone bracket 🥹

Finding 3.75 to be side effect free like the 2.5 so i'm pleased with that.

Ihateslugs · 15/11/2025 09:49

Weigh in for me, Jab 10. 5mg dose for second month.

I did not post last week as I had stayed the same. I lost just over 1 lb this week, disappointing really as I really am struggling now to lose but on the bright side, I’ve not gained anything!

I am still getting side effects each week, the diarrhea started again last night so after an almost sleepless night, a little encouragement re weight would have been good!

I have to stop taking Mounjaro anyway in a couple of weeks as I’m have knee replacement surgery on the 16th December and the consultant has told me to stop taking it 2 weeks before. Rather than just stop suddenly, I’ve decided to take 2.5mg for my next 2 jabs and then stop.

I could start again after a week or so but as I’m hoping to have my second knee replacement after 8 weeks, it hardly seems worth it. I lost more weight anyway when dieting without WLI so I’ll just carry on eating the same healthy meals and use will power to resist snacking! I got used to eating less over the summer so hopefully that will help.

Whether I start again after my second knee replacement depends on how well I do dieting, unfortunately I think I’m one of the few people for whom Mounjaro is not suitable. My social life is rubbish right now as I can’t leave the house for a couple of days each week with an upset stomach and I was so looking forward to enjoying life again after years of knee pain. A lot to consider.

Georgelassosthemoon · 15/11/2025 11:35

Yay! After four weeks on 16st 10, the scales have moved. To 16st 9.9!
At least I know it’s not the scales.
That is still 1 stone 4lbs in 9 weeks but I’d like to get going again now please.

Bigbus · 15/11/2025 12:11

Almost exactly three months after starting (I started near the end of August), one month of 2.5, two months of 5 and just gone up to 7.5mg (so far so good!) - 2 stone gone! I feel so much better. I’m so glad I did this after years of anxiety about it. The absence of food noise and lack of desire to gobble fried carbs all day has been such a relief. Only a few pounds to go until I’m overweight instead of obese!

I think naturally thin people don’t really understand what it’s like being overweight and living a constant battle to not overeat. People who think we’re just lazy should try living in our pre-mounjaro heads for a week!

SnowWhiteisMyFavourite · 15/11/2025 13:03

W12 D1 (3.75mg)
SW 19st 3lbs
CW 16st 2lbs
GW1 15st
GW2 13st
Last week -1lbs

That’s the lowest weight loss for me over the last 3 months. This is quite interesting as the calorie intake has remained very similar to previous weeks and I have actually been more active this week. I have eaten more bread than previously, need to find a better alternative to iceberg lettuce as the weather gets colder and I don’t fancy salad anymore. Any nice lunch ideas which are not salad based?

OneDayIWillLearn · 15/11/2025 13:45

My food noise and suppression were better yesterday (day 7) after being a bit AWOL day 5 and 6, so I held out and jabbed at 7 days this morning, 3.75mg again. I recently started taking naproxen and I hadn’t realised you were meant to take it with food so I think I might have been getting a sore tummy from that which could have been confusing things!

My weight seems to jump around so that it’s hard to see trends but if I look back from last Tuesday when I weighed and the Tuesday 4 weeks earlier then I’m only 3.25lbs down over that 4 week period. Considering I haven’t been calorie counting over those 4 weeks and I’ve had quite a lot of social and work events, and have been more relaxed at the weekends, maybe that’s ok. But it makes me think I need to be careful as any slower than that and it’s going to take an age to get where I need to be!

I think I’m going to stick to 3.75mg for a couple more weeks unless the food noise gets worse again though and really try to focus on water (which I’m terrible at) and starting to up activity and hope that helps keep things on track…..

Lentil soup (homemade or tinned) or a pot of cottage cheese are my go-tos at the moment!

It’s hard to stay motivated when the scales aren’t moving much isn’t it!! One thing that did cheer me up yesterday was trying on clothes that I hadn’t worn since August/ early September though - I could really notice a difference

Georgelassosthemoon · 15/11/2025 14:24

@OneDayIWillLearn this is it, I know my clothes are looser, I’ve visibly lost weight, gone down a size, lost 3 inches off my waist but it’s frustrating not to see the scales move.

Pinkbox · 15/11/2025 14:52

My new scales are weighing 1.5 lb more than my ancient ones so I’ve gone back over into the 12s Hmm I know I’ve had the same total weight loss no matter how I weigh myself, but it’s a bit disheartening all the same.

WhiteAmaryllis · 15/11/2025 15:49

I've been useless at taking photos to track the change, but just realised my ring doorbell has been charting the difference very clearly when I leave the house each day. Quite eye-opening!

I hadn’t even thought of this - I’m going to check mine! I didn’t take photographs this time around, I have them from my heaviest starting weight over a year ago though when I decided to try and lose. I lost and then gained half of it back, I’ve got back to where I left off with the help of MJ, just got the rest to lose now.

familyornot · 16/11/2025 07:15

@Ihateslugsdid they explain why you needed to stop taking MJ before your knee replacement? I have a friend in a similar situation, her operation is coming up but they haven’t told her to stop, I want to make sure she’s been given the correct advice.

I’m sorry MJ is giving you such difficult side effects, that must be so hard to deal with.
