Bit premature but planning on starting with Mounjaro in next week or so.

I’ve struggled with my weight for the majority of my life and despite having periods of being within the realms of ‘healthy’ weights, these have been difficult to get to and v hard to maintain. I’m now keen to sort things out, once and for all before I’m 40. (Given myself a buffer as currently 36…) 😅

SW: 14st 7lb
1st GW: 13st

@narcASDthanks for the reminder about chia seeds! I could use something to move things along. Will put some in my breakfast smoothie tomorrow!

Make sure you give them 10-15min at least to soak in the liquid before you drink/eat them (if you weren't already aware!)

narcASD · 25/10/2025 23:40

@PfizerFan great stuff I also had a bun less burger 🤣
I went straight up to 5 and it’s working great.

@LookAtThatMartin I am with juniper, they are very good, not the cheapest but they did offer a discount when I went to cancel, the customer service, delivery and app are great so far.

@StrongLikeMamma welcome, they do annoy me as get stuck in my teeth but so many health benefits, I put them in yogurt and let them soak for a bit, I also mix in a scoop of vanilla protein powder and it’s actually really nice.

narcASD · 25/10/2025 23:42

@WegoGirl that’s good that your not gaining, definitely a win, the weight will come off, it effects everyone differently but the end result is what counts

cheekysausage123 · 26/10/2025 06:06

Morning gang, bright and early here as our toddler doesn’t get the clocks going back.

Due to go up to 5mg today and I had planned to stay on 2.5mg but my losses have really slowed down and suppression isn’t what it was… Here’s my first 4 weeks of losses below, if it helps anyone else.

SW 14st 9lb
5/10/25: -3.8lb (14st 5.2lb)
12/10/25: - 3.6lb (14st 1.6lb)
17/10/25: - 2.0lb (13st 13.6lb)
24/10/25: -0.6lb (13 st 13lb)

Glad to hear it’s working well for you @narcASD

@LookAtThatMartinI’d recommend using Monj website, they’re all registered UK pharmacies and will have had to have the correct checks etc.

Just done my first weigh in and about to do my second jab……and I’ve lost 5lbs!!! Oh the relief! I know the first week is mainly water etc but it’s such a good start. I’m so happy 😁

VioletandMauve · 26/10/2025 06:28

@cheekysausage123 that’s a great first month, thanks for posting that! Good luck with the 5mg.

narcASD · 26/10/2025 08:32

Morning all
that is early @cheekysausage123 but clocks go back tonight so you might have an even earlier start tomorrow! Let us know how you feel with the 5mg, it took about 6 hours to feel it working then bam, food noise silenced, must feel good to be in a lower stone bracket too!

StrongLikeMamma · 26/10/2025 08:48

@narcASDand @Moosey898 yep I usually put chia seeds in my protein smoothie, had just forgotten.
Ate a kiwi last night as hadn’t had a poo all day yesterday (sorry if tmi) then this morning’s constipation was not fun!
Off to make one right now 🧋

The clocks went back last night.

narcASD · 26/10/2025 09:08

@VioletandMauvewow! Almost half a stone!

narcASD · 26/10/2025 09:13

@StrongLikeMammayeah I get the constipation it’s awful, I’m also having milled flaxseeds too, I suffer from IBS so find it helps a bit

ah I didn’t realise clocks already gone back as my phone does it automatically 😆

Calyx72 · 26/10/2025 09:24

I am with My London Pharmacy and my second pen hasn’t arrived on time! Today is my jab day (week 5) and I don’t have the new pen! I see it was ordered on 19th Oct but hasn’t been dispatched. I have emailed them. I have used an insulin needle to take a 5th dose from my first pen - lucky my husband and I ordered them but if it hadn’t worked I would have been stuck!

Sunshinesally77 · 25/10/2025 15:36

Hi all! So excited to see everyone's progress here 🙂

I was wondering how everyone has found week three? I have felt much more bloated and constipated (tmi!) And also my weight loss hasn't budged for a week! Anyone else in similar boat?

My weight has gone up the past few days but I am thinking it’ll be period weight as I am due soon.
Not too constipated though which is amazing for me.

Calyx72 · 26/10/2025 09:47

Meant to say I was nervous of using the insulin needle but didn’t feel a thing!

Me either! DH informed me this morning 😆

StrongLikeMamma · 26/10/2025 09:51

And thanks for the flaxseed idea will try that too! @narcASD

I didn't actually but can feel my clothes a bit looser. Not hugely but a touch! Tbh I'm also weighing too often and should focus on the bigger pic xx
4 pounds is not nothing! I think that's great progress and better to be steady than fast I expect long term x

That’s fab you can feel your clothes looser that’s what we all really want in the end the scales are just a number and dosnt show the whole picture. That’s for saying 4lbs is great progress it all adds up in the end. With that 4lb and the Wegovy weight I’ve lost nearly 9lbs now so getting there slowly x

I think we overthink the needle and it hurting don’t we but when we go to do it it’s absolutely fine x

That’s a nightmare your pen didn’t arrive, thank god you had ordered needles for the golden dose. What dose pen did you order this time? x

Hows everyone doing?
Lost another 3lb this week! 11 pounds in total so far! It wore off today though, and I treated myself to a (bunless) burger. Still, I need the iron right?

4th Jab tomorrow morning and need to decide whether to go up to 5mg or start with 3.75... what is everyone else doing?

Hi , that’s great weight loss well done, 4th week tomorrow for me going to do 2.5mg I think then definitely move up the week after. Just unsure whether to do 3.75mg or 5mg 🤔🤔🤔. I would have done 3.75mg tomorrow but I don’t want to be ill this week coming as it’s half term and they kids are off x

I'm nervous too. Someone mentioned they were quite long compared to the pen ones. Daft question, but do you need to push the needle all the way in to inject or just the top of it?

narcASD · 26/10/2025 13:48

@Nandina I didn’t push the insulin needle all the way, it doesn’t hurt at all

I'm the same! Meant to be going away for a few days next week and dont want any nasty side effects... might start with 3.75

Calyx72 · 26/10/2025 17:17

@Elliebearbluesordered 2.5mg for my second pen.
@Nandinano such thing as a daft question! I pushed most of the way in but not all the way. I found it easier than the pen. The only issue was an air bubble in the syringe when drawing the liquid in. I could only get 0.7mls fluid out and I used the whole 0.1ml getting rid of the air bubble. I only just got the 0.6ml dose!
