You have just described the symptoms I get after every jab! I had these side effects even when on 2.5mg and only had one week, last week, when I did not actually have diarrhea or constipation. I was gutted last night when I started the stomach cramps and wind just after I sent to bed as I only did my injection that morning so was not anticipating such a quick reaction.
I had delayed injecting for one day as I did not to be running to the toilet on Saturday afternoon while chairing an important meeting, according to my previous experiences, I thought any side events would be on day 2 following the injection but no, my body decided to fool me! I was fine for the meeting though fortunately!
I now have to get my next pen and as I’d not had any reactions after jab 3, I was going to go up to 7.5mg but now I’m not too sure, I might still get it but only inject 5mg for the first jab. In fact, I’ve now gone back to thinking that these injections are not for me. I lost at least 13lb between 26th July and 15th September when I did my first injection, I am not certain of my starting weight though as I did not buy any scales for a month or so and based my weight on a previous hospital visit 3 years ago. I know I’d put on weight since then as I’d gone up a dress size!
Since 15th August, first jab, I’ve lost 10.5lb in the 7 weeks since then. So in a similar timeframe ie 7 weeks, I lost more weight through diet than when using Mounjaro and paying a fortune for the pleasure of spending two days each week sat on the toilet! As my mobility restricts me from increasing my activity levels, I can’t even say that my muscle tone has improved instead!
I am so undecided about carrying on, looking at my diary for November, I’m likely to have to cancel a number of social events due to the side effects and living alone, my social life is very important to my mental health.
