Another one who came last in cross country, couldn’t get across the court in time to hit a tennis ball or aim a netball. I hated running till I was an adult and did C25K on my own at my own pace. However, don’t really do it much now I have a peloton bike. I won’t run in the dark or the rain.

I wolfed down my lunch today - leftover chicken and white wine stew, with suet dumplings. And got a gallstone attack. Must have been the fat in the dumplings? Had to take a whole load of meetings while breathing through the pain. It’s been a while since it’s happened (July?), and I’ve been eating whatever I like so maybe I need to go easy on the high fat foods for a bit.

My current percentage of body weight lost is 27%. I hit that end of August and have been bouncing around between 26-27% ever since. I still feel like I might end up putting it all back on if I come off it. I just can’t believe that eating, as I am now, three solid meals a day with pudding in the evening is not going to result in me gaining.

myladyjane · 11/11/2025 21:00

the nhs lottery is exactly that isn’t it. My surgery are really good - for urgent stuff I rarely need to wait, this appointment is definitely non urgent, my preferred gp is v popular but no stress to get in. My mum is in the next county and hers is the same but my mate who lives in the county the other side can’t be seen for love nor money.

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails maybe 10lb more. My bmi is now 28 something. 10lb gets me down to a 5 stone loss and bmi of 26.9. To get down to bmi 25 is 18lb from where I am now and I just can’t be arsed. My waist is less than half my height and under 31 inches, my blood pressure is back down to normal last time I checked. When I speak to the gp I may ask her if I can have some bloods done (I have thyroid antibodies so get them done periodically to check things are still ok). If that’s all ok, I think the health benefits would be minimal - that smart bmi tool puts me in the green at bmi 27.5. What I need to focus on is still movement and the mindset. I get really scared by the maintenance tales on here if I’m honest. In my head I think that will be a January problem - year to lose, year to learn how to titrate down/maintain.

BlueLimes · 11/11/2025 21:01

Zempy · 11/11/2025 20:37

I do love Rituals!

25% off at the mo!!!

HeidiLite · 11/11/2025 21:02

@myladyjane it's not that scary! We just need some time to adjust and figure it out. But life is still so much more fun.

Thelittlestranger · 11/11/2025 21:46

Love the percentage piece - 25% I've lost! A quarter of my weight. Woweee.

Thanks for the support on my feeding the cold.

@myladyjane I'm finding maintenance difficult, but only because I feel like I'm on my own with it, given I've stopped jabbing. And that makes me scared that it will all come back on. I'm enjoying eating more than when I was trying to lose, I have more energy than when I was jabbing - for sure. And I was so bored of losing and jabbing by the end. I don't think either part is that much fun TBH 😂 It's lifing.

HeidiLite · 12/11/2025 05:37

Same here, I've lost a quarter of me! No wonder then some people who haven't seen me for a while don't even recognize me.

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 12/11/2025 07:06

Love your year to lose, year to learn @myladyjane . Makes me think … give it a year. That’s actually 11 weeks for me (to my start date). Hopefully I can lose what I want to in almost three months, even at my 🐌 pace.

Has anyone bought a pen from somewhere new that was easy and well priced recently?

Jins · 12/11/2025 07:06

22% here so better than the 20% in a year that the reports said when we all started. Obviously @Zempy didnt read the memo but what a stupendous result!

@myladyjane don’t fear maintenance. My weight on maintenance has been incredibly stable and I’ve fluctuated within a 3lb range. I’m struggling with a lack of purpose. I mean since when has staying the same been a goal! My other problem is that I’ve got a devil on my shoulder pointing out that thin people eat puddings. What I have learned from the process is that action needs to be taken immediately on going 2lb above goal, not next week, not after the weekend.

Another Hello Fresh meal ruined by the sauce for me last night. Chef forgot there were alternatives to crème fraiche in the fridge and smothered the plates. I only managed a mouthful and couldn’t face anything else to eat all evening.

Have a great day everyone.

BreezyPeer · 12/11/2025 07:17

Morning 🌄 losers! Xx
Happy hump day everyone.
I am really needing the weekend to hurry up and get here.
I didn't get the first of two jobs I went for. I feel very flat about it and a bit humiliated as its in the team I work in now.
I found out last night that the other job (not a promotion but a good sideways move) will have the same interviewers. This will be the third time one of them has interviewed me ( and I haven't got the job)
It feels a bit hopeless.
I've loved my job for years but I am both bored and overwhelmed now. I don't love it any more. I feel trapped.
I will shake it off and put on my positive pants but it's hard right now xx

MJalltheway · 12/11/2025 07:20

Morning all, 28.5% of me lost since January! Such amazing statistics for all of us, regardless of how slow or small the number of lbs might be. The percentages are quite striking!

im quite terrified of getting to maintenance too @myladyjane but that's why this thread is so important so we can help and support each other. Just hearing the experiences of @Jins @HeidiLite @Thelittlestranger and everyone else in maintenance is so helpful even when it's a struggle. It took us years to get to obese, it'll probably be years to adjust to being slim again.
I'm absolutely committed to the exercise routine I have now, I workout 5 or 6 times a week, and that's what I'm pinning my hopes on!

HeidiLite · 12/11/2025 07:41

Sorry to hear @BreezyPeer and that must indeed be challenging to have another interview with those same people. But you can probably learn from previous experiences, what went well and where you later thought that oh should have said something different? It is very annoying when your job isn't what you need it to be any more.

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 12/11/2025 07:42

That's tough @BreezyPeer , stay strong and give it your best. I can tell you a story about being interviewed by the same people more than once and being unsuccessful. About ten years ago I interviewed for two roles within a year. Same two people on the panel, these women were almost sneery at times. I was smarter than them in both the dress and other sense and I felt their disdain for me. They felt like the worst example of public sector leadership tbh. Didn't get either role. But when I got my next job which was head of paid service in another public sector organisation, I became their client under a SLA 💣- boom!

I've been runner up so many times in the last two years. Some of these recruitment processes have taken three days plus prep which is crazy isn't it.

@Jins, also keep forgetting to report that the colon cleanse isnt working for me 😫. Everything seems to work for a short time and then ☠. Nothing. I might speak to the pharmacist today. Movicol is making me feel sick these days.

HeidiLite · 12/11/2025 07:57

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails I quite enjoyed when I started as in-house counsel and was suddenly not at the beck and call of law firm partners, but they became my service providers instead.

myladyjane · 12/11/2025 08:27

@BreezyPeer sucks my lovely. Their loss.

@HeidiLite, @PenelopesPursuitPrevails it’s common in my line of work (which is pretty niche) for hunter to turn gamekeeper. I haven’t and am unlikely to now but one of my clients has. It’s both blessing and curse - he gets it (good) but he gets it (baaaad)

I had a stealth weigh in this morning a day early and down a lb which surprised me tbh, I’ve eaten a tiny bit more over the past couple of weeks and it seems to be a bit better - I went too low I think.

2025istheyeari · 12/11/2025 08:46

Glad the percentage lost call is helping you all, I included it in my weight loss spreadsheet as extra motivation! Well done everyone, some great stats! I’ve lost 36% of my starting weight which I’m thrilled about!

Agree with everyone on the lower carb approach, I’ve previously lost on f800 and have kept some principles but I do have carbs, less of them for sure but carby veg, fruit and whole grain rice and bread are all staples on my diet.

Oh @BreezyPeerI hear you, it’s tough but like @PenelopesPursuitPrevails
says, keep on. Be you and be confident, can you ask for feedback so you know what to focus on? Can you speak to the interviewer directly and ask what your focus areas need to be maybe? I’m sure there were lots of positives that may help build your confidence too, that’s just as important. I’m still waiting to hear about 6 interview job 🫣and I’ve been in the final 2 for 4 processes in the last 2 months, that feels worse than not getting anywhere in some ways but I’m dusting myself off and trying to take the positives. I agree on the time it takes to prep, I’m interviewed out tbh! Lots of luck and solidarity.

happy hump day losers, off out for mil 80th. They’re going home tomorrow, I’ve survived!

2025istheyeari · 12/11/2025 08:48

Sorry @myladyjanemissed that, congrats on your loss!
I’m also scared about maintenance! Or at least without MJ! Also on the lookout for a provider who’s reasonably priced like Penelope, so if anyone has any ideas please shout!

meatyryvita · 12/11/2025 09:45

Morning all, the % are a wonderful stat aren't they and such a fantastic motivator. I just ran mine and I've lost 29.5% of my initial body weight - holy guacamole!

Sorry to hear about the interview shenanigans @BreezyPeer - so demotivating and frustrating for you. DH had some interviews early last year for different roles in his company. One of the interviewers interviewed him for two different roles and so DH was wary about not getting the second job given the interviewer had turned him down for the first. Lo and behold, he got the second job and the interviewer told him that he'd been rooting for him on both occasions. Best of luck!

@2025istheyeari, @PenelopesPursuitPrevails I am with pharmulous at the moment and probably planning to stay with them. Efficient, responsive and helpful. They don’t do codes but are well priced

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 12/11/2025 22:07

Thank you @myladyjane I will have a look at them.

2025istheyeari · 13/11/2025 04:57

Thanks @myladyjaneI may contact them, it says they’ll take new people but mostly BMI over 24 and I’m under that for the first time in probably my adult life. Maybe I’ll see how I go titrating down to 5mg then review.

In other news, I’m joining @BreezyPeerin being completely and utterly deflated on the job front. I found out late last night that I didn’t get the role I had 6 interviews for. You were excellent, we loved meeting you, it was a difficult decision blah. Third role in 2 weeks where I got to final 2. I’m so over job hunting, it’s such a difficult market. I’m tired and fed up, but the good news is it didn’t make me want to eat or drink, in fact I was awake for hours convincing myself that today is the first day of c25k so that’s what I’m doing to do when it’s light. Dispatch parents in law, do c25k and make a start on sorting my sons ‘playroom’ . I was supposed to be out in London tonight but I’ve cancelled, not feeling it. I’m going to take a couple of days to forget about jobs and focus on getting stuff done that will make me feel good!!

Went out for mils 80th yesterday, got a bit overexcited with the soup starter and homemade bread with pumpkin butter and could barely touch my main! Haven’t jabbed for 10 days either, so odd!

ETA for typos!

HeidiLite · 13/11/2025 05:56

@2025istheyeari oh so annoying, especially if you always make the final 2. Maybe you need a little break from job hunt and to start fresh again? I had a friend going through similar recently, but finally landed a better role than any of the previous, I'm sure it will happen to you.

BlueLimes · 13/11/2025 06:16

@2025istheyeari so disappointing and exhausting for you. Definitely take a break for a few days. Think you need a ‘you’ day good luck with c5k today.

BreezyPeer · 13/11/2025 06:45

I am not going to jab today. I will probably go for Sunday to give a 10 day gap. I really don't want to lose any more. I feel like 11 stone is my happy weight. I have had a very stressful couple of weeks and I feel like I look 'drawn' which is not a good look!
Good luck to everyone weighing and jabbing xxx

BreezyPeer · 13/11/2025 06:45

Morning 🌄 losers! Xxx

BreezyPeer · 13/11/2025 06:49

@2025istheyeari I am sorry! It's so disappointing, especially when the process is so draining.
I agree with @BlueLimes and @HeidiLite , take a break, do your c25k and decluttering and most of all have some time to yourself!
I'm thinking of you in solidarity ❤️ xxx
