Good morning everyone. Still feeling under par here. I made chicken noodle soup yesterday which helped but still dizzy with an upset stomach.

@2025istheyeari sounds like a great trip, I’m sure the weight will fall off.

@Jins I’ve turned something down based on commute alone before, life’s too short.

I went back to Oushk for a pen, very easy ordering process and approved within a day. I found something recent on my nhs app with weight and height which made it very easy.

BreezyPeer · 22/10/2025 07:46

Morning 🌄 losers!
Hope everyone has a good day.
I've jabbed 5mg after 10 days today. Suppression has started to wane. I might jab after 8 days next week. I just want to get to 10 St anything 10st 13 will be fine! Xx

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 22/10/2025 08:56

I’ll tell you what’s funny though, the height recorded on my medical records is my height minus 4”. 😳

MJalltheway · 22/10/2025 10:54

Sorry to hear you're still under the weather @PenelopesPursuitPrevails , could it be Covid? Every time I've had it, it's made me intensely dizzy. Hope you start to feel better soon. And you too @Zempy 💐
@2025istheyeari blips and holidays are going to happen, the key is to just get back on it, get back in routine and crack on.

Im off work this week so have just done an early body balance class, lovely way to start the day. Feeling slightly frustrated that although I'm so close to goal I still have quite a belly. 😠 Legs are good, arms are good but stomach still flabby. Sigh.

HeidiLite · 22/10/2025 11:28

@2025istheyeari I'm sure most of it is just water, you can't put on 8 pounds of fat per week.
But that's one thing we need to learn to manage - relaxing a bit and then getting back on the wagon.

Jins · 22/10/2025 11:38

Morning all!

I’m fully recovered from my afternoon of trauma and most of the weight is back on again but I’m not too bothered. I seem to be maintaining pretty well but don’t deserve to. It’s as if I’ve learned nothing from these last months 🤦‍♀️. I don’t feel as if I have any suppression at all anymore and it’s only the slowing of transit that’s stopping me overeating. However portion sizes are still considerably smaller than pre MJ and I’m not going to beat myself up for a couple of biscuits or some chocolate.

I filled a wardrobe gap yesterday by making an oversized (by design) black T shirt with elbow length sleeves. Warmer than my usual sleeveless tops and my horrible crepey upper arms are hidden so it’s a winner.

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 22/10/2025 12:06

@MJalltheway I hadn't thought of COVID tbh, I thought what I had on 1st October onwards for about ten days was probably COVID, this is literally just a really upset stomach and stomach cramps.

I've been grateful that I poached a chicken and made stock on Sunday and proper chicken noodle soup yesterday. Just what I need/needed.

mince3point14159265 · 22/10/2025 14:53

Glad you had a fantastic time in Budapest @2025istheyeari , it really is a beautiful city isn't it! I'm sure the weight gain is a very temporary blip too. I'm in a similar situation after the weekend; scales showed a 3lb gain yesterday but a a pound has already come off this morning and I do wonder if my weight last week was artificially low thanks to being ill. Like others have said, we need to learn to enjoy these fabulous times away and then just get back on the diet when back home and not just say f*ckit and give in to the biscuit tin!

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails when you described how you were feeling when you first got ill I thought you had assumed it was covid but not bothered testing. This strain was a real doozy so maybe it's just left some lingering problems what with your compromised immune system? Whatever it may be, take it easy and stop trying to be Superwoman!
When I got sick I did do a test and the line lit up like a Christmas tree almost straight away, but the control line took so long to develop that I thought it was a faulty test! Only tested as didn't want to risk passing it to my parents. Definitely knocked me for 6! Really hope it's not covid for you too @Zempy 🤞

Happy hump day to you all x

BreezyPeer · 22/10/2025 15:06

Had a brain blip this morning and ordered a 12.5mg pen from weprescribe.co.uk
After a couple of supplementary questions they approved the order and its already been shipped. I haven't ordered since July so I expected more issues.

I feel a bit more settled in my head that I've got this in my fridge. I will have about 9 months to stabilise and maintain on MJ after this pen finishes.

myladyjane · 22/10/2025 16:33

i’ve had a bit of an issue. Things are ‘not right’. I injected just under 10 last Friday (a day late) and I have been off ever since. Normal bad wind (both ends - nice) but more nausea, tired, thirsty, bad sleep and light headed. Been at a work thing today and got the worst dizziness and almost passed out. Very much off my food as well - don’t think I’ve managed more than 1000 per day all week. Not sure if this is mj or a bug or what but today I have had oj (someone got me something sweet as apparently I went white as a sheet), a latte and a small biscuit. Not good.

am heading back home now and dh is making sure I have something proper whether I fancy it or not. But the idea makes me queasy.

2025istheyeari · 22/10/2025 17:02

Thanks everyone. I know you’re right, think I was just surprised at how quickly weight can go in but as @HeidiLite says, hopefully most of it water etc! Anyway, have spent the day making nutritious meals and eaten well.

Blimey @myladyjane that sounds awful. Look after yourself and try to eat something if you can. @PenelopesPursuitPrevailsand @Zempy yours sound horrid too. Hope you both feel better soon.

Yes @mince3point14159265 and @Zempy Budapest really is amazing! We last went 25 years ago and it rained all weekend so that clouded my view but this weekend was blue skies all the way and the history and buildings are stunning and sometimes sobering ( the shoes along the Danube 😓), but highly recommend for a city break. DS (16) loved it too.

HeidiLite · 22/10/2025 17:53

@2025istheyeari even if it wasn't raining, Budapest 25 years ago was a very different place. I lived there around that time and when I went back last year, could barely recognize it. It's lovely indeed.

In other news, I think I need to buy some thermal underwear. Freezing all the time. Our office was 22.8C today, should be a reasonable temperature and I'm wearing sweaters and otherwise reasonable warm clothes, but clearly not enough. We have a relaxed dress code but I'm thinking that Oodie may still be a bit much. Then again, one colleague comes in Crocs so that's probably equivalent?

2025istheyeari · 22/10/2025 18:43

@HeidiLite 🤣🤣to the oodie!!
And no we didn’t recognise it, such an amazing place! Have a fab time in Athens, that’s on our list too.

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 22/10/2025 19:12

@HeidiLite I actually came very close to falling off my chair when I joined a teams meeting with a fairly new colleague who was wearing a bright pale blue oodie with yellow ducks all over it. I just couldn’t believe that anyone thought that might be ok (external stakeholders present), I was honestly 👀very shocked.

Sorry more of us are feeling rubbish, @myladyjane poor you. Are you going to reduce your dose a bit or delay? I should be injecting tomorrow but I’ll delay it (again) until I’m feeling more like myself.

I’ve had dinner 🤞. I impressed myself actually, salmon, pea purée, roasted vine tomatoes and new potatoes. Didn’t eat much but at least I cooked and ate something (enjoyed it). I have now got stomach ache 😬.

HeidiLite · 22/10/2025 19:17

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails I do question some people's judgement. Was just complaining to my boss one morning that some people take the casual dresscode way too far, then we both joined a teams meeting and both colleagues there were wearing tiny strappy tanktops with their tits boobs hanging out. Yes it was summer and all, but we're all lawyers, not working for Hooters.

myladyjane · 22/10/2025 20:34

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails I dont think I’ll dose tomorrow and play by ear on Friday. I need to weigh in at some point but kinda putting it off as I can’t face the idea of sts again for all this grief!

@HeidiLite I can be a shocker for looking a bit too relaxed on a teams call but we are talking keeping my camera off if I have wet hair and it’s internal or wearing sweatshirts. I have been known to wear an oodie but only on calls with very tight knit colleagues and never clients or people I don’t know ultra well!

mince3point14159265 · 22/10/2025 21:24

Have got used to the sight of DH bringing me up a cup of tea very early in the morning with a work shirt on top and pyjama bottoms when he's had a very early work call!

meatyryvita · 23/10/2025 06:51

@Zempy @PenelopesPursuitPrevails @myladyjane i hope you’re all starting to feel better!

weigh in day for me and just 1lb gone - this really is a long slog, isn’t it? I’m now back where I was a month ago. I’ll continue with the extra Wegovy to get the suppression but once I’ve finished my 12 months with SheMed, I’ll find an MJ supplier I think.

Slight increase this week which always seems to happen when I am near a set point or goal weight.
Good luck to everyone weighing and jabbing xxx ❤️

BreezyPeer · 23/10/2025 06:57

Morning 🌄 losers!
@meatyryvita slow loss is frustrating but you have come a really long way, its not easy, be proud! Xx
@mince3point14159265 that's a great image! I do something similar myself with joggers and a smart top- have to remember to change when I go out on visits!
Have a great day everyone xxx

HeidiLite · 23/10/2025 07:11

Good morning @Zempy and other losers.
And yes it's long, but if you look at it from another perspective, we have managed to stick to the program since january!

@mince3point14159265 I had a colleague who did the same, only dressed top half for business, then forgot and stood up during the meeting wearing tiny running shorts.. :D

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 23/10/2025 07:17

@HeidiLite thr mere mention of Hooters gives me PTSD. I used to do a lot of work in Houston. On my first trip there I was horrified when all of my male colleagues went for a big night out with our client and their extended professional team to Hooters. Over the years no trip was completed without two or three nights out there. I was in my late twenties, strong, vocal and the only female in my field at the time. Horrible, the work place was very different back then.

I’m so boring that even at worst I’ll have clean ironed jeans and a nice shirt in ehen wfh, that would be me @HeidiLite , standing up and everything going pear shaped.

@meatyryvita commiserations, I ate yesterday so have gained 1.5lbs, give me strength.

Feeling ok here, I hope everyone else is doing okay.

meatyryvita · 23/10/2025 07:25

I am now wondering if I’m full of sh&t. I mean that literally (although many colleagues would argue for a figurative interpretation). I was in the office yesterday and I never poo at work (never have) and so I’ve not been for about 48 hours.

I’ll weigh again tomorrow morning and see if the scale shifts.

what a lovely TMI for you all first thing this morning 😂💩

Zempy · 23/10/2025 07:30

Thanks for all the get well wishes. I am still snotty and headache is rotten.

However, on the plus side, I am back to 8:9 this morning, so that holiday weight just fell off! So weird.

I am another wfh bod who wears shirt and jacket with jogging bottoms. If I am in an informal internal only meeting I would wear a chunky jumper, but we are pretty strict on dress code in legal sector. I have an entire black wardrobe for court, although navy suits me much better now I am older.

Have a good day everyone!

HeidiLite · 23/10/2025 07:39

@Zempy just curious, still as strict after covid? I'm in-house now and some of my colleagues, as mentioned, interpret 'casual' as 'beachwear'. I understand that it does not really affect the work result, but personally I like to look smarter and have a bit of a difference between my office clothes and what I would wear to walk the dogs in the forest.
