@2025istheyeari I’m so sorry. How bloody frustrating for you!

@BreezyPeer amazing stats - seeing your progress keeps me going!

A bit of a whoosh this week (first since end of July!) with 2.4 lbs off! Wegovy took a while to kick in but 2.4mg is definitely my jam.

SW 15.10 (30th Jan)
CW 11.0.7 (within a hairs’ breadth of the 10s!)
GW 9.10

Am reconsidering my GW as at 5’6, whilst not particularly tall, it doesn’t feel like there’s that much left of me. I’m a 10/12 which is far beyond anything I thought possible. Maybe around 10.4 perhaps. Anyway, something I’ll ponder as I go.

Well done/good luck to all those checking in today!

@BreezyPeer @meatyryvita you’re storming this !!!

Jins · 13/11/2025 07:26

I really feel for you @BreezyPeer and @2025istheyeari. This job hunting lark with multiple interview and weeks to wait is ridiculous. I completely understand that second )or even third at a push) interviews are desirable but 6!!!!

Good day on the food front with only a tiny accountability issue to report. A single cube of cinnamon bun fudge. Sounds odd but it’s just a faintly spiced flavour with no actual bun in it. Not for the faint hearted - this is seriously sweet. I could have troughed the lot so I’m proud of stopping at one.

Other more concerning news came in that my brother isn’t very well at all. Refusing to see a doctor which is typical for him. Fingers crossed he’ll see sense soon.

Have a great day all. Nothing exciting planned here

HeidiLite · 13/11/2025 07:34

57.7 kilos this morning, so around my goal. I don't want to be any slimmer in general, but would like to at the moment lose another kilo or 2 to have a buffer for Xmas.
Also happy to report skin is shrinking nicely. Have been taking collagen as well, so that could have an effect, hard to say. But will continue just in case.
And my perioral dermatitis, I've had it since I was a teenager. Haven't had any massive outbreaks in recent years, but had those permanently red patches on my skin, and they are now gone!

Zempy · 13/11/2025 07:38

Sorry to hear that @Jins. I hope you/he can get to the bottom of it quickly.

Huge solidarity to everyone who has been through interview processes recently. They seem to have evolved into huge complex beasts and just end up traumatising applicants rather than allowing them to demonstrate skills, knowledge and suitability. I really don’t have the stomach for it nowadays.

Not weighing as constipated for a few days. Will take senna tonight and weigh in tomorrow.

MJalltheway · 13/11/2025 07:43

@2025istheyeari how frustrating for you, especially after such a long process. Take some time to relax and regroup. 💐
@BreezyPeer and @meatyryvita great results!
I was fully expecting to have increased today after eating a huge curry last night but stayed the same this morning.

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 13/11/2025 07:54

@2025istheyeari I am really sorry to hear that. I agree, take a break if you can. As you know I have been pipped to the post several times in the last year and it is really very demoralising. I also think that looking for a new job becomes almost a full time job in itself and takes so much more emotional energy than working because you look to the future, plan how it looks and get your hopes up. 💐

I'm away with one of my bits of work for a couple of nights. I thought I was over travelling for work - this week has reinforced it for me. I've eaten sensibly although did have a proper sandwich/bread for lunch yesterday.

Looking forward to getting home, jabbing 8.75mg and having a quiet night in with 🐈, candle and homemade soup unless I cba and stop at M&S to buy some (which is always possible).

Jins · 13/11/2025 08:43

Thanks @Zempy. Unfortunately we all suspect that 40 years of smoking has caught up with him. Nothing we can do except wait for him to see sense and see a doctor.

I’m noticing the cold for the first time in my life! It’s probably the lack of internal insulation but I’ve been thinner than this before and didn’t even own a coat back then. I thought the MJ feeling cold wore off ages ago. I’m still really enjoying the lack of interest in food that I’m getting from my current dose but I am losing weight so I’ll have to taper back down. I’ve got 2 full 10mg pens and a 5mg in the fridge and I’m still not sure what my maintenance level is going to be but through necessity it will have to be whatever I can afford. I’m doing some calculations.

Has anyone heard anything about the new pens filtering into the market yet? I’m interested to know just how much they hold.

HeidiLite · 13/11/2025 09:13

sorry @Jins
My mum is a chain smoker and yes we are also all waiting for this to catch up. Hope it's not bad news.

The cold is definitely here, I thought I had gotten over it but no, it was just summer. Can recommend thermals, have bought several tops and they do help. And there are a lot of pretty ones on the market that look like normal clothes, not like grandpa underwear.

MJalltheway · 13/11/2025 10:49

I also have invested in quite a few thermal vests. I'm cold all the time except for at night when I'm then roasting hot. 🥵

Really hope your brother is ok @jins, it's so frustrating when they won't go to
see a doctor. We had that with my DF a couple of years ago, we all knew he likely had prostate cancer from the symptoms but it took MONTHS of nagging from all of us to get him to a doc. I don't understand the head-in-the-sand attitude. I mean, I know it's because they are scared but ignoring it doesn't make the problem go away, it can only make it worse.

myladyjane · 13/11/2025 13:05

I am sorry @Jins that’s tough.

like you @MJalltheway I am cold in the day and hot at night. I am married to a human hot water bottle though who is still wearing tshirt and shorts. I got some thermal leggings from Tesco the other day - I have room in my knee length boots now and I figure midi dress plus long boots and no one will see the thermals….

2025istheyeari · 13/11/2025 13:26

Thanks so much everyone, really appreciate the support. It’s exactly as you all say, you invest so much time in these processes, put your emotional energy into each one and dare to dream and then those dreams are shattered! The 6 interview one was probably a blessing tbh, I was doubting how much autonomy I’d have and how organised they were.

A friend came over and dragged me for a 10k walk in the sunshine, we live in a hilly area so nice cardio workout, c25k can wait for another day. Feel much better!!

My learning is that while finding a job is important, it doesn’t come at the expense of everything else, so I’m
going to plan things and try to enjoy this time off as well! I honestly thought I’d have found a new role by now but hey ho!

@meatyryvitayay, great news, well done, so pleased Wegovy is working!

@Jinssorry to hear about your brother, hope he sees a GP soon and that they can help. Well done on the one piece of fudge too, that must have taken some doing!!

I hear you on the cold apart from at night @MJalltheway!! I may buy a couple of thermal tops from
Uniqlo I think, they’re fab.

Polkadotdash · 13/11/2025 13:30

@BlueLimes you’re not the slowest - I am I think. 36lbs in total, about 17%. I’ve been hovering around the same mark since July with the combo of the hysterectomy and having to change to WeGovy. Sometimes it seems like my goal is out of reach (especially when I see photos of myself and I still look huge). I just keep trying to keep on. I haven’t hit my stride with Wegovy yet. Going up to 1.7mg next week to see if that has any more impact. @meatyryvita it’s really useful to hear that you had to get to 2.3mg before it kicked in for you.

In other news, my 83 year old step father has been put on ozempic this week. He’s the oldest person I know on it. I will be interested to see how that goes for him.

HeidiLite · 13/11/2025 14:58

@Polkadotdash it may be slow, but it's still 36 pounds you're not carrying around any more.

cloudjumper · 13/11/2025 15:01

Catching up (again!) - just checking
if we have a new thread yet?!?

Zempy · 13/11/2025 17:03

@Polkadotdash 36 pounds of fat is 72 packs of butter or if you’re as old as me and can remember it, lard.

72 packs of lard stuck all around your body that you were carrying around with you every day. It’s incredible to lose that weight and will have had a positive impact on your health.

Polkadotdash · 13/11/2025 17:53

@Zempy I’m laughing to myself thinking about walking about wearing 72 packs of lard 😆. But you’re all right though. I need to focus on the progress.

tinyemmy · 13/11/2025 20:44

Sorry to hear all the job worries and @JinsI hope that your brother is ok. Sorry if I missed any other big news.

My weight loss was around 28.4% to my biggest loss, but I've put on a few pounds since then. Maintaining since the end of May. I'm a shortie!

I can't remember who posted about this but I just wanted to share that I ordered my first Pharmulous order 5mg for delivery on 7th January, this was I think the longest I could stretch it out but should mean I will have mostly used up my supplies. Their rules mean that if you don't order every month you need to go down to 2.5 which is why I delayed my delivery. I can decide then whether to order several 5s in a row and have a break or if I'm ready to drop to 2.5. My photo of my pen was from a September order. Delivery was quite expensive £6.99 but I'm happy to stick with them now as I know if I do come off I can go back to them, which feels like a bit of weight off the shoulders.

I had a little op today on the roof of my mouth, so on soft foods for a while. Dinner was a tub of ice cream. Hopefully I can branch out over the next few days away from the sweet stuff! If anyone has any ideas let me know! Or if anyone has had a lump removed from the roof of their mouth and has any advice please share. I've been alternating paracetamol and ibuprofen today and feel like I've been killed into a false sense of security as it feels fine. 🙌🙏🤞

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 14/11/2025 06:13

Sorry to hear about your brother @Jins .

I’m home 😍, tired as I haven’t slept well for a few days. Decided to stick with 7.5mg as I’ve got tons of work to get through before Tuesday 😑and I will be working all weekend. I’m not sure I can deal with increased side effects over the next few days. I need to stop saying yes and remember that beyond a certain point I am giving more to HMRC than I am receiving myself - this was a big factor in deciding to leave my job.

@tinyemmy thanks for that update re Pharmulous. I did get as far as getting through the screening but as I was in a hotel didn’t take the date/time photo. I know it is lazy but I might just order from Ouskh again, they allow a 6 week break between orders. £22 difference with a code and points. Easy option.

Food wise, what about things like chicken noodle soup, you could use orzo which is tiny, risotto, scrambled eggs. I guess you could make a soup with beans or lentils and liquidise it to get something with a bit more protein. Not sure really, most ‘soft’ things I can think of are carby.

BreezyPeer · 14/11/2025 07:31

Morning 🌄 losers! Xxx

Zempy · 14/11/2025 07:39

Morning @BreezyPeer and the rest of the Losers!!

I have eaten badly this week, mainly because I have been in court all week so I have very limited control over when I can eat. Judge is being way too flexible and we didn’t break for lunch until 2:30 one day ( had shorter breaks before but I was needed in chambers) This means I get worried about when I will eat next and get anxiety that I might faint as I have low BP. I end up scoffing whatever biscuits etc are on hand any time I get the chance. Really quite disregulated eating.

Back to normal next week with a mix of wfh, client meetings, and just one day in chambers.

@BlueLimes I had some stuff to order for DD Christmas so I got the SpaceNK GWP. It looks fantastic.

8:6 today. A pound up on my lowest but I’m comfortable with that, I think!

2025istheyeari · 14/11/2025 07:39

@tinyemmyhope you feel better soon. I’d definitely agree on the soup- how about a root veg and lentil, or carrot and coriander or squash and lentil, or mushroom, all blitzed so they’re not lumpy? If you could do pulse and veg or even add chicken or bacon/ lardons to the root veg and lentil soup or actually any to get protein?
sorry will catch up in a bit but just wanted to drop in and give those suggestions! Ooh or lentil Dahl?

tinyemmy · 14/11/2025 08:00

@PenelopesPursuitPrevailsits taken me weeks to take that photo and when I finally did it felt ridiculous for leaving it so long, it really wasn't hard 🤣 definitely try them next time. I found they were a good price, but I didn't factor in shipping to all my calculations so if others don't charge for that they could be cheaper? I'm lazy so I'm sticking now. Although I'm pretty sure I have to stop mj when I titrate on my ADHD meds in January.

Thank you to you and @2025istheyearifor the suggestions, I'm visiting family this weekend in Scotland so not in charge of my own kitchen but I definitely need to get more adventurous on the soup front!

@Zempythat sounds tough, glad things will be more normal next week for you!

Zempy · 14/11/2025 08:02

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails there’s a discount and 1p delivery with code OushkFriday today. I just ordered for January delivery.

I hope you make a quick recovery, that sounds sore!! 💐

HeidiLite · 14/11/2025 08:10

@Zempy sometimes it is what it is, need to prioritise other things over healthy eating. One week will do no harm in long term.
