I injected 40 clicks of a 12.5 pen tonight, which I think is about 8.33 mg. I did 9mg last time but had ten days between doses. I am planning to dose 7.5 after 7 days and keep reducing until I am maintaining.

Thelittlestranger · 19/10/2025 21:09

I have uploaded a load of stuff to Vinted today and sent a few items off. So far, I've only spent what I've earnt which is very satisfying. Not sure how long I'll last with that though! I got into a rhythm with taking photos, and once done, packed them straight into the envelopes. Hoping I can sell some more this week and then buy some lulemon leggings. Mine are like baggy trousers on me - so will sell them, once I've bought some others.

One week of work, then away for a few days. Very focused on that at the moment. I need some time off.

HeidiLite · 20/10/2025 06:00

Happy Monday losers!

Vinted is weird, some random stuff gets 100 offers and sells in 2 minutes - but some really gorgeous items just hang there, no views. Well I have the space, they can hang. Have people on your Vinted (I have a different geographical area) also started listing items as NWoT when they really mean worn but in good condition? I've been listing things as new only if I haven't actually worn them, but it seems I'm doing it wrong.

Have had some really successful purchases recently so warrobe is getting reasoably full again - and everything matches. For winter I now have plum/burgundy, dusky pink and light blue. Grey, taupe and navy for neutrals. Want a pair of knee high boots in navy still.

@Thelittlestranger I have bought several pairs of Lulu dupes straight from DHGate, I can't see any difference comparing with my original ones. Delivery takes for ever but as I need a lot of sports clothes, worth the savings. Also found a new sports bra brand I had not tried before and really like it - https://www.yvettesports.com/

Morning 🌄 losers!
Pay Day today. I've gone to buy the LF grooming calendar for DS and its sold out! What a disappointing start to the week 😪

Jins · 20/10/2025 07:48

That is disappointing @BreezyPeer.

It’s birthday time of year, DS1 this week and DS2 next week. Yet again I’ve got too much month left for my money so I’m glad of my MJ stockpile until January. I really need to clear some freezer space this week and get it defrosted but it’s not my favourite thing to do.

Nearing crisis point with tops as well so I need to see if I can alter the ones by my sewing machine. I had a scan of the shops last week and wasn’t struck by anything. I can do the oversized vibe though 🤣

Have a great week everyone!

meatyryvita · 20/10/2025 10:01

Morning losers!!

Great news on the dating front @BreezyPeer but sorry to hear about the advent calendar - frustrating!

My Bonne Maman calendar arrived (rather early!) and it's full of calorie-packed delights such as chocolate caramel spread and salted caramel spread, in addition to lots of weird and wonderful jams.

I am on week 2 of 1.7mg of Wegovy and on Thursday night (I injected on Thursday am as usual) and Friday morning, was feeling very little suppression again. I thought to myself, as I've still got the 1mg pen, why don't I use a bit of that too (I know, self-prescribing tsk etc.). Still, I gave myself about a third of a dose and so up to around 2mg and FINALLY felt some good suppression. It was odd that whilst I was putting on some mascara on Saturday morning, I was looking in the mirror and got a bit of nausea (which I used to get here and there on 7.5 mg of MJ) which was almost an indicator that it had kicked in.

I ate just over 1000 cals on Saturday (but was very busy and did over 16K steps) and then about 1200 yesterday and I'm already a lb down on Thursday's weigh in. I'm eating until satisfied and continuing to make good choices, so I think I'll give this a go again this week and see how it goes.

On the NSV front, we pop to a retail outlet in Portsmouth every now and again (Gunwharf Quays) where there's a lovely Ralph Lauren Polo shop. I always go in and look around wistfully because I was too bit for most of their clothes. We popped in on Sunday and I got a pair of size 12 Polo jeans (they were a bargain at £46) and they look fantastic!

Wishing everyone a healthy and peaceful Monday!

good to hear Wegovy is working for you @meatyryvita

I am also rocking an oversized asymmetric sweater today @Jins No it's not supposed to be oversized but hey, it works so I have declared it a fashion statement. 😁
Still freezing cold though.

myladyjane · 20/10/2025 12:38

@Jins we are also autumn birthdays here (my mil told me about a particularly frisky NYE party with FIL when looking at my September born husband and my own mother gets misty eyed at Valentines with end of October me. Thank god my children were conceived in a test tube I say).

@meatyryvita interesting re the weygovy. I have not ruled out a switch when I’m in maintenance so like to hear how others are doing.

weird NSV for me - I had a good dentist appointment. I have piss poor teeth and always need a lot of work. Today not only are my nashers in god nick but the slight gum issues have resolved. Either less inflammation or better self care or both but I was really chuffed.

HeidiLite · 20/10/2025 12:54

my kids have their birthdays on consecutive days, 9 months from my birthday. Coincidence, I'm sure :D

Jins · 20/10/2025 13:29

DS1 was due on Xmas Eve, DS2 on my birthday in mid November. DS1 was born at 32 weeks and DS2 at 37. I can’t tell you how many people joke that DH must have had a good birthday. The reality is very different but they are overstepping anyway so I tend to ignore 🤣

BreezyPeer · 20/10/2025 16:32

I've been looking for other calendars and think I might go for the BooHoo one. Has anyone ever had this? It looks decent, not as exotic as the LF one but . . . Late beggars can't be chosers 🤣

Could make your own ???

Also confused on the judgy bench - how many different dates? 2 men seen twice ??

BreezyPeer · 20/10/2025 18:21

@BlueLimes judgy bench is needed! So, two different men, one I've seen for 3 dates and one for two dates. I have future dates booked in with both.
I did not think this was going to be my problem! I have stopped looking on the app while this situation plays out. I don't need anymore complications. Its really lovely actually, lots of attention, lots of trips out. Having a great time.
I did look at making an advent calendar but it's even more expensive and I like the idea of getting a set of items which is curated by someone else 😀 xx

mince3point14159265 · 20/10/2025 18:51

Evening all. Just a trying to catch up quickly now that we're back from a lovely weekend away for our anniversary in the New Forest.

Fantastic result there @LillethCrane , well done! Bet you feel as good as you look now!

What amazing dating app are you using @BreezyPeer that seems to screen out the losers & creeps automatically? Just asking for a friend! 😜 Glad you're having a good time though. 😅

No idea what the scales have in store for me as it was a lovely foodie hotel, although I did still skip breakfast. The weather was a bit of a disappointment, so we didn't get to do as much cycling as we'd hoped.

@HeidiLite you might appreciate this little story; on Sunday the rain was relentless and while we were having lunch in the packed bar, the father of a German family sat near us was asking about what facilities were available in the spa. The youngish waitress described the pool, jacuzzi, sauna etc and the man asked if clothes were necessary in the sauna. The waitress was probably too young to know what is normal etiquette in European spas and said that he would probably want to take some of his clothes off as it does get quite steamy in there! 🤣

Another York connection here; DS1 went there for his degrees and absolutely loved it. Still has friends up there so goes quite frequently still. Think he would move there if he could get a job. We were looking forward to spending more time visiting him while he was there but then bloody Covid hit and put the kibosh on our plans. 🙄

Wishing you all a good week x

HeidiLite · 20/10/2025 19:42

@mince3point14159265 that's hilarious!
I've been to a sauna at a gym in the US where people indeed sat fully clothed in their tracksuits, scrolling on their phones. Sauna was lukewarm but still, eww.

BreezyPeer · 20/10/2025 20:34

@mince3point14159265 I don't know about the amazing app.
I've had a couple of corkers! Block 🚫 and move on!
It has been quite good so far though . . . We'll have to wait and see xx

mince3point14159265 · 20/10/2025 20:49

Now that's too funny @HeidiLite ! 🤣🤣🤣

@BreezyPeer if you come across some good bios (and by good I mean dreadful, obvs) can you post some excerpts here?!

Jins · 21/10/2025 08:23

Morning losers!

Well I had a most unpleasant afternoon yesterday which started with some intense stomach cramps and ended up with me being nearly 2lbs lighter after numerous productive bathroom visits. I had no idea that I was so constipated! I’m pretty sure it’s linked to my glutening a while back but OMG I’m so glad I was at home. Hopefully it’s settled now and I can get back on track.

No plans for today at the moment so it’s probably a good day to sort the freezer out but it’s miserable and rainy and the idea of going to the shed isn’t appealing. I’ve just realised that I haven’t left the house since Friday so getting out would probably be beneficial.

Have a great day all!

MJalltheway · 21/10/2025 08:58

Oh @Jins what a way to lose weight! Better out than in I'm sure, hope you are a bit more settled now!

I was due to have a second interview today but decided to cancel after all. Don't think the job would have been compelling enough an offer to move from current (very local, nice hours, long holidays) so would rather not waste theirs and my time.

booked a couple of days away in Barcelona next week, looking forward to hopefully a little bit of sun and relaxation. I am so cold almost all the time here I really just want to feel warm!

Scales down again this morning, getting so close to goal. And like quite a few of you, I'm considering whether I want that to be my final goal even though it seemed unattainable at the start. I'd be slap-bang in the middle of the 'good' BMI range which is why I set that as the target initially. But I might aim for a couple of kilos lower

PenelopesPursuitPrevails · 21/10/2025 09:09

Morning all, @Jins are you me? I literally came over feeling nauseous and sweaty in an instant, I then had a terrible terrible upset stomach (had to drive home). It continued all evening. I went to bed at 7pm.

I now weigh 12st 9lb.

@MJalltheway good for making a decision, have a good break and 🎖on losing further.

I'm wavering on one of my consultancy offers, have not signed on the dotted line yet. I think it might involve more travel than I want. I thought I wanted it for the 💰, but having reflected, I think I want the lifestyle I'm trying to carve out more than 💰.

Jins · 21/10/2025 09:28

@PenelopesPursuitPrevails i might be you. What a coincidence!
@MJalltheway good decision. I cancelled an interview for a job I virtually had in the bag because the drive there was horrendous, even after the morning rush. Told them it was because of the commute, half thought about asking if I could be based at a satellite office but decided not to bother. It was useful as it confirmed that I wanted to move out of local government but not for just anything

HeidiLite · 21/10/2025 10:21

@MJalltheway good decision, if you feel meh about the job then it's not meant to be. I'm relieved actually the one I was interviewing went for the other candidate - it was a public company with HQ and the manager in the US - I've already worked for a company like that and definitely, definitely don't miss it. Life is way too short and we spend so much of it at work, so it better be reasonably good.

Thelittlestranger · 21/10/2025 12:15

That's my current role, and am now interviewing for another similar one. They approached me - I had almost written myself out of this industry and to do something completely different, and now I'm biting at the potential opportunity. I can't work out if it's just because I'm desperate to leave where I am, or if I actually want the job. Shall continue on it to see where it nets out - will only have to make a decision then...

2025istheyeari · 22/10/2025 06:40

Hi everyone
Checking in after a fab long weekend in Budapest.

Good luck to fellow jobhunters. @MJalltheway great that you’ve made the right decision for you, I don’t think you can underestimate how important commute/ flexibility etc are.

@Jins and @PenelopesPursuitPrevails hope you feel better soon.

@DGonMJ, @HeidiLite @Thelittlestranger and @MJalltheway have great trips!

@Zempy and @mince3point14159265 your trips sound fab, and hopefully any gained weight will disappear soon!

@BreezyPeer ooh, dates sound great, make the most of fun times and glad it’s going well, I’m sure something will help make your mind up soon. So annoying about the calendar😳

@LillethCrane amazing, bet you feel fabulous!

@myladyjane hope your wind buggers off soon and that you see a downwards move on the scales.

Sorry, am sure I’ve missed people out so well done for anyone with victories, scale or otherwise! Will read back properly later.

I had a dreadful week eating wise, the worst I’ve had since starting this journey and it scared me somewhat! I’ve had no self control, in fact I’d say I’ve just completely lost the plot!! In Budapest I ate and drank with abandon and I nearly didn’t get on the scales this morning! I decided that was old me and that I needed to do it to shock me into action and omg I’ve put on 8 pounds!! In one week 🫣. I’d already done a supermarket order with lots of veg and protein so today I’m making green masala soup, squash and lentil soup, chilli and a curry. I’ll jab later ( first move down to 7.5mg which I’m also worried about, hoping willpower kicks in!) and focus on protein, fibre and veg. Wish me luck!

Zempy · 22/10/2025 07:02

@2025istheyeari that’s an impressive gain! Hopefully most of it is water/inflammation. Budapest is so beautiful isn’t it?

I seem to have another lurgy. Head banging. Throat is sore. Grrrrr!
